In this session, Dr. Michael Lake examines how Peter introduced the Kingdom of God on the day of Pentecost. Peter declared to all of Israel that they violated Deut. 18:15-19. In fact, they crucified the One that Moses stressed that they needed to obey. Then Peter declares that God had raised the Messiah from the dead and that the Messiah is now in Heaven waiting for His enemies to become His footstool. In Malachi, we find that God judged both aspects of the priesthood. The Levites were judged because they taught the people what they wanted to hear rather than what Almighty God had instructed them to teach. At the same time, the priests compromised on the biblical requirements for offerings to God because of convenience (or fear) to please the people. The result was that God’s instruction and His altar became contemptible. The same is happening today. Reviewing congregational demographics to determine what should be preached, rather than going to the mountain to hear from God, has become the norm. Preaching the truth of God’s instruction has been replaced with appeasing the Laodicean-minded, carnal congregant.
However, things are about to change. The Remnant are waking up all around the world; they are hungry for truth and grieved over the ascendency of sin within their societies. As King Solomon was bitten by the Mystery Religion bug and plunged Jerusalem into pagan, there was a prophet that rose up and began to prophesy. This prophet spoke of a future King of Israel that would purge Jerusalem (and all of Judah) from the filth of Babylon. Over 350 years before this king was born, this prophet called him out by name. This king’s name was Josiah. A child than became king, just like Solomon. Yet this child/king was moved by God to restore the Temple. In the restoration process, a miracle happened. The Torah was rediscovered. For eight years, King Josiah cleansed the land. Then he held one of the grandest celebrations of Passover in the history of Israel.

Understanding the Kingdom - Part 1. In this new series, Dr. Michael Lake will examine how the Kingdom of God is revealed from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22. In fact, Kingdom is one of the main subjects of the Word of God and is quintessential for the equipping of the Remnant in the Last Days. In this session, we examine both the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Darkness are revealed in the first chapter of Genesis, the mechanisms that God used to displace darkness, how only Kingdom bring abundance, and what God considered the true blessing of mankind.
Based on a study of Hosea 6:6, we discover that there are two affects of God's grace. The first, we are all familiar with -- God's unmerited favor.
