Bill Ritter anchors the 5, 6, and 11 o'clock news on WABC Channel 7 Eyewitness News in New York. Bill took an interesting path into TV news. He was expelled from college in the 1970s while protesting the Vietnam War, and then ended up as a newspaper writer before landing his first on camera gig at age 37. He's been at WABC 21 years.
Jere Hester is a local news veteran, having spent 15 years as a city editor at the New York Daily News. He also worked at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism. Currently, he serves as editor in chief of The City, a new local news website supported by New York Magazine.
Steven Waldman is the co-founder of the non-profit Report for America, and the author of several books about religion. His most recent book involves the fight for religious freedom in America.
