The stunning location of Bramham Park has hosted this prestigious CCI*** Three Day Event since 1974. Bramham Park has been the family home of the Lane Fox family for the past 300 years and the family are actively involved in making the Welcome to Equi-Trek Bramham International Horse Trials one of the most popular and successful Events in the Country. The magnificent house provides the backdrop for the main arena activities and the Cross Country Course is set in the glorious and historic parkland.

A hugely popular win for China's only Olympic equestrian rider,Alex Hua Tian. He rode last and just pipped Clark Montgomery.
Aiofe returns to Bramham after missing out last year with an encouraging cross country round on "Pink Gin". They managed 12 time penalties but Aiofe was very happy with the round.

Yorkshire's Ollie Townend leads the Seniors CCI 3* event after a strong dressage score of 37.9 on MHS King Joules. Ollie talked to the press after securing top spot.
Emily aboard " Charlamagne" managed a dressage score of 43.9. That was good enough to put her into second spot in the U25 CCI 3*.
Local rider Nicola Wilson lies in joint 3rd place in the CCI 3 *. "Bulana" managed a score of 40.4.
The leader after the dressage in the U25 CCI 3* is Tom McEwen. His score of 40.4 on "Toldeo de Kerser" was the best of the day.
The first and only Chinese Olympic equestrian eventer Alex Hua Tia has had a good day at Bramham. His horse "Don Geniro" managed a dressage score of 40.1.

No doubt about who the in form rider is at the moment. Gemma Tattersall not only has 2 horses in the top four in the CIC event but had a decent dressage in the ERM ( Event Riders Masters). The score of 45.8 was one of the best of the day.

The final four week countdown has begun ahead of this year’s Equi-Trek Bramham International Horse Trials (9- 12 June). There’s now some warmth to the sun to green up the Park, the estate crew are busy preparing and the event team are organising every detail so the action packed four days are better than ever before. The competition has added excitement this time as it’s an Olympic year and we’ll be creating a carnival atmosphere of our own – no need for a trip to Rio! Although a few riders will be hoping that their performance in Yorkshire does secure a ticket on the plane.

This year’s charity at the Equi Trek Bramham International Horse Trials is the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. IT costs twelve thousand pounds a day to keep the two copters in the air and Derm Tanner spoke to Jenny Jones from the charity.

The Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund was established in 1988 by the parents of Mark Davies. Mark died in an accident whilst competing at Burghley Horse Trials. Since the charity started approaching one million pounds has been given to help injured riders.

The spring weather has provided perfect conditions for growing so the park at Bramham is looking pristine with a green carpet providing ideal going for the horses. Ian has again used the Park’s features and undulations to provide the ultimate test. Ian dreams up the fences and chainsaw master David Evans and his team make them come to life and once again, every obstacle is a work of art. Over 140 riders from around the world are expected to battle it out across three eventing contests; the Equi-Trek CCI3, the British Equestrian Trade Association CIC3 and the Bishop Burton College U25 CCI3* and all will tackle Ian’s course on Saturday 7 June.

George's eldest son, Nick, also served in the Household Cavalry for 10 years before a career in business in Leeds and London. In 1989 he married The Hon. Rachel Baring, eldest daughter of the 2nd Lord Howick of Glendale. Together they have 5 children.
Following his mother's death in 1997, Nick and his family moved into the House and he took over the management of the Estate from his father. He has further developed and diversified the businesses of the Estate.
In 1999, with a grant from English Heritage, he commissioned a Landscape Management and Conservation Plan, to serve as a guide for the continued restoration of Robert Benson's grand design. In 2003 the Leeds Rock Festival moved to Bramham, further enhancing the Estate and allowing the restoration of the Southern Parkland, which had been ploughed-out during World War II.
Nick & Rachel continue to develop Bramham, the 10th generation of the creator's family, preserving it for its next 300 years.

