7 Steps to Spring Clean Your Beauty Routine Who doesn’t love a good clear out? Getting rid of things we no longer need, feeling brighter and lighter and just a bit more organised, saving time and money in the process - what’s not to like! What can seem like a chore can actually be a lot of fun, and I promise the end result will be worth it.
I’ve just done done a big old clearout myself and thought I’d share with you the steps that made it easier and quicker overall to organise and declutter my own beauty and makeup collection. All it takes a is a little bit of planning. And you can use these easy steps to plan any kind of spring clean or clearout, anywhere in the home.
A few key things to remember:
It always gets worse before it gets better. Be prepared to be ruthless. A good principle is to take out anything you haven’t used in the last 3 - 6 months, chances are that isn’t going to change in the next six. Out of sight, out of mind. Anything you can’t see has the potential to still be there again in 6 months time
Thank you for listening, I hope you feel inspired to do some decluttering and spring cleaning of your own.

Guest interview with Billie Quinlan, CEO and Co-Founder of sexual well-being startup, The Ferly App - an audio guide to mindful sex. Also recently named Apple’s App of the week in the App store.
Billie and her co-founder Anna Huslak want to radically transform the relationship you have with sex. They are on a mission to close the Pleasure Gap by improving health, confidence, and pleasure of women globally. In the process they have have been able to build an incredible community, over 30,000 women strong (and growing), called the Pleasure Pioneers.
The Ferly App represents a safe space for women to explore their ever-evolving sexuality and in doing so improve their overall physical and mental well-being.
In this episode Billie shares with us exactly what the Pleasure Gap really is and how they are working to close it; powerful messages around sexual self-care and how you can broaden and explore your ideas on your own sexuality and your relationship with sex.
We also discuss the narratives in our own lives that are consciously and subconsciously driving our own sexuality, desires and experiences.
Both Anna and Billie have experienced sexual assault and their own personal stories are very much a driving force behind breaking the taboos in talking about sex, reclaiming pleasure and having a confident, healthy and happy sex life - whatever your relationship status or sexual orientation.

Hi there, and welcome to today’s episode of the Glow Show - we are going to talk about 7 ways to deal with, and hopefully minimise stay-home stress, take care of ourselves and look after own mental health while we support our families and the people around us, even if it’s from a distance.
When I thought about this topic originally it was actually going to be about the effects of stress on our skin specifically - and then ways to minimise stress and in the process also help our skin.
What I didn’t know at the time of planning this topic, of course, was that we would soon find ourselves in the midst of a global pandemic with the whole world fight against this invisible enemy, the corona virus.
As I’m recording this we’re entering the 3rd week of lockdown here in the UK, and I’ve had plenty of time to reflect, and actually observe myself to see what really works and what doesn’t when it comes to dealing with my own mental & physical health - especially in a time of crisis.
In this episode, we discuss…
[3:23] Life During COVID-19 [12:46] Proactively and Intentionally Take Care of Yourself [16:43] The Importance of Exercise [20:55] Meditation [22:47] Breathe [24:08] Boundaries for your mind, heart and head space [28:28] Feeling the Way You Feel [36:07] Reach Out [38:39] Closing Thoughts

In the episode I share my thoughts on a powerful tool that has made a real difference to my own relationships and marriage. It’s practical, it's simple - and you can easily start to implement it today.
The 5 Love Languages is a well known relationship tool that has helped singles and couples all over the world transform their relationships. It’s really applicable to any one of us, so it doesn’t matter whether you’re single, dating, in a relationship or marriage. This can work for you too.
Every single one of us, whether we’re single, dating or in a relationship or marriage - have a deep rooted emotional need to FEEL loved, to be heard and seen and understood - and that we belong - and we need to feel and experience these things in a way makes sense to us.
And then there is also the other side to this - while we all experience love in a certain way, we also have our own way of expressing it. How we show the people in our lives that we love them, that we hear and see them, understand them and that they belong.
In a nutshell we all have different ways of experiencing and expressing love.
BUT - if there is a mismatch between how we experience love and the way that our partner expresses their love for us this can create a real disconnect in our relationship, sometimes with devastating consequences.
This is exactly where the 5 Love Languages Tool comes in. And I share with you 5 specific ways that knowing your own, and your partner's Love Languages can benefit and transform your relationships, as well as practical examples of how you can implement them for yourself.

Hi there and Welcome!
Welcome to the new Glow Show - Your Go To For Grown Up Love and Glowing Skin - dedicated to help you transform your relationships and bringing you the most current and trusted beauty advice for glowing skin, inside and out.
If you're a return listener you'll notice that things are looking a bit different - and I'm very excited to be sharing this new development with you. This episode is all about how and why I've decided to re-launch the previous podcast and what you can expect going forward.
In the previous version of the show (The Ready for Love Podcast), we talked about love, dating, sex and relationships - and this is still one of my biggest passions and absolute favourite things to talk about.
Alongside this I’ve also always had a bit of a private obsession with skincare (I’ll never forget my 13th birthday when my grandmother bought me my first set of skincare products to cleanse, tone and moisturise) - that sparked a lifelong love for trying new products and all things skin and beauty related.
In 2018 I launched my own skincare brand called 'Ané Skincare and Beauty' and I felt it made sense to bring these two loves of mine together - and talk about it in one place.
In a nutshell we’re STILL going to talk about how you can have the best relationships, and the best sex of your life, how you can heal the relationship with yourself if that is something you feel you struggle with sometimes - and we’re ALSO going to talk about skincare, beauty, products recommendations, routines, self care, wellness from the inside out. PLUS updates and developments in the skincare industry.
As always it will be a mix between episodes by me - and then also interviews with my amazing line up of handpicked guests across the relationship, skincare, beauty and wellness industries.
Stay tuned and come and join me!
Thank you for listening.

