There are many things in life worthy of our time and energy, and yet none are more important than our personal journey to "come unto Christ."
There is a powerful connection with the powers of the Holy Priesthood also known as the Melchizedek Priesthood, and receiving revelation, calling and election made sure, sealing power, and every other blessing and power under heaven. For this priesthood is the supreme power from which all others are derived. Below are many teachings from Joseph Smith and others showing these powerful connections. As you read each one, let the spirit begin to open your eyes, heart, and mind to the power that it contains. Then kneel before God and plead for more strength and power to yield this power more righteously, that it can change and transform you into an instrument in His hands to bring about much good in this generation.

Stand ye in holy places, and be not moved - Doctrine and Covenants 87:8 - Come, Follow Me Ponderize and Commentary
Wherefore, stand ye in holy places, and be not moved, until the day of the Lord come; for behold, it cometh quickly, saith the Lord. Amen.
It is not enough to have stood in holy places before, you must stand and not be moved.
I simply love what Brigham Young said in one of his discourses.
"I have come to this conclusion, which I have preached for years and years and years, and Joseph preached it up to the time of his death, that the people must leave Babylon and confusion behind them, and be the servants and handmaidens of the Lord; they must be His family. They have gathered out from Babylon, and they must prepare themselves to stand in holy places, preparatory to the coming of the Son of Man. I have been watching and waiting, just as steadily, and as earnestly and faithfully as ever a mother watched over an infant child, to see when this people would be ready to receive the doctrine, or the first lessons or revelations given when the Center Stake of Zion was first located to consecrate their property, and be indeed the servants and handmaidens of the Lord, and labor with all their hearts to do His will and build up His kingdom on the earth..."
We have to be all in and completely converted unto the Lord. We are gods in embryo, and with that comes the awesome responsibility of actually doing the work to become like God. We must be striving for that goal each and everyday of our lives. President John Taylor put it this way:
God has called us to stand in holy places, and has placed upon us the responsibility of the Priesthood. He expects us to be as true to that Priesthood and to the administration thereof as the Gods are in the eternal worlds.
Wow, what a great quote! Let us all step up our game a bit more and be more aligned with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Let us always stand in holy places and be not moved, no matter what comes our way. Let us always stand for Christ and be a witness of Him in all our thoughts, words, and deeds.

Every one that hearkeneth to the voice of the Spirit - D&C 84:47 - Come, Follow Me Ponderize and Commentary
Doctrine and Covenants 84:47 And every one that hearkeneth to the voice of the Spirit cometh unto God, even the Father.
43 And I now give unto you a commandment to beware concerning yourselves, to give diligent heed to the words of eternal life.
Not just a little heed/obedience or not occasional heed, but diligent heed is what is required.
44 For you shall live by every word that proceedeth forth from the mouth of God.
What are the sources where we can find the word of the Lord? For sure our scriptures, General Conference talks, and church magazines, but the Lord will now share with us one of the most impactful sources for us personally.
45 For the word of the Lord is truth, and whatsoever is truth is light, and whatsoever is light is Spirit, even the Spirit of Jesus Christ. 46 And the Spirit giveth light to every man that cometh into the world; and the Spirit enlighteneth every man through the world, that hearkeneth to the voice of the Spirit. 47 And every one that hearkeneth to the voice of the Spirit cometh unto God, even the Father.
Obedience to personal revelation through the Light of Christ is how we come unto God, even the Father. As we learn to hear and obey and then we will be given more and more light, until we are like unto Christ. Decide today to hear and obey more diligently.
Craig
Let not your minds turn back; and when ye are worthy, in mine own due time, ye shall see and know that which was conferred upon you by the hands of my servant Joseph Smith, Jun. Amen.
The footnote for turn, takes us to Doctrine and Covenants 133:14–15. This is talking about our day and for those preparing for the bridegroom to come.
14 Go ye out from among the nations, even from Babylon, from the midst of wickedness, which is spiritual Babylon. 15 But verily, thus saith the Lord, let not your flight be in haste, but let all things be prepared before you; and he that goeth, let him not look back lest sudden destruction shall come upon him.
So, there are two aspects of this, one is spiritual and the other is physical. “For I, the Lord God, created all things, of which I have spoken, spiritually, before they were naturally upon the face of the earth” (Moses 3:5). We will be asked to physically flee Babylon, but before we will even want to physically flee, we must spiritually flee Babylon or wickedness. We learn from Lot’s wife, how absolute we must flee and not turn back in our minds or physically.
Genesis 19:12–17, 24-26 12 And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place: 13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it. 14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law. 15 And when the morning arose…continue at https://spiritualcrusade.com/2021/07/let-not-your-minds-turn-back-doctrine-and-covenants-6714-come-follow-me-ponderize-and-commentary.html

