In Acts 13, Paul boldly proclaims that no one can be made right with God by keeping the law—salvation is a gift of grace received through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim shows us why this message brought incredible joy to the Gentiles, fierce opposition from many Jews, and why the same challenge still confronts us today: Are we resting in God's grace, or trying to earn His approval through our own efforts?

This Sunday, Pastor Tim explores how listening to God, meeting people where they are, and boldly stepping into opportunities can change people's lives for eternity. God’s mission was never meant for only a few specific leaders, but for every follower of Jesus willing to say “yes” to His leading.
Acts 8 marks a turning point in the growth of the early church. It reminds us that even in seasons of hardship and uncertainty, God is still moving powerfully through His people. As the gospel spreads into Samaria through Philip’s Spirit-filled ministry, we see lives transformed, miracles take place, and the Holy Spirit empower ordinary believers to make an extraordinary impact. This Sunday, Pastor Tim encourages us to trust God more deeply, surrender fully to His Spirit, and believe that He still desires to work powerfully through our lives in the same way He did then.
Stephen’s story in Acts 6–7 challenges us to consider what it truly means to follow Jesus with courage, grace, and unwavering faith. This Sunday, we explore Stephen’s powerful defense before the religious leaders, the cost of Christlikeness, and the reminder that real ministry flows not from striving, but from being filled with the Spirit. Even when we face persecution and suffering, we continue to overcome through the power and presence of Christ.
As the early church grew, real problems emerged—but so did a powerful solution. As we move into Acts chapter 6, we learn that healthy leadership multiplies by empowering others, not controlling everything. When every role is valued and every person is engaged, the church becomes stronger, more unified, and more fruitful.
What do we do when we pray and nothing seems to change? Pastor Susan May challenges us to remain persistent in prayer trusting God’s timing, His character, and His unseen work. With practical steps and biblical encouragement, we’re called to keep showing up in faith and never stop praying.
As we continue in Acts chapter 5, we see opposition rise, yet the apostles remain steadfast —choosing obedience to God over man and rejoicing even in suffering. This Sunday Pastor Tim invites us to evaluate the “hills we die on,” trust God when we don’t understand His ways, and depend fully on the Holy Spirit. A life rooted in Jesus leads to bold proclamation, enduring faith, and unshakable joy.
Acts 5 reminds us that God cares about both the unity of His church and the integrity of His people. As the early church grows in power and influence, we see that prayer, humility, and gospel clarity fuel real, lasting impact. This message calls us to live with honesty before God and others—being who we appear to be.

This Sunday Pastor Tim centered on our hope in Jesus and through his resurrection, death is defeated and life is made available to ALL! The invitation is clear in God's Word: through repentance and faith in Jesus, anyone can experience new life and the promise of resurrection.
Peter and John face the Sanhedrin and the religious leaders and despite the threats and pressure, they didn't retreat. Instead they leaned into the Holy Spirit MORE which resulted in believers having confidence to live boldly, pray faithfully, and share the hope of a living Savior.
In Acts chapter 4 verses 1-22, Peter and John are brought before the religious leaders and not only are they "warned" and found faultless, they also pushed back! This is a reminder that when operating in the name of Jesus we have the same access to the Holy Spirit at those in the book of Acts.
Moving into Acts, chapter 3, Pastor Tim shows us how Peter, despite the miracle that occurred, never falters to remind those watching that Jesus is the ultimate miracle and that we all have access to Him when we surrender ourselves.
On our final Sunday in Acts chapter 2, Pastor Tim reminds us that both "sides" of Acts chapter 2 are needed to accomplish the church's mission -- outpouring and declaration AND living life together.
Our good friend and Grace Church Elder, Dan, takes some time to help us understand the historical, cultural, and relational setting of Acts, challenging us to see ourselves in the story!
Continuing in Acts Chapter Two, Pastor Tim takes a look at Peter's sermon and helps us to see how the outpouring of the Holy Spirit does not discriminate and is available all of God's children, here and now.
This week Pastor Tim continues in Acts chapter 2, highlighting the unity displayed at the beginning of the church as those in the upper room were filled with the Holy Spirit and how that unity is still a goal to this day.
Before the gift of the Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 2, there were plenty of things that not only had to occur, but did occur that was important enough for Luke to mention in the beginning of Acts. And these steps are building blocks to set Acts in motion and the beginning of the church's growth.
In this first session, Pastor Tim lays the groundwork for our Acts series that will run through the rest of 2026 by reminding us that as we read, we don't want it to be a historical or academic review -- but a look at how God's Word can change us.
Pastor Tim finishes our series reminding us that we ALL have a part to play in God's church and that no matter our calling, we are made to minister.

In this first session, Pastor Jack begins the series by reminding us HOW we are all ministers and highlighting four (of many) characteristics that ministers adopt when they accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
We are all called to leadership and our identity as leaders qualifies us for God's supernatural empowerment.
Continuing this Sunday in the book of Numbers, Pastor Tim highlights Eldad and Medad - two elders of the Israelites who weren't present when the anointing of the Spirit arrived, but were still empowered for service.
In the Bible, we see many examples of leaders inviting others into leadership roles to grow and learn. This Sunday, Pastor Tim highlights one of those examples in Numbers, chapter 11 and reminds us that it's not about accomplishments, it's about lives being changed.

God redeemed Joseph despite all that happened with his brothers, with his masters, with his family...and he can do that for us too.
In this final session, Pastor Tim outlines the final few chapters of Joseph's story in Genesis and reminds us that God's redemptive work gives us life.
Famine strikes the land, as Joseph predicted, the brothers come to Egypt seeking food for their family, and a family reunion occurs. Although it doesn't happen right away!
This Sunday, Pastor Tim walks us through the changes that occur for the brothers as they learn who Jospeh is and what God has done through him.
This Sunday, we welcomed Pastor Brandon Williams as he reminds us that wherever we go, we will always have Jesus.
Jospeh's life has just as many twists and turns as ours -- with his twists resulting in years of faithfully waiting, in less than favorable conditions. But, as God does to those who are faithful, he not only redeems Joseph, he elevates him to second over all of Egypt.

Proverbs has a lot to say about wealth and work. This Sunday, Pastor Tim focuses on three proverbs to help us understand the difference between working hard and not being lazy.

In our final Growing Deeper session, Pastor Tim shares with us about Sabbath and how the value of this spiritual practice has diminished in a world where a constant "go, go, go" is expected.
The next semester of our small groups begin in just a few weeks, and Pastor Tim takes this Sunday to help us understand the importance of being connected to others in relationship that more than just the quick conversations we have on Sunday mornings.
As with fasting, or meditation, lament isn't discussed often in the modern church. When troubled times come, our western culture allows for grieving to take place, but then there's a "turning point" we are expected to go through without truly placing our hearts (and hurts) before the Lord.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim looks at lament in the Bible and shows us how the practice of taking time to grieve also helps us to grow deeper in our walk with the Lord.
Meditation is scriptural. Old Testament, New Testament, it's all throughout. In the Psalms, King David even comments on meditation often.
But, the practice of slowing ourselves down, "chewing" on God's Word and allowing it to refine our thinking and doing, is not something Christ-followers do today. The world demands busy from us. So, we have to be intentional about slowing down and spending time meditating on what He is saying to us.
Fasting is one of those spiritual practices that is discussed in the Bible often, but not a common practice in our culture.
In this session, Pastor Tim takes some time to help us understand fasting and to remind us that this spiritual practice is something that can help us elevate the eternal above the temporary.

