Bob DeFlores grew up surrounded by the entertainment community. He was born in San Francisco and raised in Hollywood, where his parents performed in movies, radio, and nightclubs. In February 1979 he joined the KARE 11 News Team in Minnesota as a general assignment reporter. He has received awards from AP, Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Academy of Television of Arts and Sciences. and International New York Film Festival. Ron Rosenbaum was a prominent radio personality known for hosting shows such as "holding court" on KFXN-FM 100.3 Ron was also a regular guest on the The Dan Barreiro Show where he talked about pressing current issues. Kate Roberts is senior exhibit developer at the Minnesota Historical Society, where she has worked in various capacities since 1989. She has served as lead developer on projects including Minnesota 150, a crowd-sourced exhibit marking the state’s sesquicentennial (Minnesota History Center, 2008); and Toys of the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s, which opened at the Minnesota History Center in 2014 and is now touring nationally. Minnesota writer, musician, and former radio talk show host on WCCO NewsRadio 830 based in Minneapolis. He was formerly employed at City Pages, a Twin Cities alternative news, arts and entertainment publication. For 17 years he hosted The Mischke Broadcast on am1500 KSTP. His show featured quirky regular callers, a stream of consciousness humor, and experts on any topic he found interesting. Since 1998, Mischke has been the winner of the "Best AM Radio Personality" award given by the local weekly alternative newspaper City Pages nine times.

Jim du Bois’ career in radio and TV spans nearly four decades. As a reporter, he’s covered everything from national political conventions to the conflict in Iraq. du Bois is the president/CEO of the Minnesota Broadcasters Association where he’s focused on transitioning traditional broadcasting to digital platforms. He was recognized by the National Association of Broadcasters in 2009 for helping to create a nationwide education program on the digital television transition. A proud Golden Gopher, du Bois is the past chair of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association.

Rick Shefchik is an American novelist, nonfiction writer, and journalist. He is the author of the novels Amen Corner, published in 2007, Green Monster, published August 1, 2008, Frozen Tundra, published in 2010 by North Star Press and Rather See You Dead, e-published in 2011. In 2012, he released his first nonfiction, From Fields to Fairways: Classic Golf Clubs of Minnesota. In 2015, he released Everybody's Heard About the Bird: The True Story of 1960s Rock 'n' Roll in Minnesota. (University of Minnesota Press). Mike Fairbourne was a part of an important change in the televised weather reporting world back in the late 70's when he first started. He was the first certified meteorologist at WCCO and established a certain standard that is still followed today. While Mike is no longer reporting the weather, his influence can still be seen to this day. Today we're going to talk with Mike about his career and what he best remembers from his days reporting the weather.
