There is a need for more churches in America. Churches are to edify new church plants and the new churches are to multiply. Success in the Bible is the multiplying of the people you have in the church and then makie disciples.
The Lord is attempting to breathe air into the life of a few believers in the church because there is still hope. It takes just a few of a small minority to stand up for the Lord and His church.
The church of Sardis had lost the power of the Holy Spirit. What is the remedy for a church that is dying and on life support? It is only through the power of the Spirit of the Lord Jesus who speaks the word and that brings individuals back to life.
This Psalm is a contrast of the frailty of humanity and the timelessness of God, He is eternal. Life is short and what you do today matters, make it count for the Lord.
What we sing should be an accurate representation of and reflection of what we believe to be true about God, His character and iHis intentions. God's desire is that none should perish.
There is no difference between the Jew or the Greek of the world. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. There is a Gospel plan and process to reach those who have not heard.
What would be the greatest blessing Paul could receive at the Judgment Seat of Christ? The Thessalonian believers were Paul's crown, glory and joy, they would be in heaven with Paul one day. What is your mission? Who can you inspire?
There is a tragedy here in this passage.Leadership sometimes fails and leaders make mistakes. There is a lot of responsibility on those in leadership. Leaders are targets for the devil.
The church was experiencing opposition and they were holding fast to the Lord's Name. However, there were two stains in the church, they had compromised with the doctrines of Balaam and Nicolaiitans.
The theme of the song is praise the Lord. Praise Him for who He is and what He has done.
This is the first time that Elijah has appeared in Scripture. lElijah means Jehovah is my God. God in his mercy and love for the nation of Israel sends Elijah to Ahab. A drought would emphasize that God is the God who controls the rain and He closed heaven because of disobedience and to get the attention of Israel.
There are good and bad types of compromise. Bad types of compromise are giving up on core beliefs and values. Consensus is putting away or giving up everything you believe. Jesus is coming with the sword of salvation and and of judgment. Only what God thinks matters.
We are commanded to obey and proclaim God's Words so don't let anybody talk you out of obeying God's word completely. Obedience matters to God.
The pastor is to rule well. The elders as leaders of the church are to govern and give oversight to the church. Obey, submit, and follow the lpastor and elders of the church. The should be a difference in the Christian in how they take care of the pastor and people and even their animals.
Paul and Barnabus are spiritual medal of honor men, soldiers running into the spiritual battle that has real physical consequences. They are true heroes of The Faith. Paul told the people to turn to the One True Living God.
The joy of the disciples seeing God's work expand during intense difficulty is the key to the church's expansion. God blesses when God's people get on board with God's plan by using their gifts and abilities The greatest battle we face as believers is the battle of the mind.
There are similarities of the churches in Revelation and they were not much different than churches today. All churches are filled with believers who are listening to the voice of Jesus who speaks to each one in attendance. He is the authority over all churches.
God has a plan for your life and His will for you is to have a personal relationship with him. How are you responding to God's call on your life?
Elijah was a servant of Lord and followed the word of the Lord. He had boldness because he was a servant of the Lord and He had done "all these things."
The Lord Jesus will be coming with the clouds of heaven to the Ancient of Days. If you are suffering-take hope-Jesus is coming!

God is passionate and jealous towards humanity because He knows there is a threat against people to steal our hearts away from God to idols. Keep your heart and soul protected from evil.
God wants us to call out to Him and He will answer. How do we hear His voice? it is thought his word.
There is a theological and moral decline in our world and God has given us the answer, it is the word of God. A void exists in our society because of the absence of God and His standard.
Prophets in the Old Testament were asked to do some strange things. Jeremiah suffered for doing what God told him to do, it takes courage to the right thing. Trust the Lord and his word when it doesn't even make sense.
God has a plan to dwell with His people, Israel, in their land through a New Covenant which happens in the distant future. God intended the New Covenant blessings to be enjoyed by more that just Israel.
God is ever present and He is our protection.and provision. No threat can overpower us when we follow the plans and will of God. He is the one who is in control of all history and He is there for us to call upon when we need him.
God Almighty nourishes and pours His life into His Children. He is the bountiful giver, pouring out blessings to His owm.
God reveals how he will restore the nation of Israel. God is a God of second chances and all of Israel will be cleansed of their sin and be healed.
We serve the God of the living not a God of the dead. The title Olam means the far distant horizon (past or future) or beyond what we can see or comprehend. God has always existed.
There will be a time of trouble in the life of Israel that there will be such severe pain as in child birth. Salvation and then the restoration will follow this time of trouble.
The Lord had allowed, by his mercy for the people to return to the promised land. This restoration back to their land led them to a joyful response and then sought to pray for the lost of the captivity.
The Lord is our great physician and he has come to heal those who are sick. We have a sin sickness and need to be healed.
Patience is endurance and Jesus endured the cross for us. Don't give in, don't give up, endure by the grace of God. Godliness is never measured by standards but is always measured by our Savior.
Giving all diligence is giving maximum effort to the key areas of our lives so we are living authentic Christian lifves?
These promises are great and precious because they come from a Holy God who keeps his word to believers. Every promise is guaranteed to be true.

