During his sabbatical, Pastor Brian was reminded that God is actively at work around the world, building His Church and drawing people to Himself. Reflecting on Scripture and the lives of faithful believers who sacrificed for the sake of the gospel, he challenged us to invest our time, resources, and lives in what will last for eternity. Though following Jesus will always involve a cost, there is no greater purpose than helping people take steps toward Him, trusting that our labor for Christ will never be in vain.
Time is one of God’s most valuable gifts, yet it is easy to live as though there will always be more of it. Scripture calls us to recognize the brevity of life, respond to God while it is still “today,” and stop delaying the obedience, forgiveness, generosity, and witness we already know He is asking of us. The time to wake up, live with eternal urgency, and fully follow Jesus is not someday; it is now.
Trusting God means choosing to rely on His wisdom instead of our own, even when life doesn't unfold the way we expected. Through Proverbs 3 and Paul's example in prison, we're reminded that God often deepens our faith through disappointment, using difficult circumstances to draw us closer to Himself and reshape our perspective. As we submit every area of our lives to Him, He promises to guide our path and reorder our priorities.
It is possible to look like a Christian on the outside while remaining spiritually lifeless within, settling for cultural habits or consumer faith instead of a genuine relationship with Jesus. Authentic faith remembers the gospel, turns away from sin, and keeps pursuing Christ with a heart of ongoing repentance and devotion. We do not have to cover our shame or overcome our brokenness in our own strength, because Jesus clothes those who trust Him with His holiness, healing, power, love, and victory.
The feeding of the five thousand reveals that Jesus isn't simply interested in meeting our immediate needs—He is inviting us to trust Him with what we have and discover that His presence is the greater gift. By placing a small lunch into Jesus' hands, the miracle reminds us that surrender is where God's provision begins, and that He often uses our limitations to reveal His power. Ultimately, every miracle points beyond itself to the cross, where Jesus, the Bread of Life, gave Himself so that our deepest hunger could be satisfied in Him alone.
Jesus often steps into our disappointment before He changes our circumstances, inviting us to trust Him even when our nets feel empty. Through Peter's story, we're reminded that obedience comes before understanding, and that faithful surrender positions us to experience God's work in ways we could never accomplish on our own. Ultimately, the greatest miracle isn't what Jesus puts in our hands, but that we come to know Him more deeply, discovering that His presence is greater than any blessing He gives.
Through Gideon's story, we see that peace isn't found in the absence of hardship, but in the presence of God. Even when fear, disappointment, and difficult circumstances cause us to shrink back and question whether God is near, He continues to call us according to His purpose rather than our present condition. Jehovah Shalom reminds us that peace is not simply an outcome we hope for—it is found in Jesus, whose presence gives us confidence to move forward before our circumstances ever change.
The battles that threaten our faith rarely begin as giants—they often start as small compromises, unchecked habits, or areas of weakness that grow over time. Through David’s encounter with Goliath, we were reminded that victory comes when we lift our eyes beyond the problem and fix them on Jehovah Sabaoth, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, who fights for His people. Worship helps us see God rightly, putting our struggles in perspective and reminding us that Jesus, the greater David, has already defeated the ultimate giant of sin on our behalf.
When life brings uncertainty, it’s easy to focus on our circumstances and forget the faithfulness of God. In this message, we’ll explore how remembering who God is, what He has done, and how He has worked in our lives strengthens our faith and shapes our future.
This teaching explores the Name of God: Jehovah Rapha - The God who heals. We learn that God is a healer from the beginning in the Old Testament, from Genesis and ongoing - our God's heart is to heal. Then, in the New Testament, God was a healer through his Son Jesus. When Jesus went to heaven and left the Holy Spirit to those who believe, He became a healer through His Church.