My special guest, Charly Lester is co-founder of the Lumen App and in this interview she tells us what Lumen is all about, what to expect from the app, how to use it and all the exciting future plans to help over 50s find love.
If you’d just come out of a long-term relationship and hadn’t been intimate since the dinosaurs walked the earth, how well would you cope with dating and having sex again?
My special guest, Olivia Spring, who spent two years writing the novel during evenings and weekends whilst juggling her full-time job in PR, explains the inspiration behind the story:
‘I was inspired to write this novel after becoming newly single in my late thirties. It wasn’t just getting to grips with the whole dating scene, which had changed dramatically, that I found challenging, but also seeing how women of “a certain age” are often judged by society.
‘The Middle-Aged Virgin' is for any woman who has become newly single after a long relationship or divorce, women who have experienced the highs and lows of dating and dating apps, who haven’t had sex for a while, who’ve ever been asked:
For anyone who would like to lose themselves in a fun, light-hearted rom-com featuring a smart protagonist and escape from real life for a few hours. I thoroughly enjoyed creating this story and hope everyone enjoys reading about Sophia’s journey as much as I loved writing it.’
On today’s episode, Olivia shares her own experiences and 3 important tips on how we can find new strength after a long term relationship breaking down, how to get 'out there' dating again, rediscover who we really and create a new path for the next chapter in our lives, single or not.
Olivia's book is such a fun read, and super relatable! Go check it out x

Have you ever felt stuck in a cycle of toxic, destructive relationships that don’t work out, but just can’t figure out why it keeps happening? Are you terrified of being alone and find yourself compromising your boundaries and standards just to keep your partner happy? Maybe you’re terrified of rejection and accept the unacceptable in your relationship, always minimising your own needs and desires?
Why do we do this? Why do we settle for relationships that are so destructive, even when we know it’s going to hurt us and cause us pain? And why is it that we then keep repeating these relationship dynamics, just with different people?
Could it be that ‘relationship addiction’ is playing a role in your life?
If any of this resonates with you then do tune into this episode with my special guest, Sherry Gaba. Sherry is a licensed psychotherapist and life coach who helps people cope with, and overcome lifelong addictions including substance abuse, shopping, gambling, food, sex and love, co-dependency, trauma, depression, anxiety, single parenting, and divorce.
Sherry’s most recent book (which I highly recommend), The Marriage and Relationship Junkie: Kicking Your Obsession, is a best seller in both substance abuse and codependency. It focuses on how to break the cycle of marriage and relationship addiction and live and thrive on your own, or with a partner. It also explores on how to go through the grieving process for a relationship without falling apart, how to define healthy boundaries, how to recognise the right partner for you and steer clear of potentially toxic relationships.
Sherry shares her own deeply personal experiences of relationship addiction and how she’s overcome this very painful journey. She also shares with us the root causes of potential relationship addiction, how to identify whether this relates to you - and steps you can take to overcome this in your own life.
Love, Ané https://aneauret.com
One of the key components in any relationship is actually about us being able to trust in our own intuition, our gut instinct, and to really trust and be able to listen to ourselves.
My special guest is Jenna Birch, Co-founder and CEO of Plum, a new dating app that mixes accountability and smart matching for a better online dating experience. She is also the author of The Love Gap: A Radical Plan to Win in Life and Love, a guide for modern women navigating the new romantic landscape.
A longtime journalist and columnist, her work appears frequently in print and online publications including Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Self, Teen Vogue, Marie Claire, Health, and Yahoo, among many others.
Are you looking to find a partner who listens to you, invests as much time and effort in the relationship as you, and most importantly, emotionally available to you?
On today’s episode we have dating and empowerment coach, Orchid Tao. Orchid specializes in helping single women to date discerningly and demonstrate their worth, empowering them to attract the right, emotionally available man for them, who makes them feel safe, cherished and loved – without question.
Listen in as we discover ways on how to attract emotionally available men, red flags to watch out for, and how self-worth plays a big role in the dynamics of your past and current relationships.
My special guest interview with Faye Hurley, Self Worth Coach for Business Women with Big Dreams. Faye shares with her personal story of overcoming a dysfunctional child hood and how her childhood experiences led her into toxic adult relationships that included physical abuse, divorce and being abandoned during pregnancy. She also shares with us some of her turning points and rock-bottom moments that became the foundation on which she rebuilt her own life in every way and restored her own self worth. So many have suffered (or still suffer) in silence behind closed doors - outwardly living confident, successful lives, and appearing to have everything 'together'. We'd never identify as with being a 'victim' and yet we're caught in toxic, destructive and often abusive relationships, patterns and habits that erode our self worth to the point that we don't have the strength to leave - until one day the pain simply becomes too great, and we realise there is something more out there. That turning is different for everyone, but it's only then that we can find the courage to start untangling ourselves and creating a new future, however painful this may be. Join us to hear 3 of the key steps that Faye took to finally heal from her traumatic past experiences, how she found healthy long term love and also built the business of her dreams.
What I want to talk to you today is a follow up on last week’s episode with Susan Quilliam where we talked about the three ways to choose the right partner. Susan had lots of practical examples and activities and questions you can ask yourself when figuring out if someone is right for you or not.
I want to take that a little step further by sharing with you my talk at a speaking event last week. If you’ve had a number of “failed” relationships, or if you’ve just come out of a big breakup, stick around to learn • The 7 steps you can take to help you get closer to figuring out why things haven’t worked out for you up to now • Why you’ve been choosing the relationships you have, and • What you can do differently next time.
A lot of this means taking the time and energy to invest in yourself and your dating journey. We all have different ways of processing this, but when I do something like this, it’s all about reflecting and meditating on it, and writing about it in my journal.
I hope you can find some time to invest in yourself, and some inspiration and practical tips and things you can do that you can apply to your own journey. In the show notes I only shared the first three steps, so tune in to learn the last four. I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. <3
I hope you enjoy this episode with us!
And don't forget to let me know - what are your main takeaways from this discussion? Anything you'd like to add or share?

