Title: Pottymouth and Stoopid Author: James Patterson Narrator: Scott Connolly Format: Unabridged Length: 3 hrs and 7 mins Language: English Release date: 08-10-17 Publisher: Random House Audiobooks Genres: Kids, Ages 8-10

Publisher's Summary: David and his best friend, Michael, were tagged with awful nicknames way back in preschool, when everyone did silly things. Fast-forward to seventh grade: 'Pottymouth' and 'Stoopid' are still stuck with the names - and everyone in school, including the teachers and their principal, believe the labels are true. So how do they go about changing everyone's minds? By turning their misery into megastardom on TV, of course! And this important story delivers more than just laughs - it shows that the worst bullying doesn't have to be physical and that things will get better.

Third must-have title in this gorgeous series from one of the UK's best-loved girls' authors, Cathy Cassidy. Each sister has a different story to tel. Which one will be your favourite? Cathy Cassidy was voted Queen of Teen in 2010 - beating Jacqueline Wilson and Louise Rennison to the throne.

Critic Reviews: Praise for Cathy's books: "Touching, tender and unforgettable." (Guardian)

Members Reviews: Amazing. This series just keeps getting better and better, and I think this book could be the best one yet. Summer goes through something that so many girls her age go through, and Cassidy handles the tentative subject with elegance and poise. The reader spends most of the book wishing someone wold notice what Summer is going through, as well as going through it with her, thanks to Cassidy's skilled writing. 5 star worthy.

Summers Dream..... I loved Summers Dream because it didn't only have really good story line, it was realistic. At times you felt like you were in Tanglewood with all the Tanberry's !

AWESOME I love this book it's filled with every thing that a great book needs. And I really don't know what else to say

Absolutely awful This was on of the worst books I have ever read, summer is an aspiring ballerina with almost the same plot as the other book "feels as if she's coming second to her twin" and doesn't want to see her sister doing all the things she should be doing, summer gets an eating disorder that lasts for two weeks in my opinion Cathy is making fun of it , like its a joke summer was hardly having a disorder she just cut down on her meals and it doesn't take two weeks for someone to notice something is wrong? Summer could have gone and spoke to another adult or even her sister, and how she and her friends are all " we thirteen proper teenagers" what the hell when you are thirteen you are not reliant on hair gel, and eyeliner etc everyone laughs and most people chew gum but noo e touches up their hair during school Cathy I am so dissapointed now I see all of your books are about weird girls who all do the same thing and a guy kisses them and happy ever after you know nothing about teenagers you make fun if them!

Good so far though Haven't read it yet. Good so far though!

Title: Exploring Exoplanets Author: Deborah Kops Narrator: Intuitive Format: Unabridged Length: 9 mins Language: English Release date: 06-14-17 Publisher: Lerner Publishing Group Genres: Kids, Ages 8-10

Publisher's Summary: Could there be other planets in the universe similar to those in our solar system? Yes! Scientists have discovered worlds circling distant stars. They call these objects exoplanets. In this book, you'll learn how scientists detect these faraway worlds. As part of the Searchlight Books™ collection, this series explores outer space and sheds light on the question: what's amazing about space?

Members Reviews: Five Stars Great!

This is an exciting look at how astronomers are discovering and studying exoplanets ... When you peer into the nighttime sky you can often see millions of stars overhead, but you cannot see any any planets. The reason you can't see them is because "unlike stars, planets do no give off their own light." Planets, including Earth, are round bodies that orbit stars. Earth, along with seven other planets, travels or orbits around the Sun which is a star. When we talk about the Sun and its planets we are talking about our solar system. Other planets which orbit around stars in other solar systems are called exoplanets. We cannot see them when we look into the nighttime skies, but astronomers, using powerful telescopes, "have discovered more than five hundred exoplanets" since the 1990s. Astronomers have different names for the different types of exoplanets they have discovered. For example, large ones are called Jupiters and ones that have a close orbit to a star are called hot Jupiters. Smaller exoplanets, even though they may be larger than our Earth, are called Neptunes. Those who similarly have close orbits like the hot Jupiters are called hot Neptunes. In this book you'll get a more detailed explanation of these exoplanets and you'll get to see a visual representation of the Gliese 582 solar system in comparison to ours. You'll also learn how exoplanets are discovered, what astronomers know when they see a star wobble or see light dip, you'll learn about observatories, telescopes, spacecrafts, and the "future search for exoplanets." This is an exciting look at how astronomers are discovering and studying exoplanets. The beginning nonfiction text and layout of the book make the world of exoplanets easy for the young student to understand. The book is generously illustrated with photographs and artistic renditions that provide visuals for the topic at hand. For example, when the Gaia spacecraft and its mission is being discussed, there are illustrations of the craft and an imaginary artistic rendition of a hot Jupiter and asteroids orbiting a star, a scene the Gaia would try to capture. Captions are factual, adding additional information to the text, but also pose questions for the student to think about. This is a vibrant book that would appeal to a wide range of readers, including reluctant ones. In the back of the book is an index, a glossary, and additional recommended book and website resources to explore. This book courtesy of the publisher.

Members Reviews: Classic story, well worth rereading The last time I read this book was close to 60 years ago, while still in high school, where it was assigned, as one of the required books for the term, in our Freshman English class. That was way back, when schools actually required students to read at least 4 books, each semester of every year, just for their English course. While the syntax and language are, at times, arcane, the story is a classic one, to which I recommend all readers.

