Today on the Aligned Love Podcast, we have the incredible somatic healing expert and yoga instructor, Veronica Rottman, here to discuss how we can nurture our feminine essence to create profound connections. Tuning in, you’ll hear all about how Veronica’s family inspired her to get into her line of work, why, as a woman in particular, you need to understand your body, and how Veronica helps her clients connect to their feminine essence.

We then delve into how menstrual cycles are a roadmap to understanding the female body before we discuss why you need to be aware of your own, especially when dating. So many women have been forced to be more ‘in the masculine’ when needing to be providers for themselves and even for children, and in this episode, our guest tells us how we can embody our feminine sides when in this position.

Finally, Veronica tells us what her definition of aligned love is and why it has so much to do with rhythm. Thank you for tuning in and learning more about connecting to your feminine essence! Don’t forget to rate, review, and subscribe to the podcast so we can reach more listeners.

Key Points From This Episode:

  • The importance of understanding the language of your body, specifically as a female.
  • How to connect to yourself as women.
  • The power of using your menstrual cycle when dating.
  • How to use your menstrual cycle to step fully into your feminine power.
  • How to continue to embody the feminine while having to be in your masculine as a provider.
  • Why rhythm in relationships is Veronica’s definition of aligned love.
  • What’s next for Veronica and where listeners can learn more about her work.

Quotes:

“When you come back into your body you get to heal the parts of you that were fragmented as a woman because you were forced to pretend that you were in a completely different nervous system [and body] than you actually are.” — Veronica [0:08:01]

“Our whole community thrives when we honor each other’s [menstrual] cycles.” — Veronica [0:16:47]

“Trauma makes you have to try harder even when you’re doing simple tasks.” — Veronica [0:29:26]

Ryan Haddon is a certified Life and Spiritual coach, Hypnotherapist, and certified Meditation teacher with over 16 years of experience with clients around the world. A sought-after public speaker for corporate retreats and wellness events, Ryan does private workshops such as “Stepping Into Your Purpose,” “The Work/Life Balance,” and “Finding Your Center.” She’s also the in-house Life Coach at Kourtney Kardashian’s website Poosh, where she writes mind/body/spirit articles.

The daughter of an international supermodel and actress, Ryan had a wonderfully unique life growing up in Toronto, New York, and Paris. She fell in love with meditation and spirituality as a teen, which led her to travel to India where she finished high school. After graduating from Boston University with a degree in journalism, she worked for The MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour and Good Morning America, as an on-air personality for Extra! and Court TV, and modeled for L’Oreal before transitioning into story development at a film production company.

While living in Hollywood, Ryan realized she wasn’t living the life she wanted and was searching for happiness in all the wrong places. On her path of healing, she sought out mentors, healers, spiritualists, and a tribe of people to grow and learn alongside. This journey eventually led Ryan to work with other women, helping them heal from toxic relationships, drug and alcohol abuse, eating disorders, codependence, low self-esteem, and many other issues. In so doing, she discovered a passion for helping others, which solidified her commitment to growing and changing.

Ryan was certified as a Life Coach by the International Coaching Federation, the only governing body for coaches. She was also certified as a Meditation Teacher through 200 Hour Teacher Training, and a Hypnotherapist through the National Guild of Hypnotists. As a hypnotherapist, Ryan helps clients affect lasting change by working with the all-powerful subconscious mind (which runs 95% of our lives). By uncovering blocks, limiting beliefs and re-aligning the mind, body, and spirit, Ryan helps clients find their center. From that place of true power, her clients create the life they want to be living with abundance, love, and purpose.

Ryan has shared her expertise and life-changing approach to spiritual mentoring, life coaching, and hypnotherapy to satisfied clients internationally. In addition to working with her clients, Ryan enjoys making jewelry like malas and necklaces. She lives on a restored historic farmhouse in Pennsylvania—originally built in 1711—with her husband and four children, where they’re working on a fully self-sufficient garden. Ryan currently hosts free, live hypnosis sessions every Sunday from 12:00—12:30 PM EST via Zoom. More info on these sessions is available at RyanHaddon.com.

In this episode, Ryan speaks to:

  • Identifying “Rock Bottom”

  • How a window of grace or fork in the road can look different for each individual

  • How action is the catalyst for feeling better and believing in a better life

Southern hospitality. Tradition with a twist. And a bit of sarcasm. That’s what you’ll find here with Mary Hollis Huddleston, on Mrs. Southern Social. She is a Nashville native who loves entertaining at home, but believes in the power of “delegation.” She started in the event-planning business in Dallas right after graduating college. One marriage, one baby, and eight years later, she “retired” from wedding planning, and moved back to Nashville to settle-down for good. Along with her husband, Mary started Please Be Seated, the largest luxury event rental company in Nashville.

“So if you have a day job, why Mrs. Southern Social?” To that Mary says, “Well, I’m a working Southern woman who loves welcoming people into my home and throwing dinner parties, but I don’t have the time nor energy to spend hours on Pinterest, cooking or decorating myself. Thankfully, times have changed, and we no longer have to rely on just ourselves to make things happen. In fact, it’s so much easier if we don’t. From iced cookies, invitations, catering to flowers, I’ll share ideas, inspiration and contacts that will hopefully make your life a bit easier one cocktail party at a time.”

“Southern charm without lifting an arm,” is her motto. Now friends, let’s celebrate…

In this episode, Mary speaks to:

  • How learning tools to handle small crises can prepare you for an unexpected big crisis

  • The silver linings for your business that can come out of trying times

  • How self-care doesn’t need to be complicated to be effective

Inspired by a mentor to reach for more after starting MillennialMoneyMan.com and paying off his loans, Bobby Hoyt began a pursuit of all things personal finance. “My basic philosophy at M$M is simple: I’m going to teach you how to make more money, save more, and pay off debt… and make sure you have fun while you do it.” Through his work on Millennial Money Man, he hopes to help change the face of personal finance in Gen Y by challenging his readers to slay their debt, increase their income, and plan for their future. Since quitting his band director job after earning $3 in ad revenues (a tactic he doesn’t recommend to students of his blogging courses) he has grown his blog to reach over 2 million readers each year. He’s a regular personal finance columnist for the American Psychological Association, and has made appearances on major media outlets such as Forbes, CNBC, and MarketWatch. A firm believer in the importance of the side hustle (and an educator who values sharing his knowledge), he partnered with Mike Yanda to teach through multiple courses at Laptop Empires. Bobby lives in the Houston, Texas area with his wife Coral, their wonderfully strange dog Strider, and can usually be found on the golf course, or boating on some body of water when they aren’t traveling.

In this episode, Bobby speaks to:

  • What led to a major leap of faith and career change

  • How to build the your business so you can live a life you love

  • The importance of building a team to help you manage your business (or businesses)
