Musical Profile. l am an Australian. Born on a summer solstice, in 1947. l am a guitar strummer, write songs and sing. l have played in Bands, Duo's and Solo. l dabble in bass, harmonica, lead guitar and percussion. Many thanks to Chris Hart, who inspired and tutored me, my younger Bro Bob, a great drummer and later on the even more wonders of guitar playing and feel from EL Gringo, Paul Anderson. l am a Spiritual but Agnostic hombre. Most of my story and feelings are in my music on SC. For a few years now l have signed out of my PRO a/c, and just want to give regards to all my friends & supporters out there. l have totally gone into a non creativity mode. So, l haven't been recording anything. To be honest, l have mainly been listening to all my old songs trying for some inspiration, but, alas. The old Dog Head has waned. l hope l come out of this, surfing and strumming my guitar under a palm tree vibe again.
Another old song reposted. It suits the current racist teachings of the left and crazed American politics. There are already laws in place to combat real racism. Be proud of your race & who you are, if someone insults you, either fight them, or say " yeah ! & l am proud, or just shut up. This wimpy woke modern society of being so upset with words, toughen up you gutless internet warriors. Also , this Climate change problem , which is happening, the biggest danger is " GAIN OF FUNCTION " experiments. How many countries are participating in this? The population of this planets highest priority should be to demolish and destroy every facility, otherwise there will be no more human species. Also, prosecute and remove from office anybody that is involved in this Gain of Function. Safety, Food, Water & and a future for our families are the priority.
Firstly this is a song l did as a memory for my parents, many moons ago. Secondly , today l just signed out of the PRO a/c, which finishes at the end of March, and just want to say hi to all my friends & supporters out there, l respect you all so much. l have totally gone into no creativity mode. l am so against all this woke, victimhood stuff. My songs would only be too political, as you know l don't mind speaking my mind in my music, so l haven't been recording anything. To be honest, l have mainly been listening to all my old songs trying for some inspiration, but, alas. The old Jungle Dog has waned. l hope l come out of this, strumming my guitar under a palm tree vibe again.
A song l wrote about a young girl in our village in West Java, who was crying & devastated about breaking up with her boyfriend. Well , now they are happily married and have 2 young girls. A happy ending.
From the Dog files, a medley of 2 of my fav cover songs & which l did separately in Leroy & Lowriders Band.
New version, one of my fav originals, l re recorded with a new feel. l played Bass, Martin acoustic guitar & put the drums together on my Beatcraft.
I have been doing this song since the 70's, and l think it is becoming worse, haha. l actually remembered the lyrics. l played Yamaha Acoustic Guitar & Bass on this & used a tc helicon vocal harmonizer.
A bit of fun, l haven't played much lately. l played Yamaha Revstar electric guitar, Yamaha acoustic & Bass on this.
Well, my first recording using all my new gear for live gigs. The last 2 new tracks were a big experiment with my small Blackstar amp. This time, through my 250 watt 4 channel amp. Used my effect gizmo with pedal, Wah wah on the rhythm, Blues effect on the lead. My new Bass straight into the amp. Also messed with my TC vocal harmonizer, free sung the lyrics, which was interesting because l recorded the instrumentals first & did not play guitar through the harmonizer. Also, l did not use a mixer or effects in my studio. So this is my live sound , which of cause l am still messing with. Regards JD.
Old Song...New approach. Mixcraft Studio played the loops for my mix, my lyrics & vocals. Serious Lyrics, but always fun playing this live, especially with a Band.
Started off as a bit messing with my Bass, then evolved into this song. l played all guitar on my Martin Acoustic, Shakers, Congas & Bass . The Drum loops are from my Mixcraft studio.
l played Bass, Martin Acoustic, CoCo Telecaster & Shakers on this, l put the drums together on my Beatcraft. Hard to say what l think with a bit of free singing lyrics. Basically, no were not all the same people, these groups that started off with good intentions, with a fantasy that we are all equal, have actually destroyed cultures , caused most of the problems today. America definitely started the wheel turning with , to me, a totally wrong response to 9/11. They could have just went in solo , and had revenge in a few months. Instead dragged the world into turmoil, mainly because of the above groups & of cause the War Industry. Freedom of the Press , and free speech, have resulted in no discipline at all in society. Racism, Human rights, War crimes , So called democracy , just implanted thoughts in peoples minds. So, no, were not all equal, democracy does not work in most of the middle east. Be proud of your culture, race, heritage & then there is no Racism. How do words rule our destiny, actions should. You millions of young men , refugees, go home and fight for your country. Isis ...30,000...Refugees Millions.
A crazy moment of playing my CoCo Telecaster & Bass, plus the Drums l put together on my BeatCraft.
My Calypso Instrumental mixed down to how l originally intended & a Song. A true tale, with me leaning on the deck rails dreaming of sailing all around the Caribbean Islands. l only spent a couple of days in Panama & a couple in Curacao. Before sailing on to Lisbon & Portsmouth. l played all instruments, except the drums put together on my Beatcraft, and a shaker loop , remixed by me.
Another song from Leroy & the Lowrider days, my last band, a few more to come yet, so suffer ! l played my CocoTelecaster & Bass on this.
For my Honda CBRR 250. l played Motor Bike, Coco Telecaster, Harmonica, Bass & Vocals on this. l sure had a good time recording this, good shit.
Recorded this song again, played Bass & Coconut Wood Telecaster .The photo is of my lady , Rini, who inspired this song, after another shopping spree, haa!