This week’s teaching explored Jehovah Jireh, “The Lord Will Provide,” through Abraham’s willingness to trust God even when he couldn’t see the outcome. We were reminded that God often tests what we treasure most, not to harm us, but to reveal whether He truly holds first place in our hearts. Just as God provided a substitute for Isaac, He ultimately provided Jesus to meet our greatest need—forgiveness and reconciliation with Him—giving us confidence to trust Him with every other need we face.
This week’s teaching focused on El Shaddai, the God who is more than enough, revealing His power most clearly in places of weakness, waiting, and impossibility. Through the stories of Abraham, Job, and ultimately Jesus, we’re reminded that God is both the unshakable mountain who overcomes every power and the tender Father who sustains and cares for His people. El Shaddai invites us to stop carrying life in our own strength and instead surrender fully to the God who is enough for every fear, failure, disappointment, and need.
This week’s teaching explored the name Elohim, revealing God as the sovereign Creator who rules over all things, speaks with limitless power, and is perfectly good. Through Genesis 1, we’re reminded that life was never meant to be lived independently from God, because the same Elohim who created the world also invites us into relationship with Him. Rather than carrying fear, pressure, pain, or striving alone, we’re called to rely on His strength, rest in His goodness, and draw near to Him through Jesus.
(Jehovah Ra'ah) - In this opening week of Names of God, we focus on Jehovah-Ra'ah, the Lord our Shepherd, who brings peace not by removing pressure, but by walking with us through it. Through Psalm 23, we’re reminded that God refreshes weary souls, stays close in dark valleys, and brings blessing even in the middle of opposition. Ultimately, our greatest need isn’t what God gives, but His presence, and true peace is found in staying close to the Shepherd.
Our identity is constantly being shaped, either by the truth of God or the pressures around us. And when our thinking is distorted, it hardens our hearts and leads us away from who we’re meant to be. But in Christ, we’re invited to put off the old self and step into a completely new identity, one rooted in truth, transformed thinking, and a renewed way of living. When that identity takes hold, it doesn’t just change what we believe—it reshapes our desires, our actions, and the entire direction of our lives.
Because of the resurrection, those who are in Christ are promised a complete transformation—trading broken, temporary bodies for ones that are eternal, powerful, and fully aligned with God. This future isn’t just something to look forward to; it’s meant to shape how we live right now, giving us boldness, stability, and purpose in a world that constantly shifts.
In 1 Corinthians 15:21–28, Paul lays out the entire story of humanity in four movements: creation and the fall, the first coming of Jesus, His return, and the final restoration of all things. While sin and death entered through Adam, new life is made possible through Jesus. This isn’t just a future hope, it’s a present reality. In Christ, we’re given a new identity, a secure future, and a role to play right now as God works through His church to push back darkness. And no matter what we face today, we can live with confidence because we already know how the story ends.
In a culture that constantly challenges truth, followers of Jesus are called to stand firmly on the gospel—the life, death, and resurrection of Christ—as the unshakable foundation of faith. This gospel is not only historically true, it is transformational, giving us a new identity and producing a life marked by gratitude, obedience, and wholehearted devotion. To stand your ground means holding tightly to this truth in every area of life, letting the gospel shape how you think, live, and respond no matter what the world says.
The empty tomb invites every person to wrestle with one defining question: will you approach Jesus with disinterest or with a heart that is truly seeking Him? Those who seek Him don’t just hear about the resurrection—they experience it, receiving revelation, unshakable joy, a personal encounter with Jesus, and a renewed sense of purpose. Because Jesus is alive, everything changes, and the invitation is to respond not casually, but with a life transformed by His victory.
Jesus didn’t run from suffering. He walked straight toward it. At the cross, He willingly took the full weight of sin, drinking the cup of God’s justice so we wouldn’t have to. What looked like defeat was actually victory, because through His sacrifice, we’re offered forgiveness, freedom, and a way back to God.
As Jesus entered Jerusalem, He revealed both His identity as King and His heart as a humble servant, calling for a response that no one can ignore. We don’t get to pick and choose which version of Jesus we want—He is not only Savior and friend, but King. True faith means surrendering every area of life to His authority. The question is urgent and personal: will you crown Him now in humility, or reject Him and face Him later as Judge?