Are you in the process of starting over after a breakup or divorce and thinking about what it is you're really looking for? Or are you actively looking for a new relationship?
I am so passionate about the topic for today's interview - I can’t think of a more important decision that we make in our lives other than to figure out who to spend our lives with, and if we want a family, who we want to have children with. It's also a crucial decision if you already have children and you're looking for someone that will be joining your exciting family - and of course you'll be joining theirs.
Our special guest for today is relationship coach and author of How to Choose a Partner, Susan Quilliam. Aside from authoring 22 books and serving as the Ambassador for Relate Cambridge, she also serves on the Sexuality Council of the Royal Society of Medicine, and is Patron of the Outsiders Charity advocating the relationship rights of less-abled people.
Susan is passionate about helping people find, keep and enhance their intimate partnerships.
In this episode, she shares with us three practical ways and questions you can ask yourself to help you in choosing the right partner for you. We also delve deep into how childhood, family and past relationships affect our current relationships, attachment styles, Lovemaps, physiological and intuitive attraction, and a lot more.
I hope you enjoy this episode with us!

Are you finding yourself at a stage in your life where you may want to have a family of your own - but you haven’t yet met the right person for you, for whatever reason? Or do you really want to be in a committed relationship, but you’re feeling ambivalent about having children of your own, yet at the same time you feel as if you’re running out of time? Maybe you’ve invested years of your life in a long term relationship or marriage that didn’t work out - and in addition to that you’ve also progressing your career or building your business, but you’re feeling the pressure biologically because you know you have a certain window in which you’d ideally like to have children or be able to?
Katherine Baldwin shares with us her deep transformational journey on how she navigated her own journey of being a high-achieving woman who found love aged 43, without having the children she thought she would have and how she processed her own ambivalence around having a family - to now being in a committed relationship with an emotionally healthy man and finally living her true purpose.
Katherine’s story is full of poignant moments, life changing realisations and transitions that will inspire you to reflect on your own journey and experiences, and the choices and decision we all make at various stages in our lives about how we see ourselves, our place in the world, who we love and the future we imagine for ourselves.
She shares with us how it took many years of to work through several layers and episodes of self harm and self sabotage to get to where she is today - there really are no short cuts or quick fixes for the deep inner work so many of us need to do in our own way, and to courageously get out of our own way so that we live the life we’re truly meant to live, with the person we’re truly meant to love. Including ourselves.
Just some of what we discuss include Katherine coming face to face with her own fears about love intimacy and commitment, exploring her own ambivalence about having children, her journey in healing her own inner child and forgiving herself for the many choices made when she only did the best she could with the tools she had at the time - something we can all relate to.

“Love cannot be manufactured. It’s a gift that comes along when the time is right.” Jo Emerson
This episode is for you if you're in the midst of going through those dark days after breakup or divorce - when you feel that the best of your love life may be behind you, that you may never love or find love again; if you're feeling stuck in a situation or relationship that you know in their soul is not serving you but just cannot find the courage to actually take the next step; or if you've been through some of the tough parts and are looking to get out there again, but you're feeling a bit overwhelmed or apprehensive about it all.
This is a follow-up episode on the first podcast I did with Jo nearly two years ago (podcast nr. 3) When we spoke previously Jo shared with us her top tips and advice how to date confidently after a breakup or divorce - and she shared with us how she found her way back to a place of being happily single, as well as the biggest things she’s learnt about herself as she went through this process.
Nearly two years on - and much has changed! Jo published her book 'Flying for Beginners' and also met her true soulmate Terry all within a short space of time during the autumn of 2016.
In today's episode Jo talks to us about what it really took to get truly ready and why she believes Terry only came into her life when she was truly ready in herself.
It's such an uplifting story of hope - staying true to yourself amongst all the ups and downs and keeping the faith against the odds.

When is the right time to have sex? And is there a ‘right’ time? What would that mean for me, ‘us’ and our budding relationship? What about coming out of a long term relationship or marriage and the thought of getting naked again with someone new is frankly terrifying?
To help us ponder these very important questions I've invited my very special guest, Kate Taylor to come an talk to us. Kate is one of the most sought after, well known an experienced Dating, Relationship and Sex experts in the industry. She’s also the author of 5 internationally published books and have appeared on numerous TV and radio shows over the years.
Kate’s experience ranges from being Match.com UK’s Relationship expert for 10 years, as well the incredibly popular Sex Columnist for GQ Magazine – where The “Sex Life” column she wrote was voted the Readers’ Favourite Page every year for 5 years in a row. She’s been The Sun’s dedicated Sex Writer, the online Love Expert for ITV’s Love Island, and the presenter of Channel 4’s Sex Tips For Girls.
In 2017, Kaye was voted Dating Writer of the Year at the annual UK Dating Awards.
***Unless you’re seeking a no-strings-attached fling, Kate advocates sexual restraint for a period of time at least until a real emotional attachment is formed.
This is the premise for 'Not Tonight Mr. Right - Why Good Men Come to Girls Who Wait' - and that's exactly what we're talking about.
Some may say that this approach and advice is archaic, a form of 'manipulation' through withholding sex - and even disempowering to women. Kate certainly experienced resistance and criticism, pushing back against the idea of 'waiting' and we delve into that deeper during our interview.
Some of the key points we talk about:
Kate shares her personal experiences of how she discovered the impact of sex on the way her relationships developed over time - and how that led to her writing 'Not Tonight, Mr. Right'
Is it ‘wrong’ to not have sex during the early stages of dating these days? What about ‘try before you buy?’
Some of the main criticism and resistance against Kate’s views on waiting for a period of time before having sex in a relationship
What happens to us emotionally, and our bodies when we start having sex in a new relationship - can we separate our bodies and our hearts?
How to take control back in your dating life
How we can inadvertently start investing in a relationship that may actually not be real
The science and chemistry behind sexual connection and building attraction - the biological and hormonal reasons why sex is different for women
The role of Oxytocin — the 'Fatal Attraction hormone' — and how it can make women up to 8 times more emotionally attached after sex than men
The concept of ‘leaning back’ when dating and what that means
Kate shares her story of how she dated and found love again after her own divorce - and how her own advice impacted the relationship she has with her husband now
How to keep taking care of yourself even in a long term relationship / marriage
and much more!
I hope you enjoy this conversation with us! If you have any questions or comments don't hesitate to get in touch - I love hearing from you.

