Instructions and rules are important, especially in playing the game of life.
. To haphazardly play the game and skip via life freefall is dangerous.
. Why would you let your guard down after being warned of the danger?
. Don't be deceived into thinking you can live anyway you want and it will be okay.
. We are called to be about our Fathers' business; are we?
. Whatever happened to good old outreach to help save other people?
. We are responsible to throw out the lifeline so others don't drift out to sea.
. We show our gratitude by reaching out to those in need of spiritual help.
Trusting in Jesus means everything; Redemption, Adoption, Grace, Eternity, and Acceptance.
. The beauty of it is not because we loved Him, but He first loved us while we were yet in sin.
. It's nothing like depending on someone who is truly trustworthy.
. God literally quickened us from our dead lives and gave us life; Wow! I trust Him.
. Please understand we will go via trials and tribulations in this life; we are not immune.
. Just because we're going via the ringer, it doesn't mean God has left us.
. When you feel like you have no control, give the controls to God and trust Him.
. There are numerous biblical examples where they went via a "lot", this is not new.
Even when you are afraid because of rough circumstances in your life, you must not quit.
. When God gives you direction and it's affirmed, you must follow it.
. Whatever the devil promises you, never believe it, you will be deceived and hurt.
. We must remember God is on our side and greater is He that is in us than he in the world.
. We need to remember God while we are young so as we get older we can show thanks.
. Don't be an old fool. We have to grow up and remember where God has brought us from.
. When we get old we will not be able to do what we did when we were young.
. God offers us a lot in our young age so we can help ourselves and others later.
Being the salt of the earth, and a light in a dark world; does that ring a bell as a high calling?
. Our attention can't be on the things of this world while our assignment from God is unfulfilled.
. We have a role to play as Christians, as Fathers, and we need to step into the calling.
. God has empowered and gifted each of us and we need to play our role.
Whether we want to or not we are all telling a story with the way we live.
It is not uncommon for people to actually see and hear the truth and still deny it.
People may not accept you as changed for Christ, that's not your problem if you're real.
God is real and he affects real changes in our life; He literally gives us a story to tell.
Pray for those around you and this world, but pray that God's will be done.
. Tell those who refuse to believe what God has planned for them.
. Receiving the presence & power of the Holy Spirit is a blessing, though it may not seem like it.
. You have to read the Word to understand the sovereignty of God.
. In order to find a sense of meaning we have to know and have a relationship with God.
. The more we recognize God as Sovereign God and follow his Word, meaning will come.
. The bible says the world will wax worse, will we follow it or God's directions?
. Truly listening to the Lord's prayer will literally change our lives.
We all must learn humility and seek help instead of denying we have a problem.
. Admission is nothing to be ashamed of especially when you're talking to God.
. Remember God is not far away, he's as close as you want him to be.
. To refuse help is to want to remain in the mire; how wise is that?
. We cannot get through this life without having issues, but we must not let our troubles affect our attitude.
. As problems come, and they will, we must submit them to God to show us what our response should be.
. If you check bible history, none of this is new, everyone God dealt with had problems in this world.
. It's not about having the troubles, it's about how we deal with them that matters.
So many people are stressed to the point where they want to give up. They feel they have
given their all to God, yet if it ain't one thing, another happens.
. This is about the time the world, the flesh, and the devil step in to tell you Jesus is not working for you and then offer you his alternatives.
. God wants you to know your house will get battered, but when you stick with Jesus you
will be alright.
. God will see you through, He did not bring you this far to leave you.
The life we live in this world despite what we may think, God watches over our every step.
. We are admonished over and over again to follow God's Word and principles because of the journey.
. The problem is we have choices and we pick the wrong one and it follows us through our life.
. Jesus beseeches us to take the narrow road, it's so much safer and better.
. Grace is amazing and it is more than just something you receive at salvation.
. Grace continues through your whole life constantly picking you up when you fall down.
. Grace supercedes any solution you could ever seek to help yourself.
. We can always find grace to help in our time of need, even in our deepest valley-again.
What the world needs now is real hope.
. Don't let your problems, losses, sorrows, and other issues erode your hope in God.
. Without hope we leave a vacuum in our life and dry up like a raisin in the sun.
. Stand on the promises of God and grasp the hope He gives via Christ our Lord.
Jesus our example showed us how to minister while suffering even as he hung on the cross.
. When you think about others while you yourself are going via troubles, it goes a long way.
. The world is a mission field, reach out to someone else without thinking of yourself and see how it works.
. Remember God has compassion on us and gives us comfort and peace so we can share it.
When you run into insurmountable issues, do not be fatalistic, it's not the end; it may just be the beginning.
. God always has a plan for us beyond what we can expect. We ought to check our expectations because they may be unreasonable.
. Whatever we gain or accomplish it will be by God's strength, not ours; recognize.
. Do not feel hopeless, discouraged, or helpless when facing your mountains, trust and listen to God.
. If your daily life is full of prayers yet you are still in pain and seemingly get no answers
you are having prayer trouble.
. When you think you can go elsewhere for help despite God's faithfulness, you are having
prayer trouble.
. Do not let your despair cause you to trust your feelings and heart, they will mislead you.
. To help resolve you prayer trouble make your mind dwell on God's goodness and not your
problems.
. Don't believe for a second that you are caught up where you are and cannot escape or change.
. Drug addicts, prostitutes, angry people have found a new beginning and you can too.
. God is a fixer, Jesus is a change agent, the Holy Spirit will move on you if you allow him to.
. Do not get hung up on your past mistakes, just want and do better via Christ.
. Despite what we do and who we are God loves us because of Christ's shed blood for us.
. God is and always will be faithful to us every day.
. We know God will have compassion on us despite what we go through.
. There is always peace in the midst of our storms when we go with God and trust Him.