Church gatherings are meant to be more than routine—they are moments where God speaks, building up believers and drawing unbelievers to Himself. When Spirit-led truth is shared, it brings conviction, encouragement, and clarity in a way only God can, revealing that He is truly among us. The right response to hearing from God is worship, as lives transformed by His voice can’t help but turn back to Him in surrender and praise.
Spiritual gifts may be impressive, but without love they ultimately accomplish nothing. God is not measuring our lives by how gifted, visible, or successful we appear, but by whether our lives reflect the sacrificial love of Christ. Long after gifts fade and achievements pass away, love is the one thing that remains and reveals true spiritual maturity.
The church was meant to reflect Christ, but when division, comparison, or insecurity take root, it begins to mirror the culture around it instead. Scripture reminds us that every believer has been intentionally placed in the body by God—no role is insignificant, and no one possesses everything needed alone. As each member embraces their identity, value, and purpose, the church can function as one body where everyone belongs, builds others up, and reveals Jesus to the world through unity.
Every follower of Jesus has been given spiritual gifts to build others up. The Spirit not only distributes these gifts but empowers them, calling us to step out in faith, serve boldly, and rely on prayer so that God is the one at work. When our gifts are exercised rightly, they don’t draw attention to us—they lift up Jesus, because neglect is never neutral and faithfulness always points to Him.
When the church becomes centered on personal preference instead of Christlike sacrifice, it loses the very heart it was meant to display. Communion reminds us that Jesus gave Himself fully for His people, and gathering as His body should reflect that same humility, unity, and care for one another. The invitation is simple but searching: what is one way you can live out Jesus’ heart of love and sacrifice for His church?
Blessing carries responsibility, and without intentional obedience it can quietly turn our hearts away from the One who gave it. Real freedom is discovered not in endless choices, but in choosing what leads us toward life and faithfulness. Instead of testing the limits of sin, we’re invited to pursue closeness with Jesus and walk in holiness.
Freedom always comes with choices. Every yes inevitably means a no to something else. A person shaped by Jesus learns to say no to self in the present, not as loss, but as a delayed yes that for the sake of the gospel and eternal reward. The real question isn’t what we’re free to do, but whether our understanding of eternity is strong enough to reshape how we live right now.
Jesus offers real freedom from sin, shame, and fear, but Scripture teaches that freedom must be stewarded with love and wisdom. In 1 Corinthians 8, we see that Christian freedom is not just about what is permissible for us, but about how our choices affect and build up others in the faith. True freedom finds its focus when knowledge is guided by love, so our lives don’t simply gratify ourselves but actively strengthen the people God has placed around us.
Hearing God’s voice isn’t reserved for dramatic moments or audible experiences—it’s something God desires for everyday life. We learn to recognize His voice by intentionally making time with Him, listening through His Word, and responding to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As we grow in faith and obedience, God shapes our decisions, directs our steps, and invites us into a life led by His truth rather than our instincts.
Breakthrough prayer flows from a heart that approaches God with reverence, surrender, and obedience. Scripture teaches that prayers gain power when we deal honestly with sin and align our lives with God’s will, allowing nothing to block our communion with Him. As we commit to praying constantly, instead of occasionally or reactively, we stay connected to God’s power and position ourselves to see Him move in ways that transform our lives and advance His purposes.
Jesus willingly lived without a place to call home so that we could find lasting riches in Him. Though He became poor, forsaken, and fully devoted to the Father, His sacrifice invites us into a richer way of life marked by intimacy with God, compassion for others, and awakened devotion. In a world chasing comfort and security, Jesus shows us that true home is found in belonging to Him.
Singleness isn’t a problem to solve or a season to rush through—it’s a greenhouse for unique growth and faithfulness to God. Learning to walk faithfully with Him now prepares us to remain faithful in every future season, including marriage. Thriving in singleness isn’t about finding the right person, but about resting in the all-sufficiency of God.
