For Mother's Day, we took a brief look at Ruth and her firm faith despite living in Israel during a difficult time in it's history in Judges. This was a -preview- lesson for our series that will begin this summer through Judges.

The true heart, dedicated faith, and blameless character of Job are critical details to understand before diving into the rest of the events that unfold. As the book moves through his life's events, we find the key to Job's eventual success is found in his integrity as a man faithfully and reverently following God.
On Wednesday, March 31 we held a Remembrance Service just before Good Friday and heading into Resurrection Sunday. We remembered Communion together, seeking to keep what Christ was preparing to do for us in the forefront of our hearts and minds as we moved towards Resurrection Sunday.
When people begin bringing children to Jesus, the disciples sent them away. However, this does not sit well with Christ who then rebukes them in righteous indignation for refusing the children- We often miss the wrath of which is communicated in the Greek by Christ to His disciples in these verses. It reminds us that God holds children in a high place of value and in many ways there is much we can learn from them. Our world cares little for children when they've been deemed unnecessary or inconvenient, which interestingly is quite similar to Jesus day and age. Why should we care so much for kids, and how does the topic of abortion fit perfectly into this passage- We hope this sermon will challenge you to-
Jesus is approached by the Pharisees with a question on divorce. Their attempt to catch Him off guard, however, falls flat -as usual- when He elevates the marriage relationship AND extends grace to the sinner. What we often think of as an -awkward topic- became a beautiful opportunity for Christ to glorify His Creation and Design but also to highlight His love for all people regardless of the sin or circumstance.
