For the first time this season, we have a guest on the Through the Banner Podcast. And it is none other than Dan Taylor of HIT 100.9 down here in Tasmania.
Dan and Caspar discuss Sunday's crucial GWS vs. Port game, the lack of Thursday Night footy for the rest of the season, and the unstoppable Swans.
In the first half of a very special two-part episode, round 13 gets reviewed. It was a huge weekend, one where Carlton established itself as the best team outside of the Sydney Swans, the Hawks truly announced themselves as a dark horse for this year's finals series, and North Melbourne finally won a game.
Hard to think of a round this early in a season with bigger potential ramifications for the top 8 than round 12, 2024.
And round 13 is set to be even bigger, with the Suns trying to end a drought against the Saints, the Bombers out to repeat their King's Birthday Heroics from twelve months ago, and a 2022 Grand Final rematch that should be a lot closer than that game was.
The second half of the annual celebration of Indigenous players and culture provided many fascinating talking points.
But now the Bye Rounds have returned, and round 12 could make or break Caspar's tipping.
It's the first of two rounds celebrating Indigenous footy players and the history Indigenous people have given our game, and the contributions they've made.
It is also a round with huge implications.
We saw that already with the Suns over the Cats, and more ladder re-shuffling is on the cards.
A huge round for all the top eight sides with the top four versus the bottom four.
This season has already had so many crazy twists and turns, this round is sure to produce many more.
What a round Round 8 promises to be, with rivalries and important clashes galore.
But before the Showdown kicks off the action, let's take a look back at the Anzac Appeal Round because there was a lot to cover.

Eleni Thomas is a huge fan of sports in general but footy holds a special place in herr heart because it’s something her whole family and she loves. When she was little she did Auskick and would play footy with all the boys and when she could she would drag her brother out to the oval to kick the footy so footy has always been a big part of her life.
