PRAISING GOD GETS HIS ATTENTION
Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy,
when I cry to you for help,
when I lift up my hands
toward your most holy sanctuary.
The LORD is my strength and my shield;

and with my song I give thanks to him.

JUST TALKING ABOUT GOD IS A FORM OF PRAISE
Then my tongue shall tell of your righteousness
and of your praise all the day long.
(Psalm 35:28 ESV)
GENUINE PRAISE WILL BECOME ACTIVE
Clap your hands, all peoples!
Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
(Psalm 47:1 ESV)

TO PRAISE GOD IS TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH WHICH IS A CREATIVE FORCE
O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.

PRAISING GOD IS ALSO A SIGN OF SUBMISSION
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands.

IF YOU WANT TO END IN PRAISE…START WITH PRAISE
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

PRAISING GOD BUILDS YOUR SPIRIT & REFLECTS ON WHAT IS TRULY IMPORTANT
Bless the LORD, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name!
Bless the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits,
who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,

YOU CAN USE 'ALL THINGS' TO PRAISE AND WORSHIP GOD
Praise the LORD!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness!
Praise him with trumpet sound;
praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD!