Doctrine and Covenants 58:2
For verily I say unto you, blessed is he that keepeth my commandments, whether in life or in death; and he that is faithful in tribulation, the reward of the same is greater in the kingdom of heaven.
There are really 3 parts to this scripture that I would like to discuss.
blessed is he that keepeth my commandments
whether in life or in death
he that is faithful in tribulation, the reward of the same is greater in the kingdom of heaven
Blessed is he that keepeth my commandments
Commandments are divinely given rules to follow. And why do we even have them in the first place? For sure we will be judged by them at the great and last day. But surely, there is more to it than just a list of rules to follow just to follow them?
If you follow the footnotes it takes us to Psalm 19:9–11
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
The fact that the judgments or the commandments being judged upon are desired more than fine gold or sweet honey, is very instructive. If we back up just 2 verses...(Continue Reading on the web https://spiritualcrusade.com/2021/05/blessed-is-he-that-keepeth-my-commandments-doctrine-and-covenants-582-come-follow-me-ponderize-commentary.html)

Podcast by: Craig Conover
Who will gather his people even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, even as many as will hearken to my voice and humble themselves before me, and call upon me in mighty prayer.
The Roman historian Plutarch taught, "And we have before our eyes every day the manner in which hens care for their brood, drooping their wings for some to creep under, and receiving with joyous and affectionate clucks others that mount upon their backs or run up to them from every direction; and though they flee from dogs and snakes if they are frightened only for themselves, if their fright is for their children, they stand their ground and fight it out beyond their strength.”
Mother hens would rather die protecting their chicks than to protect their own life. How applicable it is, for the Savior to compare Himself to a hen, for He truly fought for and died for us. Through the power of the Father, He was resurrected and now stands at His right hand. The decision to be gathered unto Him is ours.

My wisdom is greater than the cunning of the devil - Doctrine and Covenants 10:43 - Come, Follow Me Ponderize and Commentary Podcast by: Craig Conover
Doctrine and Covenants 10:43 43 I will not suffer that they shall destroy my work; yea, I will show unto them that my wisdom is greater than the cunning of the devil. Dictionary.com defines cunning as: “skill employed in a shrewd or sly manner, as in deceiving; craftiness; guile.” Cunning men often pass as wise men, or at least attempt or desire too. Satan, desires and attempts to pass off as wise, but regardless how hard he attempts and desires to be wise, he is not. Dictionary.com defines wisdom as: “the quality or state of being wise; knowledge of what is true or right coupled with just judgment as to action; sagacity, discernment, or insight.” Satan will always follow after his own agenda or desires in a cunning way, and he will not conform to truth unless it conforms to his will. Those two cannot walk side by side each other, for they are polar opposites. The best he can do is to mingle in truth and scripture into his teachings, but rest assured they will always be bent and twisted to be in alignment with his teachings. God is filled with wisdom for He is the embodiment of truth. We would be wise to learn to embody the will, mind, and voice of God. We do this through receiving and obeying personal revelation, which will never lead us astray. Orson Hyde had this to say about personal revelation. Jesus says, “Whosoever falleth upon this stone shall be broken.” Matt. 21:44 What stone does he refer to? The Lord says to his disciples, “Whom say ye that I am?” Peter answers—“Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus indicated to Peter that he had spoken truly by saying unto him, “Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: flesh and blood hath not revealed this unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock will I build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matt. 16:15-18 This stone or rock was the word of God revealed unto Peter. Present revelation from God, then, is the stone or rock which our Savior spoke of. Any church or any people built upon this foundation cannot be prevailed against by any power, for one obvious reason: whenever a people are built upon this foundation and they get into trouble and difficulty, they will ask the Lord to show them the way out; and being built upon present revelation and in communion with God, he will tell them what to do. His [p. 235b] wisdom is greater than the cunning of the Devil, D&C 10:43 and consequently the gates of hell cannot prevail against them. Any people built upon this foundation are hard to head, though their numbers may be small. The ancient church was never overcome until they lost this principle of present revelation. Then they were prevailed against and fell away, because they ceased to build upon this foundation—the stone or rock of present revelation. Solomon says—“Where no vision is, the people perish.” Prov. 29:18 Let us never be overcome as we learn to obtain the wisdom of God through personal revelation. Craig