. When you mess up and do wrong or sin, don't act like you're not guilty.
. Confess your sins and ask God for forgiveness immediately.
. Forgive yourself, take God's advice, whipping and forgiveness and move on.
. Do not allow yourself to go back to more sin thinking it's okay and God will wink.
. So many of us are going via various issues and it seems unsurmountable.
. Remember, it doesn't matter what it seems like, God specializes in things thought impossible.
. Remember Moses story, babies being killed, but God saves him...and uses him to save others.
. If God is choosing us, are we accepting Him and following Him, despite what we're going through?
. Just because you are going via some things and God has not intervened doesn't mean He is not with you.
. This world will throw a lot at us, but we must still trust God through it all.
. Do not be tempted to give up or give in because things are not going your way right now.
. Think about others who have gone on before you like Joseph, and trust God.
Be careful listening to preachers making promises saying God said...
. God will never leave us nor forsake us, but we get impatient when God doesn't move
fast enough for us and we run off without Him.
. Just because you don't get your way or exactly what you want, doesn't mean God left you.
. Please know even via the pain and sorrow, temptation, trouble and woe, God is right there.
. Despite what you're going through and how you see others prospering while you suffer, you must
still trust God.
. God allows us to vent, then He expects us to get it together with His help.
. God invites us to spend quality quiet time with Him because He knows it will make a difference.
. Never lose your trust in God because you see others seemingly getting away with murder.
Sometimes God has to allow us to get into the thicket just to get our attention.
. Anytime you go off ahead of God without His counsel, you are playing the fool.
. What does God have to do to remind us we need Him in everything?
. Without God we can do nothing and it's foolish to even try.
. Keep in mind that God is the only one who we are responsible to, not man.
. When people try to persuade you to do something you are not comfortable with, run.
. All power belongs to God not to the devil and his minions.
. It's a foolish thing to trust people for what they have or what they can do.
How can we possibly be filled if we are already full of other stuff?
. Can we get rid of the worry, stress, bitterness, pride, anger and let the Spirit fill us?
. If we are truly a child of God we are commissioned to be light, salt, and share love?
. How can this happen if we are not emptied of ourselves
. To abide in Christ means to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him.
. We must stop saying we want change for the better, yet we refuse to accept God's way.
. God is asking you to make him your "number one".
. We cannot keep doing the same things and yet expect different results.
. When God wants to give you something, tell you something, or get you to do something,
it doesn't matter who you are or where you come from. God can use the least of us to
do his bidding. He always has an intent and a purpose.
. When you going through some stuff you need to trust God via faith.
. The devil would have you whine and complain because it robs you of your peace.
. Heartbreak and difficulties are a part of life, but managed a whole lot better with faith.
. Rest in God's care via faith and watch the difference.
God is beckoning us to walk away from whatever it is we love and come to Him.
. You never know who God is talking to or with, don't judge people, reach out to them.
. God can save from the uttermost to the guttermost; it shouldn't matter to us.
. Make a decision today and defect from the world, the flesh, and the devil.
. Sometimes we can believe what we are doing is okay, yet it's not.
. Not only is it wrong, but it's also dangerous to us and others.
. When God gives us instructions, it would behoove us to follow them.
. God has a plan for us, when we follow it there are blessings
. So many things in this life hold us like chains; we have given up our freedom without realizing it.
. Will you be honest and admit what is tying you up or chaining you down?
. Jesus wants to set the captives free; if you are bound ask God to deliver you.
. We don't have to be shackled, but we need the power of God to unbind us.
We have the Holy Spirit living inside us if we are real.
In Jesus name He grants us power, guidance, leading, and direction.
We must act within Gods' will or we forfeit the power given.
God can do all sorts of things via us if we just yield ourselves to Him.
. No matter what you are going through, trust God.
. While in the midst of your storm, worship and praise God anyhow.
. Always seek Gods' will rather than your own.
. Don't count your losses, dwell on the goodness of the Lord instead.
. When you have tried everything and everything has failed try Jesus; that is really whom you are longing for.
. Despite whatever you are going through, Jesus is the answer for the world today.
. Give God a chance to meet you where you are and be your answer.
. Have you considered that God may have you where you are to get your attention so you can call on him?
. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
. Thank past what you want and concentrate on what happens after you get it.
. The reason some of us hit our mark is because that is where we were aiming; it just happens to be a bad place.
. God is asking you to pitch your tent toward heaven not toward "Sodom".
. Too many of us are looking at others and what they have instead of what God wants to do via us.
. God provides for us so we can carry out his will.
. How many more examples do we need in the bible where God provided for someone so they could share it?
. Oh to follow God and see the outcome; it could be amazing.
. We can play like we don't have desires and let them consume us or we can do something about them.
. Know what you are dealing with and attack it with the Holy Spirit.
. Have you ever wondered why the bible spends so much time talking about the heart, because we can't live without it and that is
where our desires are.
. We must lead our desires, we cannot let them lead us.

