This week we spoke with Yondome Cade from the BF community. Yonni is open, honest and transparent about their journey thus far in life. Regardless of reaction, judgement or outcome, she speaks her truth. And that is exactly the kind of discussions that should be had in the LGBTQ community.
We sit down and talk to KJ Isaac about transitioning, acceptance, being a parent and loving the skin you're in. KJ is a former law enforcement officer who discusses their views on police brutality and what it might take to heal the divide.

COVID-19
Local counties in concurrence with the State of California have issued a stay in place notice. Meaning any non essential travel or work is hereby stopped until the 1st week in April of 2020. These are unique times, but let's strive to keep up any semblance of normalcy that we can while adhering to the stay in place notice.
Now more than ever we should be keeping in contact with those who matter most in our lives. There is no excuse to not maintain communication with loved ones given the numerous means through texting, social media and other similar mediums.
Let's not lose our humanity and empathy, we can get through this together.
We owe you all some episodes. We are behind but playing a little catch up during this down time (I will make a brief episode about current events as well).
But we want you to know we've missed you all and want to get back to work recording for you.

We attended the 10th Anniversary of the Butch Voices Conference which was held in Oakland, CA. In lieu of heavily editing this episode, we left most of it intact to remain true to the discussion that occurred between us and the attendees at the event. What we came way realizing is that there is still work to be done in the community but with continued discussion we can gain a better understanding of our complex community.
