New Year, Same Us! We had so much fun with the year in review pod that we assembled the whole gang again to preview the golf year that will be in 2023.

We start with big announcements off the jump before getting steep on 2023 predictions sure to be wrong: who will finish world #1? Who will be the breakout start of '23? Who needs a bounce back? Big 12 Championship talk. And, of course, who wins all four men's majors!

The talk then turns introspective as the guys review their 2022 goals before setting some BHAGs for 2023.

2022 is a year the golf world won't soon forget! They then dive into a rapid fire discussion including which player surprised us this year, best shot they each saw and a best/worst thing they saw in a pro shop before giving LIV Golf a little airtime.

The pod turns sentimental in discussing each of their golf highlights for 2022 and then what new happenings came into each of their golf lives this year.

They round things out with a "Stump the Mish" segment that will not soon be forgotten!

ScottyG and JT takeover the podcast this week to go deep into seventh rendition of "The Match" series. With the results being a bit of a romp (JT & Spieth winning 3&2) the boys focus most of their time on the fun side of the event including suped up golf carts, Coors Light consumption by JT (Justin Thomas, that is) and dial up some takes on Rory being blah. Between best carts, best/worst shots and best one liners, the guys hit some superlatives before ranking which of the four they'd most like to hang with...

After The Match talk, the guys explain the 4coursemen Golf League that has been teased on the pod in prior weeks. Mostly to stroke JT's ego but also give everyone the secret to making an eagle.

Happy Halloween folks, and it's absolutely "scary" at just how short this podcast is as the guys all have trick-or-treating duties this evening!!!  They kick things out with a hearty congratulations to a pod favorite, Seamus "See-muss" Power who wins for the 2nd time on Tour down in Bermuda!  The guys then jump over to the LIV golf finale down at Doral in Miami, as DJ appears to be the big winner in the inaugural season of the rebel tour.  But the boys ask, has LIV shot its shot already?  What's next in year 2?  Do we still (or did we ever) care??  There's a new #1 on the LPGA Tour, the Sooners say mahalo to Maui, and the guys give some tips/talk up fall/winter golf in Oklahoma (it's really enjoyable)!  Lastly, Keith and Scott recap their recent golf trips to Hawaii/Las Vegas, and then the boys make their picks for the Mayakoba this weekend down in Mexico!  All this, and not much more honestly, on this week's abbreviated--but spooky--YSO podcast!!!

UK correspondent Hannah Screen joins the pod with Scooter and Keith off exploring the golf world. Rory McIlroy re-ascends to world #1 with his victory at the CJ Cup. Congaree Golf Club showed out as did 15 of the top 20 in the world. Another world #1 spot was up for grabs in Korea at the BMW Ladies Championship. 19 year old phenom Atthaya Thitikul just missed the T-4 or better needed to become the top ranked women's player in the world when our girl Lydia Ko dropped 65 on Sunday to win her 18th LPGA title. We then take a deep dive into college golf covering last week's Big 12 Men's Match Play and the (VERY) recently concluded Jim West Challenge. At tail end of the pod, we talk about Hannah's reverse course to make a go of it in professional golf!

The guys are back in studio to talk some golf and there's lots of "Fairway Files" on this week's episode!  JT starts things off with a recap from the "405 Classic," benefitting friends of the pod Betsy King and Kendall Dye's Golf Fore Africa as the YSO pod was serving as a sponsor!  Next, the boys chop it up about Keeg's big win at the ZOZO in Japan, and make picks on whether Rickie Fowler or Vik Hovland win next on Tour.  There's a little LIV talk (congrats, Brooksie), a Freddie Couples sighting, and a brief mention of the Masters (the Andalucian variety, not the Augustan).... We talk Big 12 Match Play down in Hockley, TX and try and figure out the pool play format but a big chunk of this pod is tootin' our own horns, as Scooter talks lifting the MGA Cup at the Greens, JT gets reinvigorated (yikes) for golf at Dornick with his new role on the Maxwell Society, and Keith says "aloha" to the studio as he's getting ready to board a plane and head to Hawaii to play golf for the next 10 days on the islands!  And oh yeah, the CJ Cup at Congaree with a loaded field as well!  All that and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!!

