Since mental health takes a bigger toll on the victim, the government must institute a task force composed of mental health professionals for online counselling in the best interest of the victim and their children. My request to you - share this message in your groups, with friends, families and let us demand immediate measures from the government. Was the lockdown necessary? Maybe. But was the #LockdownWithoutPlan justified? Absolutely, not. The government should have anticipated the chaos, sufferings, fear, panic, and starvation due to loss of livelihoods that would result in such a sudden decision. Government should have put in necessary measures to get lakhs of stranded migrant workers back to their homes, or provided enough monetary incentive such as releasing all their wages, additional cash for workers to send to their home, decent accommodation, and food.
