Questions to ask yourself:
*1. What are the “benchmarks of contentment” in your walk with Jesus?*
2. What are you actively doing to pursue Christlike contentment and diminish selfish envy?
3. Where is the “impact for good” in my life because I am connected to the body of Christ?
4. What have I done through the love of Jesus to alleviate someone’s vulnerability to loneliness?
5. In what ways does the faithfulness of Jesus inform and empower faithfulness in your life?
6. How would people around you describe your faithfulness in knowing and following Jesus?

- Who helps you see your blind spots?
- I think that’s wrong but I wouldn’t know what to say.
Do I have the facts straight? (Proverbs 18:13)
Is my attitude right? (Ephesians 4:32)
Is my timing right? (Proverbs 15:23b)
Should I let love cover it? (1 Peter 4:8)
Have I prayed for God’s help? (Proverbs 3:5b)
Are my planned words loving? (Ephesians 4:15)

Looking at the Parable of the Good Samaritan, Pastor Brent challenges us to see those in need, attend to them, and love them well.
Some diagnostic questions to ask yourself:
- How am I loving others?
- Is my love convenient or inconvenient?
- When was the last time you inconvenienced yourself for someone who wasn’t a family member?
Our Keystone family prayer this week: God, through your Spirit in us, give us the ability to see those in need, the desire to help them, and the kind of love that is inconvenient.

The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector is a look at how we can stand in self-righteousness, un-righteousness, or Christ’s righteousness.
Which one of these “righteousness” buckets do you tend to fall into?
Job Righteousness: I’m a hard worker, so God will reward me.
Family Righteousness: Because I “do the right thing” as a parent, I’m more godly than parents who can’t control their kids.
Theological Righteousness: I have good theology. God prefers me over those who have bad theology.
Intellectual Righteousness: I am better read, more articulate, and more culturally savvy than others, which obviously makes me superior.
Schedule Righteousness: I am self-disciplined and rigorous in my time management, which makes me more mature than others.
Flexibility Righteousness: In a world that’s busy, I’m flexible and relaxed. I always make time for others. Shame on those who don’t!
Mercy Righteousness: I care about the poor and disadvantaged the way everyone else should.
Legalistic Righteousness: I don’t do “worldly” things. Too many Christians aren’t concerned about holiness these days.
Financial Righteousness: I manage money wisely and stay out of debt. I’m not like those materialistic Christians who can’t control their spending.
Political Righteousness: If you really loved God, you’ll vote for my candidate.
Tolerance Righteousness: I am open-minded and charitable toward those who don’t agree with me. In fact, I’m a lot like Jesus that way!
Choose to stand in Christ’s righteousness today!