In this powerful teaching from our Trigger Warning series, Pastor Brian dives into one of the most honest and transformative passages in Scripture — 1 Corinthians 7. We’re talking about sex, marriage, temptation, divorce, spiritual warfare, and God’s design for intimacy.
How we handle conflict reveals whether Jesus is truly shaping us—and becomes either our strongest witness or our deepest contradiction. When Christians tolerate sin, escalate conflict, or take their grievances into the world instead of working them out biblically, the whole church loses fullness in Christ and credibility with the community. Because we’ve been washed, sanctified, and justified, we’re called to deal with sin and conflict in a way that reflects who we really are in Jesus.
Paul calls the church in Corinth—and us—to reject a distorted version of grace that quietly tolerates sin rather than lovingly confronting it. Sin always destroys something, and when a church refuses to address it, the whole community suffers. True love calls people back to Jesus, because only repentance restores witness and hope.
God is looking for people who will think like servants and live like stewards—those who see everything they have as entrusted to them for His Kingdom. A multiplier mindset isn’t about status or success; it’s about humility, hard work, and sacrifice for the sake of Jesus. When we live with this kind of mindset, our lives will not make sense apart from the reality of heaven.
God invites us to join Him in building His Kingdom—a work that lasts forever. Each of us has a unique lane to run in, a task assigned by God, and our job is to be faithful in it rather than imitating someone else’s calling. When we build our lives on, with, and for Jesus, we receive not temporary applause, but eternal reward and the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
God doesn’t just save us from something—He saves us for something. Every believer is called to live on mission, using the blessings we’ve received to be a blessing to the world and help others know Jesus. When we trade self-focused living for God’s global purpose, we find the joy, meaning, and story our hearts were made for.
We’re called to live differently, helping others discover their best life in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. True spiritual influence doesn’t come from eloquence or strategy—it comes from pointing people to Jesus, the source of abundant life. As we rely less on our own wisdom and more on God’s power, we become thermostats that set culture rather than thermometers that reflect it.
The way of Jesus runs opposite to the world’s pursuit of power and status—it’s a road of humility and surrender. Just as Christ lowered Himself in obedience and was later exalted, we’re called to follow the same path, trusting that the valley leads to victory. In a culture that prizes pride and self-promotion, choosing the low road is what makes us truly different.
Our true identity isn’t something we create—it’s a calling we receive from God. We’re set apart for His extraordinary purposes and find our identity not as isolated individuals, but together as His holy people, the Church.
True reverence for God leads us to rescue others—by sharing our faith, living faithfully to Jesus’ commands, and lovingly challenging one another—so that when we stand before Him, we’ll be found faithful.
Don’t waste your life—live in light of your eternal inheritance. With reverence for the cost of Christ’s sacrifice, invest in what truly lasts through holy living, kingdom work, and a life aimed at the finish when Jesus returns.
In a culture that’s made God feel small and familiar, we’re repositioning ourselves to live in the reverence of God's glory. This allows our hearts to be refreshed for deeper worship, greater holiness, and bold obedience.
Every voice can to lead you somewhere, but not every voice will lead you to life. How do we posture ourselves to listen to the one and only voice that matter's most? The most important voice is that of our Creator; the God of all things, who calls to us over and over. But are we truly listening?

"Humans were designed to be defined by a voice outside of themselves" Jerrell Jobe reminded us that the voices that we give access and attention to will have authority in our lives. Are we allowing the words of the Bible to lead us, or the words of this world?

Instead, because of his love for us he meets us right where we are in the midst of them. Pastor Brian leads us through the importance of waiting on God and being patient during delayed answers in this week's message in our series.

