We rap about The (Dixie) Chicks' delightful new divorce album, including the songwriters involved, and the man whom the album is about. Christine recaps the posthumous Pop Smoke album. We end with a quiz about the former names of popular bands.
This week we discuss Kurt Cobain’s guitar selling for $6 million dollars, “urban” music and the Grammys, a protest song from Lil Baby, Bob Dylan’s return to good music, and the new Phoebe Bridgers. We also talk about seeing and not seeing Bright Eyes in concert.
This week we discuss some of the musician responses to the murder of George Floyd including Killer Mike, Billie Eilish, and Beyonce, the music industry’s Blackout Tuesday, and then some not so important stuff like a mysterious Taylor Swift cover song, Journey’s old man drama, music we’ve been watching, and new music from Lady Gaga, Carly Rae Jepsen and Kim Petras.

This week we discuss our attempts at scoring tickets to see Bright Eyes, The Format, My Chemical Romance, Rage Against The Machine, Tinashe and The Juliana Theory. We also talk about the new High Fidelity series starring Zoë Kravitz, and new music from Justin Bieber, The Strokes, Tame Impala, Soccer Mommy, Grimes, and Lil Wayne.
This week we discuss the over/under on Demi Lovato’s National Anthem, the excellent halftime performance by Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, music related Super Bowl commercials, why Phish songs are being played during the Super Bowl, and a surprising contestant on the hard to watch Masked Singer.
It's ok if you couldn't make it through the entire 4 hours that was the 2020 Grammys. We recap the record setting night for Billie Eilish, the great (Tyler, the Creator) and the awful (Aerosmith) performances, and end with the ever escalating Grammys controversy (all in under 30 minutes).
This week we give our predictions for who will win at the 2020 Grammy Awards, we discuss the current Grammys controversy, which performances we are excited for and which ones we will fast forward through. We close with Eminem's surprise new album, and the newly released Radiohead Public Library.