In this final session, Pastor Tim does one more review of the "Prayer Wheel" and then leads a practical exercise going through section step of the prayer wheel at three minutes each.
At the conclusion, he discusses with those in attendance about their experience praying through the twelve sections.
Practicing confession with each other is not a common practice. We are more apt, rightly so, to confess to the Lord as His Word tells us.
But, what if the key to healing, freedom, and reconciliation was taking the time to confess to each other? Lives would be changed, relationships would grow, and our spiritual walk would be deeper with the Lord.
Pastor Tim concludes his discussion on the sections of the "Prayer Wheel" and then works on a practical application spending 18 minutes in prayer, 90 seconds on each section.
Silence and solitude are two practices that are not easy - being still and alone can be challenging! Yet, if we are willing to submit, there is a greater depth we can find in our walk with Christ.

Values are the DNA of any church or organization. Here at Grace Church, our values are "wholeness, community, and sacrifice." This Sunday Pastor Tim shares details of what each of these mean and how all of these together result in discipleship.
This Sunday Pastor Tim reminds us that even though he and Susan have served at Grace for five years, all positions are temporary and that we have to make the most of where we are planted to serve for God's Kingdom, and not our own.
In Mark chapter 14 we learn of a woman who poured a flask of pure nard over the head of Jesus, anointing him during passion week, prior to the passover meal.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim chats with us about this passage and reminds us of the beauty and expression of worship this woman shares with Jesus in front of others and encourages us to "break the jar" of whatever we hold closest in our hearts and to give it to the Lord in faith.
Godly sorrow is a gift, one that we need if we're going to remain tender hearted and quick to repent.
In session five, Pastor Tim focuses on two specific passages to remind us that godly grief and repentance can birth something greater in us and through us -- revival!
King David is one of scriptures greatest heroes and it just so happens he is also an excellent example of repentance. He has such "highs" and "lows" in his life revealing his character and his heart for God.
This Sunday Pastor Tim walks us through Psalm 51 and shows us how a heart for repentance, no matter the severity of our sin, will always bring us redemption in the heart of the Father.
Living a lifestyle of repentance can be challenging; recognizing wrong, confessing of wrong, and repenting of wrong. And all can be done internally before the Lord. However, there is so much power and freedom when you confess, not only in your heart, but with your lips.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim encourages us to take a bold step in our repentance and confess our failures with a trusted friend.
To be an eager and frequent "repenter" requires a self awareness of our humility.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim teaches us to embrace Kingdom realities and that the key to repentance is genuine humility.
In this first session, Pastor Tim reminds us of the importance of repentance and how the stigma in today's world has tarnished the true meaning.
Jesus is our rescuer and despite our best efforts, we can't rescue ourselves.
This Sunday our NextGen Pastor, Jack Gilbert, shares with us the JOY of knowing that He will always rescue us if we are willing to turn to Him.
We know joy through our relationship with Jesus Christ. We experience the joy of KNOWING Him and what He has done for us. We also have opportunity to experience the joy of GOING and sharing with others what He has done for us and that they too can experience the "great joy" He desires to share with them.
He is RISEN!! On this joy-filled day Pastor Tim reminds us of the "great joy" we have access to and that knowing and following Jesus, our "great joy" will never dwindle or fade -- for He is alive and will endure forever!
In Matthew, chapter 16, Jesus says, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me." (NLT)
How are you following Jesus? Are you following "your way" as Simon Peter tried earlier in Matthew 16, or are you intently focused on following Jesus in the example that He set before us?
Reconciliation with others can be more challenging -- especially if they don't look, think, or act like we do (or like). But, unity is the goal and at the foot of the cross is where reconciliation begins.
In this first session, Pastor Tim emphasizes the importance of going back to the basics of our faith and reminding us what the cross represents for each and every one of us.
Ephesians 5, verses 22-28, has some of the more controversial passages in scripture on marriage, specifically because of the misunderstanding and misuse of how wives and husbands should act towards one another.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim tackles this very passage reminding us that all other relationships grow out of how we treat our spouse.
Relational traps are positioned for us all throughout our lives. Often we are able to break free through God's Word, prayer, or worship. But sometimes we get stuck where we are and find ourselves isolated from others, or we have built up justification for our actions based on human inputs and not the word of God.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim discusses with us on these specific situations and how each of us can rescue others caught in the trap.
Conflict is everywhere in life and how we as Christ-followers handle those difficult situations either brings us closer in relationship, or pushes us farther apart.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim focuses on the difficult "one anothers" encouraging us to seek out those who we are at odds with and repair / mend the brokenness.
The Bible references the phrase "one another" many times and in both positive and negative situations. All are for us to learn how to care, love, and respond to people in our lives and on earth.
But one of the most challenging part of living the "one anothers" is knowing "which" people we're supposed to treat in which way. This Sunday, Pastor Tim walks us though how Jesus treated one another's, from Pharisees, to his disciples, to people he meets on the streets. There's nobody that was outside of God's love -- and Jesus not only shows us the way, He IS the way.
One of the first interactions Jonathan (the son of Saul and next to rule Israel) and David had reveals to us how Jonathan submitted to the chosen and anointed King of Israel.
Christian friendships are just as challenging today as they were then. We have our own struggles and we sought to be cared for like David was. But the Lord calls us to be "Jonathan's" in other people's lives. Elevate them and promote them instead of ourselves.
To fully embrace relationships in the way they did in Acts chapter 2, we have to allow the Holy Spirit in to each of our relationships.
God's relationship with each of us is often, unintentionally, placed into a category that is based on relational experiences we have with each other. BUT, the simple truth is that our relationship with God is nothing like we experience on earth.
Having left the Garden of Eden, Adam and Even pass down their relational brokenness to their children Cain and Abel -- where even MORE relational sin is introduced into the world.
Pastor Tim continues his look at pride and shame and how they started in the Garden of Eden in Genesis chapter 3 -- and continue today in the very same ways!
The birth of relationships is revealed in Genesis chapters one and two, and as a result of the enemy lying to Adam and Eve, the breaking of relationships takes place in Genesis three. Which leads us to where we are now!
As a result of the decisions Adam & Eve took in the garden, we are plagued by shame and pride. This Sunday, Pastor Tim calls us to repent of how shame and pride has placed a rift between us and others -- and most importantly between us and God.

God loves you. And this is more than the love you have for a favorite meal, or your car, or any person on earth.

