Hey everyone,
I met my friend Richard during the first week I moved down to Seattle in 2020 and since then have been very good friends. He's probably going to be the only Asian I will ever meet who grew up in New Mexico LOL. The past 2.5 years hanging with him has been a blast - he always reaches out to host weekly events and we have a lot of good memories going on trips together. I've heard glimpses of his upbringing before but really appreciate him coming on the pod to share more about his upbringing and how he's overcome some life events to get to where he is today.
Hi Everyone!
This is the 2nd part to the last episode where I reflect on my post high school memories and all events since then that has led me to where I am today!
Hi friends, this episode was something I've wanted to do for awhile and definitely the longest to put together. This is me sharing memories and stories from my upbringing - up to my high school days. It was hard to capture all the friends and experiences that I've been through so apologies if I didn't mention you or some of the memories we've shared together. Hope y'all enjoy the story and looking forward to having more experience with everyone in the future!

In this episode, I had a chance to catch up with a close friend Vivian and learned about her path in UX design and ultimately a career as a production designer working at an agency helping fortune 500 companies in the digital and creative space. Definitely learned a lot through this conversation and discussed how practical and applicable UX can impact our daily lives!
Meet Alex Lim! First time we hung out I got banned from my university pub LOL! He's someone I look up to and respect a lot and have influenced me quite a bit over the past few years whether is contemplating solo-traveling or just being more productive / active in my day-to-day. Had a lot of fun adventures together and definitely looking forward to making more memories in the future.
Hey everyone! Had a pleasure to sit down with one of my closest friends Dan Ryan to talk about his career path on how he managed to break into the gaming industry. We grew up playing games together and he has always wanted to be apart of the gaming world for as long as I've known him, watching him build off his artistic and creative mindset has been inspirational and hoping that people are able to learn more about this space while demystifying stereotypes of working in this industry!
Meet Carolyn! Met her about 1.5 years ago in Seattle through a mutual friend and since then we have hung out quite a bit and have shared some good memories since then. She's one of my good friends that is 'surprisingly' not imported from Canada. Classic Bay Area Boba Cali Girl who moved to Seattle for work.
Hey everyone, super excited to have one of my closest friends I met 9 years ago during the first weeks of university come on the podcast. It's been a wild ride thinking back to all the memories shared together and my university experience would not be the same without him. Crazy that even after university we ended up working in the same city and have been on some adventures together,
One of the highlights of 2021! My friends and I went to Hawaii for a month in 2021 living and working together in the same house. Join Jack, Billy, David, Rui, and Leslie in this podcast with me to reflect on all the inside jokes, crazy adventures, and memories we all shared from that trip!
Happy New Year! I'm back this year launching season 2 of this podcast. In this episode Dan Ryan, Edward, Vivian, and I give a brief recap of major milestones and life events that happened to us in 2021 and our current upcoming plans for the new year =).
Hi everyone, this episode has been long overdue apologies for the hiatus as I have been busy with both work and personal events the past few months. I've been planning to have one of my closest friends Jack Ding on this podcast to share some of his wisdom and story with everyone. This guy has been through a lot to get to where he is today and has been a huge part of my life the past 3 years. I met him when we first lived together as roommates in 2017 and had an absolute blast. Since then he has been there for me and supported me when I needed it the most. In our friend group he's one of the go-to guys that everyone seeks personal and career advice from, he's extremely mature and is always there for his friends. Glad to have met him over the years and definitely looking forward to upcoming experiences and adventures with him.
Hi Everyone, one of my original goals I had for this podcast project was to share my previous consulting experience and things I've learned throughout that career path. I have a guest with me under the alias 'Elle' who used to work at one of the prestigious MBB firms in Toronto. She is a very close friend of mine that I met in business school and supported me a lot during my time in Toronto. Throughout this podcast episode, we will share our consulting experiences from both the MBB and the Big4 perspective. We will dive deep into the recruitment process, how the consulting industry works, and our day-to-day as a consultant. Elle and I used to have a lot of these conversations back in Toronto and have been looking forward to sharing these conversations with the broader friend group.
Hi everyone, this episode we have Rui Fu back with us to finish off the rest of his story - starting from after we met in Hong Kong last year.
Hey friends, meet Rui Fu (Chengrui Fu) - a friend I've met up in Hong Kong over a year ago through our mutual friends. Since then, I've come to know him quite well and through our friend group we have kept in touch daily during the pandemic. A Duke Alumni and incoming software engineer at Facebook in New York City this guy is absolutely insane when it comes to his work ethic, mindset, and drive to always do more in this world. Though we grew up in different environments, a lot of our conversations and experiences shared are very similar. He's the type of person who is constantly exploring opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. Over the past few months he started a YouTube channel (TheCodeRay) to help students navigate through their tech career while being involved in 2 startups. Looking forward to this guy being my CEO one day.
Hey guys, meet Leslie Zhang. A friend I met in 2007 in elementary school. Growing up we lived like 5 blocks away from each other and its crazy that 13 years later we still live 5 blocks apart in a new city. This guy is an absolute machine both athletically and academically. He's someone who always caters toward self-improvement and dedicates his time to perfect his craft (also has amazing study habits). Glad to have been there and see this guy grow over the years.
Hi friends, meet Billy Liu! Its crazy to think that I've only met him in person 1.5 years ago because it seems like I've known him for much longer than that. He's a close friend of mine who is always positive, entertaining, and fun to be around. We have shared so many memories together, inside jokes, and amazing events. Thanks for the great times and letting me crash on your couch rent-free for a month. Looking forward to see where life brings us!
Hi friends, I've known David since our highschool days and through similar interests and career aspirations we have been close friends ever since. Wanted to share with all of you some of the conversations and significant moments in our friendship that brought us to where we are now. He's someone who always works hard and never cuts corners to achieve his goals, someone that motivates you to take the next step and achieve your potential.
Summarizing over 10 years of friendship. How I met a group of friends in highschool (from working at a scam campaign) that led to lifelong friendships. Cheers to our countless adventures, late night talks, and an infinite amount of DOTA games.
