Music Producers talking Philly sports. We were raised in Veterans Stadium. The Eagles are on the mat. They have been knocked down and humbled for 3 straight weeks. Philly is a city known for the concept of 'getting up off the mat' and fighting. It's in our DNA. This Sunday, at the Linc, we will see if the defending Super Bowl Champions can harness that and get a win over an inferior team with nothing to play for but putting good material on film for agents. Jalen Hurts has been berated, put down, and there are actually calls to bench the Super Bowl MVP. Only in Philly. The Las Vegas Raiders come in to town with their poor offense and shoddy defense, but local kid Kenny Pickett will be under center to try and get a win. We will learn a lot about this Birds team on Sunday at 1PM. The Phillies are bringing back Schwarber and Rob Thomson and attempting to finally win that World Series ring with this group. Time will tell if they also bring JT Realmuto back, as free agency pushes on. The Sixers are exciting and Maxey is a superstar, but this is not a championship caliber team. The Eagles continue to win football games no matter how it looks, akin to the McNabb teams that just got it done. The difference is, this group has a Lombardi already. At 8-2, holding tiebreakers over every legitimate NFC contender, they head to Dallas for a divisional showdown on Sunday with a Cowboys team clinging to their proverbial Playoff life. After two weeks playing tough football in the elements at Lambeau and Lincoln Financial Field, the Eagles will suit up in a controlled environment at Jerry World, with their defense playing the best ball of the season, and an offense which has been battered and verbally assualted all week long, by the media, fans, and former players. The Jalen Hurts degradation persists despite him holding the highest passer rating among NFL Starting QBs on 3rd down, against the blitz, and subsequently posting the best TD/INT ratio in the NFL. Hurts does not make many mistakes that cost the team possessions and in his tenure, the team is 32-0 when they win the turnover battle in games he starts and finishes. Undefeated. The Sixers have promise and some depth, but they are not Championship contenders. The team is clearly Tyrese Maxey's team now, fresh off the heels of a 54-point performance in Milwaukee. The Embiid Era is over. Segments include: VetPhact, The Tek 10, Prem's NFL Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
The Eagles come off their bye week for a Week 10 marquee matchup on the NFL Schedule, as they head to historic Lambeau Field for a Monday Night Football battle with the 5-2-1 Green Bay Packers. Jalen Hurts has led the Birds to a 6-2 start on the heels of a Super Bowl ring, and there were defensive reinforcements added to fold at the trade deadline, with high-energy edge rusher Jaelen Phillips and two cornerbacks, with the standout former-Packer, Jaire Alexander, and former-Jets defender, Michael Carter II. This game is crucial in the race for the NFC's top seed. AJ Brown was not traded, as again we see the fictional delusional stories and 'sources' of the national media exposed as frauds. DeVonta Smith is on a career-best season trajectory and the march to January is in progress for the Super Bowl Champions. The Sixers are young and exciting but still inconsistent, and certainly not Finals contenders, despite the phenomenal start from Tyrese Maxey and their exciting rookie Edgecombe. The Embiid era of dominance is well in the rearview, Paul George is a disaster of an acquisition, and the team has gaping holes compared to other East contenders. Segments include: VetPhact, The Tek 10, Prem's NFL Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem discuss the return of BG to the Eagles locker room and what it means for the energy around the team. We look ahead to the rematch with Jaxson Dart and the upstart Giants, this Sunday, 1PM, at the Linc. Jalen Hurts put on a show in Minnesota with a perfect passer rating, and facing the human implosion known as Carson Wentz did not hurt one bit. The red zone defense has been near the top of the NFL and is why this team stands at 5-2, despite being yet to play a complete football game in all phases. With the meat of the season coming, the stretch run into winter, November through January, the evolution of the offense will continue to take shape as we approach the return of Playoff Jalen. Heading into the bye at 6-2 is crucial. The Sixers have a new star among them named VJ Edgecombe, who broke Allen Iverson's franchise record for points scored in a debut. The backcourt is now among the NBA's top duos. A quality win to start the season in Boston should do wonders for the trajectory of this Sixers season. Segments include: VetPhact, The Tek 10, Prem's NFL Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Tom Stakes onto the VetLine to talk Eagles. The Broncos come to Philly with their stout defense and young quarterback Bo Nix. The Broncos last win in Philadelphia came in 1986. At 4-0, the Birds have simply found ways to win. The offense, defense, and special teams units have contributed equally throughout their undefeated September against top-tier NFL competition. As the Super Bowl Champions head into October, the offense will continue to evolve, and the defense will see the return of Nakobe Dean to the field. The Phillies and Dodgers are set to meet in the NLDS and the first two games will take place at the raucous Citizens Bank Park. With a marquee pitching matchup of Ohtani v. Sanchez for Game One, the pressure is on this group of Phillies to phinally get it done in October after reaching the World Series in 2022, losing, and not making it back in their last two attempts. The table is set, but the bats will need to get hot if they expect to knock off the defending World Series Champion Dodgers in this best-of-five series. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, The Tek 10, Prem's NFL Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Kay Adams' Senior Producer Matt Hamilton of FanDuel TV on the VetLine to talk NFL. The Eagles stun the Rams and move to 3-0. Looking ahead at a tough matchup in Tampa Bay, the Eagles have the edge in this edition of the rivalry, as the Bucs are missing their best playmaker and Baker Mayfield nurses an arm injury. Jalen Hurts, Saquon, DeVonta and AJ are 18-0 when starting and finishing games together. Defensively, the loss of Nolan Smith is big, but there are able-bodies to step in and create a pass rush for the Birds. Vic Fangio's system is air tight thus far as the chief of the defense. The Phillies clinch the bye in the NL Playoffs and homefield advantage if they make it back to the World Series. Segments include: VetLine, VetPhact, Tek's 10, Prem's NFL Picks Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Jon Marks on the VetLine to talk Eagles and Phillies. The Birds host the Rams this weekend at the Linc in a Divisional Round Rematch as we delve into game dynamics. With a stout defense and veteran QB bent on revenge, this matchup will be as tough a game as any on the Eagles 2025 Schedule. Jalen Hurts acknowledges the offense's struggles in the passing game in the first 2 games and we expect to see an improved product at home on Sunday. Stafford has weapons and knows how to get the ball into their hands, so the game will again fall on the back of Fangio and his defensive plan, and our playmakers. The Phillies have secured their 2nd straight NL East Title and are in the race for the NL 1 seed as they head to Arizona this weekend firmly in control of the 2 seed, after winning 2 of 3 against the Dodgers. The D'Backs are fighting for their Playoff lives, but the Phils lineup has been getting contributions from just about everyone, and they look primed for a World Series run. Segments include: VetPhact, Tek's 10, VetLine, & Prem's NFL Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
