In this episode of study the greats, we will be diving into the life of one of the greatest thinkers of our time “Elon Musk”. He has inspired millions of young budding entrepreneurs and still continues to inspire. Elon Musk is a visionary, and truly believes in every business venture he puts his mind into. Sir C.V. Raman, the first Indian to win the Nobel Prize for Physics, was a scientist par excellence. Even as a child he was a brilliant mind, as he topped throughout his academic days. He was deeply interested in research; in fact he began his research work on optics and acoustics even while he was a student. He was intrigued by the blue color of glaciers and the Mediterranean sea and wanted to unravel the mystery of why water, a colorless liquid, appeared blue to the eyes. Thus began a series of experiments on the scattering of light which ultimately led to what came to be known as the ‘Raman Effect’ for which he won the Nobel Prize in Physics. We do not get to see people like Sir. Raman very often, so lets dive deep into his life and learn form his greatness.

We often think there is a certain path to success, like “if I get this degree, then ill finally have that dream job, from there I’ll find success”. But in reality, there exists no such thing as a path to success, if there is anything close to that, then it is hard work and doing what you love. Unlike few, majority of the successful people don’t fixate on a certain thing to find success. They are not afraid to fail as they embark on new adventures. All we see is their current success and not their countless failures before that. We all have the same 24 hours, but those 24 hours aren’t the same for everybody. COVID-19 is a highly contagious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes and how it spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands with soap and not touching your face. There are no specific vaccines or treatments for COVID-19. So quarantine yourself, and let us all flatten the curve together and pull through this pandemic. Also, utilize the time in isolation efficiently :)
We all almost puke on hearing the word POLITICS. The instant thoughts that comes up are corruption, greed, biased, dirty cheap tricks etc. But that should not be the reason why we should not involve ourselves in politics, especially when it decides how we all lead our lives and what we do. We are the ones with the power, which is to vote! So, it is us, who should be more involved consciously, exercising our rights to bring about any change we wish to see. Or else, we are at the mercy of someone else's dissensions.
Somewhere in between working, providing for your family or just surviving, it is easy for anyone to lose their identity and sense of direction. Once we step into the working phase of our lives, we easily get caught up in it, like a fish in a net. But taking time off, travelling could be a one stop solution to all off your problems. I truly believe we can rediscover ourselves, get motivated, appreciate life more when we travel.

Sleep is a boon given to us, it has only good things to offer if one exercises it properly, and horrible things when one does not. By surfing various articles, I found some interesting facts and major risks caused by sleep deprivation. I believe that sleep is one of the keys for longevity and good health, But in spite of this, we choose to push sleep to the bottom of our to do lists, which really should be the other way around. I hope you will take sleep more seriously after listening.
