Jane Hanson is a nine time Emmy award winning broadcast journalist, communication coach, and Forbes contributor. She has spent her 30 year career helping prominent leaders learn how to communicate better in today’s world.

She has direct responsibility for advocacy, public relations, corporate communications, events & conferences and TVB.org, and works with TVB’s CEO on the strategic direction of the company.
Abby has spearheaded local TV broadcasters’ online business efforts for over a decade. She developed the industry’s multi-billion dollar transaction platform, ePort, as well as their job-board platform (with over a million annual visitors) dedicated to serving the careers of television professionals from all aspects of the industry.
Previously, Abby spent 17 years with Ogilvy, climbing the ranks to the role of Senior Partner, U.S. Director of Local Broadcast. She has served on the board of the International Radio & Television Society and the New York chapter of Alliance for Women in Media. Abby is a mentor at University of the People, the first non-profit, tuition-free, accredited online American university for the world’s underserved student population.

Dr. Sophia Yen is CEO and Cofounder of Pandia Health, a birth control delivery service on a mission to make women’s lives easier by bringing birth control to women wherever they have internet and a mailbox. In her work as a physician, Dr. Yen noticed that many of her female patients were skipping birth control because they had trouble refilling their prescription or couldn’t afford medication. This inspired Dr. Yen to launch Pandia Health -- an online birth control service that prescribes, refills and offers free delivery of birth control to women, regardless of whether or not they have insurance. Ruby Love recently secured $15M in funding after an initial Series A of $8M -- the fourth-largest round ever for a company founded by a black woman. Of the $85B of venture funding generated in the U.S. last year, female founders represented just 2.2%, with only 0.2% going to companies led by black women.
