The wait is over! James Gunn and Peter Safran have unveiled the first ten interconnected DC Studios projects—five movies and five HBO Max TV series. And yes, we said interconnected. All ten of them are set within the same shared universe and will frequently share characters.
Chapter 1 will be called "Gods and Monsters", and so far they have only announced part of the first chapter! Here is all that is coming so far (in order):

Happy spooky season Misfit Gang! With Halloween just around the corner, Pedro and Aidan have decided to do a review of the comic book series, Batman: The Long Halloween! The Long Halloween is a 13-issue comic book limited series written by the dynamic duo of Jeph Loeb with art by Tim Sale. It was originally published by DC Comics in 1996 and 1997.
Taking place during Batman's early days of crime-fighting, The Long Halloween tells the story of a mysterious killer named Holiday, who murders people on holidays, one each month. This classic whodunit story is a must-read for any and all fans of the Caped Crusader!

It stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi alongside Awkwafina, Meng'er Zhang, Fala Chen, Florian Munteanu, Benedict Wong, Michelle Yeoh, Ben Kingsley, and Tony Leung. In the film, Shang-Chi is forced to confront his past after he is drawn into his father's Ten Rings organization.

Sinestro Corps War is a comic book crossover event published by DC Comics in its Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps titles.
Written by Geoff Johns and Dave Gibbons and drawn by Ivan Reis, Patrick Gleason, and Ethan Van Sciver, the 11-part saga was originally published between June and December 2007.
The story centers on the Green Lanterns of Earth—Hal Jordan, Kyle Rayner, John Stewart and Guy Gardner—and the rest of the Green Lantern Corps as they fight an interstellar war against the Sinestro Corps, an army led by the former Green Lantern Sinestro who are armed with yellow power rings and seek a universe ruled through fear. A 1986 Alan Moore "Tales of the Green Lantern Corps" story was the thematic basis of the storyline. Many characters were changed, killed off, or re-introduced as a result of the event.

Watchmen, created by writer Alan Moore, artist Dave Gibbons and colorist John Higgins, was published by DC Comics in 1986 and 1987, and collected in a single volume edition in 1987. Watchmen originated from a story proposal Moore submitted to DC featuring superhero characters that the company had acquired from Charlton Comics. As Moore's proposed story would have left many of the characters unusable for future stories, managing editor Dick Giordano convinced Moore to create original characters instead.

Aidan makes his return to Comic Misfits as he and Pedro chat all things about Alan Moore's classic storyline, Batman: The Killing Joke.
Batman: The Killing Joke is a 1988 one-shot graphic novel featuring Batman and the Joker written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Brian Bolland. The Killing Joke provides an origin story for the supervillain the Joker, loosely adapted from the 1951 story arc "The Man Behind the Red Hood!". The Joker's origin is presented via flashback, while simultaneously depicting his attempt to drive Jim Gordon insane and Batman's desperate attempt to stop him.
Created by Moore, Bolland, and Higgins as their own take on the Joker's source and psychology, the story became famous for its origin of the Joker as a tragic character; a family man and failed comedian who suffered "one bad day" that finally drove him insane. Moore stated that he attempted to show the similarities and contrasts between Batman and the Joker. The story's effects on the mainstream Batman continuity also included the shooting and paralysis of Barbara Gordon (Batgirl), an event that eventually leads her to develop the identity of Oracle.

In episode 34 we take a break from talking DC Comics and jump over to Marvel to talk all things Daredevil: Born Again.
Born Again is a 1986 comic book story arc that appeared in the Marvel Comics series Daredevil.
Written by the GOAT Frank Miller, and drawn by David Mazzucchelli, the storyline first appeared in Daredevil #227–231. It was later reprinted in graphic novel format along with the previous issue #226, and a follow-up story arc from Daredevil #232–233, which resolves some loose ends from the original story arc (But does it really though?). Because of this, this follow-up story arc has become generally considered part of "Born Again".
The story details Daredevil's descent into insanity and destitution at the Kingpin's hands, as well as a subsequent struggle to build a new life for himself.

As the world continues to adapt to the new normal, the Variant Podcast will begin to go over the entire DC Animated Universe films, starting with the 2013 classic by Jay Oliva, Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.
Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox is a direct-to-video animated film adaptation of the 2011 comic book crossover "Flashpoint" by Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert. It is scripted by Jim Krieg and directed by Jay Oliva. The film stars Justin Chambers as Barry Allen / Flash, C. Thomas Howell as Eobard Thawne / Professor Zoom, Michael B. Jordan as Victor Stone / Cyborg, and Kevin McKidd as Thomas Wayne / Batman.
The film also sees actors reprising roles from other DC animated properties, including Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Nathan Fillion as Hal Jordan / Green Lantern, Ron Perlman as Deathstroke, Dana Delany as Lois Lane, Vanessa Marshall as Princess Diana / Wonder Woman and Dee Bradley Baker as Etrigan.
The film is the 17th film in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies series and the first film of the DC Animated Extended Universe.