. God wants you, God is beckoning you, to take preventive measures to protect your relationship with Him.
Everything that we know is against the Word of God we have to cast out of your minds for our own safety.
You can't play with the other side or the enemy and not expect them to attempt to hurt you.
If Satan did it to the green tree won't he also do it to the dry?
There is power in the Spirit and in prayer, use it because without it you are vulnerable.
. Despite what is said, God did design us in our mother's womb.
. God also gave us authorities to keep us in line, like our parents, the church, government, the law and etc.
. The devil wants us to doubt God and run off on our own.
. You know what happens to you when you are alone, you are easy prey, this is why you need the Word and strong believers.
. If we would only understand what we are dealing with when it comes to Satan; his powers and principalities.
. The devil does his best to get us to attempt to make wrong right and go along with the plan; don't do it.
. Know the truth and stick with the truth because that is what is going to set you free.
. Keep your eyes on Jesus, not on Satan's "stuff".
. Spiritual warfare is not made up, it's real and it's crucial.
. We keep missing it but the Word tells us over and over again what to watch out for even by name; power and principalities.
. We must take this battle seriously; it is literally a matter of life and death.
. Satan has already consented that if he cannot have our soul, he will settle for our peace, joy and testimony.

We all have situations we find ourselves in.
The Bible is fraught with one situation after another; it's just not uncommon.
Yes, even the life of Christ our Savior was full of situations.
Just know that God uses our situations to bless us and encourage us whether we understand it or not.
Sometimes God has to cut off our supply chain, we have to go through some things to get our attention.
God wants us to hunger and thirst for righteousness; are you really looking for Him?
He says to us many times we can find him if we search for him with all our heart for he is not far away.
God will keep reminding us of who he is until he gets our attention.
How many excuses will we use for not getting it together spiritually saying "we are looking for something?"
If you keep doing the same things how can there ever be any change for the better?
What you are looking for is in the Word, but you know that, now stop ignoring it.
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8
. When you think pain and misery, praise Him anyhow and watch joy permeate your soul.
. Don't be fooled to think once you are a Christian, trouble and trials evade you; remember John 16:33
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

- Of course the world will offer you alternatives, its doesn't mean they are good though.
- . Will you be fooled or coerced into a temporary fix that in turn causes you more grief and desperation?
- . God shows us via His Word that when we concentrate on Him instead of our problems desperation and depression wanes.
- . Dare to trust God like David did even in the midst of your sorrow and pain.
- Relationships can make you or break you; it's not new. It happened throughout the bible.
- God takes notice of our status and compounds on it for our good and His purpose.
- God wants us to fall in love with Him first, then He will direct us to the right person.
- Don't be fooled by the devil to just "hook up", that is not a relationship and in fact it will rob you of one.