A yoke was a a burden and a sign of submission. When we reject God's message He makes like harder because of rejection, even though it is the answer to our need. Light accepted bings more light. Light rejected brings more darkness.
Not worshipping the golden idol had severe consequences. Stand for God and do not bow the knee to idols. Your stand for God will be tested.
Threshing wheat and pressing wine in the Old Testament was a sign of judgment. God is active in pruning away sin when chastening believers. Peace is not about a location it is about a relationship with a person, Jehovah Shalom.
It is a mark of maturity to allow God to be God and not get in his way. Joseph saw the divine hand of God in all things to bring about His perfect will.

When bad things happen God doesn't abandon his own. God works through His providence by putting people in your path during times of difficulty and suffering .

As God has protected Jacob He also protects those that are His from the evil that surrounds them. Why does God protect some and not others? God is good in the times of protection and when there isn't protection from suffering.
Justification is when God declares us to be righteous. Sanctification is the process over time where we begin to live out what we are as justified persons. This is what God wants for our lives.
When Jesus touched those who were diseased they were healed because He had power over disease and nature. Don't limit the ability of Jesus because of unbelief. He wants to heal your heart and soul, let Him do only what he can do in your life.
God wants us to have an understanding and anticipation of the future pictured in heaven seen in these verses. God is worthy and if you will follow His way you will be the best that you can be.
Jacob is a blessed man because of the grace and mercy of God upon his life. God is stirring Jacob and he wants to go back to the land of his father. Our inner desires may not match God's direction and we need to listen and trust in Him.

Timothy was charged and encouraged by the Apostle Paul that he might war a good warfare. We are fighting a spiritual battle against principalities and powers in this life .God has gifted each of us and given us His Word so we can fight against the spiritual battle.
The world in which we live in is just as mixed up as Jacob's time. That God would work in this situation shows His mighty work of grace. How can we resolve conflict?
We can do exceedingly above what we think, if God can do it in Paul's life He can make a change in your live as well. God has given you everything you need for the task before you.
The Bible tells us when the end time come Jerusalem will be attacked and there will be war, it will be the Day of the Lord, the nations will come against Israel. When you see these things take place know that the Son of man is coming.
A church who loses its purpose, which is to spread the gospel, is a spiritually dead church. The Gospel shines out to a lost and dying world and saves the lost. The ultimate purpose of the church is to promote the gospel and sound doctrine/teaching.
Jesus is watching the crowd as the people put in their offerings. He observes the contrast of false worship and true worship that is done with a true heart. Jesus takes note of the little things and the big things, he sees the heart. Our giving is based on how much we sacrifice.
Paul is identifying a group of people who teach another doctrine and they are a threat to the faith. We are to be on offense against false doctrine and live according to God's word and the truth.
How do you handle life when things don't turn out your way? God is patient with us when things are difficult and He takes our brokenness and puts us back together. When we leave God out of our decisions we are asking for trouble.
Properly answering the question, who is Jesus of Nazareth, determines your eternal destiny. He is the Christ, the Son of God, who sits at the right hand of God.
We are all on a journey following a leader but it is not necessarily a safe journey. Preaching and teaching guides us on the journey so we can continue to grow in the truth.
The Sadducees were aristocrats, wealthy and were cozy with Rome. They didn't understand that there are two kingdoms–two realities, the earthly realm and the heavenly realm where there will be no sin or death.
God makes covenants that He promises to keep and we are to keep the promises we make to God.
There was a plan in place to capture Jesus even though he is innocent. The spies pretended to be righteous so they could trap Jesus.

There are six aspects to these verses: a child is born, a son is given, the government will rest upon his shoulders, his name shall be called..., the increase of his government and peace will continue forever, the throne of David and upon his kingdom will have justice, order and judgement forever more.
A name gives us our identity/title and it also brings to us belonging from a family. Your name gives a testimony and certain characteristics.
Giving is reciprocal. When we give to help with the needs of others God will give us everything we need. You cannot out give God.
What John saw was the big picture of history and the overall war between the world-Satan, and God. The woman in this passage is identified by the child that she bears, Christ, the Son of God. This is the Gospel narrative.
Is the Christmas Tree a good tradition to have?The Christmas Tree can remind us of the tree Jesus died on. The reason Jesus came was to suffer and die upon a tree for our sin.

Luke is writing theologically not chronologically about these events and Jesus comes as the prophesied prophet and weeps over the city.
Jacob will do what it takes to get what he wants and he doesn't listen to his conscience when something doesn't seem right. God built within all of us a voice, an indwelling conscience to discern what is right and wrong.

When the Day of the Lord comes it will be a time of great trouble for Israel. Why does God allow such devastation and abuse-- Because of the free will of man, sin has consequences, judgment upon Israel for their rejection of Him.
Because God is holy there is a price for sin, it is judgment. Jesus, the Savior, came to bring the judgment to pay the cost for the sin of humanity.
God desires to be a refuge for his people and he protects. God desires to give daily guidance to his people and he leads.
There is a Divine Revelation-Fear not, God is an exceedingly great reward. There is a Despondent Response-Cast all care on the Lord. There is a Divine Reassurance-God will protect and give what is needed against all foes. Faith is the only response to God's revelation.
Without acknowledging and depending upon the authority of the Lord Jesus we will lack the spiritual authority during the most difficult times.