The boys are all back together in "Studio 1A" to talk some golf! Things get kicked off by recapping some links golf across the pond at the Dunhill and how Ryan Fox survived some tough conditties on Friday and held off Rory, Alex Noren and a robust Euro field! Next, the guys discussed the victory by everyone's favorite Canadian, Mac Hughes, down at the Sanderson this weekend in Jackson, MS! And later on, the guys checked in on some big-time college golf being played in the DFW area this week, as Wichita State was at Trinity Forest, while the OU and OSU men were in a star-studded, jacked field at Colonial and the Ben Hogan Invitational! But this pod was mainly about the Congregation, and the YSO family came out big winners as our man, Scotty G, slipped on his first green jacket in Woodward at one of our favorite places, Boiling Springs! The boys talk through the whole weekend, including some night golf, great food, and all the superlatives of yet another fantastic Congregation tourney! Tons of thanks to Jeff Wagner and the BSGC crew for rolling out the red carpet yet again, as the only thing better than the course conditions were the people involved! We're already looking forward to next year's Cong, just like always! All that, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!!

Back in the saddle, or studio, should we say, as the guys kick off the official/unofficial start of Season 3 with a recap of the official/unofficial start to the new PGA season by discussing Max Homa's improbable win at the Fortinet Championship out in Napa!  The "golf gods" giveth, and then taketh away for Englishman Danny Willett, while the "local boys" do some good as well.  Maja Stark makes a run on her first official/unofficial LPGA start stateside, but it's former Stanford star Andrea Lee breaking through for her first LPGA win up in Portland.  Keith and J-Teal (with Scott's call-in help) talk some LIV tour action with new "golden boy" Cam Smith getting the win and the guys ask why "Mr. Norman is going to Washington."  We see the return of college golf, with the OSU and OU men getting their fall season's started, but the back half of this pod is dedicated to the President's Cup, as the guys break down formats, rosters, pairings and the (boring) course at Quail Hollow.  All that, and so much more this episode of the YSO podcast!!

It's all about that L-I-V on this week's pod, as the guys are back in studio to discuss all the week's crazy news--and there was plenty--in the world of golf!  Of course, the guys start with LIV Golf and its opening event at Centurion across the pond this weekend.  It gets "heated", as the LIV tour has certainly divided opinions across the entire golf world, and the YSO boys are no different!  Next, the guys talk about Minjee Lee's big win in North Carolina for the women's US Open, while pod favorite, Billy "William Ho" Horschel, wins Jack's tourney at the Memorial at Muirfield.  The guys recap the NCAA Golf Championships and (begrudgingly) congratulate the Texas Longhorns on their big win, while the guys also recap the tons of individual awards the Sooners and Cowboys brought in for the 2021-2022 season.  Lastly, the boys make their picks/previews for the RBC Canadian Open, shout out the Korn Ferry Tour, and recap some local events from the "Fairway Files"...  All that, and so much more on this "spicy" edition of the YSO podcast!!!!

The guys are "zooming" on this episode, so forgive us for the "lags" on this one (thanks to J-Teal's crappy internet speeds...)!  Keith is out in Scottsdale, AZ for the NCAA Championship, and the final cut day didn't lack for drama!  OU and OSU both "limp" into the match play portion as the #2 and #5 seeds, respectively, while OSU's Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra found himself in a playoff for the individual championship honors after OU's Chris Gotterup missed out by one stroke (spoiler alert: congrats to Vanderbilt's Gordon Sargent)... The Sooners will take on host school Arizona State, while the Pokes will take on a familiar foe in the red-hot Texas Longhorns, and another Big 12 school, Texas Tech, is also in the mix!!  The guys recap an eventful--and windy--Sunday at the Colonial, and then also preview and make picks for Jack's tourney, the Memorial this weekend!  This one is a little chaotic, but it's still a lot of fun, so come join us on this latest episode of the YSO podcast!!

The guys are "live" at Chalk to preview the 2022 PGA Championship up at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma!  But first, the guys break down the "sexiest golfer alive" (K.H. Lee, for the uninitiated) and his back-to-back victory down at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas!  J-Teal had his boots on the ground down in Norman at "the Jimmie" to watch the Sooners take a day one lead at their NCAA Regional, and we also check in on the Pokes who are leading things up in Columbus, Ohio in their regional. But this episode is all about the PGA Championship and the showcase that will be Southern Hills!  We go through the course layout, the do's and don'ts for first timers, we check in with our man Loaf for a weather forecast, and of course, we make our picks for winners, losers and everything in between!  We're on the verge of "mega-pod" status for this one, so tune in, and go enjoy the walk!!

There's some Mexico Open talk with Jon Rahm back in the winner's circle, as well as a quick preview of this weekend's Wells Fargo Championship, and J-Teal's favorite defending champion, Rory McIlroy!!  Plus don't forget about the second installment of the guys' new "Miles of Maxwell" series dropping this Wednesday (5/4/2022), which highlights Hillcrest Country Club in Bartlesville, Oklahoma!  All that, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!!