To defeat discouragement you have to get ahead of it and dwell on God and his goodness instead of your problems.
What we are going through calls us, it even shouts at us, but we cannot listen less we be dragged into the rabbit hole.

Let your hope be in God not in this world or other people.

. Yes, tribulation and hard times will come but God will see us through, no matter how difficult it is.
. We have to trust God not man.
. You cannnot make your own truth because you don't like God's truth.
. It's not like we don't know what right, we just have no intention of doing what is right so we claim ignorance.
. Will you stand with God or allow yourself to drift backwards?
. Some of us listen to a lot of people but have we ever asked if what they are saying is true?
. God is speaking to us via real preachers and His Word; are we listening?
. We are repeating what has already happened to several nations before us; foolishness.
. God has sent us the truth, the question is do we want to hear it?
Whatever you are going through, learn something from it for the future.
We all deal with a lot of chaos, but we must not let it defeat us; surrender it to God.
The world has a way of beating us up via our circumstances; don't fall for this.
God understands your hurt and your pain, even your disappointments, now trust Him to heal you.
What does God have to do to get our attention now so we don't suffer later?
God has done and will do everything to get us saved because He loves us so.
God cannot leave us like we are because we will perish in our sin like Judah.
God will give us many chances and then by and by those opportunities will fade.
Despite what the world offers it fails us miserably, but the Word never fail us.
We don't have to understand it, we just need to let it work in us and watch the change.
God's actions always coincide with His Word.
It doesn't matter who you are or what you've done, the power of the Word will fix you.
The Resurrection may have been a long time ago, but our change keeps happening daily.
There is power in the Resurrection that just keeps working due to our faith and God's power.
Don't let the world define for you what it means to know Jesus.
The Resurrection or Word will speak to you and then through you.
Don't misconstrue what Palm Sunday is; it's more than laying out palm leaves.
This was prophesy and a declaration; did you get it?
We must make ourselves accessible to God's love through Jesus Christ.
Have a little talk with Jesus; tell him all about your troubles...
Stress is a commonly used word that we allow into our life and it causes great harm.
It can mess with us mentally, physically, emotionally and even spiritually.
Stress is manageable depending on how we handle it.
Don't be ashamed to cry for help when you need it, especially to God.
Nations are crying today because they are spiritually bankrupt.
Our politicians and our spiritual leaders or pastors are horrible and it has reflected in our families and society.
Prosperity gospel has our nation in spiritual hock.
We have to get back to following God and not man or we will cry.
God is the Potter, we are the clay; when we become marred, God will reshape us.
Who are we to tell the Potter what shape we want to be or even question God's intent?
Will we learn from past nations or will we make the same mistakes and become marred?
In God's love and mercy He will not allow us to stay unsightly and unusable; He will refashion us.
Have you considered where certain countries are today that used to be strong and on top?
When you or your family refuses to accept what you are doing as wrong, decline is evitable.
This is not new, we have been here many times before, so what are you going to do now?
In God's love and grace He gives us so many chances then we force Him to act on us.
. We must stop doing what we want then when it doesn't work out blame it on God; that's not reality.
. If we know right but refuse to do right is that reality?
. God will only plead for us to do right for so long and offer His mercy and grace for a limited time.
. Are you really going to test God by continuing to sin despite what He has done to those before you?
We must depend on God and not the world, our flesh, or the devil.
God has already shown us that He is the Rock of Ages, what is the problem?
God should always be our primary resource for everything.
Remember, it's about God's power, not our own, we need Him.
We have wandered away from God to go where?
God admonishes us over and over again to come home because He loves us.
God calls us out on what we have drifted to, nonsense, broken wells while looking for clean water.
God beseeches us to Remember, Realize, Return, and Beware.
Everything in life that is worth having is worth waiting for.
Don't get ahead of yourself, pushing things just because you want it "now".
Even as life stretches us, we must trust God realizing that He is faithful and will guide was where He wants.
Use the analogy of a farmer, he can plant, but he has no control over what grows; he must wait.