I had seen a vision and I could not deny it – Joseph Smith—History 1:25 – Come, Follow Me Ponderize and Commentary
I am seriously blown away, with how many people that I know who have so called “lost their testimony in the Church of Jesus Christ.” Our testimony is like unto a tree that we planted and used to water, and give great attention to. It doesn’t just get lost, it dies from neglect. We don’t loose our testimonies, we stop nourishing them, next we begin neglecting them, then rationalize them away, and finally, we deny them.
We can learn so much from Joseph Smith and holding fast to his testimony even amid persecution and being hated for it.

This week in our podcast we discuss how to be guided by the Holy Ghost during this time of “unusual excitement”, when we are bombarded by the “war of words”, coming at us from every platform possible. There is light and direction in the darkness of the storm, which is illuminated as we turn to Christ!
The Lord pleads with us to listen to him and he promises to guide us through the trials and temptations of the world. We need to be aware of what our focus is in life, and be careful not to put our trust in the arms of flesh. Repentance will bring our will together with the Lords, so that we can humbly receive instruction from the Lord.
The Lord introduces the Doctrine and Covenants to the world. What a special gift and what a great preface to our Come, Follow Me studies this year. Let us be prayerful as we study these modern day revelations and allow the Holy Ghost to testify where we can change our lives.
We can prepare ourselves to be tight like a dish so that during the storms of life we are able to keep the waters of discouragement, unbelief, and frustration out, As we do this we can help those around us to be tight like a dish as well.
I am so excited about what we learn from these chapters! This week in our podcast we are going to talk about the example of the Jaradites on building our “armor of God” tight like a dish—where trust, faith, hope, and charity help us be resistant to the storms of life. We learn that the light of Christ can dwell with us through the darkest deepest moments.
Having this perfect knowledge of God, he could not be kept from within the veil - Ether 3:20 - Come, Follow Me Ponderize Commentary Podcast by: Craig Conover
Having this perfect knowledge of God, he could not be kept from within the veil - Ether 3:20 - Come, Follow Me Ponderize Commentary
Wherefore, having this perfect knowledge of God, he could not be kept from within the veil; therefore he saw Jesus; and he did minister unto him. The story of the brother of Jared is an all time favorite of mine. I always found it interesting that for such an amazing man, he was never specifically named, except simply as the brother of Jared. Well, in 1834, that changed when Joseph Smith revealed his real name, Mahonri Moriancumer. From the beginning, he had great power with God, for he was "highly favored of the Lord" (Ether1:34). He prayed and received an answer to his prayer, in which, God did not confound the language of his family, Jared's family and their friends family at the tower of Babel. The Lord also promised to lead them to a land of promise, "which is choice above all the lands of the earth. And there will I bless thee and thy seed, and raise up unto me of thy seed, and of the seed of thy brother, and they who shall go with thee, a great nation. And there shall be none greater than the nation which I will raise up unto me of thy seed, upon all the face of the earth. And thus I will do unto thee because this long time ye have cried unto me" (Ether 1:42-43).