Welcome to yet another episode of the "bell horse of the ball" of golf podcasts! All three amigos are back in studio this week and we're really (no, really) excited about the "other" Mexico Open this weekend! But first, J-Teal gives one last "tease" of the guys' upcoming mini-pod series titled "Miles of Maxwell" as the first episode drops this week (4/27/2022)! The guys then recap the Zurich where alligators--fittingly enough--were prominently displayed down in SEC country, but it was two California kids hoisting the trophy on Sunday as Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele held off the duo of Billy Horschel and Sam Burns. The guys then talk up the Big 12 Women's Golf Championship from the weekend down at Houston Oaks which, fittingly enough, is not in the city of Houston (suburb of Hockley, TX). It was the lady Longhorns who won the team title over Baylor and OSU (T2), but it was the Cowgirls' Lianna Bailey who earned top medalist with a score of +2 in tough conditions all weekend long! The men got started today at Whispering Pines in nearby (relatively) Trinity, TX, but play was called due to stormy weather so they'll have to jam in more golf over the remaining two days of the event! The guys then talk up DJ and Paulina's wedding (finally!), the "Shark", Steph Curry, and plenty of "Fairway Files" from the past week's play. All that, plus picks for the Mexico Open, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!

Keith and J-Teal are back in studio to break down all the week's golf action, including Jordan Spieth's playoff win (PLAYOFFS?!?!?!) over Pat Cantlay at Harbour Town! But to kick things off, J-Teal provides a little teaser of the YSO's upcoming pod mini-series titled "Miles of Maxwell", where the guys interview some golf dignitaries at some of Mr. Maxwell's most iconic course across Oklahoma! Next, the guys breakdown Spieth's win, despite his awful putting; Shane Lowry's "wet" chip; and ol' Tommy-lad putting together a solid weekend for the first time in a while... After that, it's all about college golf where the guys recap the Western Intercollegiate at J-Teal's favorite place, Pasatiempo, and the Sooners' big win in the desert at Papago, a record-tying 5th tourney victory for Coach Hybl's squad!  The guys then get into the "Fairway Files", and we check in with a Supercell "major" champion winner, an epic fourball slugfest at Lincoln West, as well a terrific charity event at Oak Tree earlier in the day.  And lastly, of course, the guys make their picks for the "fun format" Zurich Championship down in Nawlins this weekend!  All that, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!

It's all about Scottie on this one, as Keith and J-Teal are in studio to break down the 2022 Masters and everything that transpired this weekend!  Rory comes alive on Sunday, Cam Smith falls apart, Tiger makes the cut, while several big names did not! The guys recap all the big events from a stellar-yet-not-all-too-dramatic "second nine" at Augusta National on Sunday... Early on in the pod, Scott "Scooter" Gurss calls in "live" from Pinehurst No. 2 as he and Chad "2G" Ford of Chalk fame made a big trip out to North Carolina this week! J-Teal apologizes to Scottie Scheffler no less than a dozen times after "fading" him on last week's preview pod, while the guys play a round of "I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed...", Masters-style... The guys sprinkle a little love on the Fairway Files to the Supercell's 1st "major" of the year, and Keith & J-Teal recap a fine round at the Greens for DSACO's annual golf tourney/fundraiser.  Lastly, the boys talk a little women's college golf, they preview the last "regular season" tourney including some Bedlam golf on the men's side, and then they make their picks for a sneaky good field at the RBC Heritage coming up this weekend!  All that, and so much more Masters talk on this week's YSO podcast!!!

We dive into some obscure Masters facts and Scooter tries to "Stump the Mish" but with cold beverages on the line for the audience. Get excited folks, IT'S MASTERS WEEK!

It's the first major championship week of the year (no, not that one) as the ladies take center stage this week on the YSO podcast! But first, the guys recap the WGC Match Play and Scottie's Scheffler's meteoric rise to the World's #1 ranking at the ripe old age of just 25 (although he looks 45). The guys show some love to the pesky/feisty Kevin Kisner who seems to always show out at the ACC, as well as Scott's excellent dark horse pick of the week--albeit at his 2nd attempt--in Canadian, Corey Conners (PHIL?!, PHIL CONNERS?!?!?) After that, the guys take a dive into "Poppie's Pond" to talk about the Chevron Championship and whether anyone but JYK can actually win this thing (they can) and who might challenge her (someone else whose name starts with a "K"). The guys then talk all about the Augusta National Women's Amateur and spotlight a few of the world's best amateur women, including a few with local ties (Let's go Rina Tatematsu!). And lastly, JT calls it in for his picks on the Valero Texas Open, while openly poo-pooing most of Keith and Scott's picks for the golfers down in San Antone! All that, a few slaps, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!!