- You may fool a lot of people, but you know in your heart if you really know Him.

. The old saints prayed their way through their hopeless feelings.

- The Amalekites in Exod. 17:8-16 were the first group to attack Israel in the wilderness; unprovoked.
- Yes, you will be attacked unprovoked, but partnered with God you will win.
- God will deal with your enemies, you just hold up your arms and keep praying and trusting God.
- Focus on the right thing which is God's Word, not your feelings or your heart.
- Hear everything God is saying in His Word, do not be selective.
- Drop your pride and be honest with yourself; are your decisions wise or setting you up for failure?
- Believe your behavior, it's you, now; what are you going to do about it or are you going to excuse and rationalize it?
- It's so easy to want to be whole, but be afraid to take the necessary steps to get there.
- None of the people God used in the Bible were flawless and neither are we.
- Just because we can never be perfect does that mean we should not even move in that direction?
- Our choices will guide our behavior and our behavior will show us who we are. Do you want to be whole?
- Stop looking at your issues with a jaundice eye or from what you can see.
- . Always put God in every situation in your life.
- . Call on the name of Jesus, know the Word, and watch the results.
- . What you're going through is nothing compared to what God can show you if you let Him.
- The Lord will have His way in our life one way or another.
- We are free moral agents but God expects us to read, believe and trust His Word.
- To be led by the Spirit of the Lord is a blessing that we ought not deny.
- God will make even our problems work out for our benefit if we just surrender to His will.

. I get it, it's so common for us to want someone to give to us.
. The real question is what are we giving to others, and what are we giving to God?
. Are we half-stepping when it comes to God, do we give Him our best or what is left over?
. What if God gave us exactly what we give Him, how would that serve us?
- The world is not changing for the better and it's not going to; this is no reason to give in or give up.
- God has given us the way out of our troubles and circumstances and He is willing to walk with us.
- Do not let go of the hand of God while holding on to foolishness then claim God left you.
- Despite us falling down numerous times and even doing the same sin over and over, God still loves us.
- Does God have to threaten us just to help us?
- Is there some reason we listen to everyone and everything but God when He is the one who made us?
- Well, guess what, God loves us too much to just watch us perish, He will get our attention one way or another.
- Despite our circumstances life can be manageable with God to help.
- . We must stop looking to the world to help and assist us and depend on God.
- . Navigation is about looking at where you’ve been, where you are and where you’re trying to get to. Many of us go in circles because we refuse to acknowledge God.
- . No one is denying we all have circumstances; we simply have to realize God is bigger than our circumstances and He will guide us if we allow him to.
- God will always come through at the right time for his own reasons and purposes. If we trust Him, it will bring us security.
- What we cannot do is lean upon someone or something else in God’s place and think it is secure. It’s disrespectful to God and it’s sinking sand.
- The more we trust God the more He will reveal himself to us causing us to become more and more secure.
- Do please remember, never forget, our God is faithful, has always been faithful, and always will be faithful. This ought to bring you security despite what you go through. Jesus said in John that we would have many tribulations but of good cheer we would overcome.
- We are all searching for something in this world and believe me it isn’t material, or people.
- At some point in time and the sooner the better, we must realize our hope and security is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- God will engineer our circumstances toward Him despite having to go through turmoil and tragedy so that we understand our security is only in Him.
- Do we really need reminders to trust God, no matter what the circumstances; God will send them?
- God has words and examples to uplift us if we want it.
- We have to get away from putting things and people before God as if they are the music in our ears.
- Don't let "anything" be a distraction from the beautiful music God wants you to hear.

. Your present situation is not your final destination.

- We may not like God’s response, and we may not like His timing, but we must admit He always answers our prayer.
- We must also admit God always wants the best for us despite our limited request.
- Can we just acknowledge that God permits or allows us to get to certain places but then blesses us through whatever situation it is to make it work for our good?
- God never promised easy, but He did promise to always be with us and never forsake us.
- When your identity and control are affected and you feel your structure is changed, it is, now you must accept it, not deny it.
- Why are you clinging to structured things that are not working for you? God wants to reassure you trusting Him helps how this new life is impacting you.
- You don’t need to turn down the dark road of bitterness and depression. Navigate this change by acknowledging change is tough, then get help.
- We have to adjust, alter, modify, calibrate and regulate; God will assist us with this if we want His help.