In this final session of this series, Pastor Tim focuses our attention on the older brother and how his selfishness and desire to earn righteousness in the fathers eyes resulted in him missing out on so much that the father offered BOTH of his sons.
In this session, we learn that the father allows his son to take half of his inheritance, leave, and squander it away. This isn't something we would allow! It just seems reckless and wasteful! And all without a word of warning from
But, the father does it willingly, without a lecture or guilt. And as the son returns, he not only runs to him, he throws a huge party to celebrate his return.
In this session, Pastor Tim shares with us three specific insights when looking at the story of the Prodigal Son, specifically with the son, and how despite his confidence of the decisions he made, things had to get worse and worse before transformation took place.
The story of the "Prodigal Son" is all of us. And for many of us, there are still friends or family members in our lives that are lost. They've known the love of Jesus and turned away.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim encourages us to renew our faith in Jesus and pray, together throughout the series, for all the prodigals in our lives to return.
What we DO is just as important as what we SAY. And the difficult (but necessary!) challenge for followers of Christ is to walk the fine line of participating in political conversation and remaining true and faithful to God's word.
As followers of Christ, how we respond to political authority and, more importantly, how we show honor and respect towards political offices can either show how we "fit" into the cultural norm, OR can set us apart. Our response speaks volume to our walk with Christ and our love for His people.
It's our responsibility to steward our voice in a way that shows the love, grace, and truth of our faith in Jesus. This isn't accomplished through shouting matches, or endless debates, or fights over opinions. It's done by seeking Kingdom perspective in all things.
In this first session, Pastor Tim reminds us that real change doesn't happen through political power or having the right person in office. It happens through the love of Jesus Christ.

In Numbers chapter 12, we read that Aaron and Miriam, faithful followers and leaders amongst Israel, criticized Moses because of his marriage to a "Cushite" woman. And as a result they were "called out."
This Sunday, Pastor Tim reminds us that spiritual leaders are not voted on or randomly placed. They are selected and placed by the Lord and it is our responsibility to honor them as we would honor the Lord.
What if instead of "complaining" to each other, we instead "complained" to the Lord? How different would your life look and the relationships you have?
As we continue in Numbers chapter 11, we focus on the middle section where Moses, in his exasperation, speaks to the Lord asking question after question about the current situation Israel is in. And through his complaints, the Lord not only receives them...He answers!
Complaining isn't just something that people are good at now. It's been around from the beginning and it has become so common that we do it out of habit! We forget where we have truly had it worse and convince ourselves that it was better in the past!
This Sunday we learn that the nation of Israel fits into that mold as well. They left Egypt, redeemed from their oppressors, and then find reasons why their current situation is worse than their slavery in Egypt! And God, through his unending grace, continues to provide all their needs -- just like us!
The book of Mark details the account of Jesus and as we read through it we become more aware of the Kingdom Reality that He lived to teach us, suffered to spare us, and died and was resurrected to save us.
As we conclude our series in the book of Mark, we are reminded that Jesus commands us to "Go," and to "Preach." This is the Good News that we get to share with the world!
In Mark 15, we read about the trial and crucifixion of Jesus Christ, and that instead of us receiving the sentence of "death," He instead takes our place so that we may have eternal life with the Father. Because we are ALL Barabbas.
In Mark chapter 14 we learn that Jesus was abandoned, betrayed, and denied. And through it all, the suffering he suffering he endured, we will never be abandoned, betrayed, or denied by him.
There's three important points from Mark chapter 13. Jesus is going to return, we are all commanded to "be ready," and whatever you doing will be meaningless when he returns. So, share with those you know, or don't know, and help them on the "life raft."
In Mark chapter 12 we are reminded by the poor widow of what it means to give what we have -- sacrificially. And this is a stark reminder that things that are celebrated in the world, are unimportant in the Kingdom of God and that as followers of Christ, we must be champions of the unseen.
Jesus enters Jerusalem and very quickly begins to upset the Scribes, Pharisees, and teachers of religious law -- beginning with flipping tables at the temple.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim reminds us that for every obstacle that the Pharisees set in place in the Bible, Jesus overcame it. And that Jesus will reveal obstacles in our lives that we have set in place...and through Him, we can over come them.
To embrace Kingdom greatness is not really what we think it is. As a matter of fact, it's the opposite of what the world tells us.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim discusses the interaction between James, John and Jesus from Mark chapter 10 and how the disciples declare that they are ready for the "bitter cup of suffering." But, they truly didn't know the real meaning of it.
In Mark, chapter 9, we see Jesus interact with a man who proclaims his lack of faith - as many of us have encountered in our own lives! But, all of us can find encouragement in this text that our doubts don't disqualify us from God's grace.
This Sunday, Pastor Jack reminds us that not only is Jesus our Provider, he is also our Provision.
He is RISEN! He is risen INDEED!
This Sunday, Pastor Tim takes us to Luke 24 to talk about a unique encounter Cleopas and his friend experience on the road to Emmaus.
Jesus never backed down from Pharisee questions or accusations; often responding to them with scripture to not only help them see the truth but to correct them. This Sunday, we see in Mark chapter 7, the Pharisee's accuse Jesus' disciples of not following tradition revealing that they have elevated the "rules" over the Word of God.
Jesus is the greatest leader -- ever. As he leads and trains his disciples he equips and empowers them to not just follow in ministry but to DO ministry, he shows them balance between a life of ministry and rest, and finally he continually encourages them in their faith through grace and compassion.
In the story of the demon possessed man we learn that Jesus has the absolute authority over every demonic spirit that terrorizes humans; and that only through faith in him can we find salvation, healing and freedom.
In Mark chapter 4, there are several parables Jesus teaches on. And all of them reveal the Kingdom of God as upside down when compared to the priorities of this world. So... will you embrace the Kingdom way of life?
In Mark chapter 3, Pastor Tim walks us through verses 1-6 and reminds us that as much as we are rooting for Jesus to show those Pharisees, often times we find ourselves to be the Pharisees. We have to daily seek Him, daily walk with Him through God's Word, daily let Jesus become more a part of our lives.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim focuses on Jesus healing the paralytic from Mark chapter 2 and discusses the value of forgiveness of sins, which happened first, and the value of healing, which happened second.
In chapter one of the book of Mark, we see Jesus being baptized by John, the beginning of his ministry, and most importantly we see Jesus established as the Son of God.
Prayer is the priority. Worship is on our lips. God's Word is our sword.
Now, as we fight, we need to constantly remember that our battlefield isn't a street or a neighborhood, it's in the mind, will and emotions. After all, we are not fighting WITH people; we fight FOR people.
In this final week, Pastor Tim talks about the scripture and the importance it holds in our lives as we fight.

"Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try my and know my thoughts and see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:23-24, ESV
To Stand in the Middle, between truth and love, with regard to racial tensions, we must look to the Lord balance us. Not leaning fully to one side or the other, but always recognizing differences and celebrating, rather than stereotyping. And always remembering, that it starts with each one of us.
Racial tensions have existed for a long time, and one of the most prominent racial divides in history is that between Jews (Hebrews) and Gentiles. But, as Paul writes in Ephesians, Jesus "put to death" that dividing line through his sacrifice on the cross and it is His desire that we live united.
In part two, Pastor Tim details out ways we can respond like Christ either individually, or broadly, within appropriate public settings. No matter where we are, or who we are speaking to, we always have to remember that the person we engage with is loved by Jesus. And we must stand in the middle with deep humility and genuine compassion.
In this session, Pastor Tim calls out, by name, the sexual chaos that this world has come to accept over the last 100 years. Even though the this list sounds egregious, many of these activities have become accepted by Christians in our world today. And as a result, we need to repent of these sins and live out the truth of scripture as an example to the culture around us, showing them the real Jesus living through us.

In almost every way that the world works there is always comparision, and the church is not immune to this! We often find ourselves comparing worship, or teaching, or ministries, or facilities, or children's programs as we visit or travel from church to church.
But, as the Apostle Paul shows us in the book of 1 Corinthians, churches follow Jesus -- Paul, who has written so much of the New Testament, follow's Jesus. And no matter who the leader is, or how amazing the program within the church is, if they are not a servant first, then they are only accomplishing things through their own strength...and that won't last.
We all have value and purpose in the little "C" church. We are all part of the ekklesia, regardless of where we are called, or what we are called to.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim continues in 1 Corinthians 12 and takes a look at how we, as the ekklesia, cannot exclude weaker or unimportant parts of the body. Those who are lesser in the body of Christ are greater, worthy of greater honor, and indispensable.
There are many things that the community of Christ-followers are instructed to do, such as worship, fellowship, sharing of God's word. But the primary mission of the body, of the ekklesia, is to fulfill the instructions that Jesus gave us -- to include the Great Commission.

I think we would all agree that Jesus is our foundation - but what does he have to say about the ekklesia?
This Sunday, Pastor Tim takes a look at what Jesus says when Jesus specifically mentions ekklesia in the gospel of Matthew and how those two chapters help us to define who the church is.
WE are the church.
In this introduction, Pastor Tim focuses on the basics. What does the greek word "ekklesia" mean, and more importantly what does it not mean.
Simply put, the Kingdom of God is upside-down. Often we find ourselves looking to do the minimum required, and the Kingdom tells us to go the extra mile. The world says that leaders are always at the top, but the Kingdom tells us that leaders are found at the feet of others.
This morning, Pastor Tim shares with us out of Luke, chapter 6, verses 37 and 38 about how this upside down-ness not only shapes our personal giving, but is shaping how Grace Church gives to those in our city who are in need.
The word, "believe" in our culture today, is used in so many situations and contexts, but in the Bible it means to place confidence in, to have faith, to think to be true.
This Easter Sunday, Pastor Tim shares with us three different reactions to Jesus' resurrection and the empty tomb, and three different ways we come to believe.So, the question remains, are you a John, Peter, or Mary when it comes to believing in Jesus?
In our culture today, to be a part of the "in-crowd" you have to go along with everyone else, no matter where or what they are doing! Most often those actions result in our identity becoming adapted to who we spend time with most.
But, on this Palm Sunday, Pastor Tim shows us that despite the multiple times Jesus was set before a crowd, He still did "what the Father told Him to do," and, "said what the Father told Him to say." Never once giving into the crowd and always sticking close to His Father.
The enemy continues to assault the self-perception of humanity, effectively removing all authority of a loving and grace filled Creator. But as followers of Jesus, we have to passionately love others AND passionately cling to the truth of the scriptures.
In exploring our identity, the first thing we have to do is throw away anything that the world has told us, "the scripts" or words that we have learned through our growing up, and look to God's word about what is true. Only the Creator can define the creation.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim starts to delve into answering some of the questions about, "Who Am I," by looking first at 1 Peter, chapter 2, and reading what God actually says about his children.
King Saul and King David were the first two Kings of Israel, but they were stark contrasts from each other. And ultimately between the two, knowing our identity in the Lord, was one of the biggest factors that separated them.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim compares the two Kings and shows us how King David's identity was linked to the Lord God and how King Saul, despite his best efforts, never fully learned who he was.
"Who Am I?" This is the second most important question we can ask in our lives. And in the world today, humanity seems unable to accurately answer the question -- revealing the root of our problems.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim steps into our new series reminding us that no one, not a single one of us are righteous before God. We are "utterly unrighteous."
BUT, we are transformed because we believe that Jesus is Lord in our lives and through his grace we are redeemed!
Revival is not manufactured and it's certainly not man made or created based on a specific environment. It's started through the Holy Spirit leading us to repentance -- and it has been the same thing over and over again. We just have to humble ourselves, seek the Lord for His forgiveness, and revival happens!
This Sunday, we welcomed Pastor Jeff Fischer to share a message with us about how we can experience revival by first humbling and consecrating ourselves so that we can repent before the Lord. Because the Lord CAN and WILL do it again!
Are you a risk taker? Do you often find yourself stepping out, in faith, to act on something that you feel the Holy Spirit speak to you? How about this thought, did you know that you are God's masterpiece? His greatest, most loved creation?
In following Jesus, life isn't meant to be predictable or safe, but it is fulfilling. When we go beyond our comfort and accept his invitation, we find peace, grace, and miracles.
In Numbers we read that the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the half tribe of Manasseh commit to fight for their brothers -- "until we have brought them to their place." And later in the book of Joshua, they are called to do just that.
This morning, Pastor Tim shares these passages to show us the illustration of a healthy church partnering with God's plan. But it's more than that! Being committed to a church, willing to walk out our faith with a growing, healthy body of believers is just as important now as it was then! And making a covenant together -- and agreement to focus our hearts on wholeness, community, and discipleship -- is how we can affirm that "we are in this together."
As Israel approached the Jordan to cross, Joshua chapter 3, verse 5, tells us that they needed to "consecrate" themselves before crossing -- meaning "get your insides ready!"
So for us, as we step into the next season and "cross the Jordan" with the Lord in our hearts, how can we get our insides ready? How can we consecrate ourselves? What can we hope and believe God for...on the other side of the Jordan?
God's command to Joshua, and Israel, was to "be strong and courageous." For us? It's the same thing...fear, apprehension, timidity...they have no place in our lives. And to help us achieve that, God has given us His Word that lives in our hearts, pours from our lips, and is evident in our daily lives
In this final part, Pastor Tim encourages us, through the same words God spoke to Joshua, to think, speak, and act in the truth of God's Word as we walk the final ten miles together. And then, with God's promise on our hearts and minds, we look to the next journey that God has for US!
As we continue our look at Joshua 1:1-9, Pastor Tim reminds us of a few things...
1) As Israel entered the Promised Land, together, so we must walk in unity with each other and the Lord.
2) Israel will continue to see the mighty works the Lord has done in stages, and we too will see those things one by one.
3) Israel received their full inheritance as described to Joshua - a place they can call HOME - and we too must remember that nobody is beyond the blessing and inheritance of the Lord.
In Joshua, chapter 1, Moses has passed and Joshua becomes the leader of Israel. As he stands on the plains of Moab, just 10 miles from the Jordan, God speaks to him and encourages him.
As it was for Israel at that defining moment, so it is for Grace Church. We are sons and daughters of a mighty God and we are poised to walk the next ten miles into what God has for us. We just have to have to be obedient, have faith, and place our hopes in the promises God has already declared for us.
Nehemiah knew exactly what to do when when he learned what happened to Jerusalem and the people of Israel - it was his first action! And what did God do? He answered every...single...prayer!
This Sunday our NextGen Pastor, Jack Gilbert, shares an encouraging message on how we can find greater focus through fasting and prayer and hear the heart of the Father.
So often in the Bible God's people were getting in trouble for forgetting and / or refusing to remember what God has already done and what He has already said. This is why it is so important to look back...first!
This Sunday, as we move into 2023, Pastor Tim encourages us to remember where we've come from, the prayers God has answered, and be reminded of the miracles he ha already done. Then we can use that as a compass to guide us where we are going next.
By the Holy Spirit, a seed was placed in Mary and by the Holy Spirit, Christ is formed in the people of God who by faith "called upon the name of the Lord."
This Christmas Day, we celebrate Immanuel, God with US and God IN US.
Before Jesus arrived at Advent, many people in scripture also waited. Mary, Joseph, Zechariah and Elizabeth, Simeon, Wise Men, the angels! Even God the Father waited...since Genesis 3 when the loss of his relationship with his prized creation, he was waiting for disobedience and distance to be replaced by restoration and closeness.
This Christmas Eve we remember that Jesus is now waiting for us -- he's waiting for YOU. Do you accept him and your Lord and Savior?
The law teaches that life is in the blood, and although we are not born into God's family, we receive a "spiritual transfusion" through Jesus Christ. We are spiritually transformed from salves, to children, to heirs! There is no greater picture of love -- our lives transformed through the miraculous birth, life, death, and resurrection of the Lord of All, Jesus Christ.
As we "Experience Advent...Slowly," Pastor Tim shares with us the love Jesus has for each and every one of us and how we can declare God's love in our hearts.
Joy is so much more than how the world defines it. It's a gladness of heart that results in rejoicing. And through the Holy Spirit, we experience heavenly joy!

