In todays podcast I discuss after returning from Malta that I wanted to keep the holiday going and extend the positive present moments back into my day to day life. We can see beauty in the most mundane of moments and be present. Its also important to feel the negative moments and not try to fix or numb it straight away, your body is talking to you.
This week I talk about the small daily promises I kept each day which has helped grow self control & longer commitments I have made to ensure I stay on track when the January motivation starts to fade. I also talk about the moments I found myself on autopilot and cut off some unhelpful actions. 4 pounds down this week which is a great start - a big push on getting my sleep Back in order for the coming week.
I am not admitting failure because I have never given up - My foot may have been off the pedal however I never wrote myself off. Every now and then you need to take a step back and look at where your at, where you want to be and realize what needs to be done to bridge the gap. My eyes are opened I have planned my route so its time to get driving - Whos coming with me for a Road Trip?
In the spirit of me being called Lisa Marie after Elvis Presleys Daughter, this truly is a comeback special. Its been nearly a full year since I recorded a podcast and I want to update you on some of the things that have been going on and the latest lesson I learned after moving to Dublin. Environments change from time to time whether its physical or social and what may have been working for us before may not be the best option now and its important not to force it. Im loving my new environment but I had to take a look at what is optimal for me to adapt to achieve my fat loss goals.
On this weeks podcast I share the tricks to change your emotional state and the benefits I have found using them. I was feeling bloated and sorry for myself so I pulled up my big girl pants and broke the guilt cycle of shaming myself for over indulging. Have a listen to the podcast if you have ever felt like you ruined your progress after 1 meal, weekend. I am here to show you that you havnt.
In this weeks episode I talk about the importance of enjoying the journey. I use the analogy of binging a TV series in the space of a few days completing it and feeling that void and compare it to racing to your fat loss goals to miserable lengths to get to" il be happy when" only find that void. I give you tools to combat that and falling in love with the feeling of being in control of your own destiny.
This week I share how interrupting a pattern can be very difficult and painful but once you push through that barrier, its much easier the next time and the time after that. My mindless autopilot snacking in the evening has been ruining my progress for awhile now and it was about time I took control of it. Once I did it felt like I got back the reins of control and started to build confidence and belief in myself once again.
In this weeks episode I talk through the insights I learned from completing dry January and suggest trying delayed gratification and control with building confidence for yourself. Even with small things I found it a great way of enjoying things more and also feeling a sense of control.