- God has been too good for us to start doubting Him.
- To hear God you have to turn off the world and all its temptations.

- Jesus was so serious about affecting the church until he spoke with each pastor in Rev. 2 to tell them what to fix.
- You will not be able to blame your shortcomings on your pastor even though God will hold him responsible as a shepherd
- Once it has been pointed out to you what to do, what to fix, get to it without delay.
- We only have so much time to fix these issues because tomorrow will be upon us.
- Be careful whom you talk to or listen to, who you follow, and what you believe because it will affect your decisions.

. If you make an investment now, you can get a return later.
. It’s not about knowing when the rapture is, it’s about being prepared for it when it comes.
. It’s not doomsday, it’s going home day, this world is not our home.
. Don’t be made a fool by false preaching, work out your soul salvation and share your testimony until the rapture.
. Per the Bible get to know the order of events now to save others; It’s not for you, it’s outreach, it's confirmation.
. No one knows the time of the end but God; but we do know it’s coming.
. Our attitude must be anticipatory and hopeful also obedience is required.
. As we read the Bible it clearly points to the rapture and the second coming.
. We all have an end and we decide now what it shall be.
. Shall we celebrate with Christ in the rapture or go via the tribulation and suffer waiting for the second coming?
. So I guess there is no doctor in the house; no one to heal the people?
. Jeremiah has to risk his life simply to tell the truth because no one wants to hear it. He is truly one of the 7000 prophets standing for the truth despite being hated.
. People then just like today were under the impression if they just get into the church they are safe; this isn’t a game people.
. There will be no excuses, rationalizations or justifications; where is your Balm?
. So many people major in so much and then minor in Christ; how is that helpful?
. Man believes he has the answer to his woes; his own man made medicine.
. Well, it’s not working; it’s insufficient.
. When you have tried everything and everything has failed try Jesus.
. Jeremiah and God have a conversation and it ain’t pretty. God is tired of man’s mess
So he tells Jeremiah to write what He is going to do to man.
. Our only escape is via Christ but some still will not confess Him.
. Jesus is our only balm and we should run to Him.
. The desert, hot dry and desolate with weeds, cactus and rocks.
. If we are ever stuck there, it’s usually tough getting out, but there is hope.
. God is our oasis, our tow truck.
. God took Israel through the desert to show them something, they missed it.
. God is taking each of us via our own desert, will we get what He wants to show us?

. Beyond the different color leaves and cooler weather there is more to Thanksgiving.
. Beyond all the food and liquor there is more to Thanksgiving.
. Beyond all the relatives and friends you’ll see there is more to Thanksgiving.
. We ought to recognize and realize where our blessings come from all year, not just at Thanksgiving.
. God is so worthy of all our praise and gratitude because despite the many things we have gone through this year, it could have been so much worse.
. We cannot look around at others and compare what we do not have.
. We must thank God for what He is doing, has done, and will do in our life.
. My God shall meet all your needs according to His riches in glory…Phil. 4:19
. Dwell on things that are good, pure, lovely, dwell on these things Phil 4:8
Happy Thanksgiving! Spread the Message
We must learn to control ourselves as in 1 Thess. 4:3, 4 3-4 For God wants you to be holy and pure and to keep clear of all sexual sin so that each of you will marry in holiness and honor— 5 not in lustful passion as the heathen do, in their ignorance of God and his ways.
These hormones God gave us have to be used properly.
Just like you control your appetite, thirst, or exhaustion/sleep; you don’t just lay down anywhere and sleep. You must also control your hormones.
God made sex stimulating and arousing for marriage. Sex ain’t nothing to play with. Marriage is its control valve it should be channeled and regulated via marriage.
Control helps us avoid sexual slavery or lust.
No affairs, no orgies, no coveting another man’s husband or wife. There is enormous misery in refusing to control your passion.
We as Christians need wholeness; moral purity…If you want to break a man / woman down just get them impure; get them involved. Solomon said this in Prov. 6:25-33The problem why sexual sin is so strong is it captures our heart and mind.
When the heart and mind are surrendered, there goes the body.
Can anyone take a hot coal to their bosom and not be burned?
Can anyone walk on hot coals and their feet not be scorched?
Do your best to avoid sexual immorality; it’s real and it will break you down.
We ought to live more closely to the ideal of what God wants for us in Christ.
God wants us to be pure and holy and to keep clear of all sexual sins.
Sexual promiscuity is not for Christians; we can’t just disregard God or His Word.
God knew His grace would save our souls but He also knew that would not be enough. That same grace would also have to keep us until the day of rapture if we want it to.
Now that God has picked us up out of the darkness we must walk in the light.
Be careful playing with the devils’ toys, there’s a price to pay