The word "Lord" in the New Testament means more than a title or name, it describes a position of authority. Often in today's church, we are quick to recognize, and say, "Jesus is Lord" when we are speaking of salvation, but when it comes to allowing him to have the "power of deciding" in our lives we quickly shy away from his Lordship.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim beings the series, "Lord of All" by helping us understand "Lordship" and what it means in our life.
In Acts chapter 15 we read about how the leaders and elders of the church at the time had to come together to debate an issue. Ultimately James, the brother of Jesus, made the decision but not before he has a chance to hear from other elders in the church.
In this next season for Grace, Pastor Tim has appointed Elders to come alongside both Susan and him to guide the church. Take a few minutes to learn more about their roles and responsibilities.
James chapter 1 tells us to be "doers of the word" and not just hearers and that following Jesus will result in a life that joyfully serves others.
Pastor Jack steps in this Sunday to talk about the importance of loving Jesus and serving those around us reaps great rewards in heaven.
The most precious worship we can offer God is not singing, shouting, reciting, declaring, mediating, lifting hands, or dancing before him. The action that most fully brings our adoration, exaltation to God is personal sacrifice -- presenting ourselves to God, not in part, not with reservations, not only on Sundays, but fully through each moment of our lives. THIS is our spiritual act of worship.
Worship is warfare and it is one of the most powerful weapons in our arsenal against the enemy. In 2 Chronicles 20 we learn about an instance where worship preceded a battle, was celebrated during battle, and continued following the battle.
God has already won the battle for you. Are you trusting Him to do it?
In Acts chapter 16, Paul and Silas were arrested and experienced an unforgettable "bad day." But, what do they do in the midst of that jail cell is likely what would be the last thing on our minds! They worship God!
No matter the situation that you are in, it's an appropriate time for worship. Good - bad - ugly...none of it is a surprise to the Lord and it's our joy to worship Him through it all.
So, turn on that worship playlist and sing loud.
In 2 Chronicles 5, we learn about the details of worship in the inner sanctuary at the temple, where the Ark of the Covenant was placed and animals were sacrificed.
But, through the love, grace, and mercy of Jesus Christ, we don't need a temple. We don't need the ark to be in the presence of the Lord. And most of all we don't need animal sacrifices to be cleansed from our sins. Jesus became our once-for-all sacrifice.
In this session, Pastor Tim discusses two elements when it comes to our preparation of worship.
On the third installment of our Family Sunday, we welcomed our Missions Pastor, Carey Higgins, to share a word with us.
Through the Psalms we see how David would become changed through his words as he worshiped the Lord. The same thing happens to us. It's almost impossible to continue in the hurt or sorrows this world can bring.
But, we have to be careful WHAT we worship. Many things can bring temporary relief, but true peace, rest, and love comes through the worship of the Lord God.
In session two, Pastor Tim looks at glimpses of heaven that are recorded in Isaiah 6 and Revelation 4 and shows us how when we worship God, our honor, adoration, and attention should be directed at the identity and actions of the Lord.

Despite all that Ruth had gone through, we learn that not only did God have a redemptive plan for her, but she and Boaz were part of the redemptive plan of all mankind.
In this final installment on the book of Ruth, Pastor Tim shows us that the lineage of Jesus included names that were not so great people. Both men AND women. But despite any judgements or "self-disqualifications" you place on yourself, God is your redeemer. We just have to be willing to let Him do HIS work in us.

Sowing and reaping is a concept that is discussed many times throughout the Bible. But in Ruth chapter 2 we have an opportunity to see it first hand. Ruth plants seeds of loyalty towards Naomi, faith in Naomi's God, and respect towards Boaz and his workers and field.
And as a result, she harvests food from Boaz's fields along with earning his protection, admiration, and respect.
One of the glorious realities in following Jesus is knowing that our lives are not left to chance or fate. God's hand moves us into the perfect position.
This is what happened to Ruth. She attended to what was right in front of her, working to bring food to her and Naomi, and as a result, Boaz notices. This setup Ruth to be perfectly positioned to receive God's blessing.
On this Mother's Day, Pastor Tim looks at the relationship between Naomi and Ruth. Naomi's life had a powerful impact on Ruth. So much that Ruth choose to leave all she knew to follow her mother-in-law. This devotion leads Ruth to Israel, and it's there where the story of her faithfulness grows.
The introduction to Ruth is difficult to read. Things go downhill really fast through the loss of Naomi's husband and her two sons, leaving just her, Ruth and Orpah.
But, this situation isn't too different for many of us. There has been some sort of traumatic event in our lives or in the lives of someone we know. And as we read through the book of Ruth, we are going to see many similarities in her life that match with ours.

