A short thought for Mothers. Elizabeth was a faithful woman and mother. She was faithful in the seasons of disappointment and in the seasons of waiting. She excelled where most have fallen short. She had the testimony that every person should desire to have. Luke 1:6 (KJV) And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

Deuteronomy 1-18-46--God has a will for all of us to follow. God had given Everlasting Life to every person who calls on Him for salvation. I wonder what we have missed out on simply because we have not fully obeyed God's will for our life. Israel Deferred the Hope God had for them, because they failed to believe God. They delayed that Hope by 40 years. I wonder what you and I will hear at the Judgment Seat of Christ--
Deuteronomy 1-18-46--God brought Israel to a place of Hope and anticipation as to what God would do for them, with them, and through them, but they failed to have faith in God. What was supposed to be a place of hope, turned out to be a place of great disappointment for Israel. How many Christians have missed out on God's perfect will for their life simply because they failed to believe God. They failed to trust and obey.

Revelation 2-12-17 -KJV- And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write- These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges- 13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is- and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. 14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. 15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. 16 Repent- or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. 17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches- To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
Psalm 105-1-6 -KJV- O give thanks unto the LORD- call upon his name- make known his deeds among the people. 2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him- talk ye of all his wondrous works. 3 Glory ye in his holy name- let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. 4 Seek the LORD, and his strength- seek his face evermore. 5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done- his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth- 6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
Only two people in the Bible are introduced by the words -And there was one-. These two people are polar opposites. They are as different as night is to day. Barabbas and Anna were the only two characters in the Bible who are introduced in such a way. Barabbas was set free, yet he was still under the penalty of death. Anna lived a life dedicated to the Lord. If you were introduced by the words, -And there was one -insert your name--, I wonder what would be said of you-
Isaiah 9-6 -KJV- For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given- and the government shall be upon his shoulder- and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.--Merry Christmas to you and yours. The word Christmas means the -Mass of Christ- or the -Worship of Christ-. Many people will not use the word Christmas because they do not worship Christ, but thank God, there is Hope in Christmas. What will you do with Hope of all mankind- God gave His Son for you and me. He fulfilled His promise from Genesis 3-15. There is Hope today because of Jesus, God's only Son, the Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
If your prayer life was to be the only description someone could give of you, I wonder what they would say- One day we will say our last prayer. David's last prayer praised and honored the Lord.
What will you be known for- Esau was a cunning hunter. Jacob was a cunning deceiver. Nimrod was known as a mighty hunter. Jephtah was known a mighty man of valour. Gedeon was known as a mighty man of valour. Jesus, the Mighty God, was mighty prophet in word and deed. Jesus was mighty in birth, in his sinless life, in his death, in his burial, and resurrection. He was mighty in His ascension and intercession for us. He will be in mighty when He comes to claim His own. He will be mighty in war when He comes back to establish His kingdom. What a mighty God we serve.
What do you want and why do you want it- That is a very good question to ask ourselves. Christmas can be a time of giving, but unfortunately Christmas can also be a time of selfishness. God gave us His very best and held nothing back. What do we give to God in return for the greatest gift ever given- This Christmas, people will be asked the question- -What do you want for Christmas-- I think it would be good if we would ask Jesus- -What do you want from me-- We find His answer in His Word. Romans 12 tells us what Jesus wants from us and why. He wants our total surrender to His will and He wants us to serve Him according to His will.
Genesis 16-13-14 -KJV- And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me- for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me- 14 Wherefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi- behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered.-I don't know what you are facing, but let me remind you that the same God who saw Hagar, is the same God who sees you. -God sees us Entirely. God sees us Constantly. God sees us Supremely. Are you hurting today- Do you have a burden that seems too heavy to bare- Have you been praying for some time and no answer has come- Has someone done you wrong or talked bad about you- Do you know the God who sees you- Are you saved- -The angel of the Lord asked Hagar a Question- Whence comest thou and whither wilt thou go- The will of God is not always easy, but it is always right.
All those who are saved will one day have to give an account of the choices they made. Sometimes we act like we don't have a choice, but the truth is, -We all have a choice-.--Luke 10-42 -KJV- But one thing is needful- and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.--The Holidays are here. May the Lord help us to look unto Jesus, sit at His feet, and worship Him.
We are having a Testimony Service today. Jesus is worthy of our witness, work, and worship. We must praise Him with our song. - -Psalm 96-1-4 -KJV- O sing unto the LORD a new song- sing unto the LORD, all the earth. 2 Sing unto the LORD, bless his name- shew forth his salvation from day to day. 3 Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. 4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised- he is to be feared above all gods.
Romans 13-11-14 -KJV- And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep- for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand- let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. 13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day- not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. 14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Ephesians 4-30-32 -KJV- And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice- 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Psalm 85-6 -KJV- Wilt thou not revive us again- that thy people may rejoice in thee---Psalm 138-7 -KJV- Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me- thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
Lamentations 4-1-4 -KJV- How is the gold become dim- how is the most fine gold changed- the stones of the sanctuary are poured out in the top of every street. 2 The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter- 3 Even the sea monsters draw out the breast, they give suck to their young ones- the daughter of my people is become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness. 4 The tongue of the sucking child cleaveth to the roof of his mouth for thirst- the young children ask bread, and no man breaketh it unto them.
If we have lost our Savour then we need to be revived.-If we are hiding our light then we need to be revived.-If we are not hungering and thirsting after righteousness then we need to be revived.-5 out of 7 of the Churches in Revelations needed to repent. Revival is only mentioned in the Old Testament, but repent is mentioned in the New Testament. May the Lord help us.
Matthew 28-18-20 -KJV- And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost- 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you- and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD- give me understanding according to thy word. 170 Let my supplication come before thee- deliver me according to thy word. 171 My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes. 172 My tongue shall speak of thy word- for all thy commandments are righteousness. 173 Let thine hand help me- for I have chosen thy precepts. 174 I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD- and thy law is my delight. 175 Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee- and let thy judgments help me. 176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep- seek thy servant- for I do not forget thy commandments.