Sometimes in life, marriage, a job, a death, and so on, we can believe we are prepared.
We find out later that not only are we largely unprepared, we are clearly inadequate for the task at hand.
Speaking of death isn’t it strange how we all try to avoid this subject.
We know full well we have to either meet it ourselves or a relative or friend will first, but we still avoid the subject, BUT GOD...
This is Part One of a Three Part Series - But God
- A whole lot of people question God as to what He is doing about us or our world.
- They look at so many things unraveling and they forget who God is and get disconcerted.
- God doesn’t have to perform for us; His purposes will still be met.
- In case you missed it, many times through the bible you will see the phrase “But God…” Usually right behind it is something extremely important.

- The apostle Paul lists five major sins of the Israelite people in 1 Cor. 10:6-12.
- The actual major sin was idolatry; the other sins they committed were just a step that took them into it.
- These verses list lust, idolatry, fornication, tempting God, and murmuring.
- But the Corinthian church had another problem that Paul does not list here.
- It is something that we have to read between the lines to see.
- But once we begin to see it, it begins to become very clear.
- Their problem was a careless presumption that had its roots in pride.
- This caused them to accept a bowl of stew as opposed to God just like Esau.

- Sometimes you get to the point in life where because of circumstances you just don’t think rationally.
- Esau, the son of Issac came to this point.
- After an unsuccessful day of hunting he came home hungry and gave up his birthright for a bowl of stew.
- His twin brother Jacob was cooking his famous Lentil stew and Esau chose that over his birthright because he was starving at the time.
- With Esau it was a bowl of stew, what is it with us?

- It doesn’t matter what the problem or issue is, faith, love and hope have a way of making things so much better.
- God turns us from idols to His goodness, kindness, and grace.
- Our hardships, pressures and circumstances take a second place to God’s power.
- Through out of wedlock babies, via job loss, via divorce, via financial difficulty, via bereavement; faith, hope and love, lifts us.
- When we depend on God we will be so full of hope until we’ll have to share it with others.
- When the good news came to the people of Thess. they began to feel inside themselves a desire to know Jesus in an intimate way. They wanted something of substance, something hearty, causing them to be the elect of God.
- v. 5 The scripture was preached. The truth was declared and the promises of God were talked about all through Thess.
- That Word had power, that Word was real, compelling, and gripping.
- The gospel is no myth; it has the ability to affect change, to compel. You can’t meet Jesus and stay the same. If you want this hope, this message is for you.

- Back in Biblical days it was a mess with pestilence, viruses, strife wars and rumors of wars; the world was downright frightening. It sounds like today doesn’t it?
- Back then everyone was nervous and jittery; they didn’t know who or what to believe. There was a lot of cynicism and distrust.
- Today is the same and because of this and other reasons today there is an increase in alcohol dependency, drug use, and sexual proclivity
- We are living in a world of chaos. The bad thing is this isn’t even the end of the world; it’s going to get worse.
- We must start making better and more appropriate decisions to even keep our hope alive.
- Our hope is found in the Living Word (Christ), the written Word (Bible), and the spoken Word, (preaching).