And don't forget about "Major Monday", next week at Chalk Luxury Sports Bar, where we'll be doing a "live" remote of the podcast from 4:00pm to 6:00pm! Come and say hello and pick a golfer out of the hopper to win some awesome prizes!!

It's bracket season people, and the YSO podcast is ready as the guys make their "Cinderella" picks (sort of, Scott), final foursomes and so much more on this action-packed episode! First though, the guys recap some "Bedlam Golf" action as both the OSU and OU squads faced off against each other in some desert golf action this past weekend! OSU came out on top in the Bedlam portion of things, while the OSU men took home the trophy in an absolute boat-race in the N.I.T. out in Tucson with a record-breaking score of -53!!! Eugenio kept his spring hot streak going as well, as he took home top medalist honors! The OSU women finished 3rd in the Mountain View Collegiate, just edging out the Sooner ladies who finished in 4th... The guys then recapped the Valspar as JT "Debbie Downer-ed" the whole event, despite Sam Burns dramatic win on the 2nd playoff (PLAYOFFS?!?!?) hole over Davis Riley and his smooth swing... But a lot of time is dedicated to the WGC Match Play event this week down in Austin, Texas, and given it is "bracket season", the guys make their picks and predictions for each of the 16 four-man groups! Can Billy Ho repeat? (no) Can Scottie Scheffler get out of the English "group of death"? (probably) And how will Bryson look in his first event back after a long layoff?? (big?) The guys tackle all of those questions, plus so much more on this week's episode of the YSO podcast!!!

The clocks moved forward an hour, the golf moved forward a day, our pets' heads are falling off and this YSO episode is complete chaos as the boys jump back to the studio after an all-day excursion to Chalk to take a deep dive into The Players Championship and Cam Smith's big win!  It was mainly about the weather early on in the pod discussion, as Mother Nature did a number on some of the best players in the world which had some golfers questioning the "playability" on Saturday, especially on the famous (infamous) 17th there at Sawgrass.  The guys discuss Vik's poor chipping, Paul Casey's incredibly unlucky break, and DJ's back-door top 10 and record-tying round on Monday.  The guys also quickly pop in on the LPGA while in Thailand, some college golf with the OSU Cowboys, and a little local golf on the "Fairway Files" where JT toots his own horn (shocker).  All that, and so much more on this special TPC recap discussion on the YSO podcast!!

The guys are back in studio to break down all the golf talk worthy of mentioning this week! They start things off with a promo for "Major Mondays" coming next month at Chalk, but then jump right into the Arnold Palmer Invitational recap where Bay Hill was an absolute monster for the players on Sunday! Scott(ie) Scheffler was the "last man standing" and won his 2nd PGA tour event of the young season (and ever), while some major stalwarts faded hard on the final day and were left battered and bruised by Mr. Palmer's event! The guys show some love to the ever-dominant, yet often-not-discussed JYK as she continues to lap the field on the LPGA tour, and then they jump into some college golf, with a lot of discussion focused on the OSU Cowgirls, who lost a second superstar to the transfer portal last week in Mexico's Isabella Fierro. The OU men get their due as they win their 3rd event in a row, and get their 2nd medalist in a row, in Patrick Welch, out in Vegas last week! And speaking OU men, how 'bout Chris Gotterup down in Puerto Rico (again), and former Sooner Max McGreevy showing out as well! But of course, the "meat and potatoes" of this pod is the TPC this week, and the inevitable discussion of whether it is the official/unofficial "fifth major". The guys break down Sawgrass, go over the field (stacked, as expected) and make their picks/predictions on what is going to happen down in Ponte Vedra this weekend, where the weather is going to be "spicy", as J-Teal would put it. All that, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!

The three amigos are all back together in studio this week for an action-packed YSO pod with heated debates, hot takes, and even hotter golf picks! First things first, the guys start by giving away some free stuff, as a big congrats goes out to friend of the pod, @dstock01, for winning the month of February's PXG gear giveaway! The guys then jump right into the Honda "Flaccid", er, um, "Classic", as they give props to Sepp Straka--another first-time winner--but poo-poo the rest of the tourney in pretty much every way possible. The guys then jump into a spirited debate over the "demise" of Phil Mickelson, why he's getting "canceled", whether he should be, and where the SGL goes from here (if anywhere at all)... The guys show some love to the OSU and OU men's golf squads, which both were leading their respective team events in Cabo and Las Vegas at the time of taping, respectively. J-Teal and Scooter throw out some local knowledge for "weekend warrior" events in the Fairway Files, and lastly the guys make their picks for this weekend's Arnold Palmer Invitational down at Bay Hill.  All that, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!!

