Freedom Riders were groups of white and African American civil rights activists who participated in Freedom Rides, bus trips through the American South in 1961 to protest segregated bus terminals. In conclusion freedom riders wanted to fight back against the segregation that was happening in the United states. The overall outcome of this topic was the deescalation of segregation in interstate transportation such as, highways, bus stops, & train terminals was a success as they kept fighting for desegregation.
