21daysofVGM since i'm sad today and bad at recognizing speech patterns, i skipped the daily challenge - but i still wanted to make something, so i channeled my VHS nostalgia into this credits song for a surrealist "70s buddy cop" game
Day 9 of the #21daysofVGM challenge - today's challenge was to listen to music from a country you'd never heard before, and use that as inspiration for a composition. i chose the seychelles, and found a genre, coincidentally, named sega, so i knew i had to pick it
thought it kinda sounded like banjo-kazooie so i guess i gave them cool shades
the song is a loop, but i included a "stage complete" resolution at the end
today's challenge:
"Day 8. Start with a stock drum loop and compose over and around it. You can always go back and change it/make your own loop later."
created a quick high hat loop by adding a high pass filter to two different stock loops and began composing around that. the rest of the drums (kicks and snares) were added later.
