This is part two of my conversation with Bill Salus on the topics of prophecy, the Middle East, and Israel.
Israel is God’s timepiece, that much is clear from the Scripture. Some, however, refuse to see the prophecies yet to be fulfilled concerning Israel, as proof that God is finished with His people. Friends, listen to me – the church is not Israel! The church is not now nor ever has been the recipient of God’s promises to Israel. The Abrahamic, as well as the Davidic Covenants, have a yet future fulfillment.
Because some people refuse to see that God is not done with Israel, they are confused about the Middle East turmoil, the supernatural intrigue, which continues unabated to this very day. What can we learn about the present, and what many believe to be the near future concerning Israel, Iran, Syria, and even Russia? We will sort all of this out today with my guest Bill Salus, in this episode of SER.

When President Trump authorized and then followed through on his promise to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem, most of the world’s nations shrieked in feigned horror at the thought of a sovereign nation desiring to have their diplomatic stations located in her capital.
As hard as the world powers try, they are never able to overcome the Jewish nation. Surrounded by sworn enemies on every side, the nation of Israel continues to thrive in a world that increasingly denounces her.
What must Christians do in times such as these? What does the Bible say about the nation of Israel and those who support and oppose her? Does Israel matter today to God?

Is Yeshua the Jewish Messiah? From his book of the same name Eric Chabot writes:
There is no doubt that many Christians are fully convinced that Yeshua is the Savior of the world, and millions of evangelistic appeals are given each year for people to accept Him as personal savior. Yet many believers don’t comprehend all that’s involved in accepting Yeshua as the promised Messiah of Israel and the nations. Scholar Michael Bird explains further:
The statement that Jesus is the Messiah presupposes a certain way of reading Israel’s Scriptures and assumes a certain hermeneutical approach that finds in Jesus the unifying thread and the supreme goal of Israel’s sacred literature. A messiah can only be a messiah from Israel and for Israel. The story of the Messiah can only be understood as part of the story of Israel. Paul arguably says as much to a largely Gentile audience in Rome: “For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the circumcised on behalf of the truth of God in order that he might confirm the promises given to the patriarchs, and in order that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy” (Romans 15:8-9).

What is often not reported on is the underlying new age spirituality that permeates most of these global organizations. Many Christians rightly question these movements and their beliefs about the future of mankind. Unfortunately large numbers of Christians are joining forces with the globalists who are attempting to create a utopia right here on earth.

The disciples were sent with the commission the Church has carried for the last two thousand years. In the gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, it is represented missionally, but John captures it relationally: “As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”
This is our call. This is our charge. To be the visible image of the invisible Jesus. To be able to say, “If you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Lord.” It is a calling none of us lives out perfectly, but it is what we are called to nonetheless. Jesus came not only to provide a new identity and to reclaim this world from the devil, but also to give us a clear picture of what the original design looks like. He is the picture of what we were always meant to be and what we truly are in Him.

Culture is not an amorphous, unguided process of chance and time. Culture is instead a deliberately and consciously shaped context. The longest prophecy in the NT is Revelation chapters 17-18. This prophecy has also received the most wide-spread commentary and analysis than any other. Opinions vary as to the identification of the Great Harlot and the meaning of the beast she rides but one thing is clear: the Scriptures present this prophecy within a context of a literal city.
Is this city Rome, Babylon, Jerusalem, or perhaps New York City? There are arguments for each. Leftists in America have taken over our educational system and as a result of this takeover, have facilitated the introduction and spread of Political Islam as a religion of peace.
