After Separating his shoulder and potentially needing a career ending surgery, Devin understands and practices what it means to suffer and be tested with grace. Charity Sunshine Tillman-Dick and Justin Izlar, two of the best people he knew, lived their lives as if every interaction with anyone was a blessing, yet, they both were being tested and had personal challenges they battled with everyday to overcome.
When you meet someone, you never know their story. Charity, a double lung transplant survivor/ cancer fighter and Justin, the best person he's known since 4, someone he considers his brother, and battled multiple rounds of chemotherapy, each taught Devin how to have Grace at all times.
Devin Shares his story about how he separated his shoulder and how his mindset has shifted because of the people God has placed in his life. Suffer with Grace and move to impact and inspire others at all times.

The intentional targeting of black children, boys in particular in school has a high success rate due to the lack of a masculine principal. This is intertwined with the school to prison pipeline idea where black men are just as vulnerable due to not having a deliberate and recognized defense mechanism.
We cover a broad range of topics that provides the genesis of the lack of masculinity in our communities. Its a blessing being able to absorb all this knowledge from these men!

Collectively, we are seeing how the lack of a male presence is hindering the personal development of the kids we work with. Also, we feel the full power of the masculine voice is misunderstood and stifled because of its foreign sound within the community and the school system. The depths of a Black Educator who is a male and respected should never be stifled.