No unclean thing can enter into his kingdom - 3 Nephi 27:19 - Come, Follow Me Ponderize Commentary And no unclean thing can enter into his kingdom; therefore nothing entereth into his rest save it be those who have washed their garments in my blood, because of their faith, and the repentance of all their sins, and their faithfulness unto the end. This is such an amazing scripture and I can't wait to dive into some of it's deeper meaning. The first thing to understand is what does "his rest" mean, because at first glance it is easy to agree that no unclean thing can enter into the celestial kingdom of God. Although, that is true, we can’t just check out there. We must not think that we have time to repent of all our sins, learn to obey and be faithful, and one day, down the road before we die, become clean. Let’s follow the footnote for rest and see what D&C 84:24 can teach us about his rest. To more fully understand what is being taught in verse 24, we need to actually start in verse 19. Except the Lord doth chasten his people - Helaman 12:3 - Come, Follow Me Ponderize and Commentary Podcast by: Craig Conover “And thus we see that except the Lord doth chasten his people with many afflictions, yea, except he doth visit them with death and with terror, and with famine and with all manner of pestilence, they will not remember him.” This is so sad and yet so true. We tend to remember the Lord more often when we are in need of His help and blessings. We can and must flip that around in our lives and remember the Lord always, especially since we covenant with Him every week as we partake of the sacrament. When we flip that around, instead of our trials, afflictions, and chastisements serving as a means for us to remember Him, they will begin to be a catalyst to draw us evermore closer and closer to Him. I am so excited about what we learn from these chapters! This week in our video and podcast we are going to talk about...The power of repentance as it brings us to the Saviors love and His redeeming power.
What an amazing gift that the Lord has given us...living prophets to protect, guide, and teach us throughout our earthly lives. As we listen to and follow the prophet with more exactness-we will be able to do and be a little better each day!
I am so excited about what we learn from these chapters! This week in our podcast we are going to talk about...The blessings of following the Lord and listening to the prophet. We learn that change is important and helps us progress. The Lord always keeps His promises!
I am so excited about what we learn from these chapters! This week in our podcast we are going to talk about...The importance remembering who we are and remembering to stay focused on Christ. As we stand for truth and righteousness with courage, and look to the Lord for strength, we will see His loving hand in our lives and feel his peace and joy.
Moroni is an incredible example of how to fortify against the enemy. As we follow his advise we will build a foundation in Christ where Satan has no power.
If all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni - Alma 48:17 - Come, Follow Me Ponderize and Commentary
As much as I love this verse and this great man, it cannot be read without verse 18.
Behold, he was a man like unto Ammon, the son of Mosiah, yea, and even the other sons of Mosiah, yea, and also Alma and his sons, for they were all men of God.
All of these men were great men and most importantly, men of God and heros of mine. But, I believe there is a specific purpose in Mormon giving this great Chief Captain Moroni so much specific praise. I believe that it is for our day and time. Mormon is saying that if we were like unto Moroni, "the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men." The devil and all the powers of hell are combined against us right now both spiritually and in the elimination of our freedoms. Mormon is teaching us a great sermon, that our freedoms are inseparably tied to or connected to our spirituality and the binding of the devil and his works of darkness. I am so excited about what we learn from these chapters! This week in our podcast we are going to talk about... - How to apply the war chapter of the Book of Mormon to our spiritual lives -How to fortify our faith to withstand the adversaries -Moroni’s incredible example -How to conquer contention -How to stand for truth and righteousness
The great plan of happiness was designed for us and we agreed to it pre-morally. Satan wants nothing more than to distract us from our eternal goals. Through Christ’s atonement we have every tool we need to stop the adversary and to look forward to Christ and his love. As we do we will bring others with us! That is true happiness! This week let’s focus on who we are!
Now, the decrees of God are unalterable; therefore, the way is prepared that whosoever will may walk therein and be saved.
I find it so interesting, that people are always trying to conform God’s teachings and requirements to meet or be in alignment with their own wills and desires, rather than conforming their wills and desires to meet God’s teachings and requirements? The question is, do we do this same thing in our own way? Do we try to rationalize away the decrees of God or rather try to bend and twist them to somehow encompass or include our thinking, desires, and actions? Here it is now, loud and clear, “the decrees of God are unalterable!” That means they can’t be changed, bent, or twisted to be or include anything outside of what they are and what they include.... And I have been supported under trials and troubles of every kind, yea, and in all manner of afflictions; yea, God has delivered me from prison, and from bonds, and from death; yea, and I do put my trust in him, and he will still deliver me.
Trust in God, is one of the greatest character traits that we can develop while in this life. Trust is developed through faith and experiences. These developing experiences range from powerful spiritual experiences to heart wrenching hardships in our lives. Our development of trust is proportionate to our ability to endure well, and as we endure well and develop greater faith we come to know God more and more. Elder Stanley G. Ellis said... This week as we read the sweet lecture that Alma gave his sons, we can see the pure and precious truths of the simplicity and sure plan of Jesus Christ. Let’s focus on the small and simple things that will ultimately bring greatness in our lives.
I love Alma, in these chapters he gives us a little pep talk —helping us understand the sweet joy that can only come from having Christ at the center of our lives. -How we are enough, the Lord works with small and simple things to create greatness. -The importance of the Spirit of Discernment and Following the Holy Ghost. -The importance of Good works. -And a Quick, perfect sermon on prayer. Remember to LOOK TO GOD AND LIVE!!!
Nourish the word and it shall be a tree springing up unto everlasting life – Alma 32:41 – Come, Follow Me Ponderize and Commentary
“We have been sent here to work out our individual salvation through the tests and challenges of daily life. We cannot do that by relying heavily upon the borrowed light of someone else’s testimony.” (Elder Donald L. Staheli, “Securing Our Testimonies”)
We must personally plant the seed or the word of God in our own hearts. But, planting the word in our hearts is not sufficient. It is like registering for college and then never attending any classes. No knowledge is gained, no degree will be obtained, and no transformation will occur. If you want the seed or word to grow into a tree and bear fruit, we must nourish it “by your faith with great diligence, and with patience, looking forward to the fruit thereof.“ ....Continue Reading https://spiritualcrusade.com/2020/07/nourish-the-word-and-it-shall-be-a-tree-springing-up-unto-everlasting-life-alma-3241-come-follow-me-ponderize-and-commentary.html
This week let’s experiment upon God’s word, and increase our faith as we trust Him to guide us and to help us turn our weaknesses into strengths. We will develop an increased trust in the Savior’s love for us as we turn to Him in constant prayer. This life is the time to prepare to meet God! :)
I am so excited about what we learn from these chapters! This week in our video and podcast we are going to talk about planting a seed of faith, and allowing it to grow into a tree of delicious fruit. This is a time to prepare to meet God, which is made possible through humility and continual prayer—asking for strength from the Lord.
This week in our podcast we are going to talk about choosing everyday to follow Christ, even when we are faced with opposition. We also learn that we are comforted and strengthened as we lean upon the words of God, and turn to Him in fervent-sincere prayer.

