In the premiere episode of "Las Voces Del Pueblo," the Bautista sisters, Aní and Melly, attempt to bridge generations through heartfelt conversations. Together, they talk about the unique experiences Indigenous scholars face when navigating the world of higher education. Welcome back everyone!
On behalf of LA SERRANITA we are excited to announce the first episode of Season 2! In this episode, the Bautista sister’s discuss a little bit of their music taste and acknowledge recent accomplishments in their lives. We kick off the episode with a Jarabe Serrano and leave you all with the intro to “In This Lifetime”, a song by the Pico Union legends, The Psycho Realm. This song was included in their “Sick Symphonies: Sick Side Stories” album released in 2005, paying tribute to the community that raised them and honoring the stories of their loved ones.
