She is currently a Ph.D. student at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. In this interview, we discussed applying for the National Interest Waiver (NIW) Greencard for Advanced Degrees, who is eligible to apply, the necessary documents needed to apply, the cost and average wait period, and tips on how to prepare your letters and resume.
National Interest Waiver (NIW) is for non-immigrant individuals (living in or outside the United States of America) with an advanced degree and individuals of exceptional ability. Things we should know before applying:
- You can do it!
- Determine what you want to do if you get your approval; this will help you to write your justification letter.
- Have a list of five to ten people who can write recommendations for you. High-profile individuals like Professors, Clergy, and top professional who you have learned or worked with and who will be willing to write a recommendation on letterhead and add their resume.

In this interview, we discussed the importance of eye drops, tips for those who wear glasses or contact lenses, those who are visually impaired, and so on. one interesting fact about our eyes is that they remain the same size throughout life.
Shanice also shared that the optical eye pressure is between 10 and 20. Shanice shared that the three most common eye problems are conjunctivitis (AKA pink eye), Glaucoma, and cataract. She also shared how you can cope with and prevent these issues, so be sure to listen to the end.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).

She is full of life and passionate about her story and life! She is a medical doctor by training. She is currently completing an integrated Master’s by Research in Cardiovascular Biology and a Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Science at the University of Edinburgh.
She has endured several surgical procedures and endured many hospitals stays. She has also been misdiagnosed for 15 years with Neuromyelitis Optica- which is a rare, severe central nervous system autoimmune illness that affects the optic nerve and spinal cord. She has also been blind twice, on life support, and paralyzed seven times. Trecia adds that throughout all of this, as Maya Angelou says, “But still I rise!”. Please, take a listen!

Nahjair shares that he wouldn't wish this experience for anyone at all. He also shares his experience about the encounter he had with God while in a coma. The doctors called him "Miracle Man" because they could not believe he recovered! He is now pro-vaccine and warning you to take covid seriously by practicing social distancing and sanitizing. You will hear how to register for this program, how and where to select a job, what to expect when you get there, and some of the highs and lows. The USA Summer Work and Travel program is a student-only cultural exchange program. The American government has approved and supported the program, which allows students to work in the United States for four months over the summer break and then travel for the fifth month if they wish. The aim of the program is to gain great experience, improve english language, meet the culture, customs and lifestyle, as well as to make new friends. Take a listen.

She is from Montego Bay, Jamaica-her life changed two years ago today when she met in a major car accident. After the accident, Deana-Rae woke up in the hospital with three different accents. Foreign accent syndrome is a medical condition in which patients develop speech patterns regarded as a foreign accent but were not acquired in the perceived accent's place of origin.
Her enthusiasm/spirit/energy is impressive, even though She still has some surgery and is still recovering. She also shared the good and bad about the foreign accent syndrome and her coping mechanisms.