Good man found his way I read this book , when I was 10or 12 years old. I was amazed how I saw Robinson Crusoe and Friday this time. I saw a man doing penance for some wrong dealings , and earning his way back to society.

A classic I tried to read this book when I was a teenager and I was put off by the language and writing style. This time I stayed with it and was glad I did. The writing style is quite a bit different than today's. Some of the sentences in this book were three pages long. I viewed it on a Kindle and was glad to have the dictionary available to look up some of the terms used. Overall a very good book. It dragged in some spots, especially when he spends forty pages discussing why the settlers should marry the women they've lived with. The scanning was haphazard - there was no editing after it was scanned, so page numbers and odd notations are scattered randomly throughout. It was free, so I can't complain too much.

Perfect for someone who still enjoys picking up a book! Purchased as a gift for a family member. This was not a new copy and I did not want a new one. The condition was exactly as stated in the description. Classic story and the great feel of an old book. Quite a combination.

Good read! How do you get as old as me and not have read Robinson Crusoe? I don't know the answer to that question. My grandson suggested that I read it, and I did. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Title: Hercules Subtitle: The Twelve Labors [A Greek Myth] Author: Paul D. Storrie Narrator: Book Buddy Digital Media Format: Unabridged Length: 30 mins Language: English Release date: 04-20-17 Publisher: Lerner Publishing Group Genres: Kids, Ages 8-10

Publisher's Summary: Famous for his superhuman strength, Hercules is the most popular hero in Greek mythology. The son of Zeus - king of the gods - and a mortal mother, Hercules faces the wrath of Zeus's wife Hera, who resents her illegitimate stepson and vows to bring him misery. With her magical powers, she tricks Hercules into performing a series of 12 seemingly impossible labors, each one a test of his strength, courage, cunning, and fighting skill. Is Hercules strong enough to foil her scheme? For this exciting retelling of the 12 labors, author Paul Storrie consulted the classic work The Age of Fable (1859), by American Thomas Bulfinch, and Edith Hamilton's Mythology (1942), both of which are considered the best resources about on ancient myths and legends.

Members Reviews: If you into Greek mythology and enjoy the beauty of graphic novels, you should check out this book. I have always been interested in Greek and Roman mythology stories and I have read quite a few of them over the years. When I saw this graphic novel version I immediately purchased it even though I have read this story (Hercules: The twelve labors, A Greek myth by Paul Storrie, Steve Gurth and Barbara Schuz) in school many years ago. This Greek tale is about Hercules who is half God and half human. His father is Zeus, the king of the Gods, but his mother, Alcmena was mortal. Zeusâs wife, the Goddess Hera hates Hercules because Zeus had mated with a mortal. She plots with King Eurystheus to destroy Hercules by sending the warrior on dangerous missions in hopes Hercules will get killed or fail, but Hercules succeeds in all twelve labors. The illustrations are beautiful in this graphic novel and really make the story come alive. Even if you have already read this story in another book, if you like graphic novels, you should check out this publication. I found this a fun graphic novel to read. Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: The Samurai Soul: An old warriorâs poetic tribute).

Hercules The book arrived in the time frame expected and was in great condition. I love this book. Great way to introduce Myths and legends to students with special needs. My students found it easy to read and it met requirements in my English class.

Good In spite of its great graphics, I wasn't as impressed with this story as with the others in this collection because more space was needed for a good graphic retelling of Hercules' twelve labors. It seems that the storyteller and illustrator are giving us a brief survey of Hercules' adventures. Good examples are the King Arhthur editions or Odysseus' story. Nevertheless, it was OK. You still have the story of courage and it lends itself well to a discussion on character traits, motives, and goals, as well as mythology.

Great quick read! I found out that I had to finish a book by the next day at my school and I was freaking out trying to find a book! This book saved me. It is very interesting and I found it enjoyable! I hope you do too!

Five Stars Thank you

Opiniones de los miembros: Terrible Audio What disappointed you about El noveno deseo de cumpleanos [The Ninth Birthday Wish]? The narration for this book is so terrible that my 7 year old refused to listen to it. If a book is going to be available as a Spanish language edition, at the very least it should be read by a fluent speaker of the language. Would you ever listen to anything by Bruce E Arrington and Florence Jayne again? I can't say for sure. The narration was so terrible that we were unable to even listen to the story. It may be a wonderful book, but was completely ruined by the narrator. Would you be willing to try another one of Ramona Masters performances? Absolutely NOT!

Title: The Dream of the King Author: Dhruv Garg Narrator: Shekhar Bajpai Format: Unabridged Length: 5 mins Language: English Release date: 01-24-17 Publisher: Dhruv Garg Genres: Kids, Ages 8-10

Publisher's Summary: These delightful stories capture the very essence of India. These stories are set in both the rustic setting of laid back villages, where time has almost stopped, to the modern settings of cities, where everyone is in a hurry to reach somewhere, yesterday. Simple stories, simple ideas, and simple thoughts reminds one of the simple life that once existed and is now more and more getting lost as we are drawn inexorably into the speedy web of things. Some of the stories are inspired by folk tales of India and others by simple observations that the author has seen and felt. Nonetheless, they are meant just for the pure joy of listening.

Publisher's Summary: This story is a gem representing the delightful stories from the Indian subcontinent which capture the simple essence of everyday life in India. The simple pleasures of life indicate a time gone by before the advent of cellphones and Facebook, a time which almost stood still, a time where children could revel in the rain, make paper boats and race them down a drain, play marbles and generally pass time. The once idyllic life almost seems too slow to bear and hence is fascinating to watch unfurl as we listen to the story.
