I've recorded a reading of the first 3 chapters of th book of John. The beginning sounds confusing if you don't know that Jesus is He who is being spoken of in chapter 1. He was there in the beginning when the world was made. He also went to Nazareth and was not accepted by them (where He grew up) so He healed some and then left.

Ephesians tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the evil of the unseen world. Jesus cast out demons and freed people!! we're given the armor of God, so that we can prepare for when the enemy comes against us.

God didn't intend for us to choose a life separate from Him. We were given a basic guide, the Bible, to view and learn from. I grew up not learning a lot of things I know now and it opened a lot of doors for the evil one to kick my butt.