When people have unshakeable faith they can do more than they ever thought imaginable, because it activates the power of God for the impossible. Biblical faith is both grounded in truth on the basis of evidence as well as having a deep personal relationship with Jesus. Biblical faith is also being expectant of the promises that God has laid out for us in his word. But - it doesn't end there, in order for our faith to be real, we need to be active in living out that faith. Pastor Brian explains in his teaching what all of this means and how we can truly activate our faith.

He reminded us that life's boat will bring us through many trials and hardships, but if we allow Jesus to join us in our boat, He will bring us the security and peace we need to make it through even the most difficult storms.
In week 3 of our Wonder on the Water series Pastor Roger gives us hope that Jesus can set us free from whatever it is in our lives that may be causing us to be stuck, whether that be addiction, lack of forgiveness, or even self-pity. He showed us that salvation is so much more than we normally think of it, it has 4 aspects to it - it can be physical, experiential, communal, and individual.

He was the kind of person unchurched people loved and wanted to be around. He was kind and gracious. He asked good questions and didn’t put off judgmental vibes. They could tell he really cared about them and wanted the best for them. Lost people loved hanging out with Jesus. We were challenged to make space in our lives for these kinds of relationships and to love people just as Jesus did.
In Week 2 of our Life of the Party series, Pastor Anthony shows us how important parties are to Jesus and how prevalent they are in the Bible. When we step into a full life in Christ and reflect His glory we become the Life of the Party!
In the first week of our Life of the Party series, Pastor Brian encouraged us that the "New Wine" Jesus brought through his death, life, and resurrection is not simply giving us a better or improved version of our old self, but he offers us something entirely new - a life filled with the Holy Spirit and promise of eternity with Him.
In the final teaching of our Savage Series, Jordan reminds us that the most Savage thing Jesus has done for us was to be the ultimate sacrifice. He gave His life for us without expectation of receiving anything in return, all the while we were rejecting, insulting, and hating him. We are challenged to be sacrificial in our own lives asking ourselves "What is Jesus asking us to give up for another's gain?"
On Sunday, Pastor Anthony reminded us that Jesus is more than just our Savage Savior. When he returns he will come back as the Savage Judge, powerful in his defense of those committed to Him, and yet true to the promise that he will also bring justice and judgment for those that rejected Him.
In the 5th week of our Savage series Pastor Brian spoke on how Jesus brought a savage power even over nature. He walked on water, turned 5 loaves and 2 fish into food for thousands, and calmed a raging storm by telling it to be still. We should stand in awe of his dominion over creation and praise Him for his power in our lives to bring us peace, calm our fears, and to be bold in our prayers every single day.
Pastor Edgar challenged us to live a life of passion surrendered to the truth of God's love. He spoke on how being consumed by the pitfalls of Dead Religion can cause us to be "church smart" all the while becoming "Jesus Stupid". When we are too focused on appearances and the rules, we compromise the truth, but when we commit to an authentic walk with Him, we can then live with an eternal perspective and experience what matters most.
On Sunday Pastor Brian brought a convicting message reminding us that our ultimate and primary loyalty in this life should be to Jesus. Jesus demands our loyalty out of his worthiness, but He also rewards our loyalty with the promise of an incredible life on the other side of the grave because of his grace.
In week 2 of our Savage Series Pastor Roger took us through the how Jesus has the authority to heal and forgive so that you can experience a holistic transformation.
This teaching explores the savageness of Jesus and how he fights evil and the devil. The series is designed to counter the common perception of Jesus as a soft and gentle figure by showcasing his fierce and aggressive nature. Each week, a different dimension of Jesus' savageness is examined from the Gospel of Matthew. To appreciate how Savage Jesus deals with evil, the sermon begins by sharing three truths about the devil and his operations. The devil's primary goal is to destroy people, the very thing that God loves most. The sermon then explores four common ways the devil traps people: stealing God's truth, encouraging hurt or sin to divide relationships, urging people to let their emotions control their lives, and promoting a deception. Overall, the teaching emphasizes the importance of understanding the devil's schemes and the need to put on the whole armor of God to stand against them.
