This is the bonus episode, of Listen: The Voices of 2020, The First Voices of 2021. When I began this podcast, I thought that perhaps we would leave the majority of the uncertainty and the drama behind in the old year. However, the New Year proved very quickly that it was not to be underestimated. In this episode, we listen to the stories American citizens who describe living through the whirlwind first weeks of 2021. We hear from someone who was working in the capitol during the attack on January 6th, we also hear from a member of the US military currently deployed in Syria and from others who watched their capitol overtaken live on their laptops and phones.
