The United Nations is a global based organization with its policies and developmental programmes in every country. Being a volunteer and intern at the UN is a privilege for can lead to greater career opportunities. Most of the internship is self sponsored and the expenses are to be met by the sponsoring country or the applicant. The general duration  is based on the assigned task and could run between two to six months. The opportunities could be assigned with work space through Online or at UN Offices.

All recruitment of Intern is through interviews and tests.

Through discussion and interactions we look forward for a change that lightens up in every individual to STOP FOOD WASTE as there are millions of people in need of food  and thus to overcome HUNGER. Physical exercises are to keep the body and mind strong and immune. During the course of the pandemic many have had issues relating to exercises as they were restricted movements due to lockdown. Also some have had mobility issues due to aging. In all such cases a simple and short exercises relating to good breathing techniques are of great need during pandemic. Dr. Purushottam Bung, Director, RVIM and Yoga Enthusiast demonstrated simple asanas to the participants in the Blended session. Participants in Campus and Virtual Mode through Zoom Link.

The Covid 19 spread has been witnessed in all the States and is predicted to have a major impact on Children during Third Wave. Precautionary measures reach the privileged family members but there are thousands of children abandoned and being at risk. Remand Home and Child Welfare Centre come to their rescue. There is a need for volunteers to extend support. This initiative provided awareness on all such issues by Ms. Bharathi, Head, District Child Protection Unit, Bangalore. Five students volunteered to be Ambassadors and be helpful during field visits and telecon contacts.

Art draws attention and inspires. On this note an awareness programme was designed using Madhubani Art in making of Masks. Colours and design motivates younger participant to adopt appropriate behavior everyday .There are many group of people who refuse to use masks by stating various reasons. Masks is a first line of defense .Professional Architect turned Artist Varnin Varg taught participants to use Madhubani for printing designs over the mask.This was an online session .

Following this the faculty members created real designs in the campus. Few students interviewed the participants and have been recorded in the podcast.

Many street vendors and underprivileged face a great challenge to go to vaccination center. RVIM educate and explores alternate method to help the m to be vaccinated as a part of National Management Week on August 5  ,Day 5

Later Coordinator Chandran Called BBMP and requested a special centre to help few of the street vendors who were not vaccinated.

August 4 RVIM displayed posters and interacted with the students on making towards tobacco free zone. Mr.Prabhakara,  Project Manager, State Tobacco Control Cell, Karnataka provided the guidelines in a brief interview over the telephone. The posters of National Tobacco Control Programme were displayed to best view at the campus entrance and visible to students and visitors and public.

All efforts are towards declaring TOBACCO FREE ZONE at Public Places

R.V. Institute of Management, Bengaluru  conducted Awareness Programme on Tobacco Control at Sulibele,Hosakote on August 3,2021. The posters depicting the ill effects of use of tobacco in all forms were displayed .This initiative is helpful  to reduce respiratory related diseases  during Covid 19 .

Dr.Noor Firdoos Jahan, Professor,RVIM ,Dr.Padmalini Singh, Assistant Professor,RVIM interacted to residents of Sulibelle during door to door campaign to prevent the use of tobacco..The awareness programme was supported by Directorate of Health & Family Welfare Services and posters of National Tobacco Control Programme were very helpful to explain the contents  in an understandable manner.