In my own experience, and in my work with my clients I find that one of the biggest ways we break our hearts is our own expectations. One of the biggest causes of relationship and marriage breakdown is ‘expectation’ - or more accurately ‘unmet expectations’. One of the biggest causes of struggle in our lives is our (unmet) expectations - usually unfair expectations that we project onto others.
When we believe people ‘should’ behave or act, or a situation in the life ‘should’ unfold as certain way we know that our expectations are at work. And the word ‘should’ is a very clear indication of that.
Shakespeare said it so well when he said ‘Expectation is at the root of all heartache’.

Day 20: “I VALUE MYSELF AND HAVE A POSITIVE AND EMPOWERING RELATIONSHIP WITH MYSELF. I love and respect myself and take care of myself in every way.”
It took me much heartbreak, several breakups and one soul destroying divorce to figure out that the only real factor that will be determine my relationship success long term is the relationship I have with myself.
This is my main job in my own relationship and my marriage. To take care of my own relationship with myself.
First. In every way. And every day.
To be the emotionally fit, secure and commitment-ready woman my husband was attracted to in the first place, and subsequently married requires me to pay focus inward and do the work I need to do. And he needs to do his. This is our gift to each other.
If you’re feeling stuck and struggling in your relationships and dating journey, make this your starting point.
I’m here for you and believing in you, as always Ane
Day 19: “I FEEL AUTHENTICALLY CONFIDENT AND COMFORTABLE WITH THE IDEA OF FULLY SHARING MY LIFE WITH SOMEBODY NEW – I don’t notice any internal resistance to the idea of sharing my life (again).”
A very short video with just one question for you:
Do you feel truly ready to share every area of your life? Every level?
And notice what comes up for you. Whatever it is – it’s totally fine. Just be really honest with yourself.
Any resistance that comes up for you will give you the clue(s) of anything that may cause a block or be an issue on your dating journey and a future relationship.
Thinking of you and sending much love as always Ane
Day 18: “I UNDERSTAND MY RELATIONSHIP HISTORY, HABITS AND PATTERNS – I know myself and how I tend to function in intimate relationships. I don’t have unresolved emotional issues, unhelpful habits and patterns that may sabotage a future relationship.”
‘If you always do what you always did, you’ll always get what you always got’ – I’m sure you’re familiar with this saying. And how very true this is when it comes to our relationships. We’re creatures of habit and it’s so easy to just slip into old, familiar behaviours in a new relationship – before we know it we’re back at square one.
This session is all about turning inward again, focussing and getting really honest with ourselves and looking at the the bigger picture of our past relationships. I also talk about knowing your Attachment style/pattern – something that can go a long way to help you make sense of how you relate in your relationships and why you behave the way you do. (Resources below)
I share 9 simple tips and resources to help you make sense of your relationship history and understand your own habits and patterns.

From early on in life, we develop an attachment to our primary caregivers that tends to remain constant. This attachment style has a profound effect not only on our emotional development, but also upon the health of our relationships.
The main attachment styles covered in this test are Secure, Anxious-Ambivalent, Dismissive-Avoidant, Fearful-Avoidant, Dependent, and Codependent. Find out what your style is and how it affects your relationships by taking this test.
Please note: After finishing the test, you will receive a Snapshot Report with an introduction, a graph and a personalized interpretation for one of your test scores. You will then have the option to purchase the full results.

