At A Safe Distance is a show dedicated to musicians and their efforts to remain creative and viable during the 2020 Covid-19 crisis. With social distancing in effect on a large scale, band rehearsals, gigs, tours, recording sessions and most of the fun aspects about being in a band have come to a halt. How can bands and musicians collaborate and continue to flex those muscles while staying home and staying safe?
For this episode, an interview with Adam Southard: guitarist and multi instrumentalist of 100% Black, Underground River, and a new home recorded project called Volume II which as of late, he's dedicated to covering and reinterpreting songs from Leonard Cohen's 1977 album Death Of A Ladies Man. "The Container sessions" is the umbrella title he's using for these covers and with good hope we may see more.