The Eagles head to Kansas City for a Super Bowl LIX rematch against the Chiefs in Week 2. Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid were thoroughly embarrassed last February for the championship, and Mahomes has never lost 3 straight games at any point in his professional career. The Birds are coming off a division win at home against Dallas and have their star lineman Jalen Carter back for this game, after he was ejected from the Week 1 matchup in the Spit-Gate incident with Dak Prescott. Jalen Hurts played like MVP-Jalen and made all the right moves last Thursday Night in the opener, after the Eagles raised their Super Bowl LIX Banner. He will look to lead the team to a 2-0 start and keep the good vibes rolling with Head Coach Nick Sirianni leading the troops. The Phils dismantled the Mets in Philly this week, completing a four-game-sweep and ending New York's hopes of an NL East Title. With their Magic Number sitting at just 5 games, the Fightins are in firm control of the 2 seed in the National League, which would give them a bye for the Wild-Card Round. The Royals come to town this weekend for a 3-game set at the Bank as the red-hot Phils look to keep truckin'. Segments include: VetPhact, Prem's NFL Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem discuss the upcoming Eagles season opener against Dallas next Thursday Night, and breakdown the 53-man roster. Some late changes were pulled off by Howie and the Front Office, with former Birds returning to the nest in Epps and Covey. The QB Factory also continues to churn. With the Cowboys defense losing Micah Parsons in a trade with Green Bay, it appears more likely that the Eagles soar offensively next Thursday Night, on Super Bowl banner night. Jalen Hurts continues to be slandered by losers like Cam Newton on national television. The march to repeat as Super Bowl Champions is almost underway. The Phillies bounce back from a nitemare series sweep in NY in a big way versus the Braves, pouring on a season-high 19 runs, including 4 bombs from Schwarber as he sets a new Phillies single-game franchise record with 9 RBI. It looks more and more likely that the NL MVP Award is his to lose. The biggest question heading into the final month of baseball is whether or not the Phils can win enough to secure the 2 seed, and avoid a potential Wild Card Series against the Mets. Segments include: VetPhact, Prem's MLB Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Bob Vetrone Jr. of Boop Stats on the VetLine to talk Birds and Phils. He also gives us some Veterans Stadium History and great memories. The Eagles start the regular season in just 3 weeks against the Cowboys at home, as the campaign to repeat as Super Bowl Champions commences. With Preseason Game #2 approaching versus Cleveland, the questions mostly surround the composition and effectiveness of the secondary. The backup QB McKee was spectacular in the first Preseason Game. Possibly the team's only true weakness, someone will either have to emerge as the "guy" in the secondary, or Howie may have to make another move to solidify it. The Phillies lead the NL East by 5 games as we enter the latter half of August. The freefalling Mets cannot stay on track and are losers of 9 of 10. The outfield shuffle is of great debate, but one thing is certain, Jhoan Duran is the real deal. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem discuss the Phillies MLB Trade Deadline moves with the acquisitions of star closer Jhoan Duran and Outfielder Harrison Bader, welcoming radio personality and reporter Haley Taylor Simon on the Vetline to discuss the Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers. By adding an elite closer, the team is considered second in line as World Series favorites, still positioned behind the Dodgers in that regard. The bats in October will be the determining factor of their success or failure, as the starting pitching is top-tier this season. With 2 months of baseball remaining, and the other contending NL teams all improving their rosters at the deadline (especially the Mets and Padres), this is as wide open a pennant race as we have seen in recent memory. A 3-game set against the 1st-Place Detroit Tigers, a familiar foe of Duran from his time in Minnesota, kicks off tonight at the Bank. The Eagles are in full swing at Training Camp and the first Preseason game against Cincinnati is remarkably only 6 days from now. With many position battles taking place on defense especially, it will be intriguing to see who emerges as the starting cornerback opposite Quinyon Mitchell and how our front seven depth shakes out. It is almost time for football once again and the champs are back. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, Prem's MLB Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
The Super Bowl Champions are back to work. Tek & Prem discuss Training Camp beginning and the are multiple storylines developing, including the secondary. Cooper DeJean is being placed all over the field as Fangio and his staff evaluate the right players across the defensive backfield positions and packages. Jalen Hurts and the team leaders are focused on what's ahead, not Super Bowl LIX. The season is less than 6 weeks away and preseason football is around the corner. A march to a repeat commences very soon. The MLB trade deadline approaches as the Phillies start a 3-game set in the Bronx against the AL Wild-Card leading Yankees. A Yankees team every bit as inconsistent as the Phils have been since June 1. Taking 2 of 3 on the heels of taking 2 of 3 from the Red Sox is key to maintaining their continual NL East leap-frog with the Mets. Trading for a true star closer is all that separates this team from a World Series in 2025, and possinly one more bat. The jury is out. Segments include: VetPhact, Prem's MLB Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
The Phils approach the All-Star Break with questions, while maintaining Playoff position, neck and neck with the Mets atop the NL East. Zach Wheeler will be home resting instead of wasting valuable pitches in the meaningless All-Star Game. With an elite starting rotation, trade deadline moves for the team's struggling bullpen will determine the liklihood of a return trip to the World Series. With valuable prospects and trade pieces on the present club, Dombrowski will have options this month. The mystery remaining is how he will decide to move, or not move those pieces, and what value other teams believe they actually possess in a deal. The Sixers are in the midst of the summer league and Edgecombe looks like a player. Yet again however, the success of this basketball team next season will hinge on the health and availability of their former MVP Embiid as well as star Paul George. As the NFL offseason presses on and Training Camp is around the corner, we discuss Jalen Hurts and the landscape of NFL QB's through Super Bowl history as well as the present state, and look back at SBLIX. Segments include: VetPhact, Prem's MLB Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
The Sixers draft VJ Edgecombe out of Baylor University with the 3rd overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. He has some great tools and a very athletic style of play and will likely slide right into the Guard rotation. The question remains however, if the Sixers can make it out of the 2nd Round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs. Joel Embiid and Paul George will be one year older, and the skepticism over their ability to stay healthy enough to play even 50 games total together remains. The Phillies were swept in Houston while the pitching staff allowed just 5 runs combined. Suarez, Wheeler, and Sanchez were masterful, but the offense was in hibernation. With the trade deadline looming, Tek & Prem discuss the possible scenarios with key prospects and potential trade pieces on the active roster. A weekend series in Atlanta against the Braves, who are heating up, will provide more clarity regarding the Phillies recent offensive slumber. The Flyers add a young player with a lot of upside in a pre-draft trade and the NHL Draft is on deck. Segments include: VetPhact, Prem's MLB Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome The Philly Quizmaster and co-owner of Shibe Vintage Sports, Johnny Goodtimes, on the VetLine to talk Birds, Sixers, and his unique Kobe Bryant meeting. The Eagles Preseason is less than 2 months away, and minicamps have been very interesting. With an infusion of youth and energy, the Super Bowl Champs are close to beginning their march towards a repeat Lombardi Trophy in the 2025 NFL Season. Jalen Hurts seems to have galvanized his doubters, who are out at an all-time high, but as we discuss, that may serve to blow up in all of their faces. Another dinner with Michael Jordan before a Super Bowl could be on the horizon. The Phillies will only compete for a World Series if some drastic moves are made at the trade deadline, and it remains to be seen if the Front Office shares that sentiment, with the All-Star Break just a month away. Bryce Harper is still out with a wrist injury, although he has resumed baseball activities. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, Prem's MLB Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem discuss the Eagles first OTAs of the offseason, with position battles looming and a fresh energy in the air. The Draft Class is strong, yet again, and the veterans are in place as the Birds prepare for a run at a repeat Super Bowl Championship. The Jalen Hurts doubters have multiplied, once again, and the Jordan-Brand representative has another year ahead of him proving them all wrong. Training Camp is around the corner. The Phillies boast the best winning percentage in the National League as they get set for a trio of games against the Brewers at the Bank this weekend. After taking 2 of 3 from the Braves at home this week, they will look to stay on track against an underachieving, .500 Milwaukee ball club. Kyle Schwarber continues his torrid pace of power, sitting tied for 2nd in MLB with 19 HR. Trea has come on strong in May, hitting .302 overall, which is good for 13th in baseball. Pitching will continue to lead the way, and with the trade deadline approaching in July, moves or a big move is expected to bolster this beleaguered and inconsistent bullpen. Segments include: VetPhact, Prem's MLB Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem dive into the Eagles 2025 NFL Schedule and take a look at the matchups and anomalies of it. The Birds are clearly an elite unit poised to push hard for a Super Bowl repeat, but they will have to do it through a gauntlet of a schedule this season. They play 10 games against 2024 Playoff teams and do not have one back-to-back at home. While there are no international games to travel for, thankfully, there are a slew of games on days other than Sunday and very challenging teams successively, at multiple points. So goes the nature of the NFL. Their leaders will carry them. The Phillies are back in action tonight at the Bank, coming off their first home series loss since last July. The rotation is elite and the bullpen is coming into form, but Bryce Harper is still yet to find his stroke at the dish. The supporting cast has helped lead them to a .581 win percentage thus far, 4th in the NL. The Pirates come in this weekend for 3 games, and although they are not a good team, they are a pesky squad with a knack for close contests. The Flyers have a new head coach, former Flyer Rick Tocchet, received with mixed reviews, and the Sixers will pick 3rd in the upcoming NBA Draft. Segments include: VetPhact, Prem's MLB Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem are joined on the VetLine by Breland Moore of Fox 29 Philadelphia to recap the Eagles incoming Draft Picks and talk Phils. Another solid group of young players are set to join the roster, in what amounts to a run to repeat as Super Bowl Champions. The road is never easy while attempting that task, historically. The Birds' defense recieved a boost of young talent and the offense remains largely in tact as we head into training camp. Howie may make additional moves and we discuss those possibilities, namely, adding a veteran or star in the secondary. A trip to the White House has come and gone, and left the fanbase somewhat divided over who did and did not attend the reception. While there shouldn't be any lingering effects in the lockerroom, the extreme views each side maintains run very deep. The Phillies finish April with a winning record as the power is coming around and they cap off another series win, this time against Division-rival Washington. The dreaded Diamondbacks come in to the Bank this weekend for a trio of tough games. The memory of 2023 lingers. An early season test as we enter the month of May approaches for the Fightins. Segments include: VetLine, VetPhact, Prem's MLB Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem discuss the incoming 2025 Eagles, with two likely defensive starters added in the 1st two rounds of the NFL Draft, Campbell from 'Bama and Mukuba from Texas. Both players figure to be key contributors in the coming seasons, a true Super Bowl window for the Birds. Howie and the front office made timely trades to jump around the draft order, and added a solid DT from Nebraska, Ty Robinson. With the losses of Williams, Sweat, and Gardner-Johnson in free agency, these are all logical picks, and also picks made from value spots in the Draft. Vic Fangio's system is phenomenal with the right pieces in place, and this haul reinforced the roster nicely on the defensive side of the ball. The Phillies have stumbled after a nice start and are floating around .500, one game over. With the season still only in April, there is no need to panic. Segments include: VetPhact, Prem's MLB Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
The Phillies get the split with Giants, and look ahead to a weekend set with the Marlins. There are high expectations for this club, coming off of three straight postseason appearances including one pennant. Still in the infancy stages of the 2025 season, the usual up and down performance from this group has continued to rear it's ugly head, yet they are presently neck and neck with the Mets for the NL East lead. The Phils are looking for back-to-back Division Flags. But it won't be easy. The questions in the outfield remain relevant and frequent. The revolving door of players seems to be on track to repeat itself again this offseason, regardless of the result. A major question is how the team will deploy some of their hot young prospects into the majors later in the year. The Eagles are 6 days away from the NFL Draft with a lot of capital and options, for a team that is still loaded despite the loss of some solid defenders. Howie Roseman could go quite a few ways in the 1st Round, including moving up to get a true impact player. The defending Super Bowl Champions have an open window to repeat the feat. Segments include: VetPhact, Prem's MLB Picks Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
The Phillies are 5-1 out the gates and host the World Series Champion Dodgers this weekend for three at The Bank. A great early litmus test for this group, they are 7-3 in their last 10 against LA, including wins in 6 of their last 7 contests. Early on, the lineup is quiet against starting pitchers while raking against relief pitchers. To beat the Dodgers, the Phils will have to change that narrative. There have been contributions from the bottom of the order with Sosa and Rojas, and the new addition, Max Kepler, has began his Phillies career in solid fashion. The marathon of the MLB Season is underway as the VetPhact and Prem's MLB Picks returns, with three Moneyline Locks for this Friday's games. Segments include: VetPhact, Prem's MLB Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Phillies Reporter for The Inquirer, Scott Lauber, on the VetLine to talk Phils. The MLB season is less than one week away, as the Fightins prepare to travel to DC to take on the Nationals for a 3-game series to start the 2025 campaign. The Phils starting pitching is still among the league's best, adding Luzardo to that mix, and the lineup may be shook up a bit as the Phils try again with this core, to win a World Series Trophy for the first time since 2008. Eagles offseason talk continues as the Draft approaches in April. Howie Roseman has a ton of Draft capital and has added some good low risk-high reward 1-year contracts to young defenders with a lot to prove. There will be some good competition in camp for key spots, but the core remains at every level of the defense with an offense still boasting the same stars. The defending Super Bowl Champions are 6 weeks removed from the big game, but the excitement for their trajectory should be just as strong as it was on Feb 10. Segments include: VetLine Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem discuss the first wave of free agency and some of the Eagles arrivals and departures. With tons of draft capital, the message from Howie to the fanbase to 'be patient' makes sense, and the front office has earned our trust coming off their Super Bowl blowout. The secondary will look very different, but Vic Fangio has studs at every level of his defense on the roster who are here to stay. Howie's approach of signing players to value deals with a low risk-high reward modus operandi has worked in the past with guys like Baun and Becton, and Eagles fans should expect the same again with the new additions. As March wraps up and the focus shifts to the draft, the Eagles flexibility and plethora of picks will be the key factor in how this offseason is viewed. The Phillies are tearing the cover off the ball this Spring and will start regular season play in less than two weeks time in DC. The shuffled lineup could mean more early run production and this rotation should be one of MLB's best yet again. The clock is ticking for this group. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem discuss the upcoming NFL Free Agency period and the expected performance of defending Super Bowl Champion General Manager Howie Roseman. With Zach Baun locked up to a deal and 10 of 11 offensive starters under contract, the outlook is exciting for a team poised to repeat as Super Bowl Champions. Defensively there is flexibility to bring an edge rusher and a cornerback in, after the release of Darius Slay and likely departure of Josh Sweat. Next week as the period gets underway, all Philly fans' eyes will be locked upon the breaking news banner, anticipating the next Howie move that improves this team even further. The Phillies are underway in Clearwater and baseball is around the corner. Can this group transcend their previous limitations and compete with the Dodgers for the NL Crown? The pitching is capable but the question remains if the bats will be loud or quiet in October. In what could be the last hurrah for this team in it's current form, a World Series Championship is the expectation. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
The Philadelphia Eagles win their second Lombardi Trophy by defeating Kansas City in Super Bowl LIX, and now have Championship Game wins over Vince Lombardi himself, Bill Belichick, and Andy Reid. Jalen Hurts is the quintessential leader and with Saquon Barkley toting the rock, few defenses stand a chance at slowing them down. The Birds put a show on for the Eagles faithful in attendance down in New Orleans and around the world, as there was never a doubt who the better team was on February 9th--on a day where the Chiefs were convinced that they were about to make history. As we break down the meaning of this epic victory, we also look ahead to what is next for this group. There are key guys to re-sign and a Draft to prepare for as they gear up to go BACK-TO-BACK. Segments include: Numbers Don't Lie. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Jon Marks of PHLY Sports on the VetLine to talk Super Bowl LIX. The Eagles and Chiefs meet again, this time in beautiful New Orleans to play for a Lombardi Trophy. With KC on the cusp of history and a third consecutive Championship, Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and Jalen Carter have other plans. The bitter taste of losing has left a scar on Hurts, and his team comes in with the league's top-ranked defense, after a record-setting 55 points in the NFC Championship Game. The Eagles enter the Super Bowl without committing a turnover en route for the first time in NFL History. Quarterbacks are 3-11 in Super Bowls when facing the league's best defense, and Patrick Mahomes has the challenge of doing so this time around. Saquon eyes rushing history, needing just 30 yards to break Terrell Davis' record of rushing yards in regular and postseason combined. On Feb 9th it will all be settled in an epic clash of the league's two best teams in 2024. Segments include: VetLine Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Haley Taylor Simon on the VetLine to talk Super Bowl Eagles and Flyers. The Eagles will take on the Kansas City Chiefs for Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Feb 9th, in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII . After a dominant season and 3 home playoff wins, Jalen Hurts leads his team down to the Bayou to play for the ultimate prize and bring home the city's second Vince Lombardi Trophy in their storied history. With the league's top-ranked defense and a run-game led by Saquon Barkley, the Eagles are dominant and in better position to get the job done than they were two years ago. KC comes in with a less explosive offense, but the aura of attempting to win their 3rd straight Super Bowl--a feat that is yet to be accomplished in the NFL. The Flyers are hanging around but are still an up and down team with major offseason questions on the horizon. Segments include: VetLine, VetPhact. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Eytan Shander of Fox 29 Philadelphia and OddsShopper on the #VetLine to talk NFC Championship Game. The Eagles will take the field to face off against Washington for the third time this season, with each team already winning on their home field. Jayden Daniels has arguably performed as well as any rookie QB in NFL History, leading a team that was presumably rebuilding to the precipice of a Super Bowl. Washington last reached the big game in 1992, defeating the Bills. On the Eagles side, the franchise is a model of Playoff consistency, hosting their NFC-leading 6th Championship Game this century and 8th overall. With a win, the Birds would be lined up to appear in their 3rd Super Bowl over the last 8 NFL seasons, seeking their 2nd win. Youth, hunger, and phenomenal general management is a large part of that equation. There are key injuries on both sides of this upcoming battle between two very storied and proud franchises, and Jalen Carter is facing a backup on the Washington O-Line. Conversely, the Eagles could be down their starting Center Cam Jurgens. Segments include: VetLine, Vet Alumni Playoff Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Matt Hamilton of Fanduel TV, On-Air/Senior Producer of Up & Adams Show, back onto the VetLine to talk Eagles v. Rams and the NFL Playoffs Divisional Round matchups. The Birds host another beatable opponent this Sunday at the Linc, one they thoroughly defeated in the regular season less than 2 months ago. The 3pm kickoff forecast calls for snow and wet/cold conditions with Matt Stafford boasting just a 1-8 record in such games in his impressive career. In a game where the trenches will determine the victor, the Eagles O-Line has a significant advantage and the their #1 rushing attack will likely be on full display, via 2K rusher Saquon Barkley. Defense will again be impactful as the Birds attempt to advance to their 2nd NFC Championship Game in the last 3 seasons and 3rd Super Bowl, in just the last 8 seasons. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, Vet Alumni Playoff Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
As the Eagles prepare to host Green Bay in a Wild Card matchup at the Linc, we welcome Phil Stiefel of Trending In The AM back onto the #VetLine to talk gameplan, and the Eagles path to New Orleans. Rested, ready, and most importantly, healthy, the Eagles are the superior team on paper, but as the saying goes: "Any Given Sunday". This Sunday, a wounded Packers team comes to town to try and upset the Birds, who boast the league's top defensive unit and rushing champion, Saquon Barkley. Jalen Hurts will be back under center to lead the way, as he tries to bounce back quick from his 3-week layoff. Coming in as 5-point home favorites, the number two seed Eagles have high expectations among fans and inside their own building. In the two franchise's history, they have met 3 times in the postseason, all in Philadelphia, with the Eagles holding the 2-1 advantage, including the 1960 NFL Championship Game. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, Vet Alumni Playoff Picks.