They taught with power and authority of God - Alma 17:2–3 – Come, Follow Me Ponderize and Commentary
These verses fill my soul with such incomprehensible joy, because we too have this great opportunity to prepare ourselves that we too can have the Spirit of prophecy, and the spirit of revelation, and when we teach, we can teach with power and authority of God. Be sure to listen to this podcast to figure out how we can accomplish this.
https://spiritualcrusade.com/2020/07/they-taught-with-power-and-authority-of-god-alma-172-3-come-follow-me-ponderize-and-commentary.html
We can learn from the example of the Anti-Nephi-Lehi’s how to keep our commitment to the Lord firm, how to patiently share the joy of the gospel, and how to trust the Lord without hesitation:
As we turn to the Lord He will be our strength and we will desire to bring His light to others, and our joy will be full!
Humble yourselves before God - Alma 13:13 – Come, Follow Me Ponderize and Commentary
And now, my brethren, I would that ye should humble yourselves before God, and bring forth fruit meet for repentance, that ye may also enter into that rest.
This whole chapter of Alma 13 is simply amazing. There is just so much goodness and deep doctrine contained in these verses, that we could write chapters on it. Today, we will only scratch the surface, but ultimately I believe that this verse contains some of the biggest key factors to unlocking the whole chapter.
The first key, is to “humble yourselves before God.” This is the first key because everything else hinges from this. Humility or being humble, is the opposite of pride.
Ezra Taft Benson said, “Essentially, pride is a “my will” rather than “thy will” approach to life. The opposite of pride is humbleness, meekness, submissiveness (see Alma 13:28) or teachableness.”

