    • Working with his own emotions was a big step
  • 10:07 – Vince talks about the 4-week course he took on hypnosis
  • 12:42 – For Vince, hypnosis is a set of tools and techniques that helps someone to create the right framework to explore the realms of reality
    • “Everything is based on our subjectivity”
    • It’s hard to know hypnosis without exploring it
  • 16:16 – Hypnosis is a common thing; Kids, most of the time, are in a sort of state of hypnosis
    • Hypnosis is either winning or losing

  • 46:24 – “Nothing is a problem unless it is being lived as a problem for a person”
    • A problem can be a driving force for a person
  • 48:24 – Hypnosis is not changing anything, it’s just creating the condition in which a person can change himself
    • There’s a difference between hypnosis and therapy
  • 52:53 – Vince shares his martial arts journey
    • 3 things that martial arts taught Vince:
      • Nothing comes off easy
      • The value of practicing hard
      • Learning dedication for the arts
    • Every martial art is a culture
  • 58:00 – Systema opened the way for hypnosis in Vince’s life
    • Systema is an internal art
    • The movement you have to do in Systema is yours, it’s not taught
  • 01:06:15 – Once you start to open up and feel life again, life starts to open up too
    • Vince just got back from Russia, learning with his friend
    • He realized that Systema, like hypnosis, is something that you really have to “feel”
    • “There’s so much more than just fighting”
  • 01:13:41 – An interesting point to raise: there is a connection and difference between trauma stored in the body and in the mind
    • To keep everything general, things do not go away per se

This episode we're talking with Michael Allwight, a founder of Cafe Art in Sydney, Australia and Minerva Community Service. Michael had always wanted to begin something he could devote himself to and had various different ambitions over the years before deciding what he wanted to do. This indecision was solved when he saw photos of a Cafe Art exhibition in London which inspired him to do the same in Sydney.

Cafe Art is a cafe chain which has a concept of showcasing visual artworks created by people who were socially endangered or even homeless. He thought it was a great and interesting way of engaging people in photography. What began as a Kickstarter campaign is now a Cafe with yearly exhibitions which gather more than hundred photos from people with unique, unsettling and meaningful histories.

Inspired by Cafe Art and how it worked out, Michael began developing a new project, a Community Service named Minerva, based on data science. He talks about how data science works and how they are using it with altruistic intentions, in order to solve problems such as domestic violence to a certain extent. He also talks about some useful innovations such as the smart watch which tracks your blood pressure and movements in order to predict when a crime is going to happen. Listen to this episode and you will hear various interesting things about these topics, as well as how to apply to the Cafe Art contest!

This episode I'm speaking with a Dutch nutritionist, biohacker and Wim Hof enthusiast Kiki Bosch, about a variety of different topics, such as stepping out of the comfort zone, being in control of one's own body and her captivating experiences and fascination with water.

Kiki has become a viral phenomenon after Ocean Imaging uploaded a video of her swimming in a glacial lake in Iceland. She tells about her preparation for that undertaking as well as her early life, her competetive side, travelling in Latin America while coping with a tough breakup and deciding to live in Columbia for half a year.

Since she studied psychology in college, Kiki has a very precise way with words, explaining how to deal with difficulties that one comes across when devoting to a bit more the cold and extreme water activities. She also makes parallels between those experiences and different mental conditions and obstacles in ordinary circumstances and day-to-day life and how it helped her become more humble, stable and satisfied with her life. Make sure you listen to her interesting and helpful story!

In this episode, we're talking about a variety of different topics, all of which have the human being and its complex psychological nature in common. My guest is David Martelozzo, a psychologist with diverse knowledge and a keen interest in science and physics as well.

Martelozzo loves psychology and says he has always been fascinated by the human mind, its different states and how those states affect the way we act. Besides this fascination, a pure altruistic intention is also a key driving force for his work.

He tackles topics such as the concept of habits, their forming, changing, but also their meaning and purposes which he questions and devotes serious attention to. We also talk about anxiety, how to come to terms with it and tame it in different social scenarios, as well as the humorous aspect of such problems. He makes imaginative comparisons and conclusions which can be very useful for anyone who decides to listen to this episode.
