Episode 2: Puppy Socialization - The critical foundation for your puppy to have a happy life. Socialization is crucial within the 8-12 week period.

  • Dr. R.K. Anderson recommends puppy socialization begin around 8-9 weeks old
  • American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior recommends the most important period for socialization is within the first 3 months

Timing of Socialization and Shots:

  • Vaccine 1 = Controlled, limited environment
