This podcast gives me the ability to encourage and uplift the journey of the Christian woman, overwhelmed mom, homeschooling mom, and mompreneur. I don’t plan to accomplish this on my own. I have the privilege of sharing some pretty powerful testimonies of women in my life and some of my own teaching moments. I plan to share poems, original song clips, as well as words that weigh on my heart from the Bible. Tune in; lean in. Sense God speaking to you too because He loves you!!!
Don’t you love when God is just flat honest with you? In the segment, you’ll see how God shared with me an insight on how my marriage would be… Hint: it wasn’t going to start out rosy. ☺️
Here, I explore the ins and outs of single as a young single, newly divorcée, or widow. Join me in life on purpose.
When folks see you go through big things, they expect big insights from you. But, actually, I’ve got something much simpler to talk about.
Having lost both parents, death is not a distant possibility, it is an awareness. Yet, I’m not afraid because I know the One who’s conquered death - Jesus!
We all need work/life balance. Here are some real-life on how to balance it all, based on my own journey as a multi-creative entrepreneur and homeschooling mom of four. Enjoy! Also, I recommend the song “No Promises” (featuring Demi Lovato) by Cheat Codes. Feel free to reach out to me at @melissa.alagon on Instagram!

In this episode, I have my dear friend Mary Galloway walk us through her struggles in fear, rejection, faith, hope, and acceptance regarding her life with a rare autoimmune disorder. (Listen to the song “Fear” by Kenneth Lamar to go along with this episode.)
If you don’t have the fairytale romance, but you are still holding on, enduring, and loving your spouse through, this episode might be just what the doctor ordered. “Grain for bread is crushed; indeed, he does not continue to thresh it forever. Because the wheel of his cart and his horses eventually damage it, He does not thresh it longer.” Isaiah 28:28
Go from fearing in this current crisis to trust and start loving others and sharing Christ’s peace instead.

Ever heard of the recent addition to the phrase, “Silence is golden; duct tape is silver.” The best meaning I gather from this is that there truly are times to speak and times to be silent. But it’s quite a different story for someone to be forced to shut up (as in the metaphorical case with duct tape) Recognize discretion of holding your tongue in wisdom versus the enemy drawing satisfaction from your muted state.

Like a dog stuck in the cone of shame, sometimes we need help taking it off, confessing, and keeping it off. Let God be the lift you out of that guilt-laden cloud.

Enjoy Immanuelmusic.org I especially love the song that went with this episode’s theme verse Psalm 3, entitled “Lifter of My Head”
Ultimately, the thing that is stealing our rest might be us. We are choosing to burn the candle at both ends, but why? What’s at the heart of these choices? This episode gently explores this and shares how we can redirect our hearts to be more fruitful in our lives.

This episode prompts us all to be inviting people who ask others in and not stay so closed off from the world. How do we accomplish that in days we don’t really feel like it.
