Part 2 of my four part interview with Kai.
Part 1 can be found here! http://fitlivingtradio.podomatic.com/entry/2014-07-14T20_31_55-07_00
Be sure to start with part 1!
The Biggest Loser is a far cry from a true reality show. It is actually a dangerous game show that teaches contestants unhealthy habits and give viewers unrealistic expectations about weight loss and how to safely lose weight.
Perpetual contracts that never expire prohibit contestants from speaking out about the MADNESS that goes on behind the scenes, but Kai Hibbard from Season 3 is not afraid to speak out. Many contestants have spoken to me off the record with stories like Kai's, but she is the first to come on the record with me.
This is part 1 of our 4 part interview
Dr. Michaels explains why it is so important to choose the right surgeon and also the right time!
Dr. Joe Michaels talks about a recent study showing that having reconstructive surgery following gastric bypass can have a positive impact on long term results.

In part three of our interview with Dr. Robbins he talks with us about long term care for his patients and especially his LapBand patients. Personal responsibility is the name of the game!
Thank you Dr. Robbins for being a surgeon who truly cares!
In Part 2 of our 3 part interview, Dr. Robbins talks about why he believes in the LapBand procedure, why his patients do so well, and why even patients with over 200 pounds to lose are seeing success in his practice.
Why is Dr. Robbins doing LapBands? Because they WORK! Dr. Robbins explains how patients must commit to life changes for long term success- this is with any procedure.
BOTH surgeon and patient must make a commitment.
Here is a link to Part 3- http://fitlivingtradio.podomatic.com/entry/2014-03-11T21_59_30-07_00

They then took on a new goal! Both decided to do a half marathon and joined Erin and Ben's team in Walt Disney World to compete in their first endurance events!
They are living proof that 1. you are never too old to do something amazing, and 2. you can do anything you set your mind to doing if you work hard!
Plexus truly is a wonderful product that is also a great tool to go along with either your bariatric procedure, or just a regular program of exercise and better eating. It is not a diet pill or magic potion, but a tool that helps you to make better choices.
Want to know why they use it and became Ambassadors? Listen here and learn!
Ben and Erin never endorse products they do not fully believe in, and when Plexus came along, they were skeptical and had the misconception that this was a diet pill.
BOY WERE THEY WRONG!
Sara Marble is an RN and a Diamond Ambassador with Plexus and is helping people across the country! She discovered Plexus while trying to lose baby weight!
Plexus is an amazing all-natural plant based drink that truly does help keep blood sugar levels consistent and also decreases appetite. It is truly changing lives!
You do not want to miss this segment on the consumption of sugar here in the U.S. and also on how bad it is for us all!
Most Americans have no idea how addictive sugar can be! When you combine sugar with salt and fat, the combination is explosive to the taste buds and addictive to the brain.
Learn more about why you cannot eat just one of those potato chips or Doritos! Michael Moss has some great info on this!
Ben and Erin have always thought of yoga as a fun relaxing way to exercise, but never as a real WORKOUT! Listen as yoga instructor Chelle Ferguson dispels this myth!

Dr. Adam Smith of Fort Worth LapBand talks to Ben about why it is AOK to do a LapBand procedure on someone with a high BMI. This segment was spurred by a patient being told by a local surgeon he would not do a LapBand on her because her BMI was close to 50 and she was told she would not lose more than 50 pounds! WRONG!
Dr. Smith knows of what he speaks- he is a patient as well as a surgeon!
Stop the madness! Diets, pills, powders, this coach, that coach, this miracle workout etc. All you need is lifestyle and habit changes! Listen to this piece!
