We are a Church located in Cleveland Park in East Nashville. Our mission is to LOVE everyone, and to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our community. Everyone is welcome! We’re all in this together. No matter our history, circumstances, or goals, we’re all human and all need love and acceptance. That’s why the church exists—and why you belong!
How can we love people the way Jesus did? You might be thinking... is that even possible? And the answer is YES! In order to know how to love like Jesus, we have to get to know Him. We get to know Him by spending TIME with Him (through the Word, prayer, and worship). Do you notice a difference in your attitude when you haven’t been spending time with Him? When we spend time with Jesus it changes us. By spending time with Him we become more like Him. When we have His heart, and His thoughts, we begin to love others the way that He does. This changes lives...starting with our own.
But Jesus called them to Himself, saying [to the apostles], “Allow the children to come to Me, and do not forbid them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God [with faith and humility] like a child will not enter it at all.” Luke 18:16
With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching, it’s important to remember to posture your heart in a place of gratitude. Imagine what God can do through you and your family, this year. We are in joyful in anticipation of all the God stories we’ll hear.
We had a powerful Sunday with Dani Ambuel sharing her testimony. God transformed her heart, and then her artwork in her healing journey. I encourage you to check out the livestream if you missed the service on Sunday.
We were so incredibly blessed to have Dick Simmons at One Stone this past Sunday. He is such a legend in the prayer and intercessory world and it was a great honor to have him speak.
Human nature longs for relationship and community. When we come together in the name of Jesus, powerful things happen. We are no longer on the outside looking in, but we belong and are part of something greater than ourselves.
It’s easy in our human nature to inherit selfish motives. It happens daily, even in subtle ways. But when we humble ourselves before The Lord, and surrender to His will for our life, our hearts are in alignment with Him. What is the why behind our hearts motivation ?
We have a special message tomorrow titled: “Let Go” I’m not sure about you, but those two words resonate with me during this season.
God knows all of our needs, including, the timing of each. He wants to teach us to walk with Him, in faith, confidence, and without worry. When God calls us to something, He not only equips us, but He provides everything we need and more to accomplish the task. It’s the level of our intimacy with Him that empowers us.
We are a community of believers who want you to know you are loved, accepted, and respected just as you are when you walk through our doors. You are family. You belong. You are loved.
And AS YOU GO, preach this message: ‘Heaven’s kingdom realm is accessible, close enough to touch.’ Matthew 10:7 - (tpt
When you’re obedient to the Lord, it’s the first stone that sets things in motion. What is the ripple God is calling you to initiate? Don’t worry about the variables that may ensue, He goes before us and honors our obedience.
Place your heart in hopeful anticipation, because the breakthrough you’ve been praying & contending for is just around the corner. God is preparing you for the next open door, let His Presence guide you. Do something REVOLUTIONARY!
It starts with us, with the little steps of faith that light up the paths to our destiny. Just like Joshua, taking up the mantle after the passing of Moses...The Lord promised Joshua; “I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.” Joshua 1:3 If we know our identity in Christ, we can walk boldly in the direction He calls without fear. We are the blueprints of revolutionary faith. Do you have eyes to see?
Check out this timely and powerful word for our New Year from our Associate Pastor, Michael Hall!
Our testimony is vital and powerful. God transformed our lives and the testament of that change is like the modern day gospel for those who don’t know Jesus. It ignites faith, instills hope and transforms lives.
“This truth is now being unveiled by the revelation of the anointed Jesus, our life-giver, who has dismantled death, obliterating all its effects on our lives, and has manifested his immortal life in us by the gospel. “ (2 Tim 10)
When we thank God for the goodness in our lives, and come from a place of gratitude, it prepares us for the breakthrough that is coming. Regardless of any opposition you are up against, His voice calls you above the noise. Thank him anyway because He is always good and you'll find that there's joy in the journey.
There are constant reminders of God’s goodness, passion, and love for us everywhere we go and look....we just have to have eyes to see.. ”..How good you are to me! When people turn to you, they discover how easy you are to please—so faithful and true! Joyfully you teach them the proper path, even when they go astray.” Psalm 25:6,8
Heart connections are a huge part of our daily lives and being relationally Intentional is the key to Eternal Connections. What are some ways you can be a better friend, spouse, & parent?
How can you be Intentionally generous? I believe that generosity starts with gratitude. If we can be thankful about the goodness in our own lives than it’s easy to pour hope into others.
We can impact the world around us everyday, by living a life of generosity. Generosity isn’t only about money, it can mean being generous with our time, our encouragement, our positivity, our influence, or our finances, etc. The point is...YOU can literally be a catalyst for life-transformation by growing in generosity!
