After years of being lost on the Podcast highway it seems they have finally found their exit and figured this whole podcasting thing out (two can only hope). The Nailed It Wall Podcast is a weekly podcast that takes a deep dive into the challenges that both students and teachers face in and out of the classroom. Join Mrs. Scofield (8th grade science teacher) and Mr. Lane the STEM Guy (STEM/Computer Science teacher K-8) as they discuss their highest of highs and laugh at their lowest of lows.

Ms. Scofield shares about the difference between dropping her daughter off at college for freshman year versus sophomore year. Ms. Scofield also shares about her drive home where her and her son almost lost their lives in an epic Perfect Storm. Mr. Lane the STEM Guy shares about the journey of becoming an ASAP STEM Fellow through Arizona State University and how it has reignited his passion for STEM education, professional development, his love for his PLC and wanting to give all of his students the absolute best STEM education. This week on the Nailed It Wall Mrs. Scofield and Mr. Lane the STEM Guy have the pleasure of sitting down with Mrs. Shelly Schubert DVUSD's Deer Valley Online Learning K-12 principal. Mrs. Schubert reflects on the social and emotional needs of students/parents/teachers, her time at Sierra Verde STEAM Academy and a special lunch date with a kindergarten teacher that resonates with her to this day. Mrs. Schubert is opening DVUSD's first K-12 online school and shares what she is most excited about moving forward. Our hosts loved having the opportunity to sit down with their former assistant principal and listening to her story. Deb shares her personal story how one administrator told her how much the kids needed her and the lasting impact she would have on the lives of all of her students. JD shares about the work that is taking place among middle school educators across the country as part of the NSAEF (North America Scholastic Esports Federation) Fellows Program, how to build a gaming PC for under $250 dollars, and trying to navigate the esports waters in Arizona. Our hosts met JD at the AZTEA (Arizona Technology in Education Association) esports conference. JD is leading the way in his district, around the state of Arizona, and working with teachers from all over the country.