This Resurrection Sunday, Pastor Tim shows us how even the resurrection of Christ is a paradox, and that when Mary Magdalene and "the other" Mary met the angel and found the tomb empty, it was in a cemetery!
On this Palm Sunday, Pastor Tim shares the first installment of his new series "Paradox." This episode focuses on what a paradox is and how it is seen throughout scriptures, specifically with Jesus' arrival to Jerusalem.
There are "levels" of forgiveness we experience and give to others. The first two levels are excellent ways to forgive (Luke 17:3-4, and Matthew 18:21-22), however the third level isn't about what Jesus said, it's about what he did as he was beaten and bloodied and hanging on the cross. "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34) This kind of forgiveness has a quality and depth beyond "transactional" approaches to forgiveness...it's given, and remains given.
In this final installment of the Breakthrough series, Pastor Tim takes one final look at forgiveness that was extended to all of us through the words and actions of Jesus.
This Sunday we welcomed Pastor Peter Bonanno as he shares with us the importance of guiding and helping people to see who Jesus IS in our lives.
The widow from Luke 21 was seen by Jesus as putting so much more in the "offering box" than all the others. In todays financial terms, she gave a total of 69 cents! But as a percentage of her wealth, she gave so much more.
This poor widow sacrificed and gave so much more than she could offer and that faith is never missed by the Father. Even our last 69 cents.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim looks at these passages and talks with us about sacrificial giving and how, through faith, we can become a part of the supernatural work that God is doing IN this world.
4.64 billion dollars. That's what the unforgiving servant owed the King in the parable that Jesus taught us in Matthew, chapter 18. But as we read further in the parable, the debt was forgiven.
Later in the same parable that same servant, who was forgiven a debt that he could not have paid back, in turn demanded a debt be repaid that was so minuscule compared to the debt he owed. $9,000 compared to $4.64 billion.
That is what God has done for us through Jesus Christ. He doesn't allow a "sin debt," of which the payment is death, to default. He put the blame on Jesus and released us to live a debt free life. So, how have we in turn forgiven others? Are we acting like the servant did demanding a smaller payment of a fellow servant? Or are we extending the same forgiveness that was given to us?
Having a conversation about tithe is never easy...for some it's very uncomfortable; but ignoring it doesn't answer questions either.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim focuses our hearts to breakthrough stigmas surrounding tithing and show how the Lord desires to provide not only a financial breakthrough in each of our lives, but a kingdom breakthrough through the faithful giving of his children.
Humility is often easily spoken of, but difficult to enact in our lives. After all it's so simple to look at someone else and think, "at least I'm not like them."
But, in the parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector (Luke 18:9-14), Jesus teaches the opposite of that. And through the parable, we see a glimpse of how Jesus wants us to learn humility before God; to have that breakthrough of conviction and forgiveness so that we can walk closer to him through our lives.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim talks with us about the close connection between forgiveness and humility and how they are so tightly linked to each other. And how we can find true breakthrough when we humble ourselves, like the tax collector, with a fist to our chest and claim, "God, have mercy on me, a sinner."
Breakthrough doesn't come if you just wait long enough. It is a battle...not only for the lordship of our lives, but for the lives of our children. We have to be intentional about surrendering and looking to the Lord to guide us.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim looks to Luke, chapter 16, and reminds us that breakthrough comes when we relent control and submit to the Lordship of Jesus...because we can not serve both God and money.
In our walk of faith, we often we become stuck, or stagnant where we are. Sometimes not looking to move forward, but sensing in our spirit that things are off or just "not right."
That lingering feeling is normal in the life of a Christ-follower! That nudge from the Holy Spirit that we need to move forward and take a step, in faith, and experience breakthrough.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim introduces the series and sets the focus for Grace Church to learn how God can, and will, breakthrough our finances and forgiveness.
We've learned about the values of Grace Church: Wholeness, Discipleship, Community. We've discussed the importance our mission and what the mission of Grace Church is: "Extending grace...one relationship at a time." And last week we looked at the vision of Grace church, the direction, which is: "To become a church family where every one reaches the next one with God's grace."
In this final part of the series, Pastor Tim takes some time to discuss the importance of church membership and the covenant, or heart contract, that links each of us together through the name of Jesus.
Our values are wholeness, discipleship, community.
Our mission is" extending grace...one relationship at a time."
This Sunday, Pastor Tim shares the vision for Grace Church. Only this vision isn't extravagant, or extensive. It's simple, like the gospel; and it's not about the achievement or being known in the city of Springfield. It's about surrender and obedience - just like Philip.
Now that we have explored the values of Grace Church, which are wholeness, community, and discipleship, it's time to look at our Mission.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim breaks down the mission of Grace Church in this next season and how the "one" lost sheep, the "one" lost coin, or the "one" lost prodigal is worth the prayer and effort to find.
Last August, Pastor Tim shared with us three values that are at the heart of Grace Church. Those values are wholeness, discipleship, and community.
With those values in our hearts and on our minds, Pastor Tim begins a new series that looks towards this new season in Grace Church. A season where God begins to define and prioritize with some clarity "who we are," "what have we been called to do," and "where are we going."
God doesn't want us to "seek everyone." He wants us to seek every one...one at a time - with love, grace, compassion, and tenderness. Just as Jesus sought US!
Volunteers are more than just people who greet you, change diapers, help out each and every Sunday. They aren't a group of folks who begrudgingly come in early, or stay late to clean or help setup. The volunteers at Grace Church are "Ministry Partners" who get to serve Jesus, care for others, and seek those who don't know Jesus or have lost their way. They receive and share the love of Jesus with anyone and everyone who walks through our doors.
And that's why, on this Family Sunday, we honor all the incredible ministry partners who help us day and day out at Grace Church! Your service to the Lord is seen and appreciated!

