Rory Mcilroy got back into the winners circle this past week at the Scottish Open for the first time since October of 2022. After leaving a make-able birdie putt on the 16th hole to the low side, he trailed the hometown Scotsman Robert MacIntyre by 1 shot heading into the final 2 holes. After knocking in the birdie on 17 he was faced with a 210 yard approach to the 18th- the toughest hole on the PGA Tour and a hole that had only been birdied twice during the entire round. He knocked his 2 iron to 10 feet and sunk the putt for his 37th career professional win. Max Homa wins the Fortinet for a second year in a row on the 72nd hole which saw his competitor and leader of the event Danny Willett 3 putt from 6 feet after Max had chipped in for birdie. The Broncos fell short to Seattle Monday Night, so they drowned their sorrows in that and talked gambling stories for a while. After an extra year off the Ryder Cup returns to one of America's greatest tracks at Whistling Straights in Kohler, Wisconsin.