Tek & Prem welcome Bill Colarulo of 97.5 The Fanatic on the VetLine to talk Eagles and Sixers. With the great Saquon debate settled, the focus shifts to the Wild Card Round at the Linc, in which either Green Bay or Washington will be coming to town. Jalen Hurts should be out of the concussion protocol by then and the rested Birds will have a shot to make their run at another Super Bowl on the heels of a record-setting season, in multiple regards. After their bye a full 3 months ago, they will get a much-needed reprieve in the season finale, with the 3-13 NY Giants coming in for a glorified preseason game. We'll get to see Tanner McKee and the backups take on one of the league's worst teams to close out the regular season. The NFC is wide open and the Eagles may be the most complete team, from top to bottom. The Sixers trudge on, trying to climb to .500 but dropping two straight games on the west coast in pursuit of that goal, in embarassing fashion. It looks more and more likely that they are headed for another early postseason exit. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, Prem's NFL Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome John Barchard back on the VetLine to talk Birds. As they head to DC on a franchise-record winning streak, Super Bowl expectations abound. The defense is young, fast, and plays smart ball. Vic Fangio is clearly in control of this unit. Jalen Hurts continues to win and win as does Nick Sirianni. With the Commanders in their path this Sunday, the Eagles will look for the season sweep over the NFC's present 7th seed. Ironically, if the season ended today, the Wild Card game at the Linc would be against these same Commanders. The drama around AJ Brown was overblown and the media again takes the L. AJ and Jalen are quite alright. All sights are set on a trip to New Orleans and the team's 4th Conference Title this century. The Phillies have been underwhelming so far this offseason, and the signing of OF Max Kepler doesn't change that. They continue to fall behind in the race for NL supremacy and the question remains: Can this core get it done in October as constructed? Segments include: VetLine, VetPhact, Prem's NFL Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem discuss the Eagles Super Bowl expectations and the product they have put on the field through 12 games in 2024. Nick Sirianni is a winner. Vic Fangio has gotten the most out of a young and hungry defensive unit. Jalen Hurts continues to be disrespected by the fanbase and nationally. A young Carolina Panthers team comes to town this Sunday for a 1 PM kickoff at the Linc, and while they have improved, recently, a Super Bowl contender at home should easily roll through them. The Lions are the NFC pace-setters but there is still a month of football to play and some challenging games on their schedule as the Eagles have a semi-cakewalk. Saquon Barkley is on a record rushing pace and the Eagles Defensive Line has been as dominant as we have seen in years. The Flyers are young, talented, and getting better at a rapid pace. The young sensation Michkov has been as advertised, and they play with a gritty energy as a unit. The Sixers are still a dumpster fire with stars who seemingly do not want to take the floor and compete. Segments include: VetPhact, Prem's NFL Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
The Eagles head down I-95 for the first ever matchup between starters Jalen Hurts & Lamar Jackson, as the Ravens host the 4:25pm Sunday kickoff on CBS. Each team has Super Bowl expectations and are in position to make their run to the big game in February. The Eagles are winners of 7 straight contests with firm control of the NFC East, as Washington has taken a step back in recent weeks. Saquon Barkley is on a torrid pace and appears to be the front-runner for the MVP as well as a threat to topple 2000 yards on the ground. He will need to have another big game if the Eagles want to knock off the Ravens, who happen to boast the NFL's top run-stopping defense. It's strength versus strength in this interconference matchup of contenders and potential Super Bowl preview. The Flyers are playing good hockey and appear poised to make a run at the NHL Playoffs, while the Sixers continue to lose games at a pace we haven't seen in a decade of basketball. Segments include: VetPhact, Prem's NFL Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Tom Kelly of SportsRadio 94WIP on the VetLine to talk Eagles, Phillies & Sixers. The Eagles are in control of the NFC East and the defense is playing elite football. Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni continue to win despite spotty offensive play and the team is starting to look more like the contender we all expected them to be. With a mini-bye and then games against the Rams and Ravens, the Birds are in control of their own destiny and continuing to improve. From 2-2 to 8-2 is quite the feat in the NFL and barring injury, this team has a chance of returning to the Super Bowl. There is talk about the Phillies trading Alex Bohm and bringing in Alex Bregman to play 3rd. There is much intrigue this offseason regarding how they will or will not shake things up after a 3rd straight disappointing October. The Sixers are a disaster and losing fans by the day. Segments include: VetLine, VetPhact, & Prem's NFL Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
The Eagles have won 3 straight, with their most recent win coming over a formiddable opponent in their own house, the Bengals. The team looked cohesive and passionate as they blew out Joe Burrow. This week, Doug Pederson returns to the Linc with his struggling Jags team to try and get on track. Jalen Hurts has played turnover-free football for 3 weeks and has pushed the right buttons in tandem with playcaller and coordinator Kellen Moore. The NFC is wide open and the Birds are firmly in the mix. The Sixers are redefining the word joke, and it's a shame for the fanbase and the players. Nick Nurse is in a horrible position with no answers to give. If they want to turn it around, it may take more than some injured stars returning, but rather a change in organizational philosophy. Segments include: VetPhact, Prem's NFL Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Coggin of Crossing Broad on the VetLine for the Phils 2024 eulogy. Another October ends without a parade down Broad Street, as the bats go silent, the bullpen collapses, and a division-rival dismisses them in 4 games. Many questions about this team abound, the makeup of the guys, the mental toughness and ability to perform when lights are brightest. Only a handful of Phils came to play and the rest of the team was essentially a shell of their regular season form, a form which saw the team win 95 games, the 6th-most in a single season in franchise history. The Eagles host the woeful Browns off the bye week and are fully healthy after the layoff. Jalen Hurts has many doubters to prove wrong and it remains to be seen if he will. The defense needs to produce pressure and there is no better time to start than against one of the worst offenses in football thus far. Historically, Cleveland holds a 14-10 record in Philly, but have dropped 5 of the last 6 games against the Birds overall. Segments include: VetLine, VetPhact, Prem's NFL Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Matt Hamilton of FanDuel TV onto the VetLine to talk Eagles and go around the NFL. The Birds lose a terrible game in Tampa Bay and continue to struggle against the Bucs. There are many burning questions about this team as they limp into the bye. With a home matchup against Watson and the Browns out of the bye at the Linc on the horizon, a solid win is desperately needed to restore confidence in the team's Playoff outlook. Jalen Hurts may have a weapon or two back in the lineup and Lane Johnson as well. The Phils will face the Mets in the NLDS and it starts tomorrow at the Bank at 4:08 PM. The Mets stunned the Brewers and come in as the hottest 2nd half team in MLB. Expectations are high for a Phils team that won 95 games, has a phenomenal lineup & bullpen, and has reached at least the NLCS in two straight seasons. The big bats have to be active and Bryce must return to Showman-form for the Phils to win another pennant. Segments include: VetLine, VetPhact, & Prem's NFL Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Jason Martinez of Fox 29 Philadelphia back onto the VetLine to go 4 for 4. The Phillies are NL East Champions for the first time since 2011. The race for the NL's top spot is up for grabs with 3 games to play, as the Dodgers edged the Padres to take 2 of 3 this week as they head to Colorado to play a pesky Rockies team. The Phils are in DC for a set with an equally as pesky Nationals. With a third consecutive Red October coming up, the Phillies are on a mission with experience, focus, and plenty of talent. The key, as always in the postseason, will be pitching. The Birds head to Tampa for a rematch of the 2023 Wild Card Playoff game, which they dropped in embarrassing fashion. Down his top two wideouts, Jalen Hurts will have to summon his inner-Donovan to get it done, short-handed on the road in a hostile building. The run-game will be key, as the Bucs struggle in the Time Of Possession category, a category the Eagles have dominated during Sirianni's tenure. If Nick can get back to coaching fundamentals, the Birds have a chance to move to 3-1 on the early season. The defense looks to build on a dominant performance in the Big Easy last Sunday as their NFC South tour marches on. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, & Prem's NFL Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer on the VetLine to talk Fightins. With 16 games to go, they stand atop the MLB with the league's best winning percentage. The next stretch of 10 games vs the Mets and Brewers may determine their trajectory in October. The top seed in the NL is a coveted position to be in with teams like the Dodgers and Diamondbacks in the fold. As they work to get healthy, some unlikely characters have stepped up and gotten it done in thrilling fashion. The Eagles got a victory in Brazil and it wasn't easy. The Packers provided a formiddable challenge and Jalen Hurts committed costly turnovers. Despite the rust and poor decisions, he also made some remarkable plays and got it done late by icing the final 8 minutes of the game. Saquon was exceptional in his debut. The redzone defense was superb and kept them in it early. The next test is the true home opener vs the familiar Kirk Cousins and his new-look Atlanta Falcons on MNF. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, Prem's NFL Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Breland Moore of Fox 29 Philly on the VetLine to break down the Eagles 2024 season opener in Brazil versus the Green Bay Packers. With a renewed energy and revamped coaching staff, the Birds have high expectations, both from within the Novacare Complex and the fanbase. Jalen Hurts holds the keys to the proverbial kingdom and with the addition of Saquon Barkley and talented youth at the defensive back position via the Draft, it is all in front of them. The challenges of international travel are amplified when on the NFL stage and this Week One clash between expected NFC contenders is no exception. Segments include: VetLine, VetPhact, Prem's NFL Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Anthony DiRenzo, Digital Producer for Battleground News and formerly of 1210 WPHT, on the VetLine to talk Eagles and Phillies. The Birds suit up for their first meaningful 2024 game a week from today in Brazil, versus the Green Bay Packers. There are high expectations for a team with talent across the board and a revamped coaching staff. Jalen Hurts, coming off of a reportedly phenomenal Training Camp, will take the reins again as the Birds start their quest to get back to the Super Bowl. But what will the defense look like? We discuss. The Phillies complete an impressive comeback win last night against Atlanta and hold a commanding 6-game NL East Division lead as we head into September. Nick Castellanos again victimizes Atlanta with a key home run to put them away at the Bank. The question remains: can they win a World Series with this group? We will know soon enough. Segments include: VetLine, VetPhact, Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Rob Maaddi, AP Senior NFL Writer and MLB Hall-of-Fame voter on the Vetline. The Eagles kick off in Brazil versus Green Bay in just a few short weeks, and the Preseason is in full swing. There are interesting positional decisions yet to be made and some players have showcased their abilities well, while others certainly have not. Jalen Hurts and the first-team offense have not seen the field as the debate rages on regarding the implications of their absence. Vic Fangio's defense has been solid thus far against Baltimore and New England's Preseason rosters, but the regular season is a completely different beast to be tamed. The Phillies have bounced back from a horrendous July and early August to excite the fanbase once again. In consecutive wins they featured a Kyle Schwarber Grand Slam, a Weston Wilson cycle, and a Trea Turner walk-off hit. With Red October approaching, the optimism appears to be back in the clubhouse and amongst the fans. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, & Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Jon Marks on the VetLine to talk Vet Memories, Phils, Eagles & Sixers. The Phils are sliding fast. A once 9-game NL East lead has shrunk down to 5, and the Braves are getting hot. With a tough 10-game west coast road trip underway, anxiety is high among the fans and rightfully so. Bryce isn't hitting, the pitching has crumbled, and June feels like years ago. If they are to make a push to the World Series again, things have to turn around fast. The Eagles have high expectations and Training Camp is well underway. Reports are very encouraging and exciting. In 6 days they take the field for their preseason opener in Baltimore. The youth movement has been making leaps at camp and the retooled coaching staff appears to be on track thus far. An exhilarating season of Birds football could be on deck. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, & Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome BOOCHadelphia of Drunk On Broad Podcast on the VetLine to talk Phillies, Eagles & Sixers. The Phils gear up for the 2nd half, starting in Pittsburgh tonight against a Pirates team in the thick of the Wild Card race, with Aaron Nola on the mound. JT should return soon, the trade deadline could yield reinforcements, and they boast an 8.5 game NL East lead over the 2nd-place Atlanta Braves. With their August schedule being a bit of a gauntlet to start, these next few weeks are crucial to the Phils outlook heading into the final regular season stretch. The Eagles return next week and begin Training Camp with a new coaching administration taking the reigns on both offense and defense. Questions abound at every level of the defense, but there is no shortage of talent on the roster. The primary factor that will determine their 2024 success level is the play of Quarterback Jalen Hurts. Kellen Moore's system is QB-Friendly and Saquon Barkley provides the ultimate security blanket. The Sixers are retooled and appear to be improved, but the skepticism over their expectations is healthy and justified. Segments include: VetLine, VetPhact, Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Scott Grayson of Fox 29 Philly on the VetLine to talk Phils & Sixers. Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber have been struck by the injury bug, but they will be back sooner than later. The team has to pick up the production in their stead and it starts on the mound. The rotation is the best in baseball and Cristopher Sanchez put that on display with a complete game shutout on City Connect night. A lineup shuffle can present a variety of challenges for a baseball club, but the Phils have found ways to win this year regardless of the circumstances. As we approach the All-Star Break they have an 8-game division lead over the 2nd-place Braves. Meanwhile, the Sixers are a team on the decline with a general manager disconnected from reality. Daryl Morey seems to view the NBA through his own delusional lens. The NBA Draft was underwhelming, but we will see what Jared McCain brings to the table as an undersized NBA Guard. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, & Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome John Foley of PHLY Sports on the VetLine to talk Phils. They welcome in Arizona for an NLCS Rematch over the weekend. Cole Hamels retirement night will start it off and there should be great energy in the building. The Diamondbacks come in hot but still have much to prove, during a season where they have not performed like NL champs. As the trade deadline approaches it is abundantly clear that the outfield is lacking offensively. With the demotion of Rojas, the Phils have employed a platoon in LF and CF and there are big questions. To win a World Series you have to be solid from top to bottom. The Eagles are working their way towards Training Camp, which is still a month away. The comments coming out of the building have been interesting to say the least. The Sixers are in desperation mode, seemingly entertaining any and all acquisition possibilities. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Ben Silver of The Good Phight on the VetLine to talk Phils expectations at the deadline and overall outlook. Coming off a disappointing trip to Fenway, they travel down to Baltimore for 3 with the O's. Will they make the needed splash at the trade deadline, and will the catcher shuffle hold up enough until JT returns? They have a 9-game lead over the Braves to work with. The Eagles are inching closer to Training Camp and there has been buzz around Jalen Hurts' presser last week. The defense will truly be the key for the 2024 Eagles and Vic Fangio is on the job. Much remains to be resolved at Novacare in the upcoming months leading into preseason and the opener in Brazil. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Haley Taylor Simon on the VetLine to talk Phils, Birds, and Flyguys. The Phils are set to start a 2-game set in London with the rival NY Mets & then travel back to the states for two tough road series vs Boston & Baltimore. The pitching has been historically good, with 4 of the Phils 5 starters ranking in the Top-6 in the league in ERA. The best team in the National League faces a hard stretch of games as they look to maintain their 7.5 game division lead over the Braves, who have performed well below expectations. The Birds have wrapped up minicamp and the team is in an intriguing position on both sides of the ball. New systems are being installed by Fangio and Moore. The secondary will have a completely new look and mode of attack, thanks to the infusion of talented versatile youth. Up front, however, there will be concern over stopping the run and personnel depth. Offensively, it will be Jalen Hurts' task to learn fast and execute consistently if this team is to return to its 2022 Super Bowl form. There is excitement, reined in by skepticism. The Flyers are well into their offseason as they look to build on an impressive 2023 campaign which exceeded expectations. The roster is under some scrutiny as they move towards the Draft. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, & Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Emmy Award-Winning Editor for Sportscenter DaShawn Abrams on the VetLine to talk Eagles and Sixers offseason moves & expectations. Will Jalen Hurts, under new OC Kellen Moore, return to his 2022 form? We discuss his trajectory in the QB-Friendly system, as well as Vic Fangio's revamping of a defense which lacks size, but boasts speed and athleticism. Much work to be done prior to the opener in Brazil versus a young and dangerous Packers team. The Phils are the best team in baseball, on par with the 1927 Yankees offensively, along with a starting staff that is the best in the majors. Nola takes the mound for the opener against a Cards team he has fared well against, historically. This Sixers' offseason holds more unknowns than knowns, as the carousel of veteran stars rumored to be targeted is discussed ad nauseam. Joel Embiid's clock is ticking on bringing a championship to Philly. Segments include: VetPhact, Numbers Dont Lie, VetLine, & Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome John Stolnis of WHYY, The Good Phight & Bleeding Green, and Jason Martinez of Fox 29 Philly on the VetLine to talk the Phils record start & Eagles expectations. After being founded in 1883, this city has never seen a Phillies team more efficient through 51 games of a season. There is always a player who picks up the slack and gets it done, and they are nearly unbeatable in May. Staying healthy and hungry will be the key as we work into the thick of the schedule. The Eagles offseason is in full swing and camp is less than two months away. Jalen Hurts has a new offensive coordinator yet again, but with elite pieces around him, the expectation is that he returns to his 2022 form. The true test will be for Vic Fangio, as he takes over a defense that lacked killer instinct in 2023. Segments include: Around The Bases, VetPhact, VetLine, & Prem's MLB Picks.
Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Eytan Shander on the #VetLine to talk the Phils red-hot start and the Eagles 2024 schedule release. The Phillies have started 31-14, the 2nd-best start in franchise history. Winning at a torrid pace, the pitching has truly led the way and the hitting has been plentiful and timely. As we head into summer, the question will be health and if any deadline moves are made to bolster the bullpen. That may be the only slight weakness on this roster, save for Center Field. The Eagles start the year in Brazil against the Packers and then have a road-heavy slate into November, when Dougie P and the Jags come to town. Most predictions have them between 11-13 wins, but the ceiling for this team cannot be understated. How it gels will be the most important factor, yet again with new coordinators at the helm. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Chris Franklin of NJ dot Com on the #VetLine to talk Eagles offseason moves and NFL Draft picks. The new coordinators have addressed the media and the excitement level for effective change on both sides of the ball is potent. Howie again demonstrated his prowess during the Draft, moving, shaking, and getting value players from top to bottom. Jalen Hurts has the pieces around him and the secondary should be noticeably better. The Phillies are on fire. Boasting the best record in baseball, the pitching has been second to none and Ranger Suarez is a Cy Young front-runner. Time will tell if they can out-pace the NL East Champion Atlanta Braves for a Division Crown. The key, however, is if they can or cannot finish during another anticipated Red October. Segments include: VetPhact, Around The Bases, & Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Breland Moore of Fox 29 Philly on the VetLine to talk NFL Draft. The Eagles nail it with two top-flight defensive backs, Quinyon Mitchell & Cooper DeJean, while also adding a high-upside pass rusher, Jalyx Hunt. The defense is bolstered and the offense adds a highly-ranked running back from Clemson, Will Shipley. Compared to previous drafts especially, the fanbase should be thrilled with the result. In addition, Howie has amassed additional 2025 picks as assets for the much anticpated trade deadline and/or 2025 NFL Draft. How it works is always the burning question, but optimism is at a high point. The Sixers are fighting for their Playoff lives and host Game 4 at the Center tomorrow versus the Knicks. Phillies are in full swing and appear to be poised for a 3rd consecutive Red October. Segments include: VetLine, VetPhactCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Gary Sheffield Jr. on the VetLine to talk Phillies, Yankees, season expectations, rule changes, and MLB stories. The Phillies have heated up and get set for a weekend home series against the lowly White Sox. A sweep is expected and the offense should continue to get right. The pitching has been second to none. The Sixers prepare for their first round Playoff Series versus the Knicks, with Game One tomorrow at MSG. Can Joel Embiid and his oddball cast make the run we have all been waiting for? The NFL Draft is next week and the Eagles Front Office has another chance to shine, on the heels of successful drafts that netted DeVonta Smith, the trade for AJ Brown, and young stud Jalen Carter. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, & Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Luke Arcaini of Fox PHL Gambler on the VetLine to talk Phils. After a slow start they look to rebound in DC with Nola taking the ball. The hitting has been spotty and the bullpen has staggered out the gates. Bryce Harper has already provided the fans with a show, but sandwiched between 2 losses to Cincy. The Eagles gear up for the draft and have more work to do. The defense's potential effectiveness is up in the air as Vic Fangio assumes the role of leading it. Howie has something up his sleeve for the draft. Joel is back and he and Maxey have already pleased fans with a nice bounceback to possibly avoid the play-in game. 5 games left and now they all appear winnable. The Flyers are young and fighting for a postseason berth under Tortorella is locked in coaching these guys. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, Prem's MLB PicksCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Tim Kelly of Phillies Nation on the VetLine, as we are just 6 days away from the Phillies season opener at home against Atlanta on March 28. There are some unanswered questions regarding final roster cuts and adjustments, and we will have clarity soon on who will play centerfield. Johan Rojas is an intriguing situation for a few reasons, we discuss. Can this Phils team phinally hoist the ultimate October prize? They are in the mix as much as any MLB team in 2024 and relatively healthy. The Eagles offseason marches towards the Draft in April and Howie has supplemented his splash moves with some interesting depth additions, such as Zach Baun. The defense is still rather unfinished and fragmented. Much work to be done. The Flyers have life and appear to be entering the NHL Playoffs this year as a competitive squad. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLineCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem react to the whirlwind start of free agency as the Eagles front office performs superbly, signing Saquon Barkley, Bryce Huff, CJ Gardner-Johnson, Devin White, and more. Howie Roseman is more like RALLY ROSEMAN, and the roster is already primed for a better performance than 2023's devastating end. The playmakers are here and the Draft is yet to come, as there is a plethora of options for the Birds, thanks to the Draft capital amassed. The Phillies play meaningful baseball in just 2 weeks. After a healthy offseason, Bryce Harper will potentially be on the field for 162 and Trea Turner should start the season at a higher clip than his inaugural season here at CBP. The Sixers are a trainwreck and the Flyers have real promise. Segments include: VetPhactCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem look ahead to NFL Free Agency and evaluate the players available at positions of need for the Birds. There are multiple defenders they should be targeting to set Fangio up for success in Year One as Birds DC. The secondary should have a rather new look at the Safety spot as well as the slot, and possibly more. What will Howie do? There will be a new look and a new energy for this football team as they attempt to recapture the NFC Crown, and return to the Super Bowl. The Phillies are in full Spring mode and the season is approaching. Moves are still out there to be made and it's very possible that Dombrowski is not done adding bodies, another impact pitcher is there for the taking. Segments include: VetPhactCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome James Santore, the Chief Marketing Officer for our media partner Rithmm [THE place for AI-backed props & picks] on the VetLine to talk NBA, NFL, and some interesting futures rankings. Can the Phillies properly navigate Bryce's request for an extension? The conversation has been an active one this week and Spring Training is under way. There are valid cases for each decision, to extend or not to extend. The Sixers come out of the break to stumble at home vs the Knicks. Joel Embiid may be able to come back this season, but how dominant he is or isn't will be the key during the Playoffs. So far, the shooting of Buddy Hield has been as advertised. The Flyers are exciting and in Playoff position. Segments include: VetLine, VetPhactCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia on the VetLine to talk Sixers. They head into the break with much uncertainty about the future of star Joel Embiid, but showed signs of team chemistry down the stretch. The new faces are getting acclimated and the team has a nice array of talent. The question remains if they will remain in the non-play-in-game Playoff talk or not. The Phils are ready to get rolling again, as Spring Training is resuming in Florida. Zach Wheeler is talking extension and the tea, returns largely the same roster. Expectations should be high. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLineCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem discuss the Sixers interesting yet questionable trade deadline moves. While Morey has options he also has more questions as this team heads into the thick of the schedule with no Joel Embiid on the floor. We'll see what chemistry Maxey has with Hield, but the team has quickly done a 180 from previous expectations. The Eagles have some new faces on the coaching staff. Moore and Fangio will bring their play-calling philosphies in. Jalen Hurts has to play like an MVP again for this team to reach the summitt. Segments include: VetPhactCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Francisco Rojas of 94WIP on the VetLine to talk Eagles, Sixers, and even some Phils as we prepare for Spring Training. The final presser that closed the book on the 2023 Eagles was interesting, to say the least. Nick Sirianni seems to have been stripped of primary offensive duties and the question remains, what will the coaching staff actually look like come Training Camp? Vic Fangio takes over the defense in a strong move towards 'fixing' things, but personnel is the true key. Howie has to go to work if this team expects to return to a Super Bowl. The Sixers appear poised to eclipse the 2nd Round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs this season, as Joel Embid has posted numbers comparable to Wilt and some never seen before in the NBA. Will he have enough left come Playoff time or will it be more of the same? Phillies return in 19 days. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Andrew Salciunas of 97.5 The Fanatic Middays on the VetLine to talk Eagles Playoffs & Sixers. Can the Birds simply 'turn it on' in Tampa Bay, a team they have faced in the postseason more than any in franchise history? The Bucs have taken 3 of the previous 5 postseason clashes and Monday Night will be a battle. Despite success there in September, this Eagles team feels far removed from the team that flew down there in Week 3. The scheming on both sides of the ball has been under scrutiny and much debate. The question remains which Eagles team will take the field in a win or go home scenario. All hands on deck. The Sixers are one impactful trade away from being true Finals contenders this season. Daryl Morey has the most complete Sixers team in recent memory and Nick Nurse knows how to coach ball. The deadline approaches. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem welcome Ray Dunne from the 97.5 The Fanatic Midday Show on the VetLine to talk Birds and Sixers. Will the Eagles find some consistency as they wrap up their regular season schedule at MetLife? That turf is a liability as well, and the question about starters or backups rages on. It has been tumultuous & stressful for them for over a month as a team. Playoff bound, but likely on the road, the true question is whether or not the defense can figure it out in time for the Wild Card Round. AJ Brown spoke to the media after a noted period of silence and delivered his piece eloquently and professionally. He is a leader. The Sixers are exciting under Nick Nurse and appear poised to make a run for the Conference Finals, we hope. If Joel Embiid continues playing at this level, they can possibly shock the world. Segments include: VetLineCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem discuss the Eagles 3-game slide & look ahead to the final few weeks of the season. Drastic improvement is needed on both sides of the ball if they expect to challenge for another NFC Championship. The Giants come to town on Christmas Day with nothing to lose but a higher draft position. Division games are rarely a cakewalk regardless. Will Jalen round into postseason form in time for a run back to the Big Game, or could they possibly drop the Wild Card Round at home? The immediate future is murky for Sirianni's beleagured club. The Sixers are looking like a potential Eastern Conference Champion, as Embiid continues to break records setting new club marks and matching some of Wilt's ridiculous numbers. A trip past the 2nd Round looks possible if they continue on this path. The Flyers are competitive again and playing an exciting brand of hockey. Youth infused with tough coaching seems to be paying off. Segments include: VetPhactCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem discuss the Eagles upcoming critical matchup in Seattle on Monday Night Football. Can they finish strong & is this team still what we thought they were?