The guys are back in studio, sans J-Teal who is on yet another vacation to "parts unknown", but Keith and Scott hold down the fort and talk about all the week's golf stories!  The biggest story has to be young Joaquin Niemann, who posted a record-breaking, wire-to-wire win at ol' Riviera to take home Tiger's tourney, the Genesis Invitational! And speaking of the "Big Cat", the guys talk a little bit about why the golf world--and world in general--still needs El Tigre', but the "hot takes" segment of this week's pod is all about Rory flaming Phil and the apparent collapse of the new Saudi "Super League", as Bryson, DJ and others come out with statements to confirm their love for all things PGA... The guys talk OU/OSU college golf as well, and then jump to the Honda Classic preview, where Keith and Scott make their picks/predictions for this week's event down in Florida, as the "West Coast Swing" comes to an end. All that, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!!

But the big story here is the Sweetens Cove trip, how the guys are enjoying southeast Tennessee, and who is going to take home the "YSO trophy" for the trip!  All that and so much more on this week's YSO pod!

OMG!! The YSO pod will never be the same, as the guys add a "third musketeer", full-time, for reals, as Scott "Scooter" Gurss is formally unveiled as the new member of the YSO podcast! The guys start off with some opinions on the new "Super League" of golf--or whatever it's called--and ask the inevitable of question of "would you, for a $135 million?" (Keith would; hard) The guys then move on to a recap of Pebble Beach, and they're all super excited about Tom Hoge (it's pronounced "Ho-gee") and his 1st PGA tour victory. The question of whether Jordan Spieth has a death-wish or not comes up, and Keith and Jason Day are "working on things" right now... The guys then talk a little HV3, Leona Maguire, and how the OSU Cowboy Men's Golf team is right at home out in Hawaii... But the big talk of this week's pod is the guys' upcoming trip to Southeast Tennessee, for a 3-day "golf bender" of Sewanee, Lookout Mountain, and the "cherry on top" that is, Sweetens Cove! JT sets the stage, Scooter calls his shots, and Chad "2G" Ford calls in to draw some lines in the sand! Plus, the guys will be podcasting "live" from Sweetens next week to recap everything that goes down! Finally, the boys get to their picks/bets for the Waste Management Open out in "rowdy" Scottsdale this week before they wrap up the "inaugural pod" with Scooter on board! It's a jam-packed YSO pod this week that you won't want to miss!!

How are we already through the first month of the year?!??! The guys wrap up a golf-filled January by recapping Luke List's big playoff victory over Willy Z at the Farmers out at Torrey Pines, but the "real big news" on this pod is the guys' big announcement that starting next week, the YSO podcast will be adding a third member to the weekly pods and things will never be the same! J-Teal tries so hard to hide his joy at Rory's collapse, but the guys can both agree that Vik Hovland winning again on Tour is always a good thing! There's a discussion on Lydia Ko's win at the Gainbridge over a red-hot Danielle Kang, while JYK overtakes Nelly Korda for the women's world #1 ranking by the narrowest of margins. The guys preview the OSU men heading out to Hawaii for the Amer Ari Invitational, and the OSU women's big loss of superstar Caley McGinty to the transfer portal. Lastly, the guys preview and make their picks for this weekend's Pebble Beach Pro Am, which is always one of the more enjoyable events to watch on TV! And to cap things off, to celebrate the news of adding a 3rd musketeer to the pod, the boys are giving away some really nice PXG gear in the month of February, so get out there and give the pod a 5-star review, or be sure to retweet the pod and share with friends for your chance to win some really cool PXG gear! J-Teal starts things off with a couple of "corrections" from last week's pod and then the guys dive into the "Mudhen's" big win at a "chilly" Lake Nona this weekend at the LPGA's Tournament of Champions! The guys talk winter golf fashion, Annika's "celebrity status" and look ahead to the ladies' next event in Boca Raton.  The guys then pack their bags and head to Abu Dhabi to break down the HSBC and Thomas Pieters' big win.  There's some "bad behaviour" discussion with notorious bloke, Tyrrell Hatton and J-Teal finally professes his undying love for Rory.  The guys finally dig into the American Express, where "Hud" Swafford took home the trophy over the final pairing--and new law firm--Hoge, Hodges and Griffin.  The guys talk Akshay's joggers in the Bahamas, the Oklahoma State women's streak finally being broken, and then explain how they're "better than average" in the only department that matters... All that, plus a Farmers Insurance preview at the famous/infamous Torrey Pines complete with picks and winners, on this week's YSO podcast!!  And don't forget, we tee it up on Wednesday (1/26) this week out in La Jolla!