Day 17: “I HAVE EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIP SKILLS – I understand relationships, can maintain closeness and intimacy, communicate authentically and assertively, negotiate difference positively, allow myself to trust and be vulnerable, and can give and receive love without emotional barriers.”
In this short video I share the uncomfortable truth about relationships not working out, one of the biggest indicators of success when looking for a new partner and a key resource that can help you gain real insight into your own relationship skill and behaviours.
much love as always
Day 16: “I KNOW WHAT KIND OF ACTIVITIES TO ENGAGE IN TO MEET THE KIND OF PEOPLE I WANT TO MEET – I know there are many ways and circumstances of meeting people and I am prepared to proactively make this happen where I can.”
As you already know - the work that I do and my deep belief about relationships is that we create what we want from the inside out.
That it is much more about who we are being than what we are doing when it comes to finding the right person for us.
In today's video I share with you key strategies to help you meet and attract the right person for you - by using the 'inside-out' approach.
Believing in you and much love as always Ané
Day 15: “I AM MAKING, OR AM READY TO MAKE DATING AND MEETING NEW PEOPLE A PRIORITY – I am ready to be open to creating connection and create or join in opportunities to meet new people that are aligned with the kind of life I want to lead.”
Today we’re just taking stock and checking in with ourselves.
Are you ready to make dating and meeting new people a priority?
Wherever you’re up to is totally fine.
Believing in you as always – and I’m here for you
thank you,
Day 14: “I HAVE EFFECTIVE DATING SKILLS – I initiate contact with people I want to meet, and disengage from people who are not a match for me. I keep my physical and emotional boundaries, and balance my heart with my head with potential partners.”
Dating in itself isn’t just a skill, it is a mindset. It’s not just simply something you do, it is a process that you go through to find, attract and choose who you want to spend the rest of your life with.
Who you are being is the most important determining factor on your unique path to new love and a new relationship.
I share with you 6 tips to help you proactively practice your dating skills, fully engage in your own dating journey and ultimately to find love again.
Believing in you as always, Ane
Day 13/21: “I DON’T HAVE UNRESOLVED EMOTIONAL ISSUES WITH MY EX OR PREVIOUS ROMANTIC PARTNERS – I no longer have a romantic interest in my ex-partner/spouse or want to get back together with them. This area will not sabotage a future relationship.”
This is so obvious I know. But I have so many conversations that involve somebody still being invested and connected to their ex on an emotional level – and often not releasing until they get involved with somebody new. Then it all comes up.
Why it’s so important:
– If affects your emotional availability to fully engage with somebody new.
– Rebound relationships are part of the dating scene and often compound the emotional fragility and pain from a relationship or marriage breakdown.
– You look at every new person and relationship through the filter of your previous relationship and your ex. This often causes (unfair) comparison.
– Unprocessed feelings towards your ex and what happened between you may cause you to project your unresolved fears, triggers and wounds onto a new partner / relationship
In this session I share with you 7 strategies to help you move on from your ex so that you can fully engage in your own dating journey and finding love again.
Believing in you as always,
thank you, Ane
Day 12/21: MY FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS ARE FUNCTIONAL – My relationships with my children, ex, siblings, parents, and extended family do not interfere with having the life and relationship that I want.
Depending on your individual situation this can be such a complicated area to navigate. A serious breakup or divorce doesn’t just happen between a couple – there are so many others who are part of it at least to some extent. Invest some time and take inventory of your family and social relationships and how they may impact, support or sabotage your dating journey and creating a new relationship.
In this session I share with you 3 steps to help you set yourself up for success when it comes to dealing with your family relationships while you are on your journey to date and find love again.
Believing in you as always
thank you, Ane
Day 11: “MY FINANCIAL & LEGAL BUSINESS IS HANDLED – I have no financial or legal issues that would interfere with having the life and relationship that I want.”
During my own divorce this was the part that I probably found the hardest in the end. By the time my marriage ended I’d dealt with the emotional side of things to an extent, but I wasn’t prepared for the avalanche of paperwork and stress the actually legal process brought – on top of dealing with my financial situation at the time. It went on for around 2 years, even as I was in a new relationship. And at times it caused a huge amount of ongoing stress between me and my new partner.
Don’t underestimate the effect legal and/or financial issues can have on your capacity to date and build a new relationship. The reality of divorce these days mean that the person you are dating may even be going through something similar at the same time.
In today’s video I share with you 3 crucial steps to have your own legal and financial business handled to make sure it doesn’t sabotage or affect a future relationship.
Your assignment for today:
Remember – the way you take control of your financial situation as a single person will set the standard for the way you handle your finances in a future relationship and/or new marriage.
Much love as always and believing in you Ane
Day 10/11: "I FEEL GOOD ABOUT MYSELF - I am happy with my physical appearance, style and presentation, I feel confident in my body and exploring a new sexual & intimate relationship in future."
Even though we discuss the way we feel about ourselves physically, today's short workshop goes beyond that.
Your assignment for today:
Reflect on how you truly feel about yourself at this stage in your life
What does your 'vibe' say about you - what do you 'project' to the outside world?
How is the way you feel about yourself helping or hindering you?
How do you feel about getting intimate with somebody new?
Just notice what comes up for you. If you feel any resistance in yourself it is always an accurate sign of something that may need your attention, something that may need healing and for you to make internal shift(s) you need to make.
This is something to be excited about!
Much love as always
Day 9/21: “I AM HEALTHY IN MIND, BODY AND SOUL – My physical, mental, or emotional health does not interfere with having the life and relationship that I want.”
In this session I talk about:
and more!
Your assignment:
Reflect on each of these areas individually and ask yourself whether there is anything you know you need to pay attention to and work on - anything you feel may sabotage a future relationship or hold you back from attracting the right person for you.
If you're not doing that just yet - why is that and what is stopping you? What have you been putting off long enough?
Much love as always
Day 8/21: “I AM SATISFIED WITH MY WORK/CAREER – My work is fulfilling, supports my lifestyle, and does not interfere with a new relationship.”
This is a short video with an important question for you:
Is there any way in which your work / career could potentially sabotage a future relationship?
Whether it’s about not having time to create and nurture a new relationship, or being so unhappy in your career that it affects every other area of your life – we can’t get away from the fact that it can impact on our personal and relationships in a hugely significant way.
Take some time to reflect today on how your career is affecting your life right now and how you can make adjustments to support you instead of blocking you or holding you back.
Sending much love to wherever you are.
thank you, Ane
Day 7/21: “MY LIFE SCHEDULE ALLOWS FOR ME TO BE AVAILABLE FOR COMMITMENT – I don’t have work, family or other commitments that could sabotage dating and a new relationship. If there are I have arrangements in place to take care of this. My schedule, commitments and lifestyle allow my availability to create new connections and build a new relationship.”
Something we often overlook is the actual space we create for love in our lives.
With life as busy as it is – how on earth do you actually find time to create new connections, meet new people and ‘date’?
In today’s session we’re not talking about emotional space, or clearing out physical space within your home – we’re talking about your time commitments and all the things that you need to juggle in your life.
And it is to encourage you to reflect on if, how and where you could potentially create time to prioritise your (new) love life.
Because sometimes that is what it is going to take – actually scheduling in time to get creative on how you can proactively meet new people and engage in activities where you can expand your horizons.
It’s time to make yourself and your love life a priority – just take the first step. And if you need my support, I’m here for you.
Sending you so much love,
thank you,
Day 6/21: I AM EMOTIONALLY READY & AVAILABLE FOR COMMITMENT – I have no emotional or legal baggage from a previous relationship. I ready to open up to new connection and don’t have unresolved emotional issues that may create barriers in a new relationship.
In this video we touch on:
– what it actually means if we keep attracting ’emotionally unavailable’ people – why the dating scene is not a level playing field – what I believe about ‘baggage’
I have 4 questions for you to consider:
Do you have any unresolved emotional issues that may affect or sabotage a future relationship?
How is it showing up in your life and relationships?
How will you know when you’re emotionally ready and available for your next relationship?
What steps will you take to become fully open and emotionally available for your next relationship?
This work is always part of the process I take my clients through.
Everybody needs some time to process this, and having somebody with an outside perspective to help you see clearly the blindspots and blocks you may have when it comes to your own ’emotional availability’ can help you make super fast progress to where you want to get to.
Sending you so much love
Day 5/21: I AM HAPPY WITH MY LIFE & SUCCESSFUL BEING SINGLE – I enjoy my single life, my work, my family, my friends, and my own company. I am living the life that I want, and I am not seeking a relationship out of desperation, need or loneliness. In this short video I ask you just one key question – and I would absolutely love to hear your answer.
Take a moment – and write it down – whether you send it to me or not, that’s ok. But keep something as a reminder of where you’re up to on your journey right now.
While you’re thinking about your vision for your future and your next relationship – how amazing will it be to look back in 3 – 6 – 12 months from now and see how far you’ve come, and what an amazing this period in your life is playing in the bigger picture.
You can email me direct at ane@datingcoach.uk I’d love to hear from you.
Believing in you.

