French Guiana is a beautiful country located in South America. The capital city is Cayenne. French-Guiana is an overseas department and region of France. French-Guiana shares borderland with Brazil and Suriname.
Since 1981, when Belize became independent, French-Guiana has been the only territory of the mainland Americas that is still part of a European Colony. Before the European colonization, the territory was inhabited by Native Americans, most speaking the Arawak language. The people identified as Lokono.

Porque Duelen los Músculos al día siguiente de hacer ejercicios?

Contra todo pronóstico luego de hacer ejercicio y estás feliz en el momento, pero sabes que no tardará en llegar ese dolor muscular y para ser precisos, al día siguiente, al levantarte de la cama.
Debido a que la razón no está en la intensidad de la actividad física (Zumba, pesas, natación…), sino por un fenómeno llamado DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness), que en español significa: dolor muscular de aparición retardada.
¿Por qué sucede esto en nuestro cuerpo luego de ejercitar?
De acuerdo con la Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina de los Estados Unidos, el DOMS aparece, entre las 12 o 24 horas posteriores del ejercicio, y es resultado de una distensión muscular (contracción y alargamiento del músculo). Motivo por el que actividades como el correr, estiramiento o brincar, te hacen más propenso a este dolor.
De hecho, este fenómeno suele ir acompañado de síntomas como sensibilidad, dolor severo y debilidad muscular.
¿Puedes evitar sentir dolor tras hacer ejercicio?
El DOMS suele afectar solo a los atletas principiantes, al ir aumentando la actividad, los músculos adquieren flexibilidad y resistencia.
Sin embargo, para llegar a este punto el camino es arduo, por ellos los antinflamatorios tópicos y los masajes han demostrado ser grandes aliados para reducir este malestar.