Holy cow; what a shot by Matsuyama!!!  The guys are still going crazy over Hideki's 3W out in Hawaii to even notice that this is episode No. 69 (nice) of the YSO pod!!  We talk all things Sony Open, including the playoff victory by Hideki, another "hard-knock" loss by Russell Henley, and whether J-Teal cursed Sungjae by picking him last week.  The guys then show some love to some of the "local boys" down in the Bahamas on KF Tour duty (and they're gonna need the love after those opening rounds), and talk about the unofficial/official start of the LPGA season with the ladies' Tournament of Champions down in Orlando this weekend!  The guys also shout-out the OSU women's squad who are making an early start to the "spring season" out in the desert this weekend as Coach Robertson's squad tries to make it "five-for-five" in this 2021-22 college golf season! The guys talk some "Fairway Files", and ask the age-old question of what is the proper color of a golf towel, and then they preview and make picks for this weekend's AmEx out in La Quinta, California, as defending champ Si Woo Kim looks to repeat against the likes of World No. 1 John Rahm, Patrick Cantlay, and a really good field.  All that, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!

The guys are back with the first tourney recap pod of 2022!!!  They break down Cam Smith's record-breaking win at the Sentry, the low-low scores that took place all weekend, and just how high that "Kentucky Waterfall" can take the Australian (mega orbit).  John Rahm is still good at golf, -23 over 36 holes is just "ok", and you apparently should buy a plane ticket for your golf clubs so they can sit next to you on the flight, just to be safe... The guys also talk about the US Women's Open, the major money it's about to pull in, and the "murderers' row" of courses that will host the even over the next 10-12 years.  Finally, the guys preview the Sony Open, as the PGA'ers stay out in Hawaii for the famous Waialae Country Club in Honolulu.  We make picks, predictions and nerd out on the course for the first "full field" tourney of 2022!  All that, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!!  Happy birthday 2G!!!

It's a mini "emergency pod" from the guys in studio as they break down the major story of the weekend, which of course, was Tiger & Charlie Woods' second place finish at the PNC.... And some guys named Daly won it, I guess... They break down all of the story lines from the weekend that was, including Nelly Korda "fan-girling out" over Tiger, Big John's "Santa getup", and how we all would've rioted had Stewart Cink & son won the damn thing.... The 2022 Masters field is set, we provide an update on the new clubhouse at James E. Stewart Golf Course, and we wish you all a very happy holiday season!  All that, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!

The guys take the show on the road this week as they were fortunate enough to get a "sneak peek" at the new design, routing and renovations at Midwest City's John Conrad Golf Course!  Daniel Mills, the Course Superintendent, walks the guys through all the changes that the design team have put into place at Conrad over the past 6 - 8 months and the guys were absolutely blown away by how the "new" course is starting to take shape!  From the removal of 700 trees, the complete remodel and remake of all 18 greens, and the installation of a 3-hole "pitch & putt" short course, Daniel walks the guys through it all during this special interview pod! Be sure to check out all of the changes and get updates on Conrad here at: https://www.midwestcityok.org/parksrec/page/john-conrad-golf-course  or, be sure to follow Daniel and all his superintendent musings on Twitter here: @soonerniner80  The guys end things with a round of the "Short Par 4" with Daniel, and everyone will be looking forward to July 1, 2022, whenever the "new" Conrad is slated to open!

The guys are back in studio to recap all things golf from the week prior and we start things off by breaking down Vik Hovland's come-from-behind win at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas!  They also discuss Morikawa's meltdown, playing from the wrong tee box (WTF?) and Sam Burns' five-chip, which none of us have ever done (right?).  The guys then discuss the new Elite Amateur Series, which will take seven of the most prestigious amateur golf competitions in the U.S. and pair them together in a "FedEx Cup style" points playoff.  Good idea or bad idea?  What's your take??  But the guys save the best for last on this podcast, as they talk golf with friend of the pod and true golf "sicko", Nelson Anaback!  Nelson shares his unique story and his love for the game of golf, as the guys discuss just how many golf sets a "sicko" really needs, playing in the Cong for the first time, and they end with the "Short Par 4" segment.  All this, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!