Day 4/21: “I KNOW MY DEAL BREAKERS AND BOUNDARIES – I am crystal clear about my non- negotiable requirements (deal breakers) and I remain true to these when I meet potential partners.”
Know what you say NO to – and what to walk away from. Because sometimes that is the only option.
We all have our limits when it comes to what we accept in our relationships – but all too often we compromise, we settle, we sell ourselves short, we stay quiet when we should really speak up for ourselves and we ignore our gut feeling when something doesn’t feel right.
So let’s just break it down:
Deal breakers When we talk about ‘deal breakers, or non-negotiables’ we talk about things where there can be absolute no compromise on for a relationship to work. We all have them to some extent – they are personal, they are there for a reason and they are absolutely valid.
The key is that even if you are in the most perfect relationship with the most perfect person – if you deal breakers are present in that relationship it will eventually not work out. It will catch up with you.
Examples include being with somebody who wants to have a family; getting married; being financially stable; issues around religion, politics, culture; issues around drugs; mental health; a history of violence etc.
If you feel willing to compromise it is probably not an absolute deal breaker for you. In that case be prepared to compromise and have the conversations you need to have to ensure doesn’t cause a rift in your relationship further down the line.
Personal Boundaries When we talk about boundaries we talk about the kind of behaviour we accept, tolerate, reject or compromise on in our personal lives. It is a large part of what defines who we are and how we ‘operate’ in life and our personal relationships. It is a deep rooted part of us and the origin of our boundaries – or often lack of boundaries are in early childhood or developed through our later experiences. It’s very much like your mindset, and connected with your mindset – if they don’t serve you, you can absolutely change it.
3 Key Truths About Deal Breakers and Boundaries in our relationships:
We teach people how to treat us, right from the first time we meet them We get what we accept and allow to continue in our relationships We are only ones that are responsible for setting our deal breakers and boundaries and communicating them clearly and confidently Boundaries are very much tied to actually being able to communicate them clearly – and this comes down to valuing and respecting enough yourself to speak up, walk away or change a situation that you are not comfortable with.
Find your relationship voice and be strong in that. You can only ever take responsibility for your own actions and reactions in any relationship – so don’t take any responsibility for anybody else. Their behaviour, choices and actions are only a reflection on them – not you. When you’ve come through a divorce and breakup it’s time for reflection and taking stock of what you will and won’t accept in a future relationship. Take the time to get really clear on what your personal deal breakers and boundaries are as you go forward.
This will really support you on your dating journey and help you avoid a situation where you may settle, sell yourself short, sabotage yourself or get stuck where you know deep down you shouldn’t be.
Day 3/21: “I BELIEVE THAT I WILL MEET MY IDEAL PARTNER – I believe that finding, meeting and attracting the right person for me is possible and that I will have the relationship I want. I believe that I have the ability to attract the right person for me and create the lifelong partnership that I’m looking for.”
Today we’re talking about Mindset, which in summary is the set of beliefs and attitudes that you hold about something. In the context of today’s session it is for example your beliefs and attitude towards love, dating, relationships, intimacy, commitment, men, women, your ability to attract the right person for you etc.
In my experience this is often the one thing that can be standing in your way – the thing that causes you to sabotage yourself, settle or keep yourself stuck in a situation you know deep down is not right for you. Most of it is so deeply established inside of and we’re not always conscious of it. Becoming aware of your own set of beliefs is one of the most important steps and the great thing is – we can change it. You don’t have to stay stuck in a mindset that is not supporting you to get what you want.
So often I speak to women who tell me that they feel they’re doing everything ‘right’, but it still just doesn’t work out for them.
What we discover is that while they do everything they can think of on the surface – deep down they still don’t believe that they deserve the amazing relationship they’re looking for, that they’re ‘not good enough’ for the kind of person they want to meet. So even when they do meet someone amazing, they still sabotage a potential relationship because of this mindset that is standing in their way. I am very familiar with this as I’ve done it myself – and it almost cost the relationship I have now with my husband because I didn’t do the work I needed to do to get myself into a better place.
In the end I managed to turn it around and today I help my clients to do the same.
*A little while I recorded a podcast to help you identify some of your key beliefs and it summarises 5 key questions I believe we should all ask ourselves on our journey to meet the right partner for us.
Don’t doubt your ability to attract the right person for you – you can have the relationship you want. I absolutely believe that and I’m here to show you the way.

Day 2/21: “I HAVE A CRYSTAL CLEAR VISION FOR MY NEXT RELATIONSHIP – I Know What Kind Of Relationship I Want To Create And It Is In Line With The Vision I Have For My Life Overall.”
In the Find Love Again Workshop on day 1 we talked about having absolute clarity on your life vision, purpose and the legacy you want to leave. In this workshop we build on that and look at 6 key criteria to help you get crystal clear on what you want your next relationship to look, feel and be like.
I absolutely believe that we create our ideal relationship in our heart, mind and soul first. It is what’s inside of us that ultimately drive the choices we make when we choose who to spend time with and let into our lives. Having clarity about what you’re looking for is like a GPS system – it helps you to avoid what doesn’t work for you and it helps you recognise it when you find what you’re looking for. Life will still do it’s magic and there is of course no way to predict who you’re going t meet. But what I know for sure is that clarity gets rewarded.
It wasn’t until my own marriage ended and I was looking to find love again myself that I, for the first time in my life, sat down and carefully thought about my next relationship.
My divorce gave me the opportunity to start again and redesign my whole life – including my next relationship. So I wrote it all down. And today I am married to the most amazing man today, with the qualities I was looking for and the kind of relationship I hoped for and dreamt about.
6 Key criteria for your next relationship – I go into much more detail on each of these points in the video so do make sure to listen to it.
1)The type of relationship you want to create 2)Values & characteristics 3)Ideal physical characteristics 4)Deal-breakers and Boundaries 5)Your Life Vision and Legacy 6)How you want to feel in your relationship

