Hosted by the mysteriously charming Nick Flanagan, NFW is a peek into the the diverse community of people Nick orbits. It's also about his experiences singing in bands, doing comedy and living life while dealing with mental health, depression and ADHD after a draining stints as a touring performer and(harshest of all) a brief denizen of Los Angeles. Nick has met all kinds of people and seen things that cannot be unseen - mostly on Youtube. Bad news: he wants to tell you about them. Conversational solo episodes and interviews with social workers, subcultural experts, musicians and comedians means NFW covers a range of topics with charm, aplomb and a hint of desperation. Nick talks to director Pavan Moondi - he's appeared in pretty much all of Pavan's projects and they have both spent time in so-called Hollywood, a place some people call HELLYWOOD. Pavan has directed Every Day Is Like Sunday, Diamond Tongues starring Leah from July Talk, and Sundowners with Phil Hanley, Luke Lalonde, Cara Gee and Jackie Pirico. Things that come up: -nuances between ADHD and ADD
-the stress of paying taxes
-Nick and Tim Heidecker improvising in a film
-the transient nature of L.A. comedy clubs
-the complex art of getting shit done
-Nick’s nightly peeing schedule
-best of the George Lucas era of Star Wars films
follow Pavan's journey to the Hollywood A-List at www.twitter.com/pavanmoondi. Diamond Tongues is available on Amazon Prime and the Sundowners can be seen on Amazon Prime as well as the CBC Gem app in Canada.

This is a wacky one. Nick recorded it at Marty Topps' incredible home studio and Marty provides backing on the keyboard, gets lightly interviewed and Nick "covers" a few "standards", including Hate Me Now by Nas. Marty is a musical comedy cult legend, having recorded albums dedicated to the Tap Out brand and about his uncle's seafood restaurant. He's a member of Toronto comedy collective Laugh Sabbath and has incredible and hilarious albums available at www.martytopps.bandcamp.com. Nick is back in Montreal, and it’s another nice time although he’s mostly stayed in. Luckily, his friend and bandmate in Wrong Hole Andrew Moszynski (drummer in Deadly Snakes and guitarist in Tee Pee recording artists Comet Congtrol & Quest For Fire) came by and backed up a stream-of-consciousness and highly silly podcast that mentions Avengers: Endgame, Game Of Thrones, houses with no TVs, Patreon perks, various weird email addresses and much more in a very short amount of time. APOLOGIES for the sewn-together editing of this podcast. Serious recording issues have delayed further episodes but they're being worked on. Today's show is a rundown of the many things Nick is grateful for, including having tables to hide under. One year since moving back home after a trying stint in the entertainment capital of the solar system, this episode tries to assess some of the positive change that's ocurred in that time. Send comments or questions to weaklypodcast@gmail.com
Today's episode was recorded live on Youtube and somewhat recaps Nick's trip to the Earl Sweatshirt concert the other day. Did his positive review go well? That's for you to decide. Anyway, turns out social media drama and someone with low self-esteem don't go well together. There's an air of crazed melancholy to this whole episode that likely matches the tenor of our times. Or maybe it's just Aries season. Support the podcast: www.patreon.com/nickflanagan www.paypal.me/nickflanaganweakly Youtube stream: www.youtube.com/hilarification
This one's a crossover episode! Danko Jones, Nick and Damian have podcasted together often and yet they still have so much to talk about. This time topics include MMA, not being murderers. Nick discusses a sick white nationalist running for mayor of Toronto for publicity. And ADHD. If you want to easily send a letter questioning Faith Goldy buying air time on Bell Media, here's an easy letter to copy, paste and send to AdvertiseWithUs@bellmedia.ca)
Dear Bell Media
it's come to my attention that Faith Goldy, a right wing neo-Nazi Toronto mayoral candidate, has purchased a large amount of ads from Bell Media via CP24.
Faith Goldy has endorsed by the alt-right neo-Nazis, many are volunteering for her, and she's trying to drag hate into the mainstream. Goldy has said the infamous Fourteen Words on air, a neo-Nazi slogan coined by the neo-Nazi group The Order, which murdered a Jewish radio host.
She appeared on a neo-Nazi podcast associated with the Daily Stormer after Charlottesville.
She said that the alt-right Charlottesville manifesto, including its position on the JQ (Jewish Question; that Jews don’t count as white people to the alt-right neo-Nazi movement), was well thought out.
She's called for Canada to return to being a "96% white, European country".
She's already been banned from the fundraising site Patreon and a number of other platforms for spreading hate.
This is not someone that I think Bell Media should be endorsing through allowing her to run advertising. I appreciate your consideration.