Get your head out of the clouds...It's easy to do every day isn't it..? Especially as believers, we tend to get lost in our own thing...God's blessed each of us with an amazing gift, some with prophecy, others with exhortation, and evangelism. All these amazing and powerful gifts, are meant to be used together as a body of believers for the bigger picture. It is important to always remember our beginnings and to remain humble to steward our gifts with the the heart of Jesus, love.
Life is tough sometimes, no doubt. Obstacles, life stresses and responsibilities weigh heavy on our plates. It's imperative to recognize, that living through the lens of life stresses could stifle our growth and our progression forward. When we clear the fog, and look with a broader perspective, through the eyes of Jesus, things become crystal clear. If we relinquish full control and trust that He is good...we can walk in His perfect peace with confidence.
We recognize the significance of what The Lord is doing in the here and now and His mission is to Unify the body of Christ to truly reflect heaven. We are currently walking in a revival that is going to change the Nation.
We don’t create our destiny, we discover our destiny. He already sees the full picture. When we look at circumstances from a heavenly perspective and see ourselves, and our future, the way our Father in heaven does…we start with the end in mind. We are acknowledging that Christ is in us and we cannot fail. Take comfort, and walk in His perfect peace, with that knowledge and confidence.
This past Sunday we started our NEW SERIES: 100 Days Outside The Maze. This series is not just a series, it is a plan for walking in the fullness of the Kingdom being 100% intentional about all we do in our daily lives to be in line with Heaven's agenda. Invite others to join you as we step outside the maze and see the breakthrough of Heaven on earth!
In Mark 9, we see Jesus shining with the Glory of God for the first time...
The transfiguration of Jesus that took place on top of that mountain was a promise & glimpse into a kind of life beyond what is apparent to earthly eyes. He was allowing them to see things from a Kingdom perspective, see Him the way God sees Him...filled with the light of His glory. As we go from the mountain, it’s important to remember things from that perspective, no matter what comes against us...we are all inherited children of God filled with His glory.
In life, opposition will come, you may feel at the end of your rope, weary, or even like you’re in a dry place desperate for rejuvenation. But what you need to be reminded of is...you have Jesus’ DNA, you are inherited daughters and sons of The King. When you grab ahold of your identity in that, you will see from a higher perspective and begin to recognize and appreciate the fruit that will come from staying on course in this season. He sees the bigger picture, trust Him.
Jesus made it possible for people to belong, and have life to the full. To all Those who would never be given a chance and even be disregarded..
Despite what people may be walking in, He sees their potential, and their legacy. He paid the high price because He knew our worth. What is our intent? We may have the best intentions to see people’s lives changed, but do we see THEM as God SEES them...
Can you imagine how Jesus must of felt, after the loss of his cousin and great friend, John the Baptist? He was heartbroken and mourning his loss. He arrived off the boat to a massive crowd, waiting for Him. Jesus, despite His circumstance, saw them and his heart was filled with compassion. He saw they appeared as lost sheep without a Shepard, He ministered and taught them many things.
(ref, Mark 6:34)
Fear of man can be prevalent in some believers minds, causing them to doubt themselves when sharing the gospel. In Mark 6:11 Jesus talks to His disciples and warns; “whatever community does not receive you or your message, leave it behind. And as you go, shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.” Not Everyone we come in contact with will accept Gods love...and thats ok. If we are obedient to His voice we are planting a seed that will one day, change their life. The important thing to note is, God loves everyone. Even those who reject Him. We are called to love like that. Are you bold enough to be rejected?
Jesus cherished companionship. He was intentional in choosing who’d walk by His side closely. He saw something unique in each of His disciples and recognized the power and influence they carried individually. He called forth identity & purpose in each of them...and taught them The Way of the kingdom. Even today, He wants us close, By His Side... “The Lord is close to all who call on Him.”
Do the healthy need a physician? Throughout scripture, you see Jesus going into the most unlikely places, dinning with notable sinners, and showing compassion to the cast aside. He met people right where they were, restoring hope to the hopeless and healing the broken. We are called to be an influence, and a light in our daily lives. What separates us from everyone else at work or the grocery store? We are called to Love radically...Who are you carrying to Jesus?
Often times on our Christian journey we find ourselves walking blindly because we tend to move forward in our own power. What does it take to choose the right direction, and to know the mission God has for you? The answer is simple... Prayer.
He talked about the spiritual journey God guided him through to get him to where he is now. That very spiritual journey is what started Pastor Mark Lancaster's walk with The Lord. Pastor John saw Jesus in Mark and believed in him when he needed to see Jesus the most. Because of Pastor John Mclendon's obedience to The Lord, Pastor Mark is now walking out his spiritual journey and being obedient to the call at One Stone. That is a fathers legacy! What an awesome way to instill a culture of honor. Bless these 2 incredible men of God! Spiritual Fathers to many, for decades to come.
We are so excited for the amazing journey God is unfolding for us as we come into alignment with His heart. Getting back to the simple gospel is foundational.