One annual feature at Bramham is the event’s backing of a charity and this year’s partner is The Fire Fighters Charity, the UK’s leading provider of services to support the fire and rescue community when they are in need. Charity representatives together with the Fire and Rescue Services from Yorkshire and Humberside region will be on-event raising awareness of their work with horses and fundraising towards the £9million target required annually.
The Fire Fighters Charity is there for every one of the 66,000 serving fire fighters plus control room staff, fire service support staff, retired fire fighters, and their families. Fire fighter’s jobs are inherently dangerous. Every 30 seconds in the UK, fire fighters are called to an incident, putting their lives on the line and often sustaining physical injury in the line of duty and many more go through emotional trauma after rescuing people in desperate situations. The Charity has three state-of-the-art residential rehabilitation centres. Run by dedicated teams of professionals, these centres offer a range of treatments to help people recover from or learn to live with their injury, trauma or illness, often helping fire fighters return to work after career-threatening injuries.
As well as Bramham’s own milestone birthday, The Fire Fighters Charity celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2013 so there’s much to celebrate on top of the three major competition titles up for grabs in the Equi-Trek CCI, the BETA CIC and the Bishop Burton College Under 25 CCI***. The tradestand area will be boosted this year by our charity as the local specialist large animal rescue units will be showing how they support the equine community. They will be demonstrating techniques on how they rescue horses from various scenarios, talking visitors through these rescues step by step and offering vehicle safety advice.
Regional Fundraiser for the Fire Fighters Charity, Chrissie Fielden, has experienced first-hand the professional care provided by the Fire Fighters Charity.” Whilst working for a Fire and Rescue Service in 2011, I had a very unspectacular fall off my young horse Bob. Having been airlifted to hospital I was told I had broken my neck. I received specialist residential rehabilitation at the Fire Fighters Charity centre in Penrith which not only put me back on my feet, but helped me come to terms with the life changing effects of my accident. I will be forever grateful for the professional and individual care I received at Jubilee House.”
Chrissie continued; “This is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of the Fire Fighters Charity and to help us raise money so we can continue to make a real difference to the lives of people within the fire community.”

From 6th – 9th June, Bramham will be celebrating a milestone birthday – the big 40 - as Yorkshire’s premier equestrian fixture. For his fourth year in charge, the former Olympic rider has introduced some new fences, re-sited some favourites and made great use of the undulations of the historic Bramham Park which is reported to be looking fabulous with near perfect going for the horses. While Ian provides the vision, master craftsman David Evans and his team bring the fences to reality and they’ve been busy with their chain saw art once again. Run by dedicated teams of professionals, these centres offer a range of treatments to help people recover from or learn to live with their injury, trauma or illness, often helping fire fighters return to work after career-threatening injuries.
As well as Bramham’s own milestone birthday, The Fire Fighters Charity celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2013 so there’s much to celebrate on top of the three major competition titles up for grabs in the Equi-Trek CCI, the BETA CIC and the Bishop Burton College Under 25 CCI***. As well as the eventing competitions, the event hosts top-flight show jumping, showing classes, young horse sections and Pony Club show jumping and mounted games. Plus, family entertainments, main ring shows, amazing food outlets and over 130 prime trade stands all combine to make Bramham an award winner, the 2012 BETA Event of the Year to be precise! So, make this your not-to-be-missed fixture of 2013, you won’t be disappointed!
The tradestand area will be boosted this year by our charity as the local specialist large animal rescue units will be showing how they support the equine community. They will be demonstrating techniques on how they rescue horses from various scenarios, talking visitors through these rescues step by step and offering vehicle safety advice.
Regional Fundraiser for the Fire Fighters Charity, Chrissie Fielden, has experienced first-hand the professional care provided by the Fire Fighters Charity.” Whilst working for a Fire and Rescue Service in 2011, I had a very unspectacular fall off my young horse Bob. Having been airlifted to hospital I was told I had broken my neck. I received specialist residential rehabilitation at the Fire Fighters Charity centre in Penrith which not only put me back on my feet, but helped me come to terms with the life changing effects of my accident. I will be forever grateful for the professional and individual care I received at Jubilee House.”
Chrissie continued; “This is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of the Fire Fighters Charity and to help us raise money so we can continue to make a real difference to the lives of people within the fire community.”