The Far Country should have no influence on the Home... The Far Country has no place in the home...-Part - 2 points- The Far Country could not undo what was taught at home...The Far Country could not remove the Hope found in the home... The Far Country could not compare to the home... The Far Country could not keep the son from going home... The Far Country could not discourage the home... THANK GOD, THERE IS HOPE FOR THE HOME...

Esther is best know for her words, -If I perish, I perish-. She was all in and held nothing back as she intervened for the Jews.--Esther trusted the Lord and was dependent on the Lord.--Mordecai is best know for his words to Esther in Esther 4-14 -For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place- but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed- and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this----For the child of God it is now or never. For such a time as this, the Lord has allowed us to be where he has placed us to do His will. I trust you are involved in getting the Gospel out through your local Church. I trust you give to missions above your tithe and offerings. May the Lord increase our faith to trust Him to provide us with the finances to give to missions. Jesus is Worthy.
Psalm 119-137-144 Righteous art thou, O LORD, and upright are thy judgments. 138 Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful. 139 My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words. 140 Thy word is very pure- therefore thy servant loveth it. 141 I am small and despised- yet do not I forget thy precepts. 142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth. 143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me- yet thy commandments are my delights. 144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting- give me understanding, and I shall live.
Proverbs 10-7 -The memory of the just is blessed- but the name of the wicked shall rot.---Life is made of Choices which become moments and those moments become memories...--1. The memory of the blessed starts with salvation-2. The memory of the blessed lives on when we are gone-3. The memory of the blessed is recorded in Heaven

God can remove the mountains that seem to us to be Unsurmountable Obstacles, Unattainable Goals, Untold Sufferings, Unanswered Prayers, Unreached Potential, Unbelief, Uncertain Future,
Don't settle for what is good or best... Our passage tells us of some things that are -How much better-. Wisdom and understanding are better than anything this world can afford. Trusting in the LORD is better than any worldly satisfaction. Our passage says, -and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.- Our passage tells us that humility is better than pride. Proverbs 16-19 -Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.-
We need a revival of praying for our children...-We need a revival of compassionate prayer for those who are lost...-We need a revival of Holy Living...
We need for the Lord to do a work in our life. Many times we try to fix our own problems instead of going to the throne of grace. The reason we don't boldly ask the Lord to help is because we are not living right. Holy living will give us the confidence to approach the throne of grace and give us a Holy expectation. Psalm 119-126 -It is time for thee, LORD, to work- for they have made void thy law.-
Jude 11 -Woe unto them- for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.-

As a child of God, God expects certain things from me. God expects me to keep His commandments. God expects to share the Gospel with others. God expects us to grow spiritually. God expects us to be sincere and passionate about serving Him. God expects us to surrender to His will. Romans 12-1-2 -I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world- but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.-