. Some of us who have known the Lord a long time have outgrown our love for Him?
. It’s like we have taken giant steps backwards. We used to talk to God about
everything but no more.
. Perhaps we have to go back to our childhood and become as a child.
. God loves the children.
. Regardless of what we think God will never leave us, He is always on our side.
We all need encouragement no matter who we are and of course some more than others. We need reinforcement, affirmation, relief. It doesn’t matter if we have gotten ourselves into a pickle or life is just cruel to us, we need to be encouraged. There is no better place for encouragement than the Word of God.
I beg of you to give God your time, you will not regret it. Let Him lift you up and give you peace and comfort; let God encourage you.
If you allow Him, God will take you out of the depths of the valley and put you on a mountaintop.
Many times we think God has forgotten about us because of what we’re going through.
We cannot find a mate, our relationship with our spouse has gone sour. Our job status is dismal leaving us financially strapped. I could go into scenario after scenario, but let me just say this. Whatever you are going through and wherever you are in life, God knows.
Whatever pain and discomfort or even disillusionment, God is aware and He wants to comfort you and help you through it. As much and the devil wants you to believe you are alone or on your own, God wants to remind you that He will never forsake you or leave you alone despite your circumstances. God loves you and will use whatever you give Him to help you to where He wants you to be.
John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
True liberation comes from God. Yes, we are bound by more than chains; we are bound by the world, the flesh, and the devil. We are bound by sin and ourselves. We are bound by our thinking. If you truly want to be free you’re going to have to give your life to Christ. I beg of you, do not allow yourselves to be tied up to anything, submit your selves to God. It really doesn’t matter what people want for you; what do you want for yourselves?
God’s commitment to us as His children never changes even if our circumstances are outrageous. We should never be tempted to doubt God because we are going through something. We ought always to trust God.
We will all arrive where God wants us to be. It won’t be because we are lucky or we worked harder; it will be because we learned the Lord more fully and we learned to yield to His will. It will be because God has a purpose for our lives.
This is why how we think and what we think about God is so important. It literally will affect every area of our life. So if we are not accurate in our scripture interpretation or we are listening to a quack preacher, we can really be hurt.
We must know when life is beautiful we ought to praise God. When life is dismal and tough we still have to praise Him. Don’t be tempted to say where is God? Why isn’t God doing something about this? Why doesn’t God answer our prayers?
Please know the Word and it says God will never leave us or forsake us. There is no need to have a season or reason of doubt. Even when we mess up, God still loves us. 2 Tim. 2:13 13 Even when we are too weak to have any faith left, he remains faithful to us and will help us, for he cannot disown us who are part of himself, and he will always carry out his promises to us.
We may not understand what God is doing but we will see through it all He was guiding us and holding our hands.
I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return]. Phil. 1:6
With all that is going on in the world right now the Bible is being fulfilled. We have ignored the prophecies or the Word and yet they are all coming true. Just because we do not believe in or accept something doesn’t take away from its validity.
This is a time where it would behoove us to pray.
In times like these we ought to be praying that God’s will be done here on earth as it is in heaven.
How we live our lives matters. We cannot just praise God when something good happens. We ought to praise Him anyhow; even in times like these.
We must ask God to lead us and guide us and also keep us from temptation and evil. It literally lurks around like a roaring lion seeking whom it may devour. The devil keeps malice on his mind.
One way or the other we will feel the weight of the world, flesh and Satan.
Eph. 6:12 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm
We acknowledge and recognize prayer is an intimate conversation with our holy God. We also fully realize that our relationship with God will determine the impact of our whole life. The more we lift Him up and praise Him acknowledging His power and majesty, the more we are allotted to deal with this evil world.
We all know or should know that we currently live in desperate times. We have gone from bad to worse. Humans have done some things to other humans that even animals don’t do to each other.
We live in dark times; people are just like the Bible said they would be in 2 Tim. 3:1-5
Look at the disasters of fire, floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, viruses and etc. Then look at the wars, terrorism, race issues, it is at an all time high and climbing. If we allow them to, our problems could easily outweigh our blessings.
So the question is in times like these where do we turn? Do we take drugs, drink liquor, become involved in illicit affairs, over-eat, look at stuff on the internet…and etc? These alleged alternatives are real and harmful, but at the same times seemingly a panacea even if only temporary. What do we do? We turn to the Word of God and Christ the solid rock.

Apostle Peter who walked with Jesus and was the most expressive disciple wanted to share something very important with us. Peter wanted us to see at least six beautiful pictures of how Christ sees us. This will help us to understand how important and loved we are to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
1. We are living stones in God’s house.
2. We are priests in God’s temple
3. We are a chosen people
4. We are a holy nation
5. We belong to God
6. We are a people who have received mercy
All of these pictures show us a beautiful tapestry as to how God sees us and wants us to be and is preparing us to become.