This Sunday we welcomed Pastor Jack Gilbert, our NextGen Pastor, to share a message with us as we look to the new year!
The peak of the Christmas season is Christmas Day. The plan put in motion, lights on and ready, the music selected and playing. Gatherings with family, friends, and guests and the gifts handed out and celebrated....but what about the day AFTER Christmas?
In the final addition to The Best Christmas Forever series, Pastor Tim talks with us about Simeon. A man of God who was righteous and devout, who was told by the Holy Spirit he would meet the Messiah. His reaction, upon coming in the presence of Jesus Christ, is one that all of us will experience, each time we come close to him. We just have to spend time with Him.
Each and every Christmas we are reminded of the perfect gift that was given for all mankind to receive. A gift that is free and given freely. But not everyone chooses to receive this gift.
This Christmas Eve, Pastor Tim reminds us that we are all the sons and daughters of God and that the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ is the gift that will last forever.
Why would the God of all creation, the one who established His people through the descendants of Abraham and Issac select shepherds and Wise Men to come and see the birth of the Savior? Why not select religious leaders of those days? Why not select someone prominent or influential?
God can see so much more than what we see. He knows and understands the heart. So, why select shepherds and Wise Men to meet Baby Jesus? Because they are the ones on the outside, they are the ones who don't fit in...just like US!
Christmas lights and Christmas music are pretty solid indicators of the Christmas season. However, songs and lights don't last forever. Lights wear out and need to be replaced...even the most beloved Christmas songs eventually lose their luster, or they are replaced with newer more modern versions of the song. And even then, those songs fade away!!
BUT... God's glory and radiance last forever. The songs of the angels, even now, are still being sung in the heavens and God is calling each of us to be a part of HIS glory! Amen!
Putting together the best Christmas plan is difficult...at best! We try to account for every detail and end up adjusting as the days come and go.
But the best Christmas plan pales in comparison to the plan that God had for his children from the beginning of time. The plan of redemption. The plan of salvation. The plan of forgiveness.
As the Christmas season has us put our best efforts into planning and orchestrating Christmas gatherings, let's never lose sight of the perfect plan for ALL of humanity. A child born to a virgin mother, living sinless life, dying on the cross for our sins, and rising on the third day...providing forgiveness for ALL.
As we are blessed by our salvation in Jesus, often times we hesitate to act as He would act. Even when the Holy Spirit encourages us, we still manage to push it down!
This Sunday Pastor Jack Gilbert, our NextGen Pastor, encourages us to look for opportunities to be a blessing to those around us just as Jesus did.
As we close out the Life in the Spirit series, Pastor Tim reminds us that Peter wasn't always the powerhouse of faith and spiritual strength that he is after Acts 2. He often tried to act through his own power and strength, even when he was walking with and learning from Jesus!
But once he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, he too healed and performed signs and wonders as only Jesus did.
This Sunday be reminded, that if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, the Holy Spirit lives IN YOU. You are anointed to go and share the Good News with the world as a vessel for HIS use.
As we receive the baptism of the Spirit, we are given access to spiritual gifts that allow us to minister to people in the same way that Jesus ministered. These gifts don't prove our spirituality or make us more important than others. They are simply tools, for our use, to accomplish Kingdom priorities!
This Sunday, Pastor Tim does a surface review of the gifts of the Spirit as listed in 1 Corinthians 12 and takes a few moments to discuss the importance of using those gifts to help others - not yourself.
During Peter's first sermon in Acts, he references the Old Testament book of Joel to remind the people who were listening that the baptism of the Holy is for young & old, rich & poor, Jew & Gentile, and male & female. And throughout the book of Acts how God's Spirit moves just as Peter had said.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim identifies each of those specific situations in Acts and reminds us that even though this is what the early church experienced, it's what we should expect, and that we have to release any ignorance, or any measure control so that we may experience the Spirit as they did.
Aren't we ALL called?
John the Baptist's parents knew from before he was born that he was set apart and that he was filled with the Holy Spirit. They probably didn't realize at the time that they were preparing the way for the Messiah as spoken of in the Old Testament. It's likely that they taught him and prepared him for a ministry assignment that would guide him in what the Lord God had for his life.
As we raise the next generation, shouldn't we be doing the same? Shouldn't we be teaching our children the ways and word of God? Shouldn't we be preparing them as if they were going to be the next world changer? Shouldn't we show them patience, love, kindness, peace, joy, goodness, gentleness, and self-control that we want them to learn?
We believe that the Holy Spirit IS our baptizer. And it's not some strange or even awkward event only for those "elite" or select few Christians who are better than the rest. It's for everyone and it's a natural step in our growth as Christ-followers. But often times those who are baptized by the Spirit are flawed vessels and can often be tempted or confused in the Spirit's expression or intention.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim helps us to bring clarity to the the words that Christ spoke regarding the Holy Spirit and reminds us that it's important to trust in the Holy Spirit through all situations.
Spiritual growth is something that takes time. It takes focused time in God's Word, time in prayer, and time listening to what the Holy Spirit has to say about your life. As we are all tempted to be distracted by the works of the flesh, we have to overcome them with the fruit that the Holy Spirit provides.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim discusses how the Holy Spirit's indwelling presence can cultivate the fruit that brings profound spiritual growth. And ultimately bring us closer to our walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Have you ever considered what you feed your mind and heart? When you mindlessly unlock your phone what apps do you turn on?
We truly are a new creation when we accept Christ into our hearts and receive the Holy Spirit. And with the Holy Spirits teaching, we are able to recognize things in our lives that we need to be freed from. So much about this world is meant to distract us or divert us from God's truth. But through the Holy Spirit, our Liberator, we can identify those things, and be free in Christ Jesus.
Throughout the New Testament the Holy Spirit is called many different names, "Spirit of God," "Spirit of Holiness," "Spirit of Truth," "Spirit of the Lord," Etc. But one of the names of the Holy Spirit goes beyond being just a name. This name is a reminder that we are never alone. This name ensures that he will always be there to teach us and remind us. This name is "The Helper" and all we have to do us just take time to listen to him and he will reveal so much of God's glory in our lives.
This Sunday Pastor Tim tackles two more words that often get overlooked or quickly dismissed as "religious" terms in the church today. Those words are "indwelling" and "sealing." Each of these words have just as much weight as "truth" and "conviction" as Pastor Tim mentioned in his previous message.
But what is missed is the significant implication each of those words have in our lives. The Holy Spirit is WITH US (always) and He has CLAIMED US as sons and daughters of a gracious Father.
To fully grasp the Holy Spirit takes time and the topic is like a textbook - you have to work through every detail about the Spirit in an orderly fashion.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim shares with us two very important aspects of the Holy Spirit...1) Truth and 2) Conviction. Both of these words bring freedom to our lives, through the Holy Spirit, but often these words land hard in our lives depending on what's going on around us. But, to experience Life in the Spirit, we need to settle into the Holy Spirit's truth and be willing to open ourselves up to His conviction.
Jesus told us that it is to "our advantage" that He goes away so that we could receive the Holy Spirit (John 16:7), and yet, for many Christians today He is a mystery, dismissed, or worse, ignored and grieved.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim begins his sermon series titled, "Life in the Spirit," where he is inviting each of us to learn (or re-learn) who the Holy Spirit is, and experience (or re-experience) His presence in our lives.
In Acts chapter two we learn how the Holy Spirit was released in to the hearts of those who waited per the instructions of Jesus. This first release of the Holy Spirit after Jesus’ ascension, was proof that the words of the messiah were 100% true.
As we prepare for the next series on the Holy Spirit, Pastor Tim takes a Sunday to remind us of that incredible moment in Acts chapter 2 where the first church receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Being really excited about Jesus is just an everyday thing for Christians. But have you considered what it is specifically you are excited about?
This Sunday we welcomed back our Missions Pastor, Carey Higgins, as he shared with us about four different things he's excited about when you encounter the love of Jesus. Those four things are, holiness, healing, help, and hope.
In this final session, Pastor Tim reminds us of what the values of Grace Church are, and their importance. But, he goes on to explain that within our values there's an intersection where all three values meet. It's in that intersection where we learn about the anchor to wholeness, community, and discipleship.
Discipleship is central to why we are here. In Acts, chapter 9, Paul (then known as Saul) is physically healed, baptized in the Holy Spirit, and water baptized. And each of these were not boxes to be checked, they were part of Saul's transformation!
As he begins his ministry, he begins to invest in his the lives of those he's with, and has someone who is discipling him. He is being discipled and discipling constantly!
Each of us has been, or are being discipled, and in turn it's important for each of us to disciple! As a matter of fact, when we each heard about Jesus, it was from someone sharing their testimony and revealing to us who Jesus is!
Grace Church value number three is discipleship and it's a value that should be in each of our lives.
Last week Pastor Tim, introduced "Wholeness" as the first Grace Church value and highlighted the importance of being spiritually, physically, emotionally, and relationally whole.
This week he jumps into Acts, chapter 9, to highlight how Paul (then known as Saul) experienced "wholeness" through his initial interaction with Jesus. But, beyond this, when Paul interacted with Ananias and received healing, his salvation, and was filled with the Holy Spirit, he was welcomed into a "community" of Christ followers through Barnabas. A community in which he had persecuted, only to be humbled by the Lord Jesus and welcomed into.
"Community" is the second Grace Church value and the significance of Community for Grace Church has never been more important.
In this first installment, Pastor Tim defines introduces the idea of values and how they define each of us and the organizations / churches that we belong to.
Additionally, we take a look at the first value for Grace Church, wholeness, and what it means for each of us physically, spiritually, relationally, emotionally, and mentally to be whole not only individually, but whole as a body of believers.
When it comes to healing our wounds, we have to remember to anchor ourselves in the truth of God's Word. The Liar will try his best to convince us of doubt, fear, worry, or speak the fatal words that would cause us to pause, "Did God really say...?"
In this final session of "Healing Our Deepest Wounds," Pastor Tim reminds us that it's worth every opportunity to spend time in the word of God and to have a deep passion for the scriptures so that the culture of this world, or the lies of the enemy, don't pull us away.
The world today tries to convince each of us of our purpose. As a result many people look to that definition, provided by the world, to build their sense of identity.
But from the beginning, God had a divine purpose for men and women. Each of these purposes intended to bring us closer to God the Father as we look to Him to see our true identity and receive love and healing as we walk closer to Him.
The prodigal son searched for love out in the world and never found love, or acceptance. When he ran out of money, everyone and everything was gone! But as he returned home, he experienced love from his father that was always there, if not more than before!
This is God's love! His love is shown in his looking, in his pursuit, and in his extravagance. And this love isn't counterfeit, never disappoints, or has any conditions.
Grace’s new NextGen Pastor, Jack Gilbert, shared this family Sunday about the power of example. Children, teens (really all of us!) become what we SEE modeled — not what we’re TOLD to be. When we focus on putting Jesus at the center of every part of our lives, we become worthy of imitation.
The crisis of identity was present in the Garden of Eden at the very beginning, and as a result of sin, doubt was introduced into the heart of humanity leading us to believe that we are the ones who define our own identity.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim contrasts the story of man's fall in the garden in the Old Testament with the parable of the prodigal son in the New Testament and shows us how only the creator is the only one capable of defining his creation.
Our parents were broken people. And with a heart of good intentions, most dads did their best to raise their children. However this didn't always have amazing results in our lives. But the importance forgiving our fathers, no matter the mistake, has a direct impact on our own healing.
This week, Pastor Tim shares part two, "The Dad Connection," with us and shows us how we often times assign attributes of our earthly fathers to God the Father. And that despite our greatest attempts, we cannot receive true healing unless we are willing to forgive as often as necessary.
Wounds run deep in all of us. And these aren't the "someone cut me off," or "I'm hurt because of what someone said," kinds of hurt. These are hurts that are deep in our hearts that take root in our lives. Instead of conquering enemies and receiving their inheritance, they instead compromised and tried to make neighbors instead of enemies in the Promised Land.