Learn from Ammon how we can become instruments for the Lord in the gathering of Israel. We learn 5 main characteristics we can develop as we desire to share the joy of the gospel with others.
The Power of Faith gives us hope, confidence, and trust in the Lord’s plan. It is the power that miracles are performed, redemption is understood, and repentance is possible.
I love the theme of deliverance!! In this week we see a physical deliverance as Alma and Amulek are delivered out of prison and we see a spiritual deliverance as Zeezrom is spiritually delivered from his pain and anguish of his past life. This week I also say my goodbyes as I pass the baton onto my sister and her daughter who will be continuing these videos starting next week. Thank you all for joining me on this journey. ❤️
He that will not harden his heart—is given the greater portion of the word - Alma 12:10 – Come, Follow Me Ponderize and Commentary
Elder Gerald N. Lund in his talk, “Opening Our Hearts,” explains how connected our hearts are in receiving revelation which is the same as receiving divine knowledge.
“We feel things in our hearts. In the scriptures, the prophets teach that personal revelation is closely linked to the heart. For example:
“Mormon taught, “Because of meekness and lowliness of heart cometh the visitation of the Holy Ghost.” Moroni 8:26... We have every reason to Lift our heads, and look to the Lord with faith and trust. This is where our greatest joy is found—even during difficult times. As we humbly follow him, and choose to be His disciple we will be strengthened.
Awake!! Remember!! Christ’s redeeming love. Those moments will carry us through the mists of darkness that can make us feel alone.
These chapters are so incredible because they teach us so many important truths! In this weeks video and podcast we are going to see missionary companionship at its finest as Amulek joins Alma in teaching the people. And from them we are going to learn about resurrection, judgment and life after judgment. Join me as we dive deep into these wonderful chapters. I love what Marion G Romney said about Alma’s experiences:
No one can read Alma’s resumé of the experiences of his father with the saints who joined the church at the waters of Mormon; of the Lord’s mercy and long-suffering in bringing them out of their spiritual and temporal captivity; of how by the power of the Holy Spirit, they were awakened from their deep sleep of death to experience a mighty change wrought in their hearts—no one, I say, can contemplate this marvelous transformation without yearning to have a like change wrought in his own heart. Alma 5:14... Continue reading https://spiritualcrusade.com/2020/06/have-ye-experienced-this-mighty-change-in-your-hearts-alma-514-come-follow-me-ponderize-and-commentary.html
As we pray for the strength needed to survive the trials that we face, we will be empowered with steadfast and immovable faith and patience. We are not alone, the Lord is by our side.
I love these chapters so much! In these chapters Alma is going to ask some incredible questions that allow us to really look deep inside and see where we are at on our spiritual journey. Come join our video and podcast and take a deeper look at these chapters.
What was the great trial spoken of here? It was the trial of persecution of the church and with that persecution “the hearts of many were hardened, and their names were blotted out, that they were remembered no more among the people of God. And also many withdrew themselves from among them. (Alma 1:24)”
How quickly did many forget the goodness and mercy of God. Only 32-57 years had passed since Alma, who is the leader of their church, led his people out of great bondage in which “none could deliver them but the Lord their God...” (Mosiah 23:23)... This week in our video and podcast we are going to see the beginning of the reign of the judges. We are also going to be introduced to two anti-Christ’s, Nehor and Amlici. Alma decides to give up being the chief judge and goes to preach to the people because of all the wickedness.
Whosoever putteth his trust in Him - Mosiah 23:22 - Come, Follow Me Ponderize and Commentary
Nevertheless—whosoever putteth his trust in him the same shall be lifted up at the last day. Yea, and thus it was with this people.
If someone wants to be lifted up at the last day, or in other words, brought back into the presence of the Father, one must put his or her trust in God. This really got me thinking about the word trust...

This week in our video and podcast we are going to see Alma the younger and the sons of Mosiah completely turn their lives around and become great missionaries.
He is the light and the life of the world - Mosiah 16:9 - Come, Follow Me Ponderize and Commentary
What a powerful scripture and one we should all memorize. It is impossible to cover all aspects of this scripture in this short commentary, but as I thought about this scripture, I kept thinking, what does this mean to each of us individually? The sun could be warm, bright, and illuminating but only to those willing to open the door and step outside. Likewise, one could hold in their hands the most powerful flashlight on Earth, and only if and when they willingly flip on the switch will they benefit from its light. The power of light for an individual, is how they use it.