Day 1/21: "I KNOW WHAT I WANT MY LIFE TO LOOK LIKE GOING FORWARD - I have a clear vision for my life. I can envision my perfect life in rich detail that feels strong, very real, and keeps me motivated. I know the legacy I want to create with my life"
3 Key steps to creating your ultimate life vision
Get crystal clear on the the legacy you want to create as an individual and in a long term, committed partnership. Knowing what you want your life to look like sets you on the right track to connect with likeminded people and connecting with somebody who supports, respects and understand your ultimate life vision - and vice versa of course.
Create and live your best life while you're single. Don't wait or put anything off just because you're waiting for the ideal person or the ideal relationship. Rediscover forgotten dreams, ideas and passions that may have been left behind when you were in a previous relationship or marriage and do whatever you can to do what you always wanted to do if it's still important to you. Or find new dreams and passions that are in line with where you're at this stage in your life - and go them.
Create connection with those who are in alignment with you. This will exponentially increase the chances of meeting the right person for you. Take your time to take stock of where you're up to at this stage in your life and invest in setting out your vision for your future.
Life can be unpredictable - and of course things will change over time.
A new partner and relationship may open up new and wonderful experiences and avenues that you never even thought of. I'm a living example of this as it's exactly what happened when my husband introduced me to sailing - I had no idea I would love it so much.
It's become something we both love to do together and we're planning a lot of our future around taking time out to do something we have a shared interested in.
Having your own amazing, interesting life - whatever that means to you - is incredibly attractive and will resonate with the right person for you.

Madeleine Mason, psychologist and director of dating & relationship expert company, PassionSmiths shares with a really practical process you can follow to identify and free yourself from unhelpful patterns in your life.
Today we’re talking about something I think we all come across in our relationship lives at some point or another - and that is our own habits and patterns and the way we do things, respond to triggers, choices we make and so on. Often these habits and patterns are unhelpful as a minimum and when we look at it across the spectrum they can also become really toxic, damaging and destructive - not just to ourselves, but the people in our lives too, especially those closest to us.
Discovering and finding different ways of dealing with these sorts of habits and patterns is always something that come up in my coaching practice with my clients - and it is also something that I have to be personally very aware of. Not just in my own marriage, but also in my other relationships with family, colleagues and other areas in my life. It’s so easy to fall into a certain way or arguing or dealing with issues that actually hurt you rather than finding different, more constructive ways of dealing with it.
For today's interview I’ve invited a special guest to come and talk to us about how we can change our unhelpful or destructive relationship habits and patterns.
Madeleine Mason is a psychologist and director of dating & relationship expert company, PassionSmiths. She is one of the best dating coaches in the world, picking up third place at the international iDate awards 2016. Her specialism is in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) based coaching and she works with both singles and couples who need help with their love lives.
Alongside her coaching, she is Psychologies Magazine’s in-house dating expert for their LifeLabs blogging platform and is seen regularly in the press. Furthermore, she is founding member of the UK-based Dating Industry Professionals Network, member of the British Psychological Society and currently undertaking a part-time doctorate in counselling psychology.
What we discuss and some questions I ask
How would you define an unhelpful / destructive chronic and repetitive relationship habits or patterns?
How do we recognise it in our own lives? How do they show up?
What are the deep rooted issues underneath these habits and patterns?
What are some of the most common toxic or destructive patterns you see in your practice?
What are the signs of being in a toxic relationship would you say? How do you know?

Today I talk about the benefits of creating and living a single life you love PLUS 4 steps you can take to create a life you love - today!
This really is one of my favourite topics and one of the most vital pieces of work I do with my clients - it’s so important in the context of everything that I do that I even included it in the podcast intro!
And it is all about creating a single life you love.
Now - why would I - as a Dating and Relationship coach encourage you to build a single life (that you love of course)?
Simply because - from personal experience - and results I see from my clients and the simple truth: Loving your life as a single person has a profound impact on your capacity and ability to attract the right person for you.
I hope you enjoy this episode and would love to hear from you if you have any comments, observations or questions for me!
If you are single right now (whether by choice or by circumstance) you are in a much, much better position than thousands and thousands of people who have compromised and settled and are stuck in relationships and marriages that are not right for them. That is something to be celebrated - not tolerated!

If you’re thinking of trying out online dating or you’re doing it already and not getting the results you want – then do stay tuned because today I’ll be getting the inside story from somebody who has not only done it herself (with a lovely happy ending!) – but she is also working in the field of online dating in a very special and unique way.
My guest today is the fabulous Saskia Nelson – the talent behind the award-winning and internationally acclaimed Hey Saturday, the UK’s first and coolest dating photography business, specialising in creating online dating profile photos that jump off the page and attract dates for 100s of single people. She is also the co-founder of Irresistible Dating. Saskia has been credited by Time magazine for kickstarting the genre of dating photography and is recognised as the leading industry expert in the UK & US on all things dating photo related.
Saskia also puts her extensive online dating experiences to good use by sharing her experiences and wisdom on her blog – you can find out more on the Hey Saturday website at www.heysaturday.co
Saskia recently wrote a great article for the Huffington post called Five Epic Questions to Ask Yourself Right Now If You Want to Date Smarter – and this interview is all about going into real detail on each of those questions PLUS Saskia shares some really great ideas about online dating profile photos and how to make the best of your profile!
But even though we talk online dating, everything Saskia shares is just as relevant to dating and creating a relationship ‘offline’.
I read the original Huffington Post article a little while ago, but it was just great to hear it come to live in Saskia’s own voice and I appreciate her sharing so much of her own personal experiences. I hope you enjoy it with us!