Always be willing to serve. Always be willing to teach. Always be willing to give a helping hand. That is what we are ALL called to do.
In part 1 Pastor Tim focuses on Psalm 78:1-9 (NLT) and shows us the responsibility we all have to preserve, teach, train, and raise the next generation in the “things our Father told us.”
He also discusses how discipline the next generation is a top priority and closes with an exciting announcement to move in the right direction to achieve that top priority.
In the story of the woman at the well, Jesus showed us many ways on how to share the gospel with both relational sensitivity and creative, yet truthful communication.
In this final session looking at John chapter 4, Pastor Tim shows us how the Holy Spirit doesn't play a side part or secondary role in someone hearing or responding to the gospel. Everything we do in Christ, everything we experience in Christ is facilitated by the Spirit of God.
Truth IS hard to swallow. But Jesus never feigned from the truth of God's word. Not for the woman at the well, not for his disciples, and certainly not for the Pharisees.
But the truth of the gospel is transformational truth. It's the only truth that has no argument. It's the only truth that is initially offensive for everyone to hear, because it IS truth for each of us.
This Sunday, Pastor Tim shares on how Jesus handled truth with the woman at the well in John chapter 4, and how HE is the master at communicating creatively and truthfully.
When Mary and John saw the empty tomb, they each had a completely different reaction. Mary initially saw hopelessness, while John was filled with hope!
For us, the empty tomb means a living Lord! Our faith in Him gives way to an indestructible hope in the risen King!
On this Resurrection Sunday, Pastor Tim talks about how the Lord God created the perfect garden for Adam and Eve and how pride, disobedience, deception and ultimately sin took that all away from us.
BUT, God's plan is perfect and he sent His only Son to redeem the whole world of that sin through Jesus Christ...and WE are invited into that miracle!
Are you living with margin? Are you able to manage those unforeseen or unexpected situations that inevitably crop up?
How about patience? Not just the run of the mill 'patience' (although that is still necessary), but what about compassionate patience that the Lord has for us?
With the Woman at the Well, which Pastor Tim has named "Wendy," Jesus shows us through his interactions with her that these two items belong together and work hand-in-hand.
To share the gospel often means that we have to step out of our comfort zone and speak about what the love of Jesus has done in our lives. But, often times that discussion can feel very uncomfortable!

HOW to share the gospel in the world today seems to be confusing and difficult. Especially in a world that often doesn’t want to hear it.

At this very moment, we are living in the days of God's grace. But this grace won't last forever. We have the freedom, right now, to declare our hearts and follow Jesus. And there isn't a moment to waste, because Jesus is coming again.

Continuing our look into Samson in Judges Chapter 15, we learn that Samson often isn't all that different from us. Not only does he have an difficulties with revenge, but also with pride. Pastor Jay helps us to see this perspective that God has for us and helps us to 1) Remember what we are; 2) Remember why we are here; and 3) Remember who we were created to worship and serve.