Welcome back to the podcast for 2023. Kicking off with how we approach and look at our Goals. Often the journey is much longer then the desired event we are aiming for, for example 5 months to a 2 week holiday. What is the point in being too restrictive and not enjoying 5 entire months of your life, do you think you will truly enjoy those 2 weeks or will you beat yourself for over indulging because you looked at it all wrong in the first place. I share the approach I think is more balanced that I am using for my upcoming holiday.
This week I share the positives of not looking back in the past, not dreading or living for the future but being present in there here and now
This week I share the positives of not looking back in the past, not dreading or living for the future but being present in there here and now
This week I talk about trying to jump back into the process after returning from holidays, not to compensate for all the pasta I ate (because I regret nothing) but to make it easier to continue in my flow instead of leaving a long gap of what one weeks break would be compare to 3 or 4.
This week I talk about trying to jump back into the process after returning from holidays, not to compensate for all the pasta I ate (because I regret nothing) but to make it easier to continue in my flow instead of leaving a long gap of what one weeks break would be compare to 3 or 4.
This week I talk you through my recent struggle and how I needed to listen to what my body was screaming at me. Our body knows best in how to look after of us, of course we need to push through uncomfortableness at times and it does not understand that but when it is giving us clear signs that something missing or we need to adapt then hear it out.
This week I share my insight on finding my flow and guide you how to find yours that will get you closer too your end goal while taking the end goal out of your mind
After a very heavy day of snacking yesterday, in this weeks podcast I delve into some of the reasons behind snacking. We are all different in how we eat, what we eat, when we eat etc. Despite what you may hear there is no perfect time to eat or not to eat. If you eat x amount of calories in a day it does not matter in terms of fat loss if you spent them all on one sitting or what you spent them on. However, It might make you more likely to adhere if they were divided out equally throughout the day. If including that tasty snack you crave will also keep you going its so important to include them in your day to day.
This week I share some insights from my weekend on self love and off the scale wins which you can try and aim for too if you are caught in the weekend trap of feeling like you lose all progress during the weekend and start from scratch the following week. Listen now to try and break that cycle.
This week I discuss the importance of looking after our physical and mental health from my own experience and how they are both intertwined.
This week I discuss the pressure society and ourselves put on to become "beach body" ready for the summer months. This is an unrealistic aim to go from someone a few stone off their fat loss goal to become a bronzed babe with a 6 pack in 6 weeks. Lets not fall into the trap of restricting ourselves, feeling like a failure and not enjoying the few days of true relaxation in the sun or just getting away from daily duties for a few days. Holidays are for enjoying and this episode I guide you through some thinking traps you may fall into causing urgency once the summer months start approaching. Work towards feeling confident in your own skin while consistently making decisions to reach your goal while enjoying the over indulgence in the summer sun and go back to the process when you return.
In this weeks podcast I share my plan to share all the below daily through my instagram to make myself accountable to me and also to hopefully help others look inwards and create an element of accountability for themselves:
Daily off the scale wins,
Daily growth sharing areas I can improve on
Daily insights from books, podcasts etc
Daily Workouts
This weeks podcast sparked from Trishas Transformation sharing her struggle on her mindset. I couldnt put my finger on what was holding me back from really getting going and keeping going and it was the story I was telling myself I was avoiding the real truths and it hit me I had gone back to my old mindset.... Listen this week to hear all about the struggle and how the ball dropped.
This week I talk about checking in on your feelings instead of checking numbers on the scale and how I am reflecting on where I was then Vs where I am now
This week I share how exactly I bounced back and got my mind focused again. I share some of the pitfalls that you may fall into starting your journey and urge you to keep doing what your doing even if you still dont see results yet.
This week I give a very honest and raw account of why I have not been active sharing my journey on the podcast recently. I have been very hard on myself for putting on a stone weight but I have forgot all the amazing things that have been happening in my life at the same time. We often focus on the negative and beat ourselves up so I am working on trying to get my mindset back on track as I feel my self love has taken a hit. I have worked very hard on my mindset but when I stopped reflecting, reading, listening, journaling and meditating it just shows you can never stop working on yourself or you will regress back to old patterns. There is never a stopping point just a point that habits are easier to maintain when you get in a flow and are more difficult to start when you completely stop or are starting for the first time.
This week I discuss the mindset behind transitioning in life and how these life changes can actually help you jump start your journey
This week I discuss the pressure around our calendars filling up coming upto the holidays but break down how much time we actually have and can still get our routine in check, reduce bloating and even drop a few pounds to feel great around the holiday period which will put us in a great place to drive forward again in the new year.
New year new you is bullshit so dont binge now until Christmas and think that suddenly youll change - theres always a reason not to start but when you see the changes there are so many more reasons to continue
This week I use an analogy to help you come to terms with the factors you need to consider when starting your journey.

This week I discuss how fear can be crippling too us and share my thoughts on how we can overcome it. If we are worried for so long that something may happen and we spend all that time miserable, one or 2 things will happen. Our fear came true and we just spent longer in misery or we just wasted years of our life worrying just to figure out our worst fears didnt come true.
This week I talk about the wins I have made over the last week by taking control of my own journey to reign myself in and be the person I want to be and how you can apply this to your own life.
This week I ask you to face yourself and all that you dont like or what you want to change in yourself. When we avoid our shortcomings we are prolonging the pain and robbing ourselves happiness.
This week I talk about how looking for accountability for yourself through tracking or an app or with the help of someone else is intrinsically linked with habit building. You should be focusing on using this tool to help you cement habits moving you towards your goal instead of using a PT to just focus on weight loss results - its the process that gets you there.

This week I help you decipher from your own thoughts and beliefs about yourself and the other voice in your head
This week I share some struggles iv been going through and want to share my thought process with you which will hopefully help you. Putting on a few pounds is more than the scales but the feeling, the lack of routine, bloating, lack of sleep and recovery, not feeling strong, identity struggles and so many other things. We can catastrophize or we can be aware and say I had my fun, let my eye off the ball and I just need to reign it back in again and get my habits back. This week I talk about the bullshit quick fixes bottled up and sold to vulnerable people. The quick fixes led to long term fat gain & a distorted relationship with food and the ling term approach leads to long term results. Which result do you want? Patience is the key here Disclaimer on the language on this one

The journey is not linear, just like our lives are not. We need to be able to adapt our food, workouts, habits and everything else in response to different things changing. We can crumble when things seem a little outside our control because we catastrophize and think we have ruined progress but in fact its how you deal with adapting that will give you strength and confidence in yourself. Giving up is not and option. You can quit a diet - you cant quit a journey. Stay on the journey and grow along the way. Let me know below what you think of this weeks episode.
