In this episode of Asked and Answered by Soul, Jennifer Urezzio and Life Coach Katie Kay discuss how we can harmonize fear with faith so we are deeply connected and supported in this world. When we have faith on one side holding hands with fear on the other, we can walk much easier through our lives. Tune in today as Jennifer and Katie take a look at the idea that fear can be a beautiful protective voice for us. Fear is a feral animal and when we truly face our fears, accept the reality of what is in the moment, and are curious and kind with it, we can untangle what is at the core and life becomes much sweeter. Katie Kay broke out of the legal/corporate world and now coaches unsuspecting spiritual beings in the desperate art of being human. With her 30 years of practice in astrology, tarot, prayer counseling, mothering, staff management, working with lawyers and executives, she now deserves the promised flashbacks from LSD. She relies on the ancients for soul-soothing, such as the Kabbala, Bhagavad Gita, Sufi mystics, Buckaroo Bonzai, and Tao Te Ching. Cultural badges: certified professional life coach, certified astrologer, prayer practitioner, a degree in psychology, and grandmother. The purpose of her pitch is to remind desperate listeners, tossed, career-twisted, relationship-dazed humans to harmonize fear with faith. Not the dogma kind, but the kind that is trusted by the trees, saltwater, blown up mountains, scorched land, and blue sky. Her calling is to shine a light for her clients through the shadows of mid-life & financial fumbles, breakups, career shifts, and that puzzling soul sickness that screams in silent rooms. Twice a month she ventures out into public with video presentations: As The Zodiac Turns, with astrological spiritual weather tips for the month ahead, and Tarot Time, an evening for individual private tarot readings. Listen as Peggy shares a wonderful poem from her book and reminds us that it’s time to understand we are so much more beautiful than we know – true beauty is holy and not just about physical appearance.
Peggy Matheson has always loved to sing and dance. She drew a few sketches when she was a young woman but had such a love for the performing arts that drawing quickly fell by the wayside. Earning a BFA in Music Dance Theater from Brigham Young University was a jumping-off point that punctuated years of performances on stage and on screen. Her tenacity to create the most impact with performance has informed her ability to create poetry and drawings that not only resonate but also delight. After college, a parallel path was forming as her desire for freedom from past pain drove her to do deep emotional healing work. She eventually found a modality that transformed her life and subsequently became a Certified Journey Practitioner helping others heal their pain through restorative guided meditation. Above all Peggy is a believer. She is a believer in the power to become our best selves and that life and relationships have meaning and purpose. For years, she felt her mission was her successful marriage. When it ended abruptly, she began to put the pieces together and discovered she’d been living in an emotionally abusive relationship. Now she’s an APSATS trained Partner Coach (CPC-c) and trained Family Life Coach (BCC-c) working with those seeking to transform themselves beyond their doubts, negative beliefs, trauma, and especially betrayal trauma. Her vision is to inspire, teach, and ultimately create space for others to become their best selves. Peggy facilitates creativity workshops using guided meditation, movement, and music as well as supporting individuals on their healing journey. Connect with Peggy at peggymatheson.com.
