Aisle Seat offers brides and grooms-to-be, hopeless romantics and wedding-lovers everywhere the chance to connect and be inspired by real-life accounts of weddings as well as all the joy, romance, beauty and drama that comes along with them. Every week, host Alison McGill shares with listeners spirited conversations with renowned wedding industry experts from around the globe - fashion designers, floral and cake artists, event planners, photographers - as well as real-life just-marrieds.
On this week's show Alison chats with event planner Jodie Garneau, principal at Thistle & Thorne, who shares one of the biggest trends happening in weddings this year (and into 2027) are celebrations that are unplugged, immersive, full of analogue details and a peaceful, joy-filled energy. "Sensory friendly weddings are something we are very focused on," Jodie shares.