if you are feeling a little low on the body-confidence side, or feel that you want to make some lifestyle changes when it comes to health and fitness but don’t know where to start – come and join me and my special guest for today’s episode.
I often hear from my clients and other women I speak to that they find the thought of getting naked with somebody new in their life a daunting thought - and for some it even prevents them from going out and meeting a potentially great match.
I think we al feel a little vulnerable when it comes to our bodies sometimes (and the media obviously doesn't help)- but there are so many things we can do to improve our overall health and lifestyle that doesn't involve strict diets and hours on the treadmill.
Zita Alves focusses on health and a healthy lifestyle first - this will go a long way in helping you feel great about yourself again. And also to love those imperfect bits that make you perfect the way you are!
Zita describes herself as a former couch potato (and the ‘office cake monster’) who has transformed herself into somebody who is super passionate about helping women over 40 discover the benefits of living a fit and healthy lifestyle.
Zita also shares with us how she went from being an asthmatic, overweight, non-exercising, stressed-out marketing executive to becoming a personal trainer and nutrition expert. You’ll hear about the ups-and-downs that are all part of the journey and how Zita stays motivated to be a role model for others and walk her talk. I know this because I’ve known and followed Zita for some time – and I’ve also done some of her bootcamps! Ouch. I do recommend them wholeheartedly!
Zita has worked with hundreds of people over the last 17 years through 1-1 personal training, group classes at Zest Bootcamp and also online to help them change their mindset and holistically overhaul their lifestyle.
She knows what it’s like to struggle with weight and fitness and so she wants to help anyone who is willing to try, to learn how to be healthier and happier which includes being a good role model for their children.

We explore one of the most hidden factors that may be at the root of why you haven't found the relationship you're look for - yet!
If you are, like many of the amazing single people I speak to, trying to figure out what is going wrong for you, or feel that there is some sort of invisible force driving your love life, come and join me and find out whether you may be coming up against this barrier in your search for your soulmate.
For today’s episode I want to share with you something that I come across often in my work with clients and conversations with colleagues and even friends – and of course, in my own life! Trust me – what I’m going to talk about today has been – and still is very much present in my daily life – and to be honest, I don’t think it’s going anywhere soon because I have to make daily choices about it.
I’m talking about something that I’m realising is one of THE Biggest barriers in some people’s lives when it comes to finding love and having the relationship they say they want. And it’s easy to go unnoticed for a very long time unless you or somebody else consciously call you out on it.
And it is simply this: Ambivalence – the hidden barrier when it comes to love. The definition of Ambivalence states that it is the “state of having mixed feelings or contradictory ideas about something or someone” or “the simultaneous existence of two opposed and conflicting attitudes, emotions”
It manifests itself in all sorts of ways in our lives – whether it’s achieving a particular goal at work, taking care our bodies, fitness (eating healthy for example) – but for our purposes today we will talk about how it manifests itself in love, dating and relationships.
This episode touches on what it can potentially look like in your life, ways it can show up for you and what you can do to start changing it!

In just 5 questions you can pinpoint some potential blocks that are holding you back from finding and attracting the person you want to spend your life with.
I want you to have fun dating and to do so from a strong, powerful and confident place – but I want so much more for you than a great dating life. I want you to meet the love of the life, and for you to be as ready as you can be to create the extraordinary relationship you’re looking for.
Once you’ve mastered yourself and the way you date and relate your confidence will soar and you won’t really be that concerned about whether you know what to say or how to approach somebody. No longer will you be getting caught up in ‘games’ or figuring out where a relationship is going based on a guy blowing hot and cold.
And getting to this place, my beautiful friend, starts with one person only: YOU. This is exactly what we’re going to talk about today – we’re going to focus on the most important person here: YOU. Your heart. Your insides. Your desires and dreams.
Did you know that what attracts us and a potential partner to each other is by far largely subconscious? We may think that our conscious and logical mind are in charge, but it’s only really involved involved to a certain point. What drives our choices, decisions, actions and reactions are largely subconscious. And a huge part of this subconscious drive of ours is our emotional blueprint – our deepest held beliefs about life, love, relationships, dating, men and women.
We carry this from our earliest experiences – some memories we can recall, others we can’t, but it doesn’t mean that they don’t play their part. For many of us our earliest experiences are quite painful – and based on this we made some decisions about ourselves, how we approach love and allow ourselves to be loved.
This is a complex area for many of us – and it needs a lot more time than what we’ve got today. But for today my question to you is simply to explore your deepest held beliefs about love, dating, men/women and relationships.
I want you to grab your favourite notebook, your favourite drink and give yourself some uninterrupted time to do this. The questions I am going to ask you achieve some of THE greatest shifts with my coaching clients – they’re deceptively simple, but so profound.
And often, when we get to work, just a few questions can pinpoint where the blocks are.

In this episode I explain why, when it comes to love, dating and relationships – it all starts with one person only: You. I also talk about what it means to live a life 'ready for love' and some key points to consider when you think about your role in your relationships.

When you realise that what you bring to a relationship - what I call our 'Light and Shadow sides' you can truly take control of your love life. Knowing what you bring instead of mostly focussing on what you want helps you make different choices and decisions about what is right for you.
So what do I mean by ‘Your Love Light and Shadow’
It simply means that we all bring with us both our light and shadow sides into our relationships. It’s just the way we’re made – and I believe we’re all a bit of a beautiful and messy mix of both.
Today I want you to really connect with yourself and think about the way you show up in your relationships.
It is crucial for us to know what we want in a relationship, what our deal breakers are – having crystal clear clarity around what we want to create. But what we don’t always think about so clearly – is what we actually bring to a relationship. And you know what – in my mind that is actually more important. I’m going to say that again – what you bring to a relationship is more important than what you get from it.
You know why? Because when you truly know and understand yourself – all of you – you know why you do what you do, why you love who you love and who you love. When you truly accept yourself you can love yourself, take care of yourself and we know that that is one of the absolute building blocks of a successful relationship.
When you take responsibility for yourself, your stuff – your choices and decisions – you don’t expect to be saved or rescued and you make different relationship choices. When you know and understand yourself, when you know your boundaries – your voice is strong and you don’t compromise or lose your voice in your relationship.
This episode is about really paying attention to yourself in a loving and kind way. All of you – the shadow and the light. Listen for the two questions I ask you to discover what this may mean for you.