I am so excited about what we learn from these chapters! This week in our video and podcast we are going to talk about two groups of people and how they handle their trials. One group turns immediately to the Lord and the other group tries to fight their own battles until they were almost destroyed and then turns to the Lord. We also talk about finding our own sacred places and how we heal and prosper “by degrees”.
This week on our video and podcast we are going to talk about how one man can make a huge difference for good or for evil. We are also going to talk about having good friends and always standing up for what’s right , no matter what.
For how knoweth a man the master whom he has not served - Mosiah 5:13 - Come, Follow Me Ponderize and Commentary
For how knoweth a man the master whom he has not served, and who is a stranger unto him, and is far from the thoughts and intents of his heart?
I love this verse because it's message is just so clear and straight forward. The three different situations mentioned here are different and yet they also feed into each other. Neal A. Maxwell said, "Failure to serve the Master in small ways estranges us from Him." In another talk he expressed it this way...
https://spiritualcrusade.com/2020/05/for-how-knoweth-a-man-the-master-whom-he-has-not-served-mosiah-513-come-follow-me-ponderize-and-commentary.html
This week in our video and podcast we did things a bit different. With all of us being quarantined I had the wonderful opportunity to sit on the floor and film with my children all around. What a joy children are:) This week we talk about Ammon’s journey to find the people that had left the land of Zarahemla some 80 years earlier. He finds them and receives a record that tells their story since they left. We begin to read that story in chapter 9 and 10 and will continue it next week.
As I have pondered on this scripture this week, the question that keeps coming to my mind is, why are we here on Earth? Think about that question for yourself, why are you here? You may be thinking how silly that question is, because we all know that we are here to return home to our Father in Heaven to live with Him in eternal glory in the celestial kingdom. But there is a huge difference between knowing something and doing something. Take a few moments and evaluate your actions, are they focused on and aligned with that celestial mission or are they more focused on and aligned with improving our life and status here in this life.

This week in our video and podcast we will go over the rest of King Benjamin’s words. As King Benjamin is speaking the people are overcome by his words and are filled with joy as they repent and receive a remission of their sins. He goes on to teach them about the goodness of God and also teaches them how to RETAIN a remission of their sins.
This week in our video and podcast we are going to discuss some characteristics that make King Benjamin so great. We are then going to go over the three main topics that he teaches service, gratitude, and keeping the commandments.

My soul hungered; and I kneeled down before my Maker - Enos 1:4 - Come, Follow Me Ponderize
https://spiritualcrusade.com/2020/03/my-soul-hungered-and-i-kneeled-down-before-my-maker-enos-14-come-follow-me-ponderize.html
Each of the prophets and holy men and women in the scriptures highlight different aspects of our journey to come unto Christ. I love Enos, because he is a role model of putting mighty faith into mighty action “that it reached the heavens.” Even the Lord told Enos, in verse 8, that it was "Because of thy faith in Christ."
This ponderize scripture serves as a formula for those seeking further light and knowledge.
This week in our video and podcast we cover four books. Starting with The book of Enos we learn that God never forgets or breaks His promises. Then with the book of Jarom we learn the importance of keeping the commandments if we want to be protected. In the book of Omni we learn why records are so important. Lastly in the Words of a Mormon we learn about the small and large plates of Nephi and from this we learn that the Lord is so wonderful and prepares the way for us.
My friends, I hope that you can enjoy the simplicity of this scripture and yet the power that it teaches. First, it asks a very important and time bound question, "today, if ye will hear his voice," or in other words, Christ is speaking to you, and not tomorrow, not later, but today; and the question is, do you hear Him?
How do we hear His voice? We hear His voice from the mouth of His prophets and apostles, we hear His voice from the pages of holy writ, and we hear His voice spoken to our hearts by the Holy Ghost and by the Light of Christ through our conscience.
With all that is going on in the world right now we are lucky that our dear prophet has been encouraging us to study and prepare ourselves spiritually for the past six months. This preparation not only strengthens our testimony in preparation for conference but it also simultaneously strengthens us for the days that are coming. Let’s look at the words of the prophet Joseph Smith and liken them unto ourselves as we aim to find greater faith and understanding of the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This video and podcast is exciting because we get to dive into the allegory of the olive tree. My favorite part is when the Lord gathers Israel. This week I will share a video that will hopefully get us all excited about our part in the work. We also go over some tips from Jacob to help us when people disagree with our beliefs.
-What a wonderful time to be pure in heart, the world is in great need of ministering and missionary work! -The Lord will give us all the personal revelation, and insight that we need, as we ask him.
https://spiritualcrusade.com/2020/03/be-pure-in-heart-come-follow-me-weekly-challenge-jacob-1-4.html
We discuss what it means to be reconciled unto Christ and how that leads to a "perfect knowledge of him,” and a “knowledge of a resurrection and the world to come.
Press forward with a steadfastness in Christ - 2 Nephi 31:20 - Come, Follow Me Ponderize
2 Nephi 31:20 Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.
I am so excited about our video and podcast this week! We will be covering Jacob chapters 1-4. In these chapters Jacob testifies of Jesus Christ in such a beautiful and powerful way. He also addresses the two big sins that have begun to be a real problem among the Nephites. Jacob has such great faith and he makes sure to reach out to both the broken hearted and the sinners and point them back to Christ.
This week in our video and podcast we are going learn about the Doctrine of Christ. Nephi teaches us all about Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost and Enduring to the End. Nephi also teaches us what to do when we get to that point where we don’t know what to do. Lastly we are going to talk about Nephi’s perceived weakness and what we should do with our perceived weaknesses.
In this ponderize scripture we talk about how Christ is the right way, and that we must follow Him with all of our heart, might, mind, and, and strength, and our whole soul.

