The iconic 1996 release Antichrist Superstar takes center stage this episode. It's an album that's surely on Polly and Taylors personal top 10 albums of all-time lists, but how does it land 24 years later for a complete Marilyn Manson newbie?

God is in The Podcast is a new podcast series where we group review each of shock-rocker Marilyn Manson's mainline album releases! The catch is that Taylor and Polly are fans, and that our guest for each episode will feature someone a little less familiar with Brian Hugh Warner's musical output to hopefully create interesting and fun perspectives. A new year, a new Sockscast! Well...I mean it's a new episode, not that we're necessarily doing anything new. That said, we start the year off by welcoming back our good pal and Power Rangers blogger (no, seriously!) Samurai Karasu. This episode is jam packed with lots of fun discussion about console flashcarts, robots, genies, pretty boys on road trips, and the precious cinnamon rolls of Danganronpa. We may also figure out what NES game is worth still paying $50 for!
Sooooo...This is a bit of an oddball thing, but follow me here. During the Christmas break, Sockspals Rainiac and Styles Rockman (wrasslin' fans) conned myself and Maple (NOT wrasslin' fans) into watching a dumb wrasslin' match while we chatted on Discord. Unbeknownst to them, I decided to have a little fun and record the entire thing and what we ended up with was a pretty weird and extremely dumb rifftrack that I'm releasing here. For this to fully work, you're gonna wanna have access to video of the 2001 Royal Rumble match (this isn't hard to find) and then you'll need to cue the video up to the audio. Don't worry, I make sure to give a countdown for when to start so that they're in sync. Sooo...enjoy? I dunno. This was a pretty dumb off-the-cuff thing to throw out there, but I'm sure there's SOMEONE out there that'll have a use for this, yeah?

The Sockscast train pulls into the station an eensy-weensy little bit late this week due to illness, but try as it might, illness has no concrete way of stopping the maximum amount of yappage coming from the only sorta-videogame podcast that matters!