Special interview pod this week as we come off of the Thanksgiving holiday, and one thing the guys are thankful for is the First Tee of Metro OKC!  Debi Martin, Executive Director, and Dustin Semsch, Program Director, "zoom in" to the podcast with the guys and talk about all the great things the First Tee Program provides youngsters here in the OKC Metro (over 1,200 kids annually!) and their personal stories of how they came to the game of golf and began their work with the First Tee of Metro OKC!  J-Teal finds a way to weave in a Tiger story, we talk about the bright future the First Tee has here in OKC, and Dustin is kind enough to play the "Short Par 4" with the guys at the end!  What a terrific organization, a terrific cause, and don't forget about their annual golf tourney fundraiser next spring on May 16, 2022!  Check them out on the web here: https://www.firstteemetokc.org/

The guys are in studio and are thankful for all the golf content the past week to make for a great pod!  Keith is coming in hot--and a little drunk--from a surprise 40th birthday party at this office earlier in the afternoon, but J-teal takes the wheel to ensure they keep it between the ditches as they talk about the biggest story of the weekend to lead things off, and that, of course is, that TIGER WOODS IS SWINGIN' THE CLUBS AGAIN!!! The guys also talk about just how stupid-good Jin Young Ko has been in 2021, how underrated (really?) Collin Morikawa is, and how J-Teal called it that Oklahoma's own, Talor Gooch, was the next rising superstar ready to break through on the PGA tour as he notched his first victory at the RSM this weekend!  And of course, the guys have to talk a little bit about the Bryson/Brooks "Match" coming up this week out in Vegas before asking the listeners for advice on how Keith should go through the fitting process and select his first "custom" golf clubs of his entire 40 years on this earth.  All that, and so much more to be thankful for on this week's YSO podcast!!!

SPECIAL GUEST CO-HOSTS ALERT!!!  The famous (infamous) Loaf and Reagan ("Schmiddy") Smith drop by the studio to co-host a special episode with J-Teal while Keith is away for his day job!  The boys break down Jason Kokrak's big win in H-town this weekend, the crazy drama that saw Nelly Korda win in a playoff (PLAYOFFS?!?!?) at the Pelican, and other golf tidbits from the week.  But the real "meat & potatoes" of this episode lies with Loaf and Schmiddy recapping their recent trip to Jax Beach to play in the NIT with some of the NLU guys and how they braved the elements--and some bad golf (sorry, Schmiddy)--to somehow still have one heckuva time!  All that, and so much more on this special episode of the YSO podcast!

The guys are "live" at the venerable Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa to talk everything going on in the golf world this week! They start things off by chatting with an Oklahoma golf legend and hall-of-famer, Janice Gibson! Janice is now the Executive Director of the First Tee Program of Tulsa, who were hosting their annual charity golf scramble at Southern Hills (for the 19th consecutive year!), and the guys were fortunate enough to be able to participate. Janice highlights all the great things the First Tee of Tulsa does to introduce kids to the wonderful game of golf, and what a treat to spend a few minutes with this Oklahoma golf legend!! (https://oklahomagolfhof.org/janice-burba-gibson/). The guys then recap the Mayakoba, where Vik Hovland was a "victorious Norwegian Viking" down in Mexico once again, they show some love to pod fave Lydia Ko, who showed out in the desert, and then check in on some former Sooners getting automatic qualification on the Korn Ferry Tour for 2022! But make no mistake, this pod is mainly about J-Teal's "maiden voyage" around historic Southern Hills, the proverbial "Mecca" of Mr. Maxwell! The guys break it down hole-by-hole, make some inevitable comparisons, and make a "wish list" for their inevitable return. Big thanks to our guys DK and Justin for making the loop with us, and for making it such a memorable day! Plenty of big-time pics on the ol' Instagram for this one @ysogolf All that, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!

After the shenanigans, the guys recap what was a stellar East Lake Cup for both in-state schools, as the OSU women cruise to a big win over Duke, while we had Bedlam on the men's side with OU edging past the Pokes 3 - 2 to take home the prestigious trophy!  Here's hoping it's a preview of things to come next May out in Scottsdale!  The guys then spare a few minutes for the "Butterface" Bermuda Championship, and then move on to talk about the fun they had in Norman last week with the OU Women's golf squad at their annual "Shot in the Dark" event to raise funds for the Red Tee Club.  J-Teal finally wins a long drive contest (in the dark, when no one could see), so it was a special night for all involved!  All that, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!

Another great interview with Greg Robertson, head coach of the OSU Cowgirl golf program. Coach Robertson reflects back on the Cowgirls National Runner Up finish from last May and then dives deep into the fall season, highlighted by three straight team wins. We then turn our attention to the East Lake Cup in Atlanta reserved for teams that made the "final four" in last year's NCAAs. Coach Robertson is an absolute class act and we thank him for his time!