This week in our video and podcast we are going to see how both Nephi and Isaiah prophesied of the coming forth of the Book of Mormon and the Great and Marvelous Work that would commence after that. We will also discuss how cunning Satan is, and how he wants to lead us “carefully down to Hell.” In contrast, Christ is wonderful and He invites everyone to follow Him and be healed.
This week in our video and podcast we will be talking a lot about pride as it is addressed in the Isaiah chapters. We will also discuss three witnesses of Jesus Christ and learn how Isaiah wanted to turn our hearts to our Redeemer. We will touch briefly on the history of what was going on during Isaiah’s days and how that is a type for our future. And lastly we will talk about one of my all time favorite scriptures!
In this week’s Ponderize scripture and commentary we will look more closely at what Christ’s infinite atonement really means and how to make it personal in our lives.
-Wake up, stand up, and listen to the Lord - Delight in the Atonement -The beautiful nature of waiting on the Lord -Strength comes from righteousness
In this weeks Ponderize scripture we talk about how Jacob beheld the glory of God in his youth and I try to break down an approximate age range of Jacob. And then we talk about how exciting it would be to behold the glory of God and touch on some of the other aspects of this scripture.

In this weeks video and podcast we are going to glance quickly over the first three chapters where Nephi’s bow brakes and he is instructed to build a boat. Then we are going to see how the last four chapters give Nephi so much hope. Chapters 19 and 22 are going to be our bookends for understanding the Isaiah chapters, 20 and 21. I love these chapters so much. It’s exciting to see how important the restoration and the gathering of Israel was to Nephi.
We will discuss how this week’s Ponderize scripture really ties in to testifying boldly of the gospel of Christ and gathering scattered Israel as we prepare to build Zion. And the blessings that will flow to us as we fulfill this our great responsibility and privilege.
“Have ye inquired of the Lord?” Asks Nephi “We have not; for the Lord maketh no such thing known unto us.” Answers Laman and Lemuel (1 Nephi 15:8-9) This seems to be a common feeling and conversation. I am not sure why it is difficult at times to seek the Lords wisdom and advice. Maybe because it is easier to battle it out in our own minds or to find council with our friends? “I beheld my brethren, and they were disputing one with another concerning the things which my father had spoken.” (1 Nephi 15:2) Maybe it is scary to approach the Lord, in case His will isn’t in line with the “praise of the world.” (1 Nephi 13:9) Maybe the “pure and most precious” ways of the Lord are too simple for our educated, secular minds. (1 Nephi 13:26) Maybe all these feelings have been subtlety placed in our hearts and minds from the “devil, who is the father of all lies.” (2 Nephi 2:18)... https://spiritualcrusade.com/2020/01/inquire-of-the-lord-come-follow-me-weekly-challenge-1-nephi-11-15.html