Winter Park Golf Course, a special 9-hole track located right smack-dab in the middle of Winter Park, Florida, has a very cool history, a very busy present, and an incredibly bright future, and the course has made 9-hole tracks "cool again", as the guys detail on this pod... It was 50/50, but the guys decided to return home from their trip to Bandon Dunes so despite it being a day later than normal, they're back in the studio!  Things start with a recap of the last major of the calendar year, the AIG Women's Open Championship, where Carnoustie served up some "hard-to-watch" drama on the 18th (72nd) hole yet again, ensuring Sweden's Anna Nordqvist of her 3rd major championship!  We had more playoff (PLAYOFFS?!?!) drama in the first leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs with Tony Finau finally (after 1,975 days) breaking the "Curse of Puerto Rico" and getting his 2nd PGA Tour victory at the Northern Trust!  And while we're a still a few weeks away, the guys take a sneak peek at the current Ryder Cup standings and play "Steve Stricker for a Day" and make their selections for the team for next month's Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits.  Lastly, the guys ever-so-softly "tease" the recap of their recent trip to Bandon Dunes with a special "bonus pod" coming soon that will break down the entire trip, highlights and low-lights, do's and don'ts, and what the guys would (will) do differently the next time!  All that, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!!

Next, the guys preview the Women's Open Championship at Carnoustie ("Carnasty") and they make their picks for the last major of the season for the LPGA... The guys then give a quick preview and picks for the Northern Trust as the "opening leg" of the FedEx Cup Playoffs (PLAYOFFS?!!??!), but let's not kid ourselves, this pod is all about the back-end as the guys preview their trip to Bandon Dunes this week!  We meet the cast of characters (including caddies), give the run-down of the courses and order they'll be played, and talk about what should be expected from the trip and whether J-Teal will actually come back to OKC, or just stay and start living that "caddie life" in southern (southwest?) The guys were "live" at Lincoln Park Golf Course in OKC all weekend long for the LP Club Championship and what a great time we had!!  Our man J-Teal gets a trophy (sort of), we had a 2-hole "sudden death" playoff for the Open Division title, we saw a hole-in-one from a "Super Senior", and our new biggest fan, Todd, was on the loose holing out for eagle left-and-right!!!  It was truly a "Championship Sunday" we won't soon forget, and bit thanks to Aaron Kristopeit, Steve Carson and the entire LP team for hosting us and putting on a top-notch event!  In other golf news, Xander Schauffele is now an Olympic golf medalist, Rory (not that one) wins the silver for Slovakia (??), and we had even more playoff drama for the bronze medal, won eventually by a pod favorite, the "Bread Man"!  Annika Sorenstam has still got "it" at 50, a Stanford man wins the Western Am, and you may have heard something about OU and texass heading for the SEC, but what does that mean for their college golf programs?!?!?  All that, and so much more on this week's YSO podcast!!!

We're a day late, thanks to America's birthday, but J-Teal and I get together remotely for a late-nighter to talk Cam Davis and "playoff golf" in Detroit, JYK's victory on the LPGA tour, and we gloss over a boringly unwatchable "the Match" on TNT while recording.  Given it was a relatively "light" week on the big tours, we talk about our golf outings over the holiday weekend, and give big props to our man, J-Hopp, making the cut on the Oklahoma Mid-Am tour!!  There's plenty of mosquito talk as well, which likely isn't as big of a problem across the pond this weekend at the Scottish Open, where J-Teal thinks Rory will win, but still somehow choke...  We also talk a little John Deere Classic in the Quad Cities area, and then J-Teal tells us all about a big name change for his annual passion project, which will be coming up October 1 - 3, for those who are counting (and we know you all are)... It's another "post-major" let-down week, but the guys are still amped up to recap the KPMG PGA Championship and Nelly's rise to the World No. 1 in women's golf!  It was a valiant--yet slow--effort from Lizette Salas, in what was essentially a two-horse race down in Atlanta!  On the PGA side, it was another two-horse race, but this was a marathon and not a sprint, as Harris "F-ing" English held off UT's Kramer Hickock in an epic, eight-hole playoff to win the Traveler's Championship up in CT!!!  Plus, we talk some Euro Tour action as Oklahoma State's Vik Hovland wins the BMW in Munich (without the eye patch) and we talk local golf, as a few friends of the pod made a good account of themselves in last week's OGA Stroke Play Championship held at "the Jimmie" in Norman!  All that, plus picks/best bets for the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit this weekend, which J-Teal will have you know, is actually slightly north of the Canadian border (shout out to all our listeners in Windsor)!!!  Enjoy this week's YSO podcast, and happy birthday, 'Murrica!!!
